ADL Spiked Sept. 11 Blockbuster;

Foxman & Crew Pressured Media To Suppress Israeli 9-11 Connection

By Mark Glenn

"What are you doing putting this stuff out there? You're killing us!"

These were the words of Abraham Foxman, executive director of the infamous Anti-Defamation League, considered by many in the know to be nothing more than a domestic branch of Israel's intelligence service Mossad.

According to an explosive piece recently appearing in the online edition of Counterpunch, Foxman shouted this during a sit-down he demanded to have with an unnamed Fox News executive shortly after Sept. 11.

The "stuff " that was causing Foxman so much indigestion that day was a damning, four-part investigative series Fox News had been airing after Sept. 11 dealing with the arrests of several hundred Israeli nationals as well as some of the incriminating circumstances surrounding their activities in the United States.

In particular, it was the story dealing with one group, known to investigators and journalists as the "high fivers," who, according to an arrest report by the Bergen County Police Department, were "seen by New Jersey residents on Sept. 11 making fun of the World Trade Center ruins and going to extreme lengths to photograph themselves in front of the wreckage."

The same police report also indicated that "maps of the city with certain places highlighted" were found in their vehicle, giving all of it the appearance that "they're hooked in with this" and that "they knew what was going to happen when they were at Liberty State Park."

Since then, Cameron's reports have been removed by the network from its archives on the Internet. However, the series can still be viewed on web sites around the world.

These men—along with many others arrested around the country after 9-11—were held by U.S. authorities for several months for questioning before being quietly sent back to Israel. What these investigations revealed was that the young Israeli nationals were all intelligence officers working for Mossad, a fact later admitted by Israel and proved by the comments of one of these men in a radio interview he gave after his return home. "We were sent to document the event," said one of the Israelis.

What is of particular importance in this development, however, was the role that pro-Israel pressure groups—in this case the ADL, AIPAC and the misnamed Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA)—played in the cover-up of the role Israel played in the mass murder of not just the 3,000 Americans on Sept. 11, but the 3,000+ American servicemen and 700,000 Iraqis subsequently killed in Iraq as well.

In a personal interview with American Free Press, the writer of the report in Counterpunch, Christopher Ketchum, indicated that Foxman just didn't call upon Fox News. Every major media outlet in America received a visit from the head of the ADL. In addition to Foxman inserting his largesse personally, executives at the highest levels of the various networks were also inundated with phone calls, letters and emails so numerous that they caused the computer networks to crash.

Of equal importance is the fact that according to the several intelligence and federal law enforcement agencies who were contacted, various members of the most powerful Jewish groups in the country visited the White House and petitioned officials at the highest levels to close down all investigations of the Israeli spies.

It is important to remember that the official position of these various Jewish groups has been that the stories circulating on the internet alleging Israeli foreknowledge of 9-11 have been nothing more than an "old canard" dreamt up by anti-Semites and Israel-haters and that there was never any evidence to suggest that such foreknowledge existed.

Had Americans been made aware of the arrests of hundreds of Israeli intelligence officers in the aftermath of Sept. 11 and the highly suspicious circumstances surrounding them, it is unlikely—even as propagandized as they are concerning the Middle East—that they would have signed on to sending their sons and daughters off to fight and die for Israel in Iraq.

Cover-ups are part of the dirty business of the Israeli lobby. Whether it involves the murderous attack on the USS Liberty by Israeli forces in 1967, Israeli foreknowledge of Sept. 11, the attempt to secure the release of major spy Jonathan Pollard or the efforts to gain an acquittal for the two AIPAC executives now standing trial for espionage, the conclusion to which all Americans must arrive is that Israel and her various tentacles collectively make up the most dangerous enemy the United States has ever faced.

A former schoolteacher fluent in several languages, Mark Glenn spoke at the AFP-TBR conference on the Middle East panel. He is a prolific writer whose provocative essays have been published worldwide. He and his wife Vicki and their eight children maintain a ranch in northern Idaho. His book, No Beauty in the Beast, can be ordered from TBR BOOK CLUB (1-877-773-9077) for $28 ppd.

Globalists Gather In Brussels

List of Attendees Copped by AFP; Trilats Push for Higher Gas Taxes

By James P. Tucker Jr.

BRUSSELS—America should impose a $1-pergallon increase in the gasoline tax as penance for causing pollution, John Deutch, former head of the Central Intelligence Agency, told the Trilateral Commission's secret meeting here.

When the TC called on the United States to increase gas taxes by 10 cents at a meeting in Tokyo in 1991, The Washington Post, which is always represented at TC and Bilderberg meetings, called for such an increase in an editorial the following day.

"The United States must adopt a carbon monoxide control policy," Deutch said.

If the United States or any country in the Organization for Economic Development "that is a large producer of greenhouse gas emissions is to retain a leadership role in other areas, it cannot just opt out of the global climate change policy process."

Deutch is most remembered for taking classified secrets home in his laptop, which led to the loss of his security clearance.

Later, CIA techies found that Deutch had been using the same computer, which contained national secrets, to surf the internet for pornography. The attorney general at the time, Janet "Butcher of Waco" Reno, declined to prosecute him.

The TC* got a ringing "chins up" about the pace of Europe's becoming a superstate while greatly expanding its efforts to establish an "Asian-Pacific Union" similar to the European Union and its planned "American Union" covering the entire Western Hemisphere.

The ultimate goal of internationalist groups like the Trilateral-Bilderberg cabal is to divide the world into three great regions for the profit of the international plutocratic mattoids running the show.

Even in its own literature, the Trilateral Commission plays up the part that it was formed in 1973 by private citizens of Japan, Europe and North America to foster "closer cooperation"—today, that means globalization—among these industrialized regions. Since that time, the group meets throughout the year to discuss ways in which the group can advance world government.

An important weapon in their arsenal is fanning public hysteria over "global warming."

But first, Peter Sutherland, TC's European chairman, Bilderberg leader, former member of the European Commission and chairman of British Petroleum, lifted their spirits with assurances that a European constitution—the final step toward making the entire continent including Britain into a single nation—would be ratified. TC and Bilderberg had fretted about this since a draft had been rejected by French and Dutch voters in 2005. The problem, he said, was letting people vote on the issue instead of having the proposed constitution approved by bureaucrats.

"There is a subdued mood in Europe for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, the precursor of the European Union," Sutherland said. "But the achievements are indeed remarkable . . . the free movement of goods, services, persons and capital has transformed Europe.

The effort succeeded because the integration process is based on a sharing
of sovereignty and a method of governance that has challenged the traditional competences of the nation-state."

However, Sutherland remarked, "the decision by [British Prime Minister] Tony Blair to hold a referendum . . . set off a train of events that has plunged Europe into a crisis of confidence about the future that is not warranted. After all, 18 countries, some by referendum, have taken all steps to ratify the treaty and of the rest, a significant majority could do so tomorrow without difficulty."

Since the 2005 rejection, countries from the former Soviet bloc and Iron Curtain countries have joined the union and would have to ratify.

Sutherland's message was clear: a new, shorter constitution must be proposed and ratified without the voters. His comments were also reflected in his commentary in the March 17 International Herald Tribune, which is published by the Bilderberg-controlled New York Times.

There was no mention that, at the same moment, he was attending the TC meeting. An independent source confirmed that the commentary was the text of his TC speech. A universal battle cry arose for the world to address "global warming" with a single voice. This issue is also a source of big bucks for these sons of smokestack industrialists.

One of those voices belonged to "the General Lord Guthrie," director of N.M. Rothschild & Sons, member of the House of Lords and former chief of the Defense Staff in London.

"We must address the global climate crisis with a single voice, and impose rules that apply worldwide," he said. "Otherwise, our children and children's children will endure starvation and unimaginable hardship. We cannot address this crisis as 180 separate nation-states. We must act as a single world state."

America's TC leaders are growing old and frail, and another generation is being prepared. Founder David Rockefeller is 90 and in poor health. His nephew, Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.), a lineal descendant of John the Original, attended the TC for the first time in many years.

Familiar American faces included former House Speaker Tom Foley (D-Wash.), former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, assistant to President Jimmy Carter for national security Zbigniew Brzezinski, former House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt (D-Mo.); former U.S. Trade Representative Carla Hills, former Assistant Secretary of Defense Richard Perle, former Undersecretary of State Thomas Pickering, and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.

Newcomers included Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), former Rep. Jim Leach (R-Iowa) and Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.). All congressmen and senators were in violation of a federal law prohibiting public officials from attending secret meetings with private citizens to discuss public policy. They also traveled at taxpayers' expense, and they do not fly coach.

How I Got One Trilat to Cough Up Some Secrets

By James P. Tucker Jr.

BRUSSELS - The Secretive internationalist group called the Trilateral Commission (TC) went to its greatest effort ever to hide its presence here, but, in the end, it was a member who provided the list of participants to this reporter for American Free Press, his "colleague."

Upon my arrival March 14, the hotel staff made a big demonstration of checking and determining that no TC group would be meeting there over the weekend. The hotel would be busy with many "small groups."

Later, I returned to the Brussels Hilton to eavesdrop on TC's advance staff. There are two advantages to being partly deaf and a nicotine addict. First, I can turn up the hearing aid in my left ear so that it is possible to hear a man whispering at 40 feet. Second, Trilateralists who are also smokers must, when outside their suites, sit near me to indulge.

On Thursday, March 15, TC's advance staff began arriving, along with a few more eager Trilateralists. Still, all the postings in the lobby were for small events. By sharing the elevator - quite by chance - on numerous occasions I learned the first floor was reserved to receive Trilateralists and the 26th was where they would meet.

The postings in the lobby on Friday, March 17, called the TC event on the 26th floor a "reception" for "Delta Sigma Delta" and "Agrinnis," Knowing better, I went to confront the globalists on the 26th floor.

"I know your meeting is private, but may I have a copy of the agenda and list of participants?" I asked. "Credentials" were demanded. I mentioned Francois Sauzey, long-time head of TC's European office.

"He is no longer with us," said the receptionist.

"We may put it (the list) on our web site next week," he said.

Of course, anybody can have his name purged," I responded, as security men escorted me to the elevator and lobby. I went back to strolling through the lobby, showing great interest in gift displays and artwork. But, when any Trilateralist left his chair, he took all of his materials

Then came the big break.

The only seat available at the small bar crowded by nicotine addicts was next to a man puffing and examining his TC folder.

"This is my first TC meeting," I said, "and I am under strict orders to call the bank before I check in."

He nodded, smiling knowingly.

"May I have a glance at your list?" "Sure," he said, handing it over. We had exchanged names (mine phony) but it was hard to understand his thick European accent. I remember that he had been an ambassador to the United States and was a NATO official.

"May I make a copy of your list because I will have to say ‘hello' to a lot of people before I get mine?" He graciously agreed, then discovered he had been given two copies and offered one to me. I graciously accepted.

That is the list partially reproduced in the following article.

9-11's ‘Smoking Gun'

AFP Interviews Dr. Steven Jones on WTC Demolition Claims

By Mark Anderson

Former Brigham Young University physics professor Steven Jones speaks more freely since BYU let him go for openly discussing his specialized research into the phrsics behing the 9-11 attacks. Presently, he has broadened his perspective while continuing his respected work into exactly what physically demolished the World trade Center's twin towers and the nearby World Trade Center 7 building on that "Black Tuesday."

Jones has preliminary new data representing a big leap forward in solving this major crime - while demolishing the official conspiracy theory that the two well-built sky-scrapers and WTC 7 were promptly reduced to dust and rubble by Islamic fanatics, some box cutters and two passenger jets.

While he's careful to point out that his findings must undergo the customary, peer review by other scientists, Jones shared some highlights of his groundbreaking work with the hundreds of attendees at Freedom Law School's March 9-11 Justice and Freediom conference in Irvine, Calif. American Free Press, a co-sponsor with the law school, was there to bring readers this exclusive report.

SMOKING GUN

According to Jones's new data, the telltale chemical signatures of a compound known as thermate, an accelerant that burns extremely hot and can cut through steel like a warm knife through butter, appeared when he performed laboratory tests of metal particles found in material from the twin towers. This dust (along with pieces of steel, human bone fragments, etc.) was ejected from the crumbling buildings with incredible force and crashed through the windows of several nearby building, while also pouring onto rooftops, into sewers and other parts of the city. Jones's dust sample for lab tests was obtained from a woman's apartment at 113 Dedar St. In New York City. She had the presence fo mind to keep some of the dust for an art project.

The signature of burnng thermate that Jones found, shown on a graph, consists of iron, sulfur (which almost peaks off the chart), aluminum and copper.

Thermate is thermite with sulfur added. Adding sulfur makes it even easier to cut through steel.

Referring to what his findings tell him, Jones said: "I can tell you what they put in there (in the explosive mix) - iron oxide, aluminum power, copper oxice and potassium permanganate."

The fineness of the thermate powder determines the speed of the reaction. A video clip on Jones's overhead projector showed a lab experiment which established that ignited thermate cuts through steel in an instant. Moreover, thermate comprised of ultra-fine powder reacts explosively. This is precisely the kind of substance that could have caused the Twin Towers' structural steel to quickly fail and the building to collapse in the short time that they did. A number of firefighters and other witnesses reported hearing explosions independent of the impacts of the jetliners - some in a "boom-boom-boom" rapid sequence.

Jones's new data confirm what The Deseret News, a Utah newspaper, reported in April 2006 when Jones was still at BYU. The paper said then that Jones "believes an incendiary substance called thermite, bolstered by sulfur, was used to generate exceptionally hot fires at the World Trade Center on 9-11, causing the structural steel to fail and the buildings to collapse." The paper also noted that the government requires standard explosives to contain tag elements enabling them to be traced back to their manufacturers. But no tags are required in aluminum and iron oxide, the principal materials used to make thermite. Nor are tags required in sulfur, Jones said back then.

Jones's new findings fascinated many at the California conference.

"The implications are incredible!" declared Dr. Doug Rokke (U.S. army ret.), a leading authority on depleted uranium munitions who spoke at the conference and was invited to comment during Jones's talk. He added that the data strongly suggest that "specialized explosives were placed inside the World Trade Center" to allow the buildings to come down. "It's not box cutters

Rokke recalled overseeing the use of thermite in the Army. He said the compound can be attached to a building and "set off by remote control."

Summarizing Jones's presentation and taking into account the many eyewitnesses from police and fire departments, first responders' observations recorded on radio transmissions and the firsthand account of former WTC custodian William Rodriguez, Rokke couldn't emphasize enough how important it is for Americans to realize what's at stake and take corrective action.

Rodriquez, known as the last survivor out of the WTC north tower, told the audience that an explosion shook the building under his feet in the bottom floors of the building, far below where the plane hit and several seconds before it flew into the north tower. He said during his own speech and later during Jones's talk that there was an acrid smell after the explosion that made his throat tighten up severely. He smelled sulfur, he said.

According to Jones, seismic evidence supports Rodriguez's account, indicating that an event like an explosion took place about seven seconds before the north tower was hit by a plane.

Notably, the Worcester Polytechic Institute (WPI) found that steel samples from the ground zero had "evidence of severe high-temperature corrosion attack on the steel, including oxidant sulfidation." The WPI report called this severe corrosion of two steel samples "a very unusual event."

FOOT-DRAGGING

Jones pointed out that an important National Institute on Standards and Technology (NIST) report on WTC 7 is long overdue. The 40-plus-story building had only residual damage from the impact on the twin towers and minimal fires but collapsed into its own footprint at free-fall speed as if in a controlled demolition. NIST has refused to release photos and videos despite Freedom of Information Act requests. Moreover, Jones said NIST did not test for residue from the use of accelerants such as thermite or thermate, despite specific fire code regulations (the NFPA 921 code) that require testing for high-temperature accelerants at a fire or crime scene.

F"This may be actionable," Jones commented, pointing out that NIST could be legally liable for not testing according to the code.

Gun Control Proponents Shooting Blanks

Professional gun grabbers finding times tough right now; may be regrouping for 2008

For most Americans, guns are not a political issue. People buy and own guns to protect their families, not to commit crimes. The truth is that even millions of Americans who support and vote for gun control own guns themselves, because deep down they share the basic human need to feel secure in their homes.

The gun control movement has lost momentum in recent years. The Democratic Party has been conspicuously silent on the issue in recent elections because they know it's a political loser. In the midst of declining public support for new gun laws, more and more states have adopted concealed-carry programs. The Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and last ear's hurricanes only made matters worse for gun control proponents, as millions of Americans were starkly reminded that we cannot rely on government to protect us from criminals. Gun sales have gone up.

Most supporters of gun rights take no pleasure in this fact, nor do they trumpet it as a political victory over gun control forces. The time has come to stop politicizing gun ownership, and start promoting responsible use of firearms to make America a safer place. Guns are here to stay; the question is whether only criminals will have them.

The media has not been honest in reporting about guns, especially when it comes to statistics about law-abiding individuals who use firearms to prevent or deter crimes. Many of the "assault rifles" vilified by the press are in fact sporting rifles that are no longer available to hunters and outdoors men. Of course true military-style fully automatic rifles remain widely available to criminals on the black market.

The gun control debate generally ignores the historical and philosophical underpinnings of the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment is not about hunting deer or keeping a pistol in your night stand. It is not about protecting onself against common criminals. It is about preventing tyranny. The founders knew that unarmed citizens would never be able to overthrow a tyrannical government as they did. They envisioned government as a servant, not a master, of the American people. The muskets they used against the British army were the assault rifles of that time. It is practical, rather than alarmist, to understand that unarmed citizens cannot be secure in their freedoms.

It's convenient for gun banners to dismiss this argument by saying, "That could never happen here, this is america." but history shows that only vigilant people can keep government under control. By banning certain weapons today, we may plant the seeds for tyranny to flourish decades from now.

Tortured interpretations of the Second amendment cannot change the fact that both the letter of the amendment itself and the legislative history conclusively show that the founders intended ordinary citizens to be armed. The notion that the Second amendment confers rights only upon organized state-run militias is preposterous; the amendment is meaningless unless it protects the gun rights of individuals.

Gun control may have faded as a political issue, but the mentality that Washington knows best - and that certain constitutional rights are anachronisms - is alive and well. Look for gun control advocates to bide their time and look for new ways to resurrect the issue in 2008 and beyond.

Attorney General in President's Pocket

By Richard Walker

Ever since attorney General Alberto Gonzales fell in with George W. Bush his life has been riddled with controversy. History may now credit him with being the attorney general who expanded the raw power of the presidency in a way that has threatened the system of checks and balances set forth by our Founding Fathers - the very foundation upon which the federal government was built.

Bonzales's career did not start out that way. His grandparents were illegal Mexican immigrants, who settled in Texas. His father worked as a construction worker, raising eight children. Gonzales himself was born near Houston in 1995. By the time his father died in 1982, Gonzales had been awarded a degree from Harvard Law School.

Reports on Gonzales's early career note that he was a quiet, successful and effective Houston lawyer in the firm of Vinson and Elkins, that is until he aligned his star with the ambitious Texas governor named George bush. It was 1994, and Bush persuaded him to be his general counsel.

No one quite knows what Bush saw in Gonzales except his obvious Mexican ancestry.

In 2000, Gonzales launched a successful campaign for the Texas Supreme Court and the energy industry in Texas was his biggest donor, with Enron donating $34,500.

When Bush entered the White House no one was surprised that he appointed the ever smiling Gonzales to the role of White House counsel. By then, Gonzales was Bush's legal guardian and oracle, and it was no long before he showed he would do whatever Bush asked of him.

In what is now considered to be Gonzales's most contentious move, he authored a memo in January 2002 dismissing the Geneva Conventions as "quaint." some experts now see that memo as the start of a process that weakened America's commitment to the treatment of the prisoners of war and led to the creation of a legal void in which abuses began to appear, including torture and the use of "harsh" interrogation techniques like water boarding and sexual humiliation.

Bush was not the only person Gonzales was prepared to go to any lengths to protect. He made sure reporters and lawmakers never got access to documents that would have revealed what Cheney had been up to when he held secret meetings of his Energy Task Force. For some commentators it was evidence that Gonzales's energy industry donors from his days in Texas finally got their money's worth.

Still, Gonzales's loyalty was to Bush, and he exploited his new role to further the agenda of the White House. That became apparent at the end of 2005 when it was revealed that as White House counsel he had authorized U.S. intelligence to eavesdrop on American citizens without seeking appropriate warrants. He had then continued to oversee and provide legal cover for the program in his role as attorney general. In doing so he undermined the Fourth Amendment.

It was Gonzales who also provided legal cover for Guantanamo and made the argument for military commissions. Some retired generals accused him of preventing military legal experts from participation in Justice Department discussions about detention and interrogation practices because he knew that military lawyers - Judge Advocate Generals Corps - would not have backed his assault on the Geneva Conventions.

Until recently, Gonzales's main critics were Democrats, human rights organizations and retired generals. But now he is being assailed on an international stage. A German court indicted him in absentia last year for authorizing the kidnapping of a German citizen. That case may well end up in the International Criminal court in The Hague, thereby making it impossible for Gonzales to travel freely in the future to countries that have signed onto The Hague court.

The clamor for Gonzales to resign over the questionable sacking of eight U.S. attorneys may lead to even greater scrutiny of his role in the Bush administration over the past six years. A Democratic Congress has him in its sights and it is unlikely to allow him to get comfortable, even if the president stands by him. On the other hand, Gonzales has shown such unquestioning loyalty he would probably fall on his sword tomorrow if his biggest client, Bush asked him to take one for the team. Some critics have speculated that it would be easier for the president to sacrifice his personal lawyer than his brain - Karl Rove.

IDAHO NIXES ‘AMERICAN UNION'

Thirteen states join Idaho lawmakers to stop globalist plan for the Americas

THE STATES WHICH, ONCE UPON A TIME, created the federal government under the Constitution are trying to give their arrogant "offspring" some direction. But over the long haul, the very-wealthy and well-connected, through their media empire, think tanks, foundations, banking schemes, lobbying outfits and other means, have led that offspring astray, severely corrupting it while sharply eclipsing the average person's influence on the federal government.

Stepping up to the plate, Idaho has now become the first state to pass a legislative resolution, House Joint Memorial No. 5, in an effort to direct the U.S. Congress to drop out of the North American Union, or NAU—a proposed economic-political merger of the United States, Mexico and Canada. The resolution also calls on Congress to withdraw from any further participation in the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) of North America, an initiative designed to lay the groundwork for the NAU.

The NAU is approximately modeled after the European Union, or EU, which is comprised of formerly independent nations and is largely ruled by a centralized bureaucracy in Brussels.

The 13 states besides Idaho urging Congress to nix the NAU/SPP are: Georgia, Arizona, Missouri, Illinois, Oregon, Montana, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Utah, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington and Virginia.

Some of the state resolutions oppose the creation of North American Free Trade Agreement "superhighways" like the Trans-Texas Corridor, or TTC, a super-wide highway, railway and utility system slated to be built parallel to Interstate 35 from Laredo, Texas, north to the border with Oklahoma, with concrete tributaries and other tollways rippling through Texas as part of a continental cargo transport system.

According to a care2.com, passage of Idaho's detailed resolution was credited to grassroots activists. The resolution itself makes several points, such as, according to the U.S. Commerce Department, U.S. trade deficits with Canada and Mexico "have significantly increased since the implementation of the North American Free Trade Agreement . . . and the volume of imports from Mexico has soared since NAFTA, straining security checks at the U.S. border" and "the NAFTA superhighway system from the West Coast of Mexico through the United States and into Canada has been suggested as part of a North American Union to facilitate trade among the SPP countries."

Furthermore, echoing recent reports in AFP and other sources, the resolution acknowledges that huge ship cargos will be unloaded at Mexican Pacific-side ports so the cargo can be trucked and sent by rail through Mexico and into the United States via the TTC. However, it also adds that "plans of Asian trading powers to divert cargo from U.S. ports such as Los Angeles to ports in Mexico will only put pressure on border inspectors, interfering with their already overwhelming job of intercepting the flow of drugs and illegals flowing into this country."

The overall TTC plan calls for numerous other new tollways and conversion of regular highways to tollways that, if built, would ripple through many parts of Texas. The statements and diagrams of Kansas City SmartPort and other organizations amenable to NAU/SPP show that the envisioned network of NAFTA superhighways, including the TTC, is ideal for physically integrating the United States, Canada and Mexico and would greatly facilitate the open migration of goods, people and capital across the three nations' formerly sovereign borders, if this overall scheme is not defeated.

The recipient of this and the other state resolutions—the U.S. House of Representatives—itself has House Concurrent Resolution 40 in its docket. Introduced by Rep.Virgil Goode (R-Va.), H.C.R. 40 has 12 co-sponsors.

On Jan. 22, 2007, it was referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and to the Committee on Foreign Affairs. HCR 40 would put Congress on record against the NAFTA superhighway and the NAU.

It reads like a pared down version of Idaho's resolution. Not everyone is convinced that these state resolutions deserve a rousing applause. Some comments posted at ImmigrationWatchdog.com see the resolutions as theatrics or as well-meaning but somewhat toothless gestures.

Some suggested impeachment proceedings against President Bush and others for supporting the NAU. Such support is seen as treasonous and, therefore, impeachable. Other posted comments, however, say the resolutions are tangible, welcome progress.

ANOTHER APPROACH

Coming at this issue from another perspective, the We the People Foundation reports filing a "petition for redress regarding the North American Union."

A strategy outlined on the foundation's web site notes, "We must take the first step. We, the People, must Petition the United States Government for Redress of Grievances regarding the North American Union."

It was reportedly served on every member of Congress and the president on March 15. A transmittal letter was to be served with each petition. On March 30, citizens involved in this movement assembled at Lafayette Park opposite the White House that early afternoon, to await the president's response and that of the Congress. The letter informs the president and Congress that "should they fail in their constitutional obligation" to promptly respond to the petition, then, "the people will not be filing tax returns for 2006 and will retain their money until their grievances are redressed."

This approach follows a long-established principle, foundation members say.

Even Jewish Billionaire Soros Says AIPAC Way Too Powerful

Global Powerbroker Says Fear of Israeli Lobbies Silences Debate on U.S. Middle East Policy

By Richard Walker

Jewish billionaire George Soros has invited the wrath of the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee by publicly claiming the Israeli lobby silences critics of Israel and has too much influence within America's two main parties.

In an article in The New York Review of Books, Soros argued that anyone who confronts AIPAC invites its wrath with the result that few people are prepared to question its power over America's Middle East policy. He feels it is time american Jews "reined in" AIPAC, which has been at the center of a major spying scandal in the past year. Two of its senior executives were accused of passing U.S. secrets t a Mossad agent within the Israeli embassy in Washington. That fact, however, did not deter manyleading Republicans and Democrats, including Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice and the Clintons, from continuing to support the organization.

AIPAC's annual meeting in Washington is attended by the high and mighty from Capitol Hill. During this year's conference, AIPAC lobbied for the United States to stand with Israel and refuse to accept the new Palestinian national unity government - a stance in opposition to almost all the other countries on Earth.

Soros knew that by standing up to AIPAC he was placing himself in the firing line. That was the fate of former President Jimmy Carter a year ago when he accused Israel of imposing a form of apartheid on Palestinians by continuing to encircle Palestinian territory with a wall that has been condemned by the International Court in The Hague. In addition, Carter was branded an anti-Demite and has since admitted the level of vitriol firected at him was something he had never before experienced. In his opinion, it was all because he did something most Americans and the American media have been frightened to do. He questiond Israel's treatment of the Palestinians.

It was clear to Carter that the Israeli lobby intimidated and silenced critics of quickly found he had few friends in Washington. Bill Clinton, whose wife Hillary needs the Jewish vote in her run for the presidency, distanced himself from carter's remarks and some senior figures connected to Carter's presidential library resigned.

None of that bothered Soros. He was quickly becoming familiar with the tactics of the pro-Israel lobby. In February, Martin Peretz at The New Republic described him as "a cog in the Hitlerite."; It was the type of low-brow, thuggish comment Soros had come to expect from people who could not tolerate genuine debate. In his New York Review of Books article, Soros made it clear that anyone who challenged AIPAC or Israeli policy was sure to be subjected to a campaign of vilification. He added that Democratic and Republican politicians were well acquainted with the risks of taking on the Jewish lobby and that they were part of a wall of silence surrounding the activities of AIPAC. As a consequence, AIPAC's hardline policies destabilized the Middle East, and it was time for American Jews to speak out against the lobby group.

It is important to see political view in a wider context. He is Jewish, but admits he is neither a practicing Jew, nor a Zionist. He is also one of the Democratic Party's most generous benefactors. Recently he openly supported presidential candidate Barack Obama, but Obama was careful not to alienate the Jewish lobby by insisting he did not subscribe to Soro's views about the need for debate about Israeli-Aerican relations.

Soros says he cares about his fellow Jews and for that reason believes Isrel must rid itself of its innate militarism. In particular, he asserts that belligerent policies, which lead to the killing of 10 Palestinians for every Israeli and the destruction of the civilian infrastructure of Lebanon, cannot by justified. He warns that if Israel continues to silence debate on these issues it will find itself in the same position that America found itself during the lead-up to the 2003 Iraq invasion. The Bush administration silenced critics by accusing them of being unpatriotic and then launched an invasion that will likely turn out to be one of the greatest blunders in U.S. history. Likewise, Israel, through groups like AIPAC, continues to charge that its critics are its enemies. In so doing, it risks making fatal errors that will bring about its demise.

Soros is not the only one taking heat from the pro-Zionist lobby in the United States and the Israeli media. Pulitzer-Prize-winning columnist Nicholas Kristof was recently blasted by the New York Sun for "spreading a blood libel." His perceived sin was that he dared to suggest in a New York Times article that American politicians"muzzled themselves" when it came to talking about Israel. He also said there was "no serious political debate among Democrats or Republicans about our policy towards Israelis and Palestinians."

The Economist, Europe's largest financial magazine, recently stated that it was time for America to have an open debate about its role in the Middle east and if AIPAC was to remain "such a mighty force" in American politics it had to play a positive role in that debate. Predictably, The Economist came in for a torrent of criticism.

And, finally, the prominent liberal news web site Salon.com joined the fray by recently carrying an article by Gary Kamiya who said it was time for American Jews to say to AIPAC: "Not in my name!" He argued that American Jews had to seriously challenge the myth that AIPAC's policies reflect the views of the wider Jewish community.

The developing debate about AIPAC, which is being described in some circles as "near nuclear," because of vehement reactions from the Jewish lobby, may well have its roots in an event last year. In March 2006, two political scientists, John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago and Stephen Walt of Harvard, were viciously attacked in Jewish outlets for a document they published, showing that Israeli influence pushed America into the Invasion of Iraq in 2003 and America's unquestioning support for Israel was not strategic. Furthermore, Mearsheimer and Walt wrote that U.S. acquiescence to Israel serves to increase the threat of terrorism to the United States. The Mearsheimer-Walt thesis also exposed the brutality of Israeli military policies and questioned the myth that Israel was David fighting Goliath. The academics thought the opposite was true and Israel was the Goliath in the Middle east. Those assertions placed the two academics in the center of a firestorm of criticism and charges they were anti-Semites. Many fellow academics who agreed with them were mush to frightened to come out publicly and say so.

As this latest debate involving Soros rages, AIPAC knows it has unquestioning support in the corridors of power in Washington and within the media. In 1997 when Fortune magazine polled members of Congress about the most powerful lobbying organizations in Washington, AIPAC came in second. Since then little has changed.

Navy Captain Says He Was Ordered To Cover Up Attack on the U.S.S. Liberty

Capt. Ward Boston Wants Truth Told About Israeli Atrocity

By Mark Glenn

"Son, I spent 2 years as a special agent in the FBI and over 30 years in the military, and if it is one thing I learned through all of this, it's that when you get an order, you say ‘yes sir' and carry it out with no questions asked." this was the response given by Capt. Ward boston, USN (ret.), to the reporter in a series of interviews he recently gave to AFP.

Boston played what will one day be recognized as one of the most pivotal roles in modern history. Some 40 years ago this upcoming June, Boston was the senior legal coundel for the Naval Board of Inquiry concerning the June 8, 1967, attack on the USS Liberty by Israeli air and naval forces that resulted in 34 Americans killed and 171 wounded. His job in 1967 was to be part of a hastily called investigation into the attack, and - as he recently revealed to the shock of many - to rule that Israel's 90-minute bloodfest waged against America's young men was all an "accident" that occurred during "the fog of war," all the evidence to the contrary be darned.

In 2002, Boston broke his silence of four decades and released an affidavit to the public in which he admitted that the intire investigation was a sham, and that he was under orders from persons of no less authority than President Lyndon Johnson and Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara to rule that one of the bloodiest days in American aval history since WWII took place as a result of "mistaken identity" and that America's "ally," Israel, was innocent of any wrongdoing.

For nearly 40 years Ward lived with the bitter knowledge that his fellow servicemen had been deliberately murdered in what was an act of war by a foreign power. Yet because of the orders he received, he was powerless to say anything.

A conflux of events, however, led him to make the decision to let the chips fall where they may.

"I'm an old man" he told AFP. "They can't threaten my job, and if they throw me into jail, so what? The truth has to be told for the benefit of the survivors and for the American people, whose sons and daughters are dying today."

The first of these events leading him to break his silence was the 2002 release of a book entitled The Liberty Incident written by Judge Ahron Jay Cristol at a time when America was being drawn into a series of long-term military engagements with countries that just so happened to be enemies of Israel. Through his book and subsequent speaking tour, Cristol, a shameless apologist for the Jewish state who is on more-than-friendly terms with a number of people in both the military and arms industry in Israel, did the usual song and dance when it comes to discussing the terrorist state that attacked America in 1967. He argued for unconditional acquittal, using a collage of sloppy yet deliberate misrepresentations and omissions of fact. In boston's words, it was Cristol's "insidious attempt to whitewash the event that pushed me to speak out."

"These rats," he said, referring to Israel and its defenders. "They lie about everything. You can't believe a word they say," he told AFP. What was so important about this statement was that Boston was not just talking about the past, but about the present and future as well.

"They've completely infested the entire intelligence and defense apparatus of the United states," he said. "Perle, Feith, Wolfowitz, and all the rest of them - they're spies for Israel, every damned one of them. Just consider the five guys who were arrested after 9-11, cheering and celebrating, and then afterward we come to find out that they were Mossad, and then they get sent back to Israel. They knew all about it and yet our government, the government I worked for most of my life, did nothing about it. Can you imagine if these guys were Arabs?

"It;'s been the same thing, ever since 1967," he added with unmistakable aggravation. "Protect Israel, protect Israel. In the meantime, our boys are dying over there, and those who don't die are coming back here with all sorts of problems, both physical and psychological." It was his visit to Israel some years back that clinched it for this man in terms of his feeling for Israel.

"The way they treat the Arabs - it's unconscionable," he said. "You go into Israel, into the only places where they allow the tourists, and it's the picture of paradise, just as the Soviets used to do. Then you take a detour off the approved itinerary and you see what it is really like: the poverty, misery, abuse. Arab kids being gunned down in broad daylight. It's worse than South Africa. Only a person with ice water in his veins could see the way the Arabs are treated and not be outraged."

As far as the future goes, boston is not hopeful.

"If either Israelis or the U.S. launch a war against Iran, it will be the beginning of the end," he said. "Armageddon. You'll have Muslims pouring into the area from all over the world, and no armywill be able to stop them. They will tear Israel and the Americans to pieces."

As far as his reaction to the predictable accusations of "anti-Semitism" that have been leveled against him for telling the truth concerning the attack on the Liberty, he laughs it off. "One of my closest friends growing up was Jewish," he said. "I don't have a prejudiced bone in my body. What we are dealing with here is an act of war initiated against the United States, the country I swore an oath to defend, period. If a proper investigation into the attack on the Liberty had been allowed to take place, and the American people made aware of what happened, we would not be in the middle of this mess in the Middle East now."

Look for more Boston and many others of the survivors of the USS Liberty in the coming months as AFP marks the 40th anniversary of the attack.

The Next 100 Million

Can America Survive The ‘Human Tsunami' Headed Straight for Our Nation?

By Frosty Wooldridge

According to the mainstream media, the United states surpassed 300 million people in October 2006. The current demographic predictions, based on accelerating growth levels, show America adding 100 million people by 2040. For those asleep at the wheel - that's 33 years from now - a blink in time.

To put this unprecedented growth in perspective: It is much like the earthquakes that occurred beneath southeast Asia in 2004, in which a wave of energy sped through the ocean for hours and hundreds of miles without notice. Once it hit the shoreling in Sri Lanka, it created cataclysmic devastation and tens of thousands of deaths. Why? No one suspected it, and no one took action to save themselves.

The Senate in May 2006 passed comprehensive immigration reform (S. 2611) that doubled current immigration levels from 1 million to 2 million annually. It increased work visas by tens of thousands. It continued allowance for millions in chain migration. It allowed millions more in anchor babies. The Senate bill did nothing to stop illegal immigration estimated by some to be as high as 3 million people crossing into America Illegally every year. It did not stop the 50,000 annual diversity visas that allow that many people to come to America from the poorest countries in the world. It added more visas that allow more foreigners to gain jobs and produce anchor babies in America that assure they never return to their home countries.

What does that mean to american citizens? What about our overloaded cities? Overwhelmed schools? How about our water, farmland, energy, air quality, food sources, species habitat and dozens of other issues?

The first question we must all ask ourselves is: Can anyone name a single advantage to adding 100 million people to America in 33 years? What will it do to our society? Do we want to grow to 1 billion people? If not, at what point do we stabilize growth?

In 1900, the world population reached 1.6 billion. Today, it exceeds 6.4 billion. By mid century, it's expected to grow to somewhere between 9 billion and 9.8 billion, according to the Population Reference Bureau, a non-profit organization that provides information on U.S. and international population trends and their implications.

Already, according to published reports, 8 million people starve to death annually. Over 35% of humanity does ot have clean drinking water. Species extinction exceeds thousands every year. What is it that we hope to accomplish by adding another 3 billion people to the planet with the consequences already raining down on us with current population levels?

For those who can remember, in 1964, America housed 194 million people. Gas prices remained steady at 29 cents a gallon. Candy bars sold for five cents along with ice cream ones. A pack of Cancer sticks cost 20 cents. Movies cost 50 cents. An estimated 95% of kids arrived at school from a two-parent home. Few herd of gridlock, air pollution or road rage. Today, gas exceeds $3 a gallon, and ice cream cone tops $2, cigarettes run $3.80 a pack and movies exceed $8 a ticket. A bag of popcorn cots $5. What's changed? Much has changed, but the short answer can besummed up by supply and demand due to population.

STEALTH IMMIGRATION

In 1965, Sen. Teddy Kennedy (D-Mass.) Authored the stealth Immigration reform Act that changed 50 years of a steady influx of immigrants from 175,000 annually to a gargantuan 1.1 million people per year. Along with illegal immigration, the United States grew by 106 million people in 41 years.

Here are a few things yo can expect in your state as population rises all over this country.

In the next 50 year, you can expect 1 million to as many as 3 million more people added to your state depending on location. Once their numbers manifest, they won't go away. Why? Because, at the same time, that 100 million spreads to other states. Texas adds 12 million by 2025, Arizona adds 5 million and California adds 20 million by 2035.

Today, states like colorado, New Mexico, arizona and California don't posses enough water for their residents. Aquifers degrade as fast as diesel engines pump them dry. No matter how many reservoirs they build, it won't rain or snow more because they add millions of people. Water shrotages and rationing will become the morm while green lawns become as extinct as five-cent candy bars.

At the same time, states like Colorado lost 1.65 million acres of prime farmland to development in the past 10 years. Why? They added 1.3 million people. They will add 4 million more by 2050. Latest reports show Colorado will lose 3.1 million more acres by 2022. An additional 2 million more acres will be placed under concrete and asphalt via roads, malls and housing. What will be the acreage losses in your state? Your losses will be commensurate to your population growth.

While we exceed the land's carrying capacity, we pack ourselves in like sardines with smart growth, slow growth and managed growth. That adds cars, trucks, homes, power plants, malls and smokestacks. Have you noticed traffic in your city? Have you seen the brown cloud thicken in toxicity over your area? How about the bumper-to-bumper traffic?

Can you imagine what it will be with an added 100 million people in 33 years?

By that time, gas or other alternative fuels will cost $8 to $10 per gallon and water prices will break your wallet. Your food costs will likely triple. The cost of goods and services will increase beyond predictions.

How about your quality of life? Standard of living? Crowding of national parks? Lakes? Streams? How about soil erosion?

We paint ourselves into a corner. We're driving this population train into a dead-end tunnel. When will local and national leaders stand up and speak out? When will newspapers, TV and radio talk shows deal with our number one crisis: overpopulation?

What can you do to change America for the better?

Check out the web site, populationmedia.org for an exciting method for creating overpopulation awareness in Third World countries. Their prime directive works with the media in order to educate and activate leaders and women worldwide.

Congress Is Playing Politics with War

Democrats blow it on veterans care, pork barrel spending, war funding while special interests make sure Congress can't stop Iran attack.

Last week the House passed an emergency supplemental spending bill that was the worst of all worlds. The president's request would have already set a spending record but the Democratic leadership packed on an additional $21 billion of mostly pork barrel spending in an attempt to win democrat votes. The total burden on the American taxpayer for this bill alone will be an astonishing $124 billion. Democrats promised to opposethe war by adding more money to fight the war than even the president requested.

I am pleased to have joined with the majority of my Republican colleagues to oppose this bill.

Among the pork added to attract votes was more than $200 million to the dairy industry, $74 million for peanut farmers, and $25 million for spinach farmers. Also, the bill included more than $2 billion in unconstitutional foreign aid, including half a billion dollars for Lebanon and Eastern Europe.

What might be most disturbing, however, is the treatment of veterans in the bill. Playing politics with the funding of critical veterans medical and other assistance by adding it onto a controversial bill to attract votes strikes me as highly inappropriate. Veterans funding should be included in a properly structured comprehensive appropriations bill. Better still, veterans spending should be automatically funded and not subject to yearly politicking and nit-picking.

While I have been opposed to the war in Iraq from the beginning and do believe that there is a strong constitutional role for Congress when it comes to war, I could not support what appeared to be micro-management of the war in this bill. There is a distinction between the legitimate oversight role of Congress and attempts to meddle in the details of how the war is to be fought. The withdrawal and readiness benchmarks in this bill are in my view inappropriate. That is why the president has threatened to veto the bill.

In the last Congress, I co-sponsored legislation urging the president to come up with a plan to conclude our military activity in Iraq, but that legislation contained no date-specific deadlines to complete withdrawal.

Once again Congress wants to have it both ways. Back in 2002, congress passed the authorization for the president to attack Iraq if and when he saw fit. By ignoring the Constitution, which clearly requires a declaration of war, Congress could wash its hands of responsibility after the war began going badly by citing the ambiguity of its authorization. This time, House leaders want to appear to be opposing the War by including problematic benchmarks, but they include language to allow the president to waive these if he sees fit.

To top it off, House leadership may have actually made war with Iran more likely. The bill originally contained language making it clear that the president would need congressional authorization before attacking Iran - as the Constitution requires. But this language was dropped after special interests demanded its removal. This move can reasonably be interpreted as de facto congressional authority for an attack on Iran. Let's hope that does not happen.

Landmark Immigration Case

Pa. Mayor's ‘Clean-Up' Plan for City In Limbo Pending Judicial Review

By Mark Anderson

The embattled city of Hazleton, Pa., is now barred from enforcing its Illegal Immigration Relief Act (IIRA) until a federal judge makes a ruling based on a trial that concluded March 22.

The trial was sparked by an American Civil Liberties Union lawsuit against the city's ordinance, in which the ACLU took its notorious angle of aiding and abetting those who break or do an end-run around what many American citizens consider to be reasonable laws that have a sound purpose.

Intrepid Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta championed the IIRA ordinance package to regulate those who rent housing and apartments to, and those who employ, illegal aliens. His goal, for various reasons, is to get a handle on how many illegals have blended into the city, with special attention given to serious crimes in which illegals are prime suspects.

He spent considerable time testifying last month at the trial before U.S. District Judge James Munley, who is expected to take up to two months, or perhaps longer, to determine whether Hazleton's ordinance is constitutional.

The ACLU and other pro-open-borders groups argued that the IIRA is unconstitutional. However, Barletta staunchly maintains that localities such as Hazleton have little choice but to enact certain limited measures to take up the slack, since the federal government is failing to consistently and effectively protect the nation's borders.

Barletta's efforts garnered national media attention and inspired dozens of other cities and towns across the nation to enact similar measures, in both border and non-border states.

Barletta, whose ordinance package was passed by the City Council in the summer of 2006 and went into force soon thereafter, included a provision for would-be renters to register with the city so landlords can monitor their identity and citizenship, regardless of their ethnic background. Moreover, English was established as the official language for city business, including the city government's public documents and informational literature.

Hazleton, a town of some 33,000 people in northeastern Pennsylvania, in recent years had a population of about 22,000 but saw a major increase due largely to an influx of Latinos. Barletta attributed at least part of this influx to a population shift from nearby New York City just after the Sept. 11 attacks.

Barletta supports a Latino business district in Hazleton, where the business operators are all U.S. citizens. Despite the above-noted hike in population, Hazleton's tax on wages has remained flat Barletta believes "this is just one indication that many newcomers are in Hazleton illegally, working off the books for unscrupulous employers," the March 25 Pittsburgh Post-Gazette noted, paraphrasing Barletta.

TWO BIG CRIMES

"The case is very convoluted, and these are very important issues," the judge was quoted as saying by local media, after testimony concluded. But, as AFP has reported, Barletta thinks the case centers around right and wrong and extends into matters of national security and the well-being of Hazleton. He told AFP that the federal government needs to seriously protect the nation's north and south borders, airports and seaports.

He contends that people in the country illegally are eroding the quality of life in Hazleton by overcrowding local schools, medical facilities and other institutions, while subjecting local citizens to more crime. Illegal aliens in Hazleton are suspects in the fatal shooting of a man on a street and the rape of a 6-year-old girl, both of which took place in 2006.

DONORS HELP BARLETTA

Notably, due in part to a recent AFP report on Barletta that gave the address of his legal defense fund, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported:

"A man with one leg arrived . . . from Philadelphia. He made his way to city hall and donated $40 to Hazleton's government, which is in the thick of a lawsuit over its attempts to evict illegal immigrants. His was one of hundreds of modest contributions that poured in during the week, mostly from people who had never heard of Hazleton until it was sued by civil rights groups that oppose its immigration reform ordinances."

That address, once again, is:

City of Hazleton Legal Defense Fund, c/o Mayor Lou Barletta, City Hall, 40 N. Church St., Hazleton, Pa. 18201.

Domestic Hate Group Strikes Again?

Temple of Anti-Zionist Rabbi Weiss Torched; JDL Arsonists Suspected of Terrorist Act

By Mark Glenn

Neturei Karta (NK), a group of orthodox Jews well-known to readers of American Free Press for their staunch opposition to the state of Israel and Zionism, suffered the loss of its Monsey, N.Y., synagogue March 31 to a fire that has been ruled "suspicious" by authorities.

In addition to the synagogue, the residence of an NK member who occupied the top floor of the building was destroyed as well. The building was empty and as a result no one was injured.

The reason the fire has been ruled suspicious by the authorities is due to the group's outspoken political positions that have attracted world-wide attention in recent years, and particularly after the recent Holocaust conference in Iran attended by members of NK.

Since the time of that conference, organized Jewish groups—including the dangerous and fanatical Jewish Defense League (JDL), which is listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government, and the Jewish Defense Organization (JDO) have mounted campaigns to destroy the NK group.

According to the East Coast-based JDO, the members of Neturei Karta are "crackpots" and "traitors" to the Jews for "helping Iranian Hitler-imitator Ahmadinejad" who is "planning to wipe Israel off the map with nuclear weapons."

In a recent JDO "Intelligence Report," the names, addresses, phone numbers and other pieces of personal information concerning many NK members were published along with "suggestions" by the JDO headquarters as to what actions should be taken with them.

Code-named ‘"Operation Screwball," the JDO has made it clear that their aim is to "wreck & ruin these self-haters and Jewish traitors." Some of the mechanics involved in seeing this done are as follows:

Call them. . . . Keep them out of your shuls . . . . Do not hire them to do any work, toss them out of any store they come to. . . . Throw them out of your synagogues, boycott whatever companies they own, and ask any store they work at to have them fired from their jobs. Let's teach these traitors a real lesson about those who desecrate the memory of 6 million real live Jews butchered in the Holocaust! We must run Neturei Karta out of their homes as well! The days of their antics going undisturbed have come to an abrupt end, as the JDO is going to cause them more disturbance than they ever imagined. Further, we demand the arrest of Neturei Karta members for collaboration with the Iranian Nazis and their extradition to Israel using the Eichmann trial as a precedent. . . .

It should be remembered that—in addition to threats, whether overt or subtle—arson has been standard operating procedure for groups such as these in terrorizing their political opponents into silence. As of the time of this writing, however, no group or individual has come forward claiming responsibility for this latest incident.

If this latest case involving the fire that destroyed the NK synagogue is indeed one of arson, then it would not be the first time that NK property was assaulted. In July 2002, the same building, as well as two cars, owned by the organization were defaced with graffiti on the Jewish festival of Tisha B'Av, the day commemorating the destruction of the first temple in Jerusalem. In this case the graffiti in question included Stars of David and Hebrew words glorifying Jerusalem as the Jewish state's eternal capital.

More recent than this was the physical assault on Moshe Arye Freedman of NK by two Orthodox Jews in Poland, one Yehuda Meshi-Zahav of ZAKA (a Jewish organization that coordinates relief efforts in the wake of terrorist incidents where the victims are Jewish) and another unnamed member, who assailed Freedman with a barrage of punches and kicks.

As a reward for his actions, Meshi-Zahav was called up to read the Torah in synagogue on the following Sabbath. Rabbi Dovid Israel Weiss, spokesman for NK, said that arson "is assumed" because of previous threats the group has received.

"There's no question that the issue is to stifle the opposition to Zionism," he said.

NK is well-known for its position on Israel, Zionism and the other items swirling around the current Middle East situation. Their position is that Israel is not supposed to be re-constituted as a nation until the Messiah arrives, up until which time Jews are supposed to remain loyal citizens of the nations they presently occupy.

Since Zionism's inception a century ago, there has been a continual and sometimes heated debate between groups who maintain positions similar to NK and those Jews who take a more secular position. One thing is clear: If this latest incident is indeed a case of arson, then what it constitutes is terrorism as the term is defined by that Zionist-engineered assault on the Bill of Rights known as the Patriot Act.

Furthermore, by looking over the rantings and ravings of Jewish extremist groups such as the JDL and JDO concerning those who choose to exercise their First Amendment rights by voicing their opinions, it is obvious that the U.S. government is wise to classify these organizations as dangerous and fanatical, and the American citizen, jealous of his God-given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness would be wise to see them in this light as well.

Lawmakers Mum on Tax Hike

Did Taxpayers Pay for Trip to Secret Meeting in Brussels?

By James P. Tucker Jr.

Congressmen who attended the Trilateral Commission's meeting in Brussels on March 23 refused to comment on the proposal to increase your gas taxes by $1 a gallon or whether they traveled at taxpayers' expense.

The questions were posed by AFP to all three lawmakers who attended the gathering: Sen. John Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.) and Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) And Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.). Their offices all sounded surprised and disturbed by the questions and the request for comment on the TC meeting, but promised to ask their bosses and call back.

Each office was given a telephone number and email address for a response. None responded.

The question of whether the lawmakers paid their own travel costs was for the record. It has been established, for many years, that when federal officials or congressmen attend TC meetings or those of the brother group, Bilderberg, taxpayers pay their travel costs and they don't fly coach. TC and Bilderberg pay the lavish costs of lodging and meals.

Such secretive meetings of federal officials and private citizens - even when they are high officials of other governments, international financiers and owners in international corporations are illegal under federal law. This was dramatically demonstrated when federal Judge Royce Lamberth fined the Clinton White House and harshly denounced Hillary Clinton's health care taskforce for holding closed meetings with private-sector "experts." Thus, the lawmakers and federal bureaucrats who attended were using taxpayer money to break the law.

The issue of imposing a $1 increase on the federal gasoline tax leaves legislators gun shy. Voters are unlikely to greet such a plan enthusiastically at a time of record-high fuel costs. Consumers can expect help from the private sector.

Economists say that, on average, 20% of the cost of anything you buy - from a necktie to a house - can be attributed to the cost of transportation - from the long trip from raw material to finished product to the marketplace.

When John Deutch, former CIA director and former deputy defense secretary, called for the $1 tax increase, he played the "blame America" game, which is popular in the TC-Bilderberg cabal and soundly applauded by Amerian members. Americans are causing too much pollution, he said, while Europeans happily pay $5 to $6 a gallon for fuel, making small cars and bicycles popular.

While such a big increase may seem a political stretch, when the Trilaterals called for a gas tax increase to be imposed on Americans years ago, The Washington Post endorsed itin an editorial the day after the meeting ended. Donald Graham the newspaper's chief executive, has attended all TC and bilderberg meetings, like his mother and father before him.

In another development, Zbigniew Brzezinski, who was national security adviser to President Jimmy Carter, was questioned sharply by Europeans about comments that seem to suggest the United States may invent a reason to attack Iran. Most European members, who championed earlier wars, were opposed to the attack on Iraq and a future attack on Iran

"A plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran" could result from "some provocation in Iraq or a terrorist act in the U.S. blamed on Iran, culminating in a ‘defensive' U.S. military action agaist Iran that plunges a lonely America into a spreading and deepening quagmire eventually ranging across Iraq, Irn, Afghanistan and Pakistan," Brzezinski told the senate foreign Relations committee on Feb. 1.

Europeans pressed Brzezinski: Does this mean the United States will stage an incident as an excuse to invade Iran?

His responses were non-committal.

Tancredo Will Make Illegal Immigration A Campaign Focus

By James P. Tucker Jr.

Rep. Tom Tancredo's (R-Colo.) Official announcement that he is running for president guarantees that the issue of illegal immigration will be forced into debate during the 2008 presidential campaign. All other candidates, excepting rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.) Would like to see the issue papered over, and they all favor some degree of amnesty, which they call "comprehensive reform."

In formally announcing his candidacy on Iowa radio stations April 2, Tancredo said he was running to win but to also force other candidates to address the immigration issue. He made the same case when he announced his exploratory committee. AFP first reported on Tancredo's presidential run in the Feb. 5 edition.

Tancredo has been the most outspoken voice in Congress in calling for stopping illegal immigration and supporting border protection legislation without rewarding criminals with a "path to citizenship" and other amnesty measures.

"As I've said before, there are two kinds of people who run for public office: The ones who want to be something and the ones who want to do something," he said. "I'm going to do something about this issue, immigration and immigration reform. It's as serious as the battles we're fighting overseas. The battles of immigration are a battle to define America."

Tancredo's exploratory committee, Tancredo for a secure America, has raised about $1.4 million so far, including tens of thousands of small contributions.

His choice of radio station WHO-AM in Des Moines to first announce his formal entry into the campaign is significant. The station has a 50,000-watt reach across Iowa, home of the early Republican caucuses. It is also the station where young Ronald reagan got his start in broadcasting in the Depression era by re-creating the play-by-play report on Chicago cubs games while reading the sports ticker.

US Truckers Circle the Wagons

Grassroots Activists Are Joining Truckers Who Want U.S. Sovereignty Protected

By Mark Anderson

The National Grassroots Demonstration (NGD) against the Mexican truck invasion is continuing, as concerned labor union members, truckers, farmers and other citizens visit, call and fax U.S. congressmen and senators to try to
overcome the powerful financial interests who seek the importation of cheap labor in ever-greater quantities, including Mexican truckers.

Such truckers, whose driving records are not as transparent as the records of American truckers, constitute a double-whammy against the U.S. economy. They combine the importation of cheap labor (the driver) and foreign-made merchandise (his cargo) in one shot. Not to mention lingering questions on whether the drivers' rigs are safe and whether their personal backgrounds and habits comport with safe operation of heavy trucks.

While this month's NGD, on April 23 and 24, called on Americans to contact their elected representatives heavily those two days, the idea is for concerned Americans to initiate or continue such communication for at least a few weeks beyond those dates into May, in a determined effort to stall or thwart the Mexican truck onslaught.

TRUCKER'S BLOCKADE

However, the NGD—which took place most recently in March, calling attention to the Mexican truck issue then as well as now—is being supplemented by a nationwide protest by truckers, taking place April 23-25. As American Free Press went to press, American truckers, incensed over the proposal to allow Mexican truckers to enter the U.S., planned to drive their rigs around most or all state capitols and in Washington D.C., according to Mark Dankof, who hosts "Mark Dankof's America," a radio talk show on the Republic Broadcasting Network.

Those involved in this "Circle-the-Wagons Blockade Against Anarchy," as explained on a number of web sites, proclaim that allowing Mexican-domiciled trucks into the United States creates a host of serious problems.

Concerned American truckers say many Mexican truckers likely will not have collision or liability insurance, while driving unsafe trucks with bald tires and other substandard, unsafe equipment. American truckers also say that some Mexican truckers drive drunk and should be subjected to criminal background checks, and that they should be required to abide by weight and load restrictions.

A major concern is that American motorists and their passengers will be endangered. Furthermore, American trucking companies, large and small, could lose a considerable amount of work to cheap labor.

Abner Deatherage, the retired U.S. agricultural foreign service worker who helped organize the NGD, told AFP last month that hearings started March 8 on Capitol Hill, spearheaded by Transportation Subcommittee Chair Sen.
Patty Murray, to examine the Bush administration-backed plan to allow 100 Mexican-domiciled motor carriers to make deliveries and pick ups anywhere throughout the United States. This has weakened a previous measure that limited carriers to the narrow commercial zone near the U.S.-Mexican border, where the procedure always has been to allow Mexican truckers to enter the nation only a short distance and transfer their freight to U.S. truckers.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Mary Peters announced Feb. 22, 2007, that U.S. officials would inspect Mexican motor carriers in Mexico. A significant issue representing a "keep out" sign to Mexican truckers has been who will inspect the trucks and where they will be inspected before they're allowed to enter the United States. The initial timetable for allowing Mexican trucks free and full access to the nation's highways and byways was about two months, starting in late February. But that timetable may have been too optimistic.

Sen. Murray's subcommittee, which operates under the umbrella of the Senate Appropriations Committee, is pursuing legislative measures, trying to force federal transportation officials to take a harder look at the Mexican
trucker issue, which could buy time for those opposed to allowing these truckers into the United States full-bore.

Deatherage believes the response to last month's NGD on March 12 and March 13 was considerable. He stressed that those wanting to participate should contact the district offices of their federal representatives before, or instead of, contacting their Washington, D.C., offices. The NGD includes other ongoing issues, such as a proposed trade policy, called "absolute advantage," that is seen as a way to "force Mexico and other Third World underdeveloped countries to develop their economies and substantially improve the general living conditions of their citizens."

This is seen as another way to combat the illegal alien influx by making Mexico a better place to live and work, so there's less incentive to illegally enter the United States in the first place. For now, a growing number of Minutemen border-monitoring groups, including a new one in south Texas, are watching the border and reporting illegal crossings to the Border Patrol.

TO GET INVOLVED . . .

Several contact options exist. Call (800) 450-8293, or 202-224-3121, to reach Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. and ask for the office of any senator or representative by name. From there, you can voice your opinion at the D.C. office(s) of your choice and/or ask for the phone and fax numbers of these elected officials' local offices. Also, those with Internet access can go to house.gov and senate. gov to get contact information.

After the letters ".gov" put a slash and the last name of the senator or representative whose web site you want to visit. For example, Rep. Ron Paul's site is house.gov/paul. The same applies for the other 434 House members and 100 senators. Another option is to call Midwest Concerned Citizens at (785) 838-9708 (leave a message with Jason if no answer) or go to midwestconcernedcitizens.org and click on "public demonstrations" to find out more about getting involved in the NGD.

This web site includes a map of the planned NAFTA superhighway/supertollway system, including the Trans Texas Corridor, on which many Mexican truckers would enter the United States if the TTC, now in its early stages and backed by the Bush administration, isn't stopped.

Top Neo-Con Spied for Israel and Got Away With the Crime

Wolfowitz ‘gal pal' scandal nothing compared to charges of treason.

By Michael Collins Piper

It made the news when World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz was caught arranging a sweet deal for his mistress with world bank funds, but the fact that Wolfowitz was once investigated for spying for a foreign government has kept under wraps by the mass media in America.

Those who make it their business to know about the doings of intriguers such as the big man at the World Bank recognized that Wolfowitz is a traitor who once engaged in espionage on behalf of Israel - and got away with it. However, the much bigger scandal, dating back to 1978, has never been plastered across the front pages of newspapers or slavered over by grinning media personalities.

While the employees of the World Bank are up in arms and have publicly hissed him and called for his ouster, wolfowitz is still hanging on at the World Bank with the support of the Israel-controlled Bush administration.

That many are reveling in the scandal surrounding Wolfowitz is not surprising. Not only is Wolfowitz a "neo-con" (that is, one of the famous neo-conservatives) but he is also, as brash commentator Maureen Dowd has noted, a "con," in the classic sense of the word: a con-man, a crook, evidenced by his influence-peddling on behalf of his mistress. However, in addition, one might suggest, Wolfowitz should also be considered a "con" in another sense of the word: short for "convict" - as in prison convict, which is where Wolfowitz might have ended up if he had been charged with spying for Israel as some federal agents believe he is guilty of having done.

For many years, Wolfowitz has engaged in dubious affairs on behalf onf the interests of Israel. Like many others in his circle of friends and political associates, Wolfowitz - both in private life, as a well-paid academic between stints in government, and in government, most lately as number two man in the Defense Department under the unlamented Donald Rumsfeld -was a key player at the highest level in a relentless, well-funded and carefully orchestrated campaign of lies and disinformation - acting in concert with Israeli intelligence and the Israeli lobby in America - to embroil the United States in the war against Iraq. Many call Wolfowitz a "war criminal." At the very least, he's a liar.

But Wolfowitz, as we've seen, can also be pondered as a possible traitor - if then-ranking people in our FBI and the Justice department were to be believed.

Back in 1978, Wolfowitz was under investigation, as an official of the U.S. Arms control & Disarmament Agency, for having passed a classified U.S. document to an Israeli government official.

The purloined material related to the proposed sale of U.S. weapons to an Arab government, something always of concern to fanatic Israeli loyalists like wolfowitz, who, although American born, has always placed Israel's needs first and foremost in his policy making ventures.

Wolfowitz utilized the good offices of an operative of the pro-Israel lobby, the American Israel Public Affairs committee, as the intermediary in handing over the stolen document to Wolfowitz's friends in Israel (where, by the way, his sister lives).

It is this same AIPAC that, even now, is in the midst of a nasty spy scandal relating, once again, to the illegal acquisition of classified U.S. defense information. Two former top AIPAC officials will soon stand trial in federal court for their pro-Israel misdeeds.

In any event, although wolfowitz was never prosecuted for espionage, that doesn't mean that there wasn't evidence to indict him.

Several long-time close Wolfowitz associates (all now-infamous "neo-conservative" armchair intriguers for Israel) - ranging from Richard Perle to Stephen Bryen to Michael Ledeen to Douglas Feith, who served as Wolfowitz's deputy in the defense department - have all been under FBI scrutiny at one time or another on suspicion of espionage on behalf of Israel.

It often surprises many Americans, who hear in the media that Israel is such a great ally of the United states, to learn that there are good patriotic Americans in the FBI who don't like the idea of American public officials, like the aforementioned neo-conservatives, passing classified defense meterial to this dubious ally.

None of these neo-cons was ever indicted. However, in the case of Bryen, one dedicated federal prosecutor (who happened to be Jewish) pushed hard to indict Bryen, only to have the Israeli lobby put pressure on the Reagan administration to force the Justice department (ruled by a series of notably corrupt and Israeli-influenced attorneys general during the Reagan years) to abandon the Bryen investigation.

Forget about Wolfowitz and his mistress. Don't forget about Wolfowitz and his spying for Israel.

Utah Congressman Helps Stop Bomb Test

By Mark Anderson

A massive non-nuclear weapons test that was to take place at the U.S. government's Nevada testing range has been canceled. Amid unconfirmed reports that the bomb test "had Iran's name on it," Rep. Jim Matheson (D-Utah) announced in February that he was instrumental in stopping the test, the so-called "Divine Strake" experiment, which called for detonating a 700-ton explosives pile.

"I have stood in the way of this test from day one," Matheson announced in a news release from his South Salt Lake district office. "From the time last spring when I first learned about the ....experiment, I have opposed it on both its purpose and its potential ill effects. The prospect of even a non-nuclear mushroom cloud over the Nevada test site brings back bitter memories of how the government lied when it said there was no danger."

At a site where huge above-ground and underground nuclear bombs have been tested since the 1950s - with nuclear fallout descending on populated areas, at least in the early days - the concern mow is that there is radioactivity in the soil that would be blown into the air by even non-nuclear tests, especially one as large as Divine Strake.

Alyson Heyrend, Matheson's spokeswoman, told American Free Press that U.S. officials behind the experiment "admitted that the stuff could be blown up into the atmosphere; they estimated the plume would go many thousands of feet up into the air."

She added that the agencies involved - the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and the National Nuclear Security Administration - are regarded as having "a terrible track record" about risks involved with bomb testing. The former agency operates under the Department of Defense; the latter, under the Department of Energy.

Ms. Heyrend told AFP that the test - comprised of 700 tons of ammonium nitrate and fuel oil - was for "data validation for deepunderground targets, such as those suspected to exist in North Korea. However, when asked if Iran is on the target list, too, she could not provide a definitive answer.

Other opponents of Divine Strake have included Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah, Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Rep. Shelley Berkeley (D-Nev.).

Matheson reportedly worked hard to shelf the test, starting with March 2005 legislation, H.R. 1194, "to prohibit the U.S. from resuming any nuclear weapons testing unless authorized by Congress." His measure would also have mandated a detailed environmental impact statement prior to any test, advance public notice of testing and a public meeting afterward to go over test results. He also took into account potentially hazardous non-nuclear testing.

While Matheson did say that hi's OK with DTRA spending time and money "developing a conventional weapon that would actually be useful to our military in destroying deeply buried terrorist targets," the congressman seems to grasp the important idea that there has to be public oversight of the military - that the United States should not be an imperialist, military state.

Meanwhile, the United States, while expressing "grave concern" over Iran's potential of becoming a nuclear power, sends billions of dollars in foreign aid to Israel, which is an established nuclear power, and appears to be conflicted over whether China is a military adversary or a major trading partner and an "ally" in the "war on terror." China is not only a nuclear power, but it had the capability to target U.S. cities.

Anti-Depressants Integrally Tied to Many Acts of Murder, Violence

By Ralph Forbes

the establishment media wants to blame guns for the tragedy at Virginia Tech, but guns are not to blame. According to published reports, cho Seung-Hui, the 23-year-old Korean immigrant who massacred 32 people, was either taling antidepressant medications - or worse, had suddenly withdrawn. These drugs, know as SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), supposedly help maintain serotonin ( a brain chemical) levels, but the reality is SSRIs have a terrible record of creating mass-murdering monsters.

Investigators believe Cho had been taking medication for depression. When his psychiatric drug use is confirmed, it will bring the total psychiatric drug-induced school shootings to 61 Americans killed and 77 wounded.

School shootings were rare before the drug companies started raking in $200 million plus each day "medicating" Americans, young adults and even children. Before cho's bloody rampage at least 16 killers of school children used these powerful psychotropic drugs, such as in the columbine High School slaughter in 1999.

Here's the testimony Mark Allen Taylor, who was nearly killed at Columbine High School, delivered to the FDA on June 13, 2004.

I am Mark Allen Taylor and I am a victim of the SSRI antidepressant era. I took thirteen bullets in the Columbine High School shooting when Eric Harris on the SSRI Luvox opened fire that now infamous day...

I went through all this to realize that SSRI antidepressants are dangerous for those who take them and for all those who associate with those who take them.

How are we supposed to feel safe at school, at home, on the street, at church or anywhere else if we cannot trust the FDA to do what we are paying FDA officials to do? Where were you when my classmates and I wer shot at Columbine? We should consider antidepressants to be accomplices to murder.

Mark wrote a book about this major problem in America, titled I Asked, God answered - A Columbine Miracle.

Seven years before Cho's massacre some 44,000 adverse reports wre filed with the FDA against Prozac, alone, one of the first and mildest SSRIs. Out of those reports there are about 2,500 deaths with the large majority of them linked to suicide or violence.

Already in 1993, 28,623 reports of adverse reactions to Prozac, the Eli Lilly SSRI, approved for the market since 1988, had been received by the FDA. These included effects such as delirium, hallucinations, convulsions, violent hostility, aggression, psychosis, 1,885 suiide attempts and 1,734 deaths - 1,089 by suicide.

One web site, ssristories.com, collected over 1,500 stories, which only represent the tip of an iceberg since most stories do not make it into the media. There are 24 school shootings/incidents, 44 road rage tragedies, over 370 murders, over 100 murder-suicides and other acts of violence included on the site.

Said Candace B. Pert, research professor at Georgetown University Medical Center Washington:

"I am alarmed at the monster that Johns Hopkins neuroscientist Solomon Snyder and I created when we discovered thesimple binding assay for drug receptors 25 years ago. Prozac and other antidepressant serotonin-receptor-active copounds may also cause cardiovascular problems in some susceptible people after long-term use, which has become common practice despite the lack of safety studies. The public is being misinformed about the precision of these selective serotonin-uptake inhibitors when the medical profession oversimplifies their action in the brain and ignores the body as if it exists merely to carry the head around! In short, these molecules of emotion regulate every aspect of our physiology. A new paradigm has evolved with implications that lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise can offer profound, safe and natural mood elevation.

Besides criminal insanity, other side effects reported y Prozac users include heart attack, impotence, hair loss, cataracts, kidney disorders, hepatitis, arthritis, breast cysts, breast pain, convulsions, coma, migraine headache, bronchitis, pneumonia, deafness, duodenal ulcer, stomach ulcer, gallstones, pelvic pain, inability to control bowel movements, urinary tract disorders, eye bleeding, spitting blood and vomiting blood.

Pert, co-creator of the first SSRI molecules, as with so many other doctors and scientists, believes that natural methods, including adequate nutrition, are much more effective and certainly not dangerous.

One of Prozac's major critics is Peter R. Breggin, M.D. He has written many anti-Prozac books, such as Talking Back to Prozac. He calims the company "knew from early on, and suppressed, that Prozac has a dangerous stimulant effect similar to the amphetamines and cocaine, including the production of agitation, anxiety, nervousness, hyperactivity, insomnia, nightmares, and weight loss. Prozac can cause mania, paranoia and violence, as well as crashing with depression and suicide."

He also claims, "Prozac is so stimulating that many patients require simultaneous treatment with sedatives, such as Klonopin or Xanax. This exposes them to the additional risks of addiction, behavior abnormalities, and mental dysfunction from these sedative tranquilizers."

He says that, "in controlled studies for the FDA, Prozac's beneficial effect was commonly no better than a sugar pill (or placebo)." He claims that in a clinical trial, 6% of the kids on Prozac turned psychotic.

How many more massacres will we have to endure while the FDA promotes dangerous drugs while trying to deny us our right to natural and effective products?

FDA Wants Natural Medicine Dead

When it comes to health freedom, this is the FDA's end game. A new FDA "guidance" Document, published on the FDA's web site, reveals plans to reclassify vitamins, supplements, herbs and even vegetable juices as FDA-regulated drugs. Massage oils and massage rocks will be classified as medical devices" and require FDA approval. The document is called "Docket No. 2006D-0480. Draft Guidance for Industry on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Products and Their Regulation by the Food and Drug Administration."

The FDA is accepting public comments on the docket until April 30. They tried to sneak this under the radar, but word got out and now the natural health community is up in arms over this rule. If you wish to protect your access to nutritional supplements, herbs, essential oils, homeopathic medicine or any other "complementary" or Alternative" modality, it is crucial that you take action to post your comments with the FDA right now and write your representatives in Washington to put a stop to this outrageous effort to destroy natural medicine. And be sure to really write them. Just sending an email has no impact compared to writing a physical letter in your own words.

This move by the FDA is designed to once and for all destroy the 1994 Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act that has made supplements "legal" while eliminating nutritional supplements and natural medicine from the United States, ensuring monopoly profits and control by drug companies and the FDA. Itis the latest action item by the FDA and Big Pharma conspiracy that will not stop until health freedom for Americans has been abolished.

Under these proposed guidelines, FDA "experts" (the same corrupt officials who reapproved Vioxx after it killed over 50,000 Americans) will decide whether herbs, supplements, vitamins or simple devices like massage stones are to be regulated as drugs and medical devices. If the FDA experts, in their infinite wisdom, decide that these things are to be reclassified, they will essentially be outlawed, stripped from the shelves, and regulated out of existence. Anyone who dares to manufacture, promote or sell such products may be branded a criminal and rounded up by armed FDA agents who have a sell established history of suppressing natural medicine.

Take special care to notice the following text, taken directly from the FDA's own document: "A product used in a CAM [complementary and Alternative medicine] therapy or practice may be subject to regulation as a biological product, cosmetic, drug, device or food (including food additives and dietary supplements) under the act or the PHS [Public Health Service] Act. Second, neither the act nor the PHS Act exempts CAM products from regulation."

In other words, anything used in any system of medicine may now be regulated as a drug or medical device by the FDA. This includes a biofeedback machine, acupuncture needles, a cup f herbal tea, message oil, a glass of vegetable juice or even a bottle of water.

The document continues: "If a person decides to produce and sell raw vegetable juice for use in juice therapy to promote optimal health...and if the juice therapy is intended for use as part of a disease treatment regimen instead of for general wellness, the vegetable juice would also be subject to regulation as a drug under the act."

The proposed measure also states: " ‘Biologically based practices' includes, but is not limited to, botanicals, animal-derived extracts, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, amino acids, proteins, prebiotics and probiotics; whole diets, and ‘functional foods' ....a botanical product intended for use in treating a disease would generally be regulated as a drug....functional foods may be subject to FDA regulation as foods, dietary supplements, or drugs under the act."

This translates to mean that all foods, supplements, "superfoods" and functional foods may be reclassified as drugs by the FDA, then regulated off the market.

Itis very clear that the FDA is intending to regulate and ultimately destroy the entire complementary and alternative medicine industry.

Experts say the following things are likely to occur:

• All vitamins, nutritional supplements and functional foods will be stripped of their structure and function claims, reducing them to empty labels.
• Vegetable juice will be regulated as a drug. Raw juice retreats will be raided or shut down.
• growing and selling common garden herbs will get you arrested as a drug dealer.
• Massage oils and handheld massagers will be regulated as "medical devices."
• Yoga props and weight machines will be regulated.
• Bottled water that "treats" dehydration will be regulated as a drug.
• Massage therapists who use hot rocks as part of their therapy will have the rocks regulated as medical devices! It's true.
• Functional foods, supplements, vitamins and homeopathic remedies will disappear from store shelve, pending FDA "review."
• Vitamin store owners will be arrested and prosecuted for "practicing medicine without a license."
• Citizens owning personal inventories of "unapproved drugs" (vitamins and herbs) may have their homes raided.
• The importation of herbs and functional foods from all countries may be banned.
Keep in mind that the FDA is the same agency that:
• Wants to label irradiated foods as "pasteurized."
• voted to put the deadly drug Vioxx back on the market after tens of thousands of deaths, even after its own manufacturer pulled it from pharmacies.
• Raided a church at gunpoint, confiscating biofeedback machines and charging that they were "practicing medicine" by counseling church members on issues like depression.
• Openly allows corrupt, "on-the-take" experts to vote on new drug approvals, even when those experts are obviously in a conflict of interest.
• Refuses to legalize stevia, the safe, natural herbal sweetener that's used virtually everywhere else in the world. The agenda? Protect the profits of aspartame and other chemical sweeteners.
• Openly allows the mass poisoning of the public with cancer-causing food additives such as sodium nitrite.
• Refuses to enforce its own laws regarding unsafe chemical toxins in personal care products.
• Does everything in its power to protect drug company profits, including discrediting herbs, supplements and alternative medicine.
• Write your senators and congressmen about this issue and let them know that youwill not stand by and allow the criminals running medicine today to take away your access to vitamins, supplements, herbs and homeopathic medicine.

Whole-Grain Cereal Cuts Heart Attacks

By David Gutierrez

According to a 25-year study of the health and eating habits of more than 10,000 doctors, those who ate whole-grain cereals for breakfast had a significantly lower chance of developing heart failure than those who did not eat such cereals.

The Physician's Health Study collected data from participants by means of detailed annual questionnaires. It found that those who ate whole-grain breakfast cereals seven or more times a week had a 28% lower chance of developing heart failure.

Those who ate such cereals between tow and six times a week had a 22% lower chance of heart failure, and those who ate them up to one a week had a 14% lower chance.

Previous research has shown that eating whole-grain cereals in the morning can lower cholesterol, reduce blood pressure and improve concentration. These health effects are attributed to the cereals' high content of fiber and complex carbohydrates.

A "whole-grain" cereal was defined as one containing at least 25% oat or bran. The study was funded by the National Cancer institute and the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.

"The study shows that even in a population with overall healthy behavior, it is possible to see less heart failure in those who eat a whole grain cereal breakfast." said Luc Djoussé, the lead researcher. "The benefits are not just for kids but also for adults. A whole-grain, high-fiber breakfast may lower blood pressure and bad cholesterol and prevent heart attacks."

A Grain of Truth and Good Health

Whole Grains Lauded; White Flours, Devitalized Foods Blamed

By Sally Fallon

The science of nutrition seems to take a step backwards for every two steps it takes forward. When the study of vitamins was in its infancy, researchers realized that white flour lacked the nutrients that nature put into whole grains. One of these researchers was Dr. Weston Price who noted in his studies of isolated, so-called "primitive" peoples that when white flour and other devitalized foods were introduced into these communities, rampant tooth decay and disease of every sort soon followed. But defenders of the refining process argued that phosphorus in whole grains was "too acid" and was the true cause of bone loss and tooth decay. Warnings against the use of white flour went largely ignored.

Only in recent decades has Price been vindicated. Even orthodox nutritionists now recognize that white flour is an empty food, supplying calories for energy but none of the bodybuilding materials that abound in the germ and the bran of whole grains. However, a diet high in whole grains can cause serious digestive problems and also the mental disorders associated with celiac disease, a digestive disease that damages the small intestine and interferes with the absorption of nutrients.

One school of thought claims that both refined and whole grains should be avoided, arguing that they were absent from the Paleolithic diet and citing the obvious association of grains with celiac disease the studies linking grain consumption with heart disease.

But many healthy societies consume products made from grains should be avoided arguing that they were absent from the Paleolithic diet and citing the obvious association of grains with celiac disease and studies linking grain consumption with heart disease.

But many healthy societies consume products made from grains. In fact, it can be argued that the cultivation of grains made civilization possible and opened the door for mankind to live long and comfortable lives. Problems occur when we are cruel to our grains - when we fractionate them into fran, germ and naked starch; when we mill them at high temperatures; when we extrude them to make crucchy breakfast cereals; and when we consume them without careful preparation.

Grains require careful preparation because they contain a number of antinutrients that can cause serious health problems. The modern misguided practice of consuming large amounts of unprocessed bran often improves colon transit time at first but may lead to irritable bowel syndrome and, in the long term, may other adverse effects.

Other antinutrients in whole grains include enzyme inhibitors which can inhibit digestion and put stress on the pancreas; irritating tannins; complex sugars which the body cannot break down; and gluten and related hard-to-digest proteins which may cause allergies, digestive disorders and even mental illness.

Most of these antinutrients are part of the seed's system of preservation - they prevent sprouting until the conditions are right. Plants need moisture, warmth, time ans slight acidity in order to sprout. Proper preparation of grains is a kind and gentle process that imitates the process that occurs in nature. It involves soaking for a period in warm, acidualted water in the preparation of porridge, or long. Slow sourdough fermentation in the making of bread. Such processes neutralize phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors. Vitamin content increases, particularly B vitamins. Tannins, complex sugars, gluten and other difficult-to-digest substances are partially broken down into simpler components that are more readily available for absorption.

Animals that nourish themselves primarily on grain and other plant matter have as many as four stomachs. Their intestines are longer, as is the entire digestion transit time. Man, on the other hand, has but one stomach and a much shorter intestine compared to herbivorous animals. These features of his anatomy allow him to pass animal products before they putrefy in the gut but make him less well adapted to a diet high in grains - unless, of course, he prepares them properly. When grains are properly prepared through soaking, sprouting or sour leavening, the friendly bacteria of the microscopic world do some of our digesting for us in a container, just as these same lactobacilli do their work in the first and second stomachs of the herbivores.

While our ancestors ate whole grains, they did nt consume them as presented in our modern cookbooks in the form of quick-rise breads, granolas, ran preparations and other hastily prepared casseroles and concoctions.

Bread can be the staff f life, but modern technology has turned our bread - even our whole grain bread into a poison. Grains are laced with pesticides during the growing season and in storage; they are milled at high temperatures so that their fatty acids turn rancid. Rancidity increases when milled flours are stored for long periods of time the bran and germ are often removed and old separately, when Mother Nature intended that they be eaten together with the carbohydrate portion; they're baked as quick-rise breads so that antinutrients remain; synthetic vitamins and an unabsorbable from of iron added to white flour can cause numerous imbalances etc.

Be kind to your grains, and your grains will deliver their promise as the staff of life. But only organic whole grains and soak them overnight to make porridge or casseroles, or gind them into flour with a home grinder and make your own sourdough bread and baked goods. For those who lack the time for bread making, kindly made whole grain breads are now available. Look for organic, stone ground, sprouted or sourdough whole grain breads and enjoy them with butter or cheese.

Diet and Immunity Integrally Linked

By Jack Phillips

There's an old adage that says, "the way to a man's heart is through his stomack." Well now it appears the saying may be more correct than previously thught. In fact, the way to a person's overall health may very well be through his stomach. Beginning as early as infancy, new research shows that babies given breast milk in the early stages of development form a healthy digestive system, which ultimately leads to a stronger pathogen-fighting immune system.

According to dr. Konrad werthmann, who wrote The Four Steps of Isopathic Therapy and has spent many years practicing gastroenterolgy and pediatrics in Europe, the first nine months of life are critically important for the human child. During this time the foundation for good health or chronic diseases are put in place. They reside in what is called the gut. This consists of the lining of the intestinal wall, called the mucosa, lymph nodes called Peyer's patches and, ultimately, billions of bacteria which protect the mucosa against hostile bacteria and parasites and also help digest food.

Paracelsus averred that "death comes from the bowels." Werthmann concurs with Claude Bernard, the eminent French physiologist, and Antoine Bechamp the French discoverer of pleomorphism, that the internal physical environment of our bodies, the milieu, is excessively important. The gut contains about 80% of our immune system defenses. A poorly functioning gut causes a chronic degenerative disease or cancer faster than smoking can in his opinion.

He notes that about 85% of babies are breast-fed for only three to four months at the present time. Them they are usually given cow's milk or soy-based formula. This he says, adversely alters their internal milieu and results in chronic complaints in later life.

Cow's milk products and other foreign proteins cause allergic reactions in the gut which partially or totally destroy the lining of the intestinal tract and damage the bacterial defenses opening the way for invasion by unfriendly bacteria. At the same time germs migrate from the large intestine into the duodenum with an immediate alteration of immune activity. The lymph vessels and nodes swell. Less immunoglobulin A is produced and this facilitates penetration of the intestinal wall by bacteria and food particles. The immediate result is colds, earaches, diarrhea, constipation and even leaky gut syndrome. Later degenerative diseases can be forthcoming.

The longer an infant is exclusively breast-fed, i.e., is given no solid food, animal milk, eggs or fruit drinks, the healthier it will be. It has been found that, in the case of atopic children, even the tiny amounts of allergens in their mother's milk will cause irritation.

Forced Vaccinations for Kids in Florida Are Being Opposed

By Jacquelyn Horkan

A bill in florida to require all 11- and 12-year-old public and private school students to receive a new vaccination against the human papillomavirus is running into early opposition. HPV is a sexually transmitted virus that causes an estimated 70% of all cases of cervical cancer. A new drug, Gardasil, is the only product on the market that claims to protect against HPV.

Florida law requires that children receive vaccinations for several communicable diseases, including poliomyelitis, diphtheria, pertussis and mumps, before they can begin school. Opponents of the HPV vaccination mandate cite several differences between the HPV vaccine and those given to prevent communicable diseases.

"Unlike the other vaccine programs, which are designed to prevent communicable diseases spread through casual contact, the HPV vaccine helps prevent a disease that is spread through the decision of two individuals to engage in sex," said Michael Sheedy, associate director for health at the Florida Catholic conference. "Since HPV is not spread through casual contact, there is no justification for mandating immunization for school entry."

Critics of the proposal to mandate the vaccination say doctors and researchers do ot know the long-term side effects of the drug. "There is some need for further study of the vaccine and its efficacy," said Sheedy. "It has not been tested on boys and the Florida legislation does not limit the mandate to girls."

Florida is one of about 20 states contemplating enactment of a mandate for the HPV vaccine. Texas was the first state to put such a mandate in place, through the excutive order of Gov. Rick Perry. According to the associated Press, texas lawmakers are considering legislation to repeal Perry's executive order.

The bishops of Texas are among those pushing for the repeal. "Although the National Catholic Bioethics Center considers HPV vaccine to be morally acceptable, it has also recommended that civil authorities should leave this decision to parents and not to make such immunization mandatory at this time," the bishops wrote in a statement released by the Texas Catholic Conference.

The message from Catholics was clear: the state must reiterate the message that abstaining from sexual relations until marriageisthe expected standard for school-age children.

EDITOR'S NOTE: In early April, Florida's House and senate approved legislation that reqires schools to give parents information about the link between HPV and cervical cancer. An original roposal would have mandated that girls get the HPV vaccine whether their parents object or not. However, legislators toned down the bill after protests by parental rights organization.

Banned Cancer Cure Lives On

By Jack Phillips

In March 2007 this writer visited the Centro de Biomedico high on a hill overlooking the city of Tijuana, Mexico. Here in a palatial home, originally built by a drug lord and later confiscated by the authorities, a small group of dedicated people keep Harry Hoxsey's treatment for cancer alive and functioning. Picture windows, flanking a fireplace, provide a panoramic view of the city to patients in its waiting room.

Attracting a clientele from as far away as Australia and Europe via word of mouth advertising, its thre physicians, supported by technicians, manage to provide efficient. Low cost service to patients. According to Hoxsey's book You Don't Have to Die, the price of Hoxsey's lifetime therapy was $300 in the 1920s. It rose to $400 at his clinic in Texas where, for 20 years, cancer patients were successfully treated. Bout 80% of them, with intact immune systems, were made cancer free.

Hoxsey's treatment consists of a paste of herbs and minerals that is applied externally. A different liquid mixture of herbs and minerals is consumed in conjunction with this. A mixture of vitamins and herbs is sometimes also prescribed depending on the therapy.

An act of the Texas legislature, preventing physicians, however, put his clinic out of business and ended its availability in the United States.

Now there is a maximum charge of $3,500 for lifetime care in Mexico. However, the treatment has always been provided free of charge, for indigent patients who could not afford to pay.

Evaluations, X-rays and laboratory studies are extra, but inexpensive. The total cost of my physical exam, including four X-rays, chemical and microscopic examination of blood and urine plus medication for precancerous lesions, came to $394. Amazingly the process started at 9 a.m. and was completed about 2 p.m. with an explanation of the findings and a diagnosis.

Most patients stay in San Diego and travel back and forth by bus from a few motels, which provide this free service. But Centro de Biomedico patients, if they need continuing special care at the facility, find nearby living space in hotels or nursing homes.

Tijuana can be dangerous. Its police chief was recently murdered on the side of a main thoroughfare. I saw sandbagged emplacements protecting police armed with rifles close to the spot where he had died.

There are several hotels in Tijuana as well as several hospitals. I visited three hospitals and observed clean, light and airy rooms. In one of them the estimated charges for proposed services for a cancer patient amounted to about $23,000.

Specialists there noted that it is taking longer to cure cancers with this treatment than it used to. There is evidence that our immune systems have been deteriorating. Presumably changes in our food supply have caused some of this deterioration. Undoubtedly the many sources of pollution also contributed.

It is gratifying to know that a cancer treatment with an 80-year history of effectiveness is as close as Mexico. It is unfortunate that such an effective and inexpensive treatment is not included in the standards of care in the United States. It is also sad that the American Medical Association, which controls medical education, does not permit our medical schools to teach this therapy to their students.

Of course, this is nothing new. A 1953 report in the Congressional Record by Benedict Fitzgerald, special council to the Committee on Interstate and Foreign commerce, indicated that Hoxsey's treatment was excellent for treating cancer. However, for some reason, the surgeon general and the National cancer Institute still refused congressional requests to evaluate it. Fitzgerald concluded that "a conspiracy exists to stop the free flow and use of drugs in interstate commerce." His report was never acted on and has been buried for a long time. Now is the time for it to be exhumed, updated and used to decrease healthcare costs by potentially increasing competition.
