On March 21, after months of wrangling, the House finally passed the healthcare "reform" bill by a slim margin of 219 to 212. As one commentator noted, at the end of the day this bill was more about showing who wields power in Washington than it was a battle over fixing systemic problems plaguing medicine in the United States.
Independent liberals and conservatives, who are not beholden to either Democrats or Republicans, saw the bill for what it truly is: A welfare check for private health insurance companies that does nothing to curb out-of-control costs or the high price of medicine that is strangling individuals and businesses alike.
On the eve of the bill's passage one independent news web site called Firedoglake posted key facts gleaned from establishment and government sources that show why the bill would actually hurt middle-class Americans.
In actuality, the bill does not do what its advocates have promised. While it forces everyone—including those who are already struggling financially—to purchase private health plans or face fines administered by IRS revenuers, health insurance companies will not be barred from raising premiums. And, while it establishes an "insurance exchange" that is supposedly intended to give citizens the ability to shop around for cheaper insurance, it does not stop the industry from price-fixing or engaging in other trust-like behavior.
Finally, it does not allow citizens to save money by purchasing cheaper drugs from countries like Canada that regulate prices.
It is estimated the measure will insure 30 million Americans who previously had no health insurance.
But this will come at a steep cost to middle-class taxpayers and other healthy Americans, who will see their premiums go up to cover the new costs to private insurers for those people.
Barack Obama has promised that by 2016 the bill will reduce premiums by $2,500. However, an analysis by a watchdog group found that annual insurance premiums in all markets across the board will either remain the same in the next six years or will go up.
Working-class families are already struggling to pay the bills. Medical costs remain the leading cause of bankruptcies in America. Now, a family of four that makes $66,000 a year will have to pay a private insurance firm over $5,000—nearly 10 percent of their gross income—annually for private health insurance, not including deductibles and co-pays, which will likely increase, too.
Also, businesses are expected to take a hit with an excise tax to pay for the program. Of course, companies will pass on the extra expense to their employees by having them pay more for their insurance.
Finally, insurance companies will be forced to cover people with pre-existing conditions like cancer. But, according to reports, it is expected that healthy employees will be forced to pay more to cover the rising cost of insuring everyone.
As if this is not bad enough, private health insurance companies will now be responsible for policing themselves and processing complaints. And they will remain exempt from antitrust laws designed to prevent the type of price controls made famous in the days of the robber barons.
The vote itself was split almost entirely down party lines, with all 178 House Republicans voting against the measure. Thirty-four conservative Democrats also voted against the bill. Their names are published in the chart below.

A leading precious metals watchdog group says it has compelling proof the prices of gold and silver have been manipulated for years by Wall Street firms, and it is demanding government regulators take action.
The Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee (GATA) was formed in January 1999 to expose and oppose the manipulation and suppression of the price of gold. Its frustrated efforts to expose manipulation in the gold market parallel Harry Markopolos's seven-year quest to expose the Madoff ponzi scheme to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
What it has learned over the past 11 years is of great importance to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC) forthcoming hearings regarding position limits in the precious metals futures market.
GATA's chairman, William Murphy III, says, "GATA has evidence there are enormous physical short positions in the gold and silver markets that cannot be covered."
In a letter to CFTC Chairman Gary Gensler, a former partner at Goldman Sachs who once supported market deregulation now blamed for the recent financial meltdown, Murphy charged that GATA has collected reams of evidence "that Western central bank gold has long been mobilized and surreptitiously dishoarded to rig the gold market and influence related markets, and that this rigging has drawn upon the U.S. gold reserves."
He urged the CFTC to report on these markets and take appropriate action.
The CFTC is meeting as this newspaper goes to press on March 25 to establish position limits in the gold, silver and other precious metals markets. However, it could be none other than the CFTC's core banks and Gensler's former Goldman bosses that form the very core of the biggest market manipulation collusion syndicate in the history of the commodity markets.
Murphy wrote to Gensler on March 8: "Because of the decades-long interference with the gold market, we estimate the free-market price of gold is multiples of the current price. Growing stress caused by burgeoning physical bullion demand is threatening to lead to a price explosion, which will restore to the market the balance that regulation has failed to maintain. In our view, the Comex [New York Commodities Exchange] paper market will become dysfunctional, with ‘force majeure' having to be declared as the concentrated shorts are unable to deliver on their obligations."
If GATA indeed has the evidence of massive physical positions impossible to cover, and should this evidence be made public, the repercussions for the price of gold and silver will be unprecedented.
Dedicated AFP readers will remember it was GATA that two years ago spent $265,000 for a full-page, onetime advertisement in The Wall Street Journal asking in broad headlines: "Anybody Seen Our Gold?" GATA's ad warned, "This manipulation has been a primary cause of the catastrophic excesses in the markets that . . . threaten the . . . world."
What GATA had warned against has come to pass, and its investigation has not ceased.
In pursuit of Obama's "transparency in the federal government," GATA has made Freedom of Information Act requests to the Federal Reserve and Treasury Department for a candid accounting of their involvement in the gold market, particularly in regard to gold swaps.
In a reply to GATA's lawyers dated Sept. 17, 2009, Fed Governor Kevin M. Warsh acknowledged that the Federal Reserve has gold swap agreements with foreign banks but insisted that such documents remain secret. As a result, last December, GATA sued the Federal Reserve in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, seeking access to the Fed's withheld records of gold swaps.
In his lengthy letter, Murphy told Gensler, "Initially we thought the manipulation of the gold market was undertaken as a coordinated profit scheme by certain bullion banks, like JPMorgan, Chase Bank and Goldman Sachs, and that it violated federal and state anti-trust laws. But we soon discerned that the bullion banks were working closely with the U.S. Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve in a gold cartel, part of a broad scheme of manipulation of the currency, precious metals and bond markets."
GATA has long implicated the Comex as being a mechanism by which gold and silver price suppression is implemented, and the smoking gun is the excessive concentration of bullion bank positions in the gold and silver futures markets that enables market manipulation.
The CFTC's own reports of November 2009 show that just two U.S. banks held 43 percent of the commercial net short position in gold and 68 percent of the commercial net short position in silver. In gold, these two banks were short 123,331 contracts but long only 523 contracts, and in silver they were short 41,318 and long only 1,426.
Murphy asks, "How improbable is it that these two banks attract most of the investors who want only to sell short?" He went on to point out that GATA knew that the two banks that hold these large manipulative short positions, JPMorgan Chase and HSBC, held more than 95 percent of the gold and precious metals derivatives of all U.S. banks, with a combined notional value of $120 billion.
This concentration dwarfs the concentration in the gold and silver futures markets and should raise great concern about the lack of position limits on the Comex. Giving CFTC one more hurdle before closing, Murphy wrote, "It is also disturbing to us that HSBC is the custodian for the major gold exchange-traded fund, GLD, and that JPMorgan Chase is the custodian for the major silver exchange-traded fund, SLV. It is a significant material omission to fail to disclose to GLD and SLV investors that the custodian banks of the two exchange-traded funds have an interest in falling prices in the futures and derivatives markets."
He pointed out that detailed daily monitoring of gold trading reveals the pattern that the gold price consistently falls in the darkness of early dawn New York time when the gold cartel's traders report to work in London, and again following the evening gold price fix, when physical market pricing has concluded for the day, and in the access market following the Comex close.

While the American people are kept in the dark like mushrooms and fed bull manure, Scotland's award-winning newspaper The Sunday Herald Scotland ran an exclusive revealing that hundreds of tons of powerful U.S. "bunker-buster" bombs and other weapons are secretly being shipped from California to the British island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean—strategically placed for missions to Iran—in preparation for an impending attack on the Persian nation.
The Sunday Herald expos? revealed that "the U.S. government signed a contract in January to transport 10 ammunition containers to the island. According to a cargo manifest from the Navy, this included 387 ‘Blu' bombs, used for blasting hardened or underground structures."
Superior Maritime Services of Florida has a $699,500 contract to ship many thousands of military items from Concord, Calif., to Diego Garcia. The cargo includes 195 1,000-lb Blu-110 bombs and 192 massive 2,000-lb Blu-117 bombs.
"They are gearing up totally for the destruction of Iran. . . . U.S. bombers are ready today to destroy 10,000 targets in Iran in a few hours," said Dan Plesch, director of the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy at the University of London, co-author of a recent study on U.S. preparations for an attack on Iran.
Ian Davis, director of the new independent think-tank, Nato Watch, warned the shipment to Diego Garcia is a major concern.
"We would urge the U.S. to clarify its intentions for these weapons, and the UK Foreign Office to clarify its attitude to the use of Diego Garcia for an attack on Iran," he said.
For Alan Mackinnon, chair of Scottish Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, the revelation was "extremely worrying." He stated: "It is clear that the U.S. government continues to beat the drums of war over Iran, most recently in the statements of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. . . . It is depressingly similar to the rhetoric we heard prior to the war in Iraq in 2003."
The utter insanity of war against Iran would—at best—be the worst disaster to ever strike the United States. At a bare minimum it would kill the economy of the United States and the world. It could trigger the demise of the United States, or even destroy the Earth.
And yet the madmen who misrule Israel, and their Israel-first minions high up in the U.S. government, are working feverishly to start this unnecessary, unjust war.

In a pathetic display of pandering to a foreign power, members of Congress reportedly flooded the White House with angry letters and phone calls following the White House's recent criticism of Israel's unbridled settlement building.
The remarks came after Vice President Joe Biden was embarrassed during an official visit to Israel to discuss prospects for renewing peace talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
Biden's plane had barely touched down in Tel Aviv when the Israelis announced plans to build 1,600 new homes in East Jerusalem. It is part of an Israeli effort to colonize East Jerusalem and drive out Palestinians so Israelis can claim the entire city as their new capital.
In a letter dated March 17, 10 members of Congress whined to the president: "Remarks made by your Cabinet and advisors embolden Israel's enemies—who are wholly committed to destroying the Jewish state—and undermine the critical relationship we have with our strongest ally for democracy and peace in the Middle East."
In a separate statement, Sen. Sam Brownback (RKan.), a Christian Zionist, told the White House: "Rather than launching verbal attacks on our staunch ally and friend, it would be far more worthwhile for this administration to expend the effort planning for the transfer of our embassy to Jerusalem and tackling the growing Iranian nuclear threat."
And it wasn't just Republicans who were reciting the Middle East script dictated by AIPAC. Some Democrats lashed out at the president, too.
"No doubt the administration's overwrought rhetoric is designed to try to appease Palestinian politicians and convince them the U.S. is an honest partner in the peace process by seizing every available opportunity to criticize the actions of our ally Israel," wrote Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-Nev.).

The constitutional requirement for the census is found in Article 1, Section 2, Paragraph 3: "The actual Enumeration shall be made within three years after the first meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent term of ten years, in such manner as they shall by law direct.
The purpose of the census is that of counting the U.S. Population in order t apportion among the states the number of representatives in the U.S. House of Representatives. That's it. Nothing more. Nothing less.
There is nothing in the Constitution requiring or even suggesting questions regarding race, ethnicity, whether one owns or rents his or her home, income status, disability status, education or anything of the sort. The only purpose of the census is to count the U.S. population. Anything beyond that is nothing more than an intrusive government prying and snooping into our lives: something the federal government is doing with greater and greater frequency and intensity these days.
As to the phrase, "As they shall by law direct," Paul Galvin rightly notes, :This language merely goes to the mechanics of the counting (who will do it, when it is to be done; how, when results are to be reported and so forth); it does not enlarge what may be counted. Constitutionally the only permitted enumeration is the number of people in the state. Why? Because that count is the determinant for apportionment and therefore the only pertinent information needed.
In the original census of 1790, The information requested was simply the number of persons in each household and the name of the head of each family. That's it. Accordingly, when I filled out my census form earlier this week, the only information I provided was my name (as the head of my family) and the number of people living in my home. The rest of it I left blank.
Furthermore, the idea that the information gathered about us via the unconstitutional and invasive census form will not be shared with anyone is so ludicrous it is laughable. The federal government passes around virtually everything it learns about us to any number of departments and agencies. Does anyone really believe that all the information obtained with this unconstitutional census form will be locked away in a vault somewhere, never to be used or shared? What a crock. Why, the federal government cannot even ensure that its won employees will abide by its own rules.
Consider the new full-body scanners that are being installed in airports all around the country. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) assures passengers that the photos of their naked bodies are not pornographic and will not be stored or shared. Of Course, we can trust the federal government to tell us the truth, right?
First are the images pornographic? You be the judge. A recent story posted on the Internet includes actual images of naked bodies taken with an airport full-body scanner. If anyone is offended at what he sees, remember that this is potentially what TSA agents will be looking at every time you, your wife, your sone, your daughter or your father and mother board a commercial jetliner.
So, will someone please tell me how the scanned images taken of the naked bodies of children by these airport full-body scanner do not constitute child pornography? Good grief. Some parents have been arrested for "possessing child porn" for something as innocent as taking photos of their small children in a bathtub. Yet, TSA agents will be photographing nude images of children all day long in a private video booth at an airport check-in, and not only will they not be arrested that will get paid for it.
Beyond that, there are already documented cases where airport screeners have stored and shared the naked images of people. According to published reports, "Claims on behalf of authorities that naked body scanner images are immediately destroyed after passengers pass through new X-ray back-scatter devices have been proven fraudulent after it was revealed that naked images of Indian film star Shahrukh Khan were printed out and circulated by airport staff at Heathrow in London."
Would you trust your neighbor - or your friends at church or work - with photos of your naked body or the naked bodies of your wife and children? Then, why would you trust an employee of the federal government? And why would you trust federal bureaucrats at the Census Bureau to keep private any and all information you give them via the census form?
But whether you care or don't care that the federal government sticks its nose into your private affairs - or that its employees gawk at your naked images - is really beside the point. The fact is, it is totally unconstitutional for the federal for the federal government to behave in such a manner, and those citizens who do not object to this unconstitutional conduct are facilitating the demise of their own liberties. They should be ashamed of themselves.
By the way, would a census worker come to my home and demand that I answer the questions I left blank, I will simply plead my 5th Amendment-Miranda rights to "remain silent." What are they going to say to that?
As for me and my house, along with the form completed as stated above, I put this note in the census envelope (This was forwarded to me by an unknown source. I would give them credit, if I knew who it was):
Article I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution gives congress the right to enumerate the number of citizens in order to apportion members of congress: "The actual enumeration shall be made within Three years after the first meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent term of ten years, in such manner as they shall by law direct."
Enumerate means "to count, or determine the number of." Congress can count the number of citizens - but it can't demand to know what race we are, how much we earn, how many beg screen TVs we own etc. So when I get the census forms, I fill out the first question (the one asking how many people live at my home), then past a copy of Article 1, Section 2 of the Constitution right below that, along with a statement that I have fulfilled my duty as a citizen by helping them enumerate, and I'm not required to answer any more questions.
Participating in the national census is an honor for every U.S. citizen. Each of us should be thankful for the constitutional republic that was bequeathed to us by our Founding Fathers. Under that Constitution, therefore, I am proud to have my household counted in the U.S. census in order to apportion among the states the number of representatives in the U.S. House of Representatives.
But, as I am expected to live under the laws and duties of
the U.S. Constitution, so is the federal government. Hence, I
answered only those two questions that are constitutionally prescribed
and refused to answer any and all others.

The reason we are not really free in America is because specific barriers to freedom have been erected covering multiple avenues that could be routes through which to escape our debt-based tyranny. But those "doors to freedom" have been blocked. It;s like a prison, except there are no physical walls. Yet, there is a virtual structure nearly as confining as real walls, and the exit routs are barricaded.
These barriers include: rigged ballot-access laws; hackable voting machines that steal elections; campaign finance laws that put corporations on the throne to influence elections and hurt citizen efforts to unseat bad incumbents; courts that deny citizens due process and "legislate" by elevating case law over the Constitution; presidential executive orders that steal the legislative authority of the people's representatives; and the central barrier, the warden of the operation with its debt based monetary system, the Federal reserve central bank. The Fed is the head; the rest are the tentacles of the octopus blocking our escape.
The just-passed so-called national healthcare bill, which calls for some $940 billion in federal outlays over 10 years by a government that is flat broke, as President Obama admitted on camera last year, calls for a massive tax increase on citizens, most of whom also are flat broke. The federal government and nearly all Americans have much more debt that they will ever have in revenue or income to pay their debts.
The healthcare bill's approval is said to be as momentous as the creation of the Social Security System in 1935. That is true, but not in the way media hacks claim. Isn't it clear that those truly being insured are the medical-industrial-banking complex and the government agencies that will administer the "healthcare" system?
Will the government healthcare system truly and affordably insure Americans and genuinely improve their health? Or are Americans - whose tax payments will make sure the big drug companies and other connected interests expand their monopolies - the ones actually underwriting corporate-government power? In other words, who's insuring whom?
While operating in a system in which the very creation of money creates debt, national healthcare, like Social Security, cannot be paid for without generating much more debt. Broke governments don't have free and sovereign money and must borrow from private sources. Therefore, the "line of credit" that the private Federal Reserve gives the U.S. government in exchange for government bonds as evidence of perpetual debt to the central bank must be extended. And starting a national healthcare system during an era of constant U.S. military operations around the globe will extend that credit line into eternity.
Conversely, if the government would free itself from the Federal reserve - and directly create its own money interest-free - then any reasonable national health plan, highway project and countless other endeavors could be paid for with newly minted government funds produced on the basis of real wealth and production, without borrowing at interest from a central bank. This is why the Federal Reserve is the central barrier to freedom: It converts nearly every government endeavor, constitutional or not, into debt and insolvency, while making grassroots reforms incredibly difficult. Election reform, for example, would have dramatic results without a debt-money system, since that money system, with the big media's help, insulates the two "big-box" parties so renegade parties and candidates who want to change the system do not get on the ballot; and if they do, they rarely get elected of stay in office for long.
Meanwhile, American Free Press must circulate in greater numbers into more communities to dislodge yet another barrier to freedom: the corporate media, which misdirects and pacifies Americans with the Democrat-Republican monopoly that just gave us a healthcare plan that not only is unaffordable, but also will only cover conventional medical treatments that are limited to cutting, burning, poisoning and abusing most patients, most of the time. Good alternative treatments that most doctors disregard are not likely to be covered. What's so great about a national health plan that keeps cancer patients stuck in the radiation-surgery-drugs racket?
In light of all of this, the following early-20th century quote attributed to Woodrow Wilson's unelected, intimate personal "advisor," Edward M. House, takes on a whole new meaning. House was a key insider in the passage of the 1913 Federal reserve act:
Soon every American will be required to register their biological property in a national system designed to keep track of the people and that will operate by the ancient system of pledging. By such method we can compel people to submit to our agenda, which will affect our security as a charge-back for our fiat paper currency.
Every American will be forced to register or suffer being unable to work and earn a living, they will be ur chattel, and we will hold their security interest over them forever by operation of the law-merchant under the scheme of secured transactions.
Americans, by unknowingly or unwittingly delivering the bills of lading to us, will be rendered bankrupt and insolvent, forever to remain economic slaves thru taxation, secured by their own pledges. They will be stripped of their rights and given a commercial value designed to make us a profit and they will be none the wiser, for not one man in a million could ever figure out our plans.
And if by accident one or two should figure it out, we have in our arsenal plausible deniability.
After all, this is the only logical way to fund government - by floating liens and debt to the registrants in the form of benefits and privileges. This will inevitably reap to us huge profits beyond our wildest expectations, and leave every American a contributor to this fraud, which we will call social insurance.
Without realizing it every American will insure us for any loss we may incur and in this manner every American will unknowingly be our servant, however begrudgingly. The people will become helpless and without any hope for their redemption, and we will employ the high office of the president of our dummy corporation to foment this plot against America.
As the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) kicked off its annual convention March 22 with half of the U.S. Congress and the secretary of state in attendance, the FBI quietly released hundreds of pages of declassified documents showing that the most powerful lobbying group in Washington has been in the business of stealing U.S. secrets for decades.
While that revelation will come as no surprise to those who have closely observed more recent spying operations by AIPAC, it should nonetheless call into question why this organization still operates openly on Capitol Hill while representing a foreign power, namely Israel.
The new disclosures help highlight the fact that, since 1984, AIPAC has grown more powerful politically and is clearly in a position to shape U.S. Middle East policy. In the past, some of its leaders have boasted that it had the means to affect the appointments of secretaries of state.
The newly declassified FBI files relate to theft of U.S. government documents in 1984, just prior to negotiations over a proposed American-Israel Free Trade Agreement. The documents provided Israel with an outline of the White House negotiating position, thereby giving Israel a decided edge in the final passage of the agreement.
According to IRMEP, the Institute for Research-Middle Eastern Policy, which published the FBI files online, the subsequent 1984 agreement "wrought massive economic harm to American businesses and workers." Another assessment concluded that it was one of the most "unfavorable of all U.S. bi-lateral trade agreements, producing chronic deficits, lack of U.S. market access to Israel and ongoing theft of U.S. intellectual property."
The damage to the American economy happened because AIPAC "spies" linked up with Mossad agents based in the Israeli embassy in Washington. It was a strategy that has been repeated many times since. In 1984, as the FBI quickly discovered, AIPAC members not only passed classified papers to Mossad but also circulated them to members of congress, thereby compromising the White House negotiation position. The result was that U.S. trade barriers were lifted on all the products Israel wished to export to the American market but Israeli barriers were kept in place for many America goods. The result is that ver the years that one-sided agreement led to America having an $80 billion trade deficit with Israel.
Not surprisingly, given AIPAC's influence even in 2984, no one was charged with espionage, or with the theft of the trade agreement documents. Apparently, the Justice Department concluded that espionage statutes were not broken because the material in question was not related to national security issues.
As for the theft, it was not deemed serious enough to merit criminal charges.
As we now know, 1984 was not to be the last time AIPAC would steal U.S. secrets. The most recently publicized example was the 2005 theft of classified Defense Department documents on Iran that found their way via two AIPAC executives to a Mossad agent at the Israeli embassy in Washington. Charges against those executives were eventually dropped.
Grant F. Smith, director of IRMEP, believes the real issue is that, for nearly 50 years, there has been sufficient evidence for defining and regulating AIPAC as the agent of a foreign government. He says the moment Aipac "supplanted" the American Zionist Council (AZC) as the arm of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the United States" it became a foreign agent.
His argument is a simple one and it goes something like this: In 1962, the AZC was ordered by the Justice Department to file as a foreign agent under the 1938 Foreign Agents Registration Act. Seeing the game was up with its American activities, the AZC disbanded and within six weeks morphed into AIPAC.
Smith argues that if AIPAC were forced to register as a foreign agent there would be greater public transparency surrounding its activities. In particular, its financial dealings, including how it spent its money, the identities of its financial backers, the organizations and politicians it lobbied and the nature of the links between its U.S. and Israeli operations, As it stands, AIPAC is operating under the public radar, furthering its professed aim to lobby and influence Congress on all matters related to the way Israel sees the world.
In recent years, it has been particularly busy behind the scenes, shaping American policy on Iran. That effort has included feeding stories into the mainstream media that support Israel's view that tougher sanctions against Iran should be followed by U.S. military action.
For example, the 2005 spying episode, involving AIPAC executives and Col. Larry Franklin, a Defense Department analyst, was centered on classified documents outlining U.S. thinking on Iran. Mossad used those documents to forge a two-tier strategy. One part of it was to use the documents to influence members of Congress, thereby compromising White House thingking on the issue. The second part was the leaking of selected material from the documents to media outlets ro inflame American public thinking against Iran.
In any other nation, that kind of activity by an organization claiming to be a political lobbying body would not be tolerated. But such is the power of AIPAC on capitol Hill, and within some sections of the mainstream media, no one dares speak it name in vain.
At its annual meeting in Washington it commands the presence of more than 120 members of Congress and prominent members of the Executive Branch, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Its power in ensuring Israel gets the financial aid it needs from Congress is self-evident in the billions of taxpayer dollars Israel receives annually and those do not include billions in military aid and other loans that are eventually forgiven.
And while Congress talks about Iran's alleged nuclear weapons ambitions, no mention is made of the fact that Israel is not a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, or that it possesses a massive nuclear arsenal built on the theft of U.S. nuclear secrets and materials.
AIPAC has ensured over decades that, no matter how often Israel steals America's secrets, there shall be no retribution. One example of the way Israel treats espionage toward America is that it encourages AIPAC to continue to lobby Congress for the release of the spy, Jonathan Pollard, as though he were guilty of a minor infraction. The truth is that in 1985 Pollard was found guilty of very serious crimes that included the theft of Amerca's nuclear naval codes, as will as a manual on its global surveillance capabilities.
Israel at first claimed Pollard was part of a rogue operation
and agreed to help FBI investigators if Pollard's associates
were allowed to return to Israel. The FBI agreed but Israel never
kept its part of the bargain. There have been reliable reports
that Israel shared some of the secrets stolen by Pollard with
the Soviets in return for the release of Jews held in Russia.
One of the results of the deal was that the identities of CIA
agents in eastern Europe wer compromised and some were executed.

Following months of heated public debate and aggressive closed-door negotiations, Congress finally cast a historic vote on healthcare. It was truly a sad weekend on the House floor as we witnessed further dismantling of the Constitution, disregard for the will of the people, explosive expansion of the reach of government, unprecedented corporate favoritism and the end of quality healthcare as we know it.
Those in favor of this bill touted their good intentions of ensuring quality healthcare for all Americans, as if those of us against the bill are against good medical care. They cite fanciful statistics of deficit reduction, while simultaneously planning to expand the already struggling medical welfare programs we currently have . They somehow think that healthcare in this country will be improved by swelling our welfare rolls and cutting reimbursement payments to doctors who are already losing money. It is estimated that thousands of doctors will be economically forced out of the profession shold this government fuzzy math actually try to become healthcare reality. No one has thought to ask what good mandatory health insurance will be if people can't find a doctor.
Legislative hopes and dreams don't always stand up well against economic realities.
Frustratingly, this legislation does not deal at all with the real reasons access to healthcare is a struggle for so many - the astronomical costs. If tort reform was seriously discussed, if the massive regulatory burden on healthcare was reduced and reformed, if the free market was allowed to function and apply downward pressure on healthcare costs as it does with everything else, perhaps people wouldn't be so beholden to insurance companies in the first place.
If costs were lowered, more people could simply pay for what they need out of pocket, as they were able to do before government got so involved. Instead, in the name of going after greedy insurance companies, the government will make people even more beholden to them by mandating that everyone buy their product.
Hefty fines are due from anyone found to have committed the heinous crime of not being a customer of a health insurance company. We will need to hire some 16,500 new IRS agents to police compliance with all these new mandates and administer various fines. So in government terms, this is also a jobs bill. Never mind that this program is also likely to cost the private sector some 5 million jobs.
Of course, the most troubling aspect of this bill is that it is so blatantly unconstitutional and contrary to the ideals of liberty. Nowhere in the Constitution is there anything approaching authority for the federal government to do any of this. The founders would have been horrified at the idea of a government forcing citizens to become consumers of a particular product from certain government approved companies.
Some 38 states are said to already be preparing legal and constitutional challenges to this legislation, and if the courts stand by their oaths, they will win, protecting the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Citizens have a responsibility over their own life, but they also have the liberty to choose how they will live and protect their lives. Healthcare choices are a part of liberty, another part that is being stripped away.
Government interference in healthcare has already infringed
on choices available to people, but rather than getting out of
the way, it is entrenching itself, and its corporatist cronies,
even more deeply.

The Bilderberg group will conduct its annual meeting June 3-6 in Sitges, Spain (a small, exclusive resort town about 20 miles from Barcelona) behind a wall of armed guards who will seal off the resort in a futile attempt to keep the event secret.
Bilderberg's meeting will follow that of its brother group, the Trilateral Commission, which will gather at the Four Seasons Resort in Dublin, Ireland May 6-10. Leaders of Bilderberg also attend the Trilateralists' meeting to map their common agenda. About 300 attend Trilateral Commission meetings, which are conducted behind sealed-off, guarded floors of their hotel. About 100 will attend Bilderberg, which seals off the entire resort behind platoons of uniformed police and private security.
Bilderberg hopes to keep the global recession going for at least a year, according to an international financial consultant who deals personally with many of them. This is because, among several reasons, Bilderberg still hopes to create a global "treasury department" under the United Nations. Bilderberg first undertook this mission at its meeting last spring in Greece, but the effort was blocked by nationalists in Europe and the United States. "Nationalists" (a dirty word in Bilderberg) objected to surrendering sovereignty to the UN.
AFP's source pointed to the words of French President Nicolas Sarkozy in a March 29 speech at notoriously left-wing Columbia University, where he said, "We should invent a new global monetary order."
He was clearly referring to the recently proposed world "treasury department."
Bilderberg's ultimate goal remains unchanged: Turn the UN into a world government with "nation-states" becoming merely geographic references. The European Union is to become a single political entity, followed by the "American Union" and, finally, the "Asian-Pacific Union." The "American Union" is to include the entire Western Hemisphere, including Cuba and other offshore islands.
Like the EU, the "AU" will have a legislature, executive commission and head of state which can impose laws on member nations. There is to be an EU-like common currency, removing each member state's symbol of sovereignty. The "Asian-Pacific Union," or "APU," is to follow a similar path.
But growing public awareness of the evil agenda of Bilderberg and the Trilateralists has emerged as a significant barrier. For decades, until 1975 when The Spotlight emerged, the blackout was 100 percent complete worldwide. (The Spotlight is AFP's lineal ancestor.)
Today, in Europe, major metropolitan newspapers and broadcast outlets give both groups heavy, front-page attention. In the United States, independent newspapers and broadcast stations give Bilderberg extensive coverage.
But the major newspapers and network broadcasters maintain a complete blackout in the United States. That's because their executives have attended these meetings on lifetime promises of secrecy. The hypocritical owners of The Washington Post have attended since 1954. The Post's chairman, Donald Graham, and associate editor, Jimmy Lee Hoagland, have attended each meeting for years.
But as public awareness grows, so does patriotic resistance. There is strong resistance throughout Europe to increasing the powers of the EU at the cost of national sovereignty. In the United States, there is growing resistance to the proposed North American Free Trade Agreement, which would eliminate borders between the United States, Mexico and Canada. NAFTA is to expand, under Bilderberg-Trilateral plans, to include the entire hemisphere and evolve into the "American Union."
In the 1990s, Bilderberg was confident that the "American Union" would be established by the year 2000. A decade later, they are still fighting—and losing— the battle.

REP. HENRY CUELLAR (D-TEXAS), whose district sits along the U.S.-Mexico border and who is on the Homeland Security Committee, has set up committee hearings to address the murders and violence on the U.S. border due to powerful Mexican gangs that traffic in drugs and illegal immigrants.
Since Mexican President Felipe Calderon took over in 2006, there have been 18,000 murders as a result of his efforts to fight criminal gangs in Mexico. These include the recent shootings of three people tied to the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juarez, just across the border from Texas in Mexico. In that town alone, some 4,500 Mexicans have been killed, according to recent reports.
Specifically, Cuellar wants to look at new ways for the United States to help stop the smuggling of drugs and illegal immigrants into the country.
So far, Washington has handed out nearly $2 billion in cash and military supplies directly to Mexico in an effort to bolster Mexican law enforcement. The funds and weapons have largely gone to the 45,000 troops Calderon has deployed to take on the drug cartels.
However, these soldiers have done little to stop the increasing numbers of killings that are taking place in Mexico and have been making their way into the United States. In fact, some experts contend that the Mexican law enforcement and military are so corrupt that they have been using U.S. aid to actually help the gangs.
At this time, Cuellar appears to be only intent on handing over more money and guns to Mexico.
"The Mexican drug cartels are not waiting there and saying, ‘OK, law enforcement guys, we're going to wait until the Americans give you this or that, so we can be more fair in our fight,'" Cuellar recently told a Capitol Hill newspaper. "They're not waiting for us."
Currently, the United States has 300,000 troops stationed in foreign countries and 92,000 naval personal on the high seas helping to protect the borders of far-off places like Iraq and Afghanistan. A mere fraction of those troops, stationed along the 1,950-mile border spanning the United States and Mexico would go a long way to stopping the drug cartels from entering the United States. By cutting off the drug trade, the U.S. military would eliminate the money the drug cartels make from sneaking heroin and cocaine into the United States.
So far in Washington, however, putting troops on the border remains off the table. Officials from Arizona, New Mexico and Texas have been begging Washington to send reinforcements to help patrol the border.
Both Republicans and Democrats from those states support positioning troops there. Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D) advocate beefing up National Guard patrols—at a minimum.
Placing troops on the border is the simplest and most effective way to stop the drug cartels and immigrant smugglers from getting into the United States— and would certainly be more effective than flushing more U.S. taxpayer money down the toilet by handing it out to the corrupt Mexican military and police.

International laws are making it increasingly difficult for Israeli diplomats, intelligence officers, generals and even former top military officers to travel the globe without being arrested on international warrants. Judging by the sheer number of outstanding warrants, any Israelis deemed to have committed crimes against Palestinian civilians are now at a higher risk than ever of being seized at airports and handed over to the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
The problem facing Israel has been highlighted by Interpol issuing arrest warrants for 27 Mossad agents directly involved in the recent planning and assassination of a Hamas leader in Dubai. That murder came on the heels of a UN report accusing Israel of war crimes during its siege and invasion of the Gaza Strip, making it even more likely that senior military and political figures involved in that operation could someday be arrested if they visit one of the many nations that are signatories to the international court.
Israel's problem in respect to warrants is compounded by the fact that scores of retired military and intelligence figures earn a big money representing arms dealers and security companies. Others act in an advisory capacity to armies and militia groups worldwide. Those jobs involve considerable travel. Nowadays, with increased security at ports of entry in many nations, it is difficult for anyone to get on a plane, boat or train without leaving a trace of his or her identity.
That level of security poses a risk to all those deemed to have committed crimes against humanity. For wanted Israelis, those crimes include the following: the shelling of civilian areas of Gaza; the bulldozing of Palestinian homes; unlawful arrest, interrogation, detention and torture of suspects; the political and military authorizing of phosphorus munitions against civilian neighborhoods; the wanton use of cluster bombs to contaminate farmland as happened in Lebanon and the destruction of civilian infrastructure in order to punish the population by denying people water, electricity, food, proper medical care and sewerage facilities.
Rights groups and their lawyers say there is more than sufficient evidence to show that Israel has a case to answer for in all those criminal categories.
Hidden in lawyers' desks throughout Europe are large numbers of warrants that have been drawn up at the request of human rights' organizations. The warrants are targeted at a wide range of Israeli figures, including serving and former Cabinet ministers, intelligence chiefs, generals and military officers down to brigade level. The danger for all of those named is that, if it is learned they are visiting relatives or attending conferences outside Israel, the warrants will be dusted off.
Unfortunately, a country where no such warrant can be served is the United States because of political influence over "our" FBI. Nevertheless, Israel is well aware of the risks posed by international warrants. In the past warrants were issued in Colombia for three Israelis alleged to have trained paramilitaries who ran death squads. Colombia accused the three of having been at one time on the payroll of drug lord Pablo Escobar. Those warrants have not yet been served, just like the many warrants issued by the Russian authorities for Russian Jewish billionaires, who used their joint Israeli-Russian citizenship to find sanctuary in Israel after robbing Russia.
It is well known that Israel has an unstated policy of refusing to hand over any of its citizens. That has encouraged Jews from many countries to hide out in Israel when faced with arrest or imprisonment.
An indication of the risks facing Israel is that it almost lost one of its generals, Doron Almog, to a warrant on Sept. 10, 2005. He was on a flight to London's Heathrow Airport when the Israeli embassy in London got a tip-off that lawyers were waiting at the airport to serve him with a warrant from the International Court, alleging he had committed war crimes by bulldozing over 50 homes in Gaza. The embassy was also told that Scotland Yard had officers standing by to arrest him. The moment Almog's plane touched down in London, a diplomat from the embassy went on board and advised him not to leave, saying he had immunity because the plane was deemed to be Israeli territory.
Almog did as he was told and returned to Israel on the same plane less than 24 hours later. Reliable security sources accused the British authorities of tipping off the Israelis to avoid an international incident.
Rights groups and their lawyers angrily pointed out that the plane was not sovereign Israeli territory, and police officers should have taken the general from the plane by force. [No one tried a "planes are sovereign territory" argument when Australian historian Frederick Toeben was arrested at Heathrow en route to Dubai— Ed.] There was such an outcry over the issue that it is believed an arrest will be made should a similar case happen again in London.
In December 2009, an arrest warrant was issued in Britain for Tzipi Livni, who was the Israeli foreign secretary during the war in Lebanon and the invasion of Gaza. On hearing about the warrant, she canceled a planned trip to London.
Weeks earlier, one of the Israeli prime minister's closest advisors also pulled out of a UK trip aimed at fund-raising within the Jewish community.
The most worrying issue for Israel is that the UN report accusing it of war crimes in Gaza has been closely scrutinized by rights groups, who have meticulously drawn up warrants for a long list of Israeli figures.
The Iranians claim to have their own list of over 100 Israelis they say committed war crimes in Gaza. That list is believed to match one in the hands of many rights groups across Europe and in other parts of the world.

While yet another military officer is challenging the legitimacy of Barack Obama's alleged credentials, one of the first to do so sits in a Tennessee jail.
U.S. Army Lt. Col. Terry Lakin is an active-duty military doctor with an outstanding record. He has served 18 years and may be risking his retirement and his life for the cause of truth.
Lakin released this recorded statement for the news media in late March : "For the first time in all my years of service to our great nation, and at great peril to my career and future, I am choosing to disobey what I believe are illegal orders, including an order to deploy to Afghanistan for my second tour of duty there. I will disobey my orders to deploy because I - and I believe all servicemen and women and the American people - deserve the truth about President Obama's constitutional eligibility to the office of the presidency and the commander-in-chief."
Lakin is refusing all orders until Obama finally releases his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate to prove his eligibility to serve as commander in chief. Lakin says, "I feel I have no choice but the distasteful one of inviting my own court martial."
Mch like the others preceding him, he has made the public announcement that "If Obama is ineligible, then my orders - and indeed all orders - are illegal because all orders have their origin with the commander-in-chief, as handed down through the chain of command."
Lakin is the highest-ranking officer to go public over Obama's legitimacy and the first active-duty officer to do so. Late last year, AFP covered others in the military who have challenged the president to no avail.
These included U.S. Navy Lt. Com. Walter Fitzpatrick (ret.) of Tennessee. When Fitzpatrick filed charges in federal court last year, accusing Obama of fraud and treason, he got nowhere. Instead of proceeding in a lawful manner, the U.S. attorney in Knoxville chose to perceive it as a "threat to the president" and reported Fitzpatrick to the Secret Service.
Undaunted, Fitzpatrick began to seek satisfaction at the local grand jury in Monroe County, Tenn., and during his quest for truth discovered corruption among officials throughout the county. The most serious of these illegalities to surface was the fact that in this "good ol' boy" system, Gary D. Pettway had been seated as grand jury foreman for more than 27 years, while Tennessee law requires a maximum of two years in the position.
On April 1, Fitzpatrick, with a videographer recording every step, first filed citizen's arrest papers with the local clerk of the court in Madisonville, then proceeded to the courtroom and attempted to place Pettway under arrest.
Tennessee law TCA § 40-7-101(3) authorizes a private person to arrest another:
For a public offense committed in his presence; [or] When the person arrested has committed a felony, although not in his presence; or When a felony has been committed, and he has reasonable cause to believe that the person arrested committed it.
Instead of honoring Fitzpatrick's lawful position, sheriff's deputies arrested him, handcuffed him and walked him across the street to the jailhouse, where he was held for four days before being arraigned with bond set at $1,500 on charges of "disrupting a meeting and resisting arrest." He immediately went on a hunger strike, refusing both food and water.
Fitzpatrick had previously filed an "Affidavit of Criminal Complaint" charging more than two dozen county, state and federal officials - from the local sheriff and judges to Secretary of Defense William Gates, Vice President Joe biden and Obama - with treason and "being actively engaged in the constructive levy of war against the U.S. government and the citizens of the United States of America."
Fitzpatrick was released from prison on April 6 after going
on a hunger strike and refusing to pay the $1,500 bail in protest.
His release came after news that his supporters were planning
a march on the jailhouse. Time will tell what happens next. Will
he die a martyr?

The Obama presidency may be the "biggest hoax in the nation's history." These words were relayed to this writer by attorney-activist Phil berg in an exclusive interview with American Free Press on March 24.
Though a firm date has yet to be announced, berg described his upcoming "Phoney Birth Certificate Rally" in Washington, D.C. prior to stating matter-of-factly, "I'm the first lawyer in America with enough moxy to sue ‘President' Obama. I've already filed three lawsuits against him, while there are 50 other similar actions across the country. Obama has already spent $1.6 million fighting these lawsuits. All he has to do is show verifiable proof of being born in the United States, and I'll go away."
"I'm looking for a ‘Deep Throat' to come forward," he explained. "Then, all those involved in the cover-up should be tried in a court of law; and if convicted they should be imprisoned, including former DNC Chairman Howard Dean and Michelle Obama. Obama should be deported as an illegal alien. There's no evidence that he's ever been naturalized.
The dangers surrounding this issue hang like a "sword of Damocles" over the nation's head. Berg observes, "Obama has set himself up to be blackmailed by so many people. For example, George Soros knows the truth about his birth certificate, so they told Obama, ‘If you want to be president, you have to play ball our way,'"
Although supporters point to his purported Hawaiian documentation, Berg tells a different story.
"Obama has a certificate of Live Birth [COLB] that doesn't provide the hospital's name, doctor's name or doctor's signature. With such, you couldn't get a passport, marriage license, school registration or enroll a child in Little League, with this type of COLB. Even MSNBC's Chris Matthews admitted that no one has seen Obama's actual birth certificate."
Obama's subterfuge reverts back to his transitory youth. Berg told me, "Obama was legally adopted in Indonesia, with his real name being Barry Soetoro, and religion listed as Islamic. There is no evidence he ever legally changed his name. Even at Occidental College in California, he used the name Barry Soetoro while applying for foreign aid as a foreign student.
An obvious question arises: Why would a natural-born U.S. citizen apply for financial aid as a foreign student? Unfortunately, answers are not forthcoming, because Obama's college records have been sealed. Classmates such as former vice presidential candidate Wayne Allyn Root wonder if Obama ever attended Columbia University. Berg interjects, "During a recent reunion, no one remembered him being there. Plus, they didn't ask Obama to speak. Why wouldn't they request such an esteemed alumnus - the president - to make an address? It doesn't make sense."
Despite these glaring irregularities, newsmen on the left and right continue to suppress this information. Berg points out, "After Sarah Palin's nomination as John McCain's running mate, journalists searched under every rock in Alaska trying to find dirt, But had the national media genuinely covered the birth certificate story, Obama would have been deemed ineligible."
As an attorney, Berg addresses other legal matters.
"Obama is essentially saying: ‘I don't care about the U.S. constitution. I'm walking all over it.' Fut right now, we have a constitutional crisis in this country. The reason I've filed these lawsuits is because the Constitution is our country's most important document. It's the backbone of our nation."
He continues, "Still, Obama doesn't face much of a threat due to a fundamental conflict of interest at the department of Justice. Attorney General Eric Holder dismisses any and all legal inquiries. It's not just Democrats, who want to silence those who question Obama's legitimacy to serve in the White House. Fox News comedian/commentator Glen Beck refers to arguments questioning Obama's birth certificate as "the dumbest thing I've ever heard." Viewers should know that Beck, who made $32 million last year posing as a patriotic populist, is onlya cheap entertainer, and he should not be taken seriously.

When law enforcement officials announced the arrest of numerous "Hutaree" "militia" members for "conspiring to levy war against the United States," many people had flashbacks of Timothy McVeigh and the OKC bombing. This reaction is precisely what the feds intended. Newscasters reported that a raid took place on the group's "headquarters." In reality, this "cult" operated out of two single wide mobile homes, with total membership at a whopping 17 members.
On April 1, reporters for The Detroit Free Press wrote that those arrested were charged with "seditious conspiracy and attempting to use weapons of mass destruction - bombs - among other firearm charges." What authorities failed to mention was that the "cult" leader's 21-year-old son served as their "munitions expert." The Associated Press's Madalyn Ruggiero observed that he "researched the devices on the Internet and emailed diagrams of them to someone he thought could build them."
There weren't any WMDs, and a few of the Hutaree poseurs actually wept at their preliminary hearing. Not the type of iron-willed warriors you'd expect to over-throw the world's largest military.
On two other occasions, "militia" members helped country sheriffs search for missing persons. When Hutaree leaders tried to attend a February "militia" meeting in Kentucky, they were thwarted by heavy snow. I'll bet the U.S. government is shaking in its jackboots.
The Detroit Free Press quoted defense attorney Michael Rataj as saying, "These are a bunch of good ol' boys who liked to play with guns, dress up in camouflage and train in the woods. That's all you have, is a lot of talk. Absolutely nothing illegal about that."
Group leader David Stone's lawyer, William Swor, agreed after the release of an FBI undercover tape. "What we heard is that, Mr. Stone is angry. That's not evidence of criminal activity."
During an April 2 interview with this writer, radio talk show host Frank Whalen of Frankly Speaking Radio put this matter into perspective.
"The most important thing people should do is be skeptical and discerning," said Whalen. "Where is the proof that they tried to overthrow the government? Here are some facts. We're told that Hutaree members wanted to kill a police officer, but during the past two years they never did, even though they had ample opportunities. If you examine the Department of Homeland Security's list of ‘domestic terrorists' released last year, Hutaree fits almost every parameter in one fell swoop. Now DHS can say their concerns are validated.
"It's all part of an agenda to turn the government's focus internally, on supposed ‘homegrown' terrorists. This way, it sends a message to anyone associated with ‘extreme' groups - even Tea Party members - that they better run back to the Democratic or republican parties. The government will demonize anyone who doesn't fit into this controlled paradigm. They want to get rid of independent thought in this country."
Paul Topete, from man for the Pennsylvania-based patriotic rock band Poker Face, has already seen the ramifications. His local newspaper placed their faces on the front page because Hutaree members posted a Poker Face music video on their web site. Topete also recognizes a none-too-subtle agenda.
During an April 2 interview, he told this writer, "Does anyone remember the trumped-up charges against Richard Jewell? Given the government's track record in the past, what we're seeing is a backlash against their new enemies: white, Christian, freedom-loving citizens who support the Constitution, gun rights and oppose the New World Order/ Resistance is growing against the ‘Obaminator.' So, the federal mafia is sending in troops against anyone who opposes the real ‘anti-Americanites.' I'm talking about the Anti-Defamation League and southern Poverty Law Center."
What makes Topete's words even more urgent is the presence of an undercover FBI agent in the Rutarees' midst. If we revert back again to OKC, the "militia" command center at Elohim city had more FBI, BATF and ADL infiltrators that legitimate members.
On March 30, The Wall Street Journal revealed that, indeed, there was a "person known as a cooperation witness and an undercover FBI agent" in the Hutaree camp. On April 1, Assistant U.S. Attorney Ronald Waterstreet also announced that an FBI "infiltrator had attended some of the group's meetings."
When it comes to the Hutarees' purportedly huge weapons arsenal, most of it wasn't even discovered at their primary mobile home location. The Detroit Free Press reported that agents " found 46 guns and 13,000 rounds of ammunition during the raid on Thomas Piatek's Indiana home."
Other misinformation centered on a mentally ill Hutaree member, 27-year-old Kristopher sickles, who was characterized as a cold-blooded psychopath who ‘Killed his own dat." Yet in an April 2 article by the AP's Joanne Viviano, Sickles's brother, corrected this falsehood. The cat"was blind and incontinent, and the family had no money to have a vet put it down. Sickles shot the animal, and cried like a baby for two weeks.
We need to ask: Is this the face of militant revolutionaries plotting to topple the U.S. government? Or, are patriot-minded citizens being scapegoated yet again by the like of ADL and SPLC provocateurs?
Whalen, for one, isn't being fooled. "Politicians are the ones ratcheting up the tone of violence," he said. "There's a commonality to how they're treating all these cases of alleged ‘domestic terrorism' by lumping them all together. Both extreme parties on the left and right are being fired up by these politicians. As things reach a fevered pitch, they'll introduce new legislation, like John McCain's Senate bill 30 81.
To those who don't know, McCain's bill "provides for
the interrogation and detention of ‘enemy belligerents'
who commit hostile acts against the United States."

In the court hearings involving the "Hutaree Christian Militia" in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, it's likely a frame-up to paint ordinary patriotic Americans with the same tainted brush to generate fear and scare mainstream Americans away from taking important patriotic actions at this critical time in U.S. history.
The timing of the arrest of the "Hutaree" people - David Brian Stone, his wife, their two sons and several others now in custody - is indeed curious, coming two to three weeks before a well-publicized "national strike" slated for April 15-18. Some of those involved in the strike plan to help deliver what are known as the Articles of Freedom to many state capitols April 19, to urge state officials to put the heat on federal officials. All of this was coming to a head as American Free Press went to press this week.
The strike calls for Americans from any walk of life to do their best to stip buying imports, not send their kids to public schools on those days, get, and stay, out of debt, stop using banks and work together for self-supportive communities with cottage industries and independent agriculture. Civil disobedience in the form of withholding tax payments is another likely component. It's all based on individual choice.
The Articles of Freedom come from last November's first modern Continental Congress. They contain what organizers call "instructions" to demand that the federal government stop abridging the Constitution. Among the demands is major monetary reform.
Although members of the Hutaree group may just be misfits, caught up in another misleading "end times" religion or a lock-and-load mindset, their arrest should come as no surprise. Such a misguided approach to "take on tyranny," if it isn't an intentional "plant" to discredit patriotism in general, is doomed to FBI infiltration and failure.
Indeed, the "Hutaree" world view and similar outlooks miss the inescapable reality that the U.S. government is ruled by transnational banking interests and that "facing our tyrants" must happen in that precise realm. Because the awesome power to create money is wrongly in private hands, the government is corrupted by its financial overlords and oppresses the people, mortgaging their labor property and therefore their lives to pay the debts created by a debt-based monetary system run by the world's banking elite.
Without this monetary tyranny, there would be far less political tyranny. That is the key point.
So while "militias" and survivalist groups will come and go, a widespread awakening among the American people of may political viewpoints about the nature of money and the need for more self-sufficiency is the kind of peaceful, all-encompassing "revolution" that is needed. That way, over time, the great banking swindle that has torn apart nations and fostered terrible wars can be pulled down. No matter how difficult that may seem, it has to happen.
For such genuine reform to occur, the United States would stop giving U.S. bonds to the Federal Reserve in order to get interest-bearing money with which to operate the government. Instead, the government would print or mint its own currency interest-free. The Fed would be dissolved so it could no longer sell money to the United States. Its officers would be tried and imprisoned for obscene time periods - and that is being kind.
A true Michigan revolutionary, Henry Ford, speaking of the 1920s construction of the Muscle Shoals Dam in Alabama, told The New York Times back then: "See what a spectacle we have. Army engineers say it will take $40 million to complete the big dam. But Congress is economical just now and not in a mood to raise the money by taxation. The customary alternative is 30-year bonds at 4percent. The United States, the greatest government in the world, wishing $40 million to complete a great public benefit, is forced to go to the money sellers to buy its own money. At the end of 30 years the government not only has to pay back the $40 million but it has to pay 12 percent interest, literally has to pay $88 million for the use of $40 million for 30 years. Think of it. Could anything be more childish, mor un-businesslike?
His friend Thomas Edison, another patriotic figure who grew up in Michigan, clarified:
If our nation can issue a dollar bond, it can issue a dollar bill. The element that makes the bond good, makes the bill good also. The difference between the bond and the bill is that the bond lets the money brokers collect twice the amount of the bond and an additional 20 percent, whereas the currency pays nobody but those who contribute directly to Muscle Skoals in some useful way.
It is absurd to say that our country can issue $30 million in bonds and not $30 million in currency. Both are promises to pay, but one fattens the usurers and the other helps the people. If the currency issued by the government was no good then the bonds would be no good either. It is a terrible situation when the government, to increase the national wealth, must go into debt and submit to ruinous interest charges.
Those ruinous charges land like artillery shells on our towns,
with parts of Detroit and other former industrial towns looking
like bombed-out war zones. Yet Ford and Edison, both of whom
were instrumental in creating real wealth, long ago described
the true nature of the war we must fight. It is in this avenue
that legitimate militias and all other patriots worthy of the
name must focus their efforts.

As we head into the summer driving season and gasoline prices are again creeping up, the administration has announced plans to explore opening up more offshore areas for exploration and drilling. On the one hand this can be lauded as a positive stip. On the other hand, it is too little, much too late to have any meaningful or long-term effect on what Americans pay at the pump anytime soon, if at all.
Indeed, if increasing domestic energy production were really a priority, the administration would direct the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to remove its many roadblocks and barriers to energy production. I fact, abolishing the EPA altogether would do much to improve our country's economy. Instead of protecting the environment as they are supposed to, most of what they do simply chills the economy. Polluters should be directly liable in court to any and all parties they harm, rather than bureaucrats at the EPA.
Of course, the recent announcement was couched in terms of removing barriers and red tape. However, the fact that we had these barriers in the first place is yet another reminder of how the energy market is hampered and controlled by bureaucrats and central planners in Washington, rather than the demands of the people and the decisions of private investors.
Consider how extremely negative our government's reaction has been to other governments around the world that have nationalized their oil and energy industries, such as Venezuela and Iran. We deposed a democratically elected leader in Iran in 1953 for this very reason. Yet the level of involvement of our government and bureaucrats in energy is nearly absolute. Of course, the only thing worse than our government dictating energy decisions to its own citizens is our government dictating energy decisions to the citizens of other countries.
Along with the waste of prohibitions that leave our own natural resources untapped is the waste our government perpetrates with subsidies to alternative fuel sources.
There is certainly profit to be made in perfecting cheaper, cleaner fuel sources, but government subsidy programs interfere with finding realistic long-term solutions. Subsidies divert resources toward certain politically favored fuel types while ignoring others. If the market were left alone, private investors would put their own capital into the most promising alternative fuels. Instead, due to government incentives, resources are concentrated into politically chosen endeavors that could very will end up being dead ends. Meanwhile, precious time and money is wasted.
The government has the opposite of the Midas touch. This has been observed over and over by the reduced quality and rising prices in every private industry in which it entangles itself. Yet some how people still seem willing, even eager, to relinquish to government control the most important and sensitive portions of our economy and society.
Education, healthcare and energy are all unfortunate examples
of industries that are, in my opinion, far too important to be
left to government control when it is the market that has the
golden touch.

Multinational agricultural corporations are intent on processing, enriching, heat treating, ultra-pasteurizing, flash freezing, irradiating or genetically modifying everything we eat today. But more and more consumers are rejecting these developments, opting instead for natural foods, which have the types of healing effects that turn scientists in white lab coats green with envy. One of these is locally raised, raw honey.
Most people believe honey comes from pollen. In actuality, it comes from nectar from flowers that honeybees collect and take back to the hive. Basically, bees process the honey by repeatedly ingesting and regurgitating it until it is a concentrated form. The bees than fan their wings over the concentrated, semi-digested nectar until most of the water is evaporated out of it. It is only then that it is considered raw honey, which can be extracted and stored for a long time by beekeepers.
Honey is not sugar. It is a critical food supply for bee colonies that contains complex carbohydrates, which take longer to break down in a body than simple sugar extracted from sugar cane or beets. It also has concentrated levels of vitamins and minerals like B2, B6, manganese and iron.

A little raw honey in mint tea or mixed with cinnamon can ease a stomach ache as well as any over-the-counter remedy.
Because raw honey contains small amounts of propolis - a complex mixture of resins and other substances that honeybees use to seal the hive and fight off bacteria and other micro-organisms - it also makes for an effective topical treatment to ward off bacteria, fungus and viruses. In addition, honey is less than 18 percent water, which makes it "hydrophilic," meaning it draws water toward it. This is another reason it is effective as a beauty treatment or as a wound dressing.
In Australia, doctors have been experimenting with honey extracted from hives that draw nectar from tea tree forests. Oil extracted from tea trees is well-known for fighting everything from bacteria to viruses to dandruff to bad breath. When applied topically, tea -tree honey has shown great promise in treating patients suffering from extreme burns.
The key to all of this is to make sure you are purchasing raw honey, not the variety that has been pasteurized or adulterated by multinational corporations. Bent on profits over quality food, Chinese honey is increasingly being found on the shelves of mass chain grocery stores around the United States. Also, a rash of cheap, honey-like syrups, labeled as "honey sauce," has been showing up in stores and restaurants. These are nothing more than high-fructose corn syrup, which has been boiled down to make a thick syrup. Of course, you have to read the fine print to realize this.

IMPORTANT NOTE: One thing to know for families: Raw honey
can contain a small amount of botulinum spores. This is harmless
to adults in small amounts, but it can be dangerous for infants,
who have not developed all of their intestinal fauna yet. While
this claim has been disputed by some health authorities, the
general recommendation is to wait until children are at least
a year old before giving them honey - raw or pasteurized.

Many informed people believe that mercury, an extremely toxic metal which kills neurones in culture at extremely low concentrations, has preferentially damaged the brains of a whole generation of boys. Mercury is introduced into children during gestation both from food that their mothers eat and from their mothers' "silver dental fillings" which contained 50 percent mercury when installed.
The national childhood vaccination program, until very recently, added substantial quantities of thimerosol, a mercury compound used as a preservative, directly into infant bloodstreams before blood brain barrier were fully effective. The incidence of autism spectrum diseases become epidemic after the invention of thimerosol.
Female hormones help protect girl children against mercury; boys are unprotected. Therefore boys' brains tend to suffer more damage than those of girls. Autism affects about four times as many boys as girls, and there is evidence that even boys who escape autism suffer other kinds of brain damage.
Dr. Boyd Haley, chairman of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Kentucky, believes, along with many other scientists, that autism spectrum diseases are caused by mercury toxicity. Although this is a controversial subject, some lawsuits have been decided in favor of plaintiffs who charged that mercury caused autism spectrum diseases.
Many years ago thimerosol was tried as a topical treatment for umbilical cord infections. Almost half the infants treated died. Those who lived had lots of mercury in their hair and fingernails. Those who didn't had very little. This indicates that infants who were good at excreting mercury lived and those who were unable to rid themselves of it died.
It is worthy of note that each flu shot contains 25 micrograms
of mercury in the form of thimerosol. This is twice the amount
that used to be included in pediatric vaccines before being ostensibly
eliminated just a few years ago. Nevertheless infants are priority
targets for flu vaccination.

Dr. Scott Reuben, former chief of acute pain at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., accepted a $75,000 grant from Pfizer to study Celebrex in 2005. His research, which was published in a medical journal, has since been quoted by hundreds of other doctors and researchers as "proof" the Celebrex helped reduce pain during post-surgical recovery. The only problem was that Reuben wrote his fictional findings without ever enrolling any patients in the study. Dr. Reuben, it turns out, faked the entire medical study and got it published anyway.
The prominent Massachusetts anesthesiologist has now admitted he fabricated 21 medical studies that claimed to show benefits from painkillers like Celebrex, according to the hospital where he worked.
It's called the largest research fraud iin medical history. Reuben, a former Member of Pfizer's speakers bureau, has agreed to plead guilty to fake dozens of research studies that were published in several anesthesiology journals between 1996 and 2008. These weren't the first studies faked by Reuen: He also faked data on Bextra and Vioxx drugs, reports The Wall Street Journal.
As a result of Reuben's jaded studies, the peer-reviewed medical journal Anesthesia &Analgesia was forced to retract 10 scientific papers authored by Reuben. The Day of London reports that 21 articles written by Reuben that appeared in medical journals have apparently been fabricated, too, and must be retracted.
In an editorial in the journal Anesthesiology, editor James C. Eisenach warned that "these retractions clearly raise the possibility that we might be heading in wrong directions or toward blind ends in attempts to improve pain therapy."
Reuben was fired from his job at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after an internal audit there found that he had been faking data for 13 years.
Internet health watchdog Mike Adams said, "What's notable about this story is not the fact that a medical researcher faked clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry or that so-called ‘scientific' medical journals published his fabricated studies. It's not even the fact that the drug companies paid him close to half a million dollars while he kept on pumping out fabricated research. The real story here is that this is business as usual in the pharmaceutical industry."
Drug companies bribe researchers and doctors as a routine matter. Medical journals routinely publish false, fraudulent studies. FDA panel members regularly rely on falsified research in making their drug approval decisions, and the mainstream media regularly quote falsified research in reporting the news, says Adams.
"Quacks like Dr. Scott Reuben are an important part of the pharmaceutical profit machine because without falsified research, bribery and corruption, the industry would have very little research at all."
Of course, all the proponents of pharmaceuticals, vaccines and mammograms ignorantly claim that their conventional medicine is all based on "good science."
Many natural practitioners say that the pharmaceutical industry
couldn't operate without fraudulent research. It is falsified
research that give the industry its best marketing claims and
strongest FDA approvals.

It's called the world'‘s largest landfill, except the 100 million tons of rubbish are actually a floating junkyard located in the ocean. Dome estimate this great Pacific garbage patch to be twice the size of Texas, while Dr. Simon Baxall of the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, England assert, "It's the size of North America."
Discovered in 1997 by yacht-racing captain Charles Moore, this trash vortex of ocean currents teems with non-biodegradable plastic, bottles, PCBs, DDT, toxic waste and other debris. The amphibious cesspool is hazardous to U.S. citizens and others for a number of reasons. Not only does it represent, as Ed Comming wrote on March 16 for The Telegraph UK, "A floating monument to our culture of waste," this "galaxy of garbage" also affects our food supply.
The vicious cycle begins with landfills seeping into creeks, sewers, rivers and ultimately the ocean. Microscopically sized plastic particles eventually break down, absorb toxins and float atop or near the ocean's surface. These "nurdles," described by Commins as being saturated with poisons, are then consumed by minute aquatic organisms. The food chain continues when bigger fis heat these maritime "filter feeders," and are subsequently caught by commercial fishermen . Obviously, species such as tuna and swordfish are eaten by humans, whose digestive tracts are invaded by toxic chemicals carried inside the seafood.
Combating this problem is especially difficult because rather than being a "trash island" with one fixed position, environmentalist Russell McLendon contends that we should view it more as a rubbish superhighway constantly shifting locations due to deep-water currents, eddies and oceanic gyres. Further, it's difficult to map this shifting vortex by aircraft or satellites because 80 percent of the soupy mass consists of tiny, translucent plastic particles floating slightly below the water's surface.
Brian Handwerk of National Geographic News confirms this perplexing situation in a July 31, 2009 article: "Perhaps 70 percent of plastic at the site has sunk -out of sight, but not out of the ecosystem. Much of the plastic has broken down into tiny pieces that saturate the water and become a toxic part of the marine ecosystem. Enormous numbers of fish and birds die after eating tiny plastic morsels."
Although nations such as the United States discuss cleaning up this toxic swamp, Boxall isn't quite so optimistic. "There is nothing we can do," says Boxall. "It's too big. It's here to stay. It's like nuclear waste. Even an oil spillage, disastrous as it is, eventually breaks down. Plastic doesn't."

In a 2006 science fair poject, it is claimed a high school girl did her own test to learn about the dangers of microwaving food and water. Her project involved taking filtered water and dividing it into two parts. The first part she heated to boiling in a pan on the stove, and the second part she heated to boiling in a microwave. Then after cooling both, she watered two identical plants to see if there would be any difference in the growth between the normal boiled water and the water boiled in a microwave. She was thinking that the structure or energy of the water might be compromised by microwave. Even she was amazed at her own results.
By only the third day there was a noticeable difference, and by the fifth day it was obvious that the plant receiving the daily doses of microwaved water was dying, while the one absorbing the purified water was thriving. In only three more days, the microwaved water had totally killed the first plant.
We have known for years that the problem with microwaving food or water is not so much the radiation but the molecular corruption of the DNA so severe in the food that the body cannot recognize it. So the body wraps it in fat cells to protect itself from the dead food or it eliminates it fast. The human body cannot metabolize the unknown by-products created in microwaved food. The minerals in vegetables are altered into cancerous free radicals when cooked in microwave ovens.
We immediately think of all the mothers heating up milk in these "safe" appliances. The manufacturers say it's safe, and your doctor will likely say it's safe too, but the preponderance of evidence against these claims is overwhelming.
In 1991, there was a lawsuit in Oklahoma concerning the hospital use of a microwave oven to warm blood needed in a transfusion. The case involved a hip surgery patient, Norma Levitt, who died from a simple blood transfusion. It seems the nurse had warmed the blood in a microwave oven. This tragedy makes it very apparent that there's much more to "heating with microwaves than we've been led to believe. Blood for transfusions is routinely warmed, but not in microwave ovens. In the case of Mrs. Levitt, the microwaving altered the blood and killed her.
But there is much more to know and understand about the problem. Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven causes long term and even permanent brain damage by "shorting out" electrical impulses in the brain.
Male and female hormone production is shut down and/or altered by continually eating microwaved foods, and minerals, vitamins, and nutrients of all microwaved food is reduced or altered so that the human body gets little or no benefit.
Micrewaved foods cause cancerous stomach and intestinal tumors. This may help explain the rapidly increased rate of colon cancer in America.

Along our southern border, concerns are growing that the escalating drug violence in Mexico will spill into the United States; and for many, on both sides of the border, the fear is very real.
Last week, residents held a town-hall meeting in Fort Hancock, Texas—a sleepy agricultural village on the border, about an hour southeast of El Paso. A couple hundred people crowded into the grade-school gym to hear a chilling message from Hudspeth County Sheriff Arvin West. "You farmers, I'm telling you right now: Arm yourselves," he said. "It's better to be tried by 12 than carried by six; and I don't want to see six people carrying you."
On the last Saturday night in March, a well-known rancher was murdered in southeastern Arizona. Authorities suspect an illegal immigrant killed Robert Krentz, 58, without provocation, and escaped back into Mexico.
"We know this," said Cochise County, Arizona sheriff Larry Dever at a news briefing: "Robert was shot. His dog was shot. He was in an all-terrain vehicle, and he never got out of the vehicle. There is absolutely no reason this had to happen other than the bad intentions of one sick, sorry individual that we hope to be able to catch up to very quickly."
Krentz was a popular, third-generation rancher who was inducted into the Arizona Farming and Ranching Hall of Fame one year ago and had served as president of the Cochise-Graham Cattle Growers Association.
Minutemen member and friend Chris Simcox said the news of Krentz's death was unsettling, but not surprising.
"There's a war going on in Mexico, and it's spilling across our borders," Simcox said the morning after the murder. "He's been working with Border Patrol for years, begging and pleading for help with his property being vandalized and his home being robbed.
"And he's always been a humanitarian," Simcox continued. "He always gives water and food to the people he finds in distress, which seems to have been the case last night; and he called his wife and said he was giving some water to illegals and said to call Border Patrol."
The warning by Texas Sheriff West was prompted by the killing of the Arizona rancher, and the spiraling violence a couple of miles away in Mexico in a region known as the Valley of Juarez. The notorious smuggling territory is being fought over by the Sinaloa and the Juarez cartels.
TROOPS TO THE BORDER
The murder prompted governors in New Mexico and Texas to send forces to the border. The following week, the Mexican government sent dozens of police and soldiers to the Juarez Valley to restore order on the Mexican side.
"One of the men that works for me had five people killed in front of his house over there [in Mexico] this past weekend," said Curtis Carr, who is a Texas farmer and county commissioner. "And he's moving his family over here this week. It's serious over there. Whether or not it's gonna spill over here, nobody knows."
The sheriff warned citizens to be alert and report strange vehicles on their streets, but at the same time not to succumb to fear.
The violence in the Juarez Valley directly affects this little Texas town.
In March, gunmen in the Juarez Valley killed the Mexican relative of a Fort Hancock high school student. When the student's family in Fort Hancock heard about it, they crossed the border at 10 a.m. to see the body, and took the student with them.
"By 10:30, they had stabbed the relatives that went with him, which included his grandparents, with an ice pick," says school superintendent Jose Franco. "My understanding is that the gentleman is 90 years old, and they poked his eyes out with an ice pick."
The Valley of Juarez has a long history of human and drug trafficking and is close to the city of Juarez, a major smuggling point. It's right across from Texas, with Interstate 10 only a few miles to the north and with the Rio Grande River, only ankle deep in many places, being no deterrent.
More than 50 people were killed in the Juarez Valley in March.
"You can literally walk across the river—and some times of the year not even get wet," veteran Border Patrol agent Joe Romero says. "With the ease with which you can literally cross the border here from one side to the other, this makes it very lucrative and appealing to anybody trying to smuggle in whatever contraband they have."

A respected human rights organization has unearthed an official document dating to the Bush administration, which proves that powerful figures in the White House actively discouraged the official panel set up to investigate the 9-11 attacks from looking too deeply into the attack.
In March, through a FOIA request, the ACLU obtained 42 pages of illuminating documents exposing further the Bush administration's duplicity regarding the facts of the 9-11 attacks, Guantanamo detainees and other matters. Buried on page 26 of these is a letter revealing that senior Bush administration officials sternly cautioned the 9-11 Commission against probing too deeply into the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
The notification came in a letter dated Jan. 16, 2004 that was addressed by Attorney General John Ashcroft, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and CIA Director George J. Tenet. The key document indicates once more the behind-the-scenes charade that went on—and continues to go on—with those high-ranking officials attempting to cover-up the facts and truth of the 9-11 attacks. The ACLU described it as a fax sent by David Addington, then-counsel to former Vice President Dick Cheney.
In the message, the officials denied the bipartisan commission's request to question terrorist detainees, informing its two senior-most members that doing so would "cross a line" and obstruct the administration's ability to protect the nation.
"In response to the commission's expansive requests for access to secrets, the executive branch has provided such access in full cooperation," the letter read. "There is, however, a line that the commission should not cross—the line separating the commission's proper inquiry into the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks from interference with the government's ability to safeguard the national security, including protection of Americans from future terrorist attacks."
The 9-11 Commission, officially called the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, was formed by President Bush in November 2002 "to prepare a full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks" and to offer recommendations for preventing future attacks.
"The commission staff's proposed participation in questioning of detainees would cross that line," the letter continued. "As the officers of the United States responsible for the law enforcement, defense and intelligence functions of the government, we urge your commission not to further pursue the proposed request to participate in the questioning of detainees."
The letter was obviously prompted by correspondence from the commission two days earlier informing Rumsfeld and Tenet that the commission was zeroing in on seven of more than 100 suspects interviewed by the CIA in order to "form an independent evaluation of the credibility of the suspects' statements."
The targeting of these "seven core conspirators," named along with the others in a previous letter, apparently frightened Rumsfeld and Tenet into worrying that the 9-11 Commission might learn more than they were supposed to know about these interrogations.
Some speculated that this was an attempt by the Bush administration to ensure its torture of detainees, which has since been widely documented, remained secret.
Court watcher and political observer Marcy Wheeler wrote, "Whoever made these annotations appears to have been most worried that commission staff members could make independent judgments about the detainees and the interrogations." The official didn't want anyone to "independently evaluate the interrogations conducted in the torture program."
Eventually, the commission's co-chairs harshly criticized the administration for having purportedly destroyed tapes of its interrogations with terror suspects. 9-11 Commission members Thomas Kean and Lee H. Hamilton wrote that although President George W. Bush had ordered all executive branch agencies to cooperate with the probe, "recent revelations that the CIA destroyed videotaped interrogations of al Qaeda operatives leads us to conclude that the agency failed to respond to our lawful requests for information about the 9-11 plot. . . . Those who knew about those videotapes— and did not tell us about them—obstructed our investigation.
"There could have been absolutely no doubt in the mind of anyone at the CIA—or the White House—of the commission's interest in any and all information related to al Qaeda detainees involved in the 9-11 plot. Yet no one in the administration ever told the commission of the existence of videotapes of detainee interrogations."

On April 9, this editor for AMERICAN FREE PRESS had the opportunity to speak directly with famed ex-professional wrestler, author and former governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura in order to discuss a host of subjects, including censorship of his column on the Sept. 11 attacks and his provocative conspiracy show, which airs on cable television.
Ventura confirmed that his TRU-TV cable series on major conspiracies, which some assumed had been canned after its first installment concluded early this year, is alive and well. A new season with 10 episodes will hit the airwaves in the fall of 2010, he said.

While the former Navy Seal who became a high-profile independent Minnesota governor would love to specify the 10 topics, he was not yet fully at liberty to reveal what they are, though he did say one is about the shooting of John F. Kennedy. "Initially there were seven episodes; now they're ordering 10 more," he stated in an upbeat manner, while noting that some decisions still have to be made on what will air and in what order.
"We have 20 conspiracies that we'll have to pare down to 10. I'll have to battle with the network, but in the end we'll settle on 10 of them. They promised JFK. There is no pecking order at all."
The straight-talking Ventura had just finished filling in for CNN's Larry King Live as a guest host when he spoke with this AFP writer. Notably, Ventura had Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) as one of the guests on the show the evening of April 9. Another was "defrocked" former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich who, despite harboring more liberal views than Paul, concurred with the Texas congressman on several matters, particularly Paul's insistence that the United States end its interventionist foreign policy that is a factor in bankrupting the nation.
Ventura, though he appeared on an establishment media show,
remarked without hesitation that America's constant wars continue
because certain connected people get rich from them.
Ventura may be famous for having been a wrestler, but his brawn
is complemented by brains and a tough-mindedness often missing
in political and journalistic discourse these days.
One of the main issues he wrestles with now is resistance to his frank discussion of the conventional story of what really happened on 9-11-2001. Recently, The Huffington Post Internet news site quickly took down a column Ventura had posted there that questioned the government's 9-11 story. Ventura's column mentioned San Francisco architect Richard Gage, whose group, Architects and Engineers for 9-11 Truth, has grown to more than 1,100 architects, engineers and other technical experts who have presented considerable evidence to challenge conventional 9-11 "wisdom."
Ventura minces no words when it comes to 9-11, which is the touchy topic that likely is the main factor keeping corporate news organs from reviewing a book on conspiracies written by a man who commands the attention of a large cross-section of Americans, including young activists.
Ventura was well received by thousands of young activists
at Paul's huge
counter-convention for renegade Republicans and independents
in Minneapolis in September 2008, held at the same time as the
establishment Republican National Convention nearby in St. Paul.
This AFP writer first met Ventura there and shot a video interview
of him, discussing ballot-access laws and other hurdles that
make it hard for independent and "third party" candidates
to get elected to office and make needed changes.
In 2004, Ventura found himself informing young Americans by conducting a class on third-party politics as a guest teacher at Harvard University, where he attracted a record turnout of 300 students in the lecture hall.
While recalling that The Huffington Post pulled his 9-11 article only one hour after it was posted—much faster than the 24 hours some readers assumed—Ventura indicated he will not drop the 9-11 issue.
Ventura agreed with this writer's observation that pure logic demands that we question how airplane impacts and jet fuel fires alone could destroy both 110- story towers (the government theory).
"How could the twin towers be pulverized into powder by a fire?" he said. "The destruction of the towers threw steel girders 500 feet."
He recalled the irony of Arianna Huffington bugging him for a long time to post his articles on her Internet site, only to mistreat him later.
"She was on my case for two years," he said. He
remarked that while the policy of the Post is, "they don't
do conspiracy theories," the Post will not hesitate to run
articles on other conspiracy theories, including the government's
conspiracy theory on Osama bin Laden's alleged deep involvement
in masterminding 9-11. Ventura's one other column submitted
to the Post, about the Obama administration's war on drugs, was
posted without a problem. But Ventura will not write for the
Post ever again.
Meanwhile, he is chagrined that his latest book, American Conspiracies: Lies, Lies and More Lies That the Government Tells Us, has been on the New York Times Bestsellers' List for more than four weeks at the time of this interview, but that the Times and other major media seem indifferent to providing more publicity.
"Nobody in the mainstream press has reviewed my book," he said. "I brought that up on Larry King Live tonight. I get the feeling it could be another two months in the top 10—and it still won't get reviewed."
Ventura also told AFP that the BBC denied his recent request for legal permission to use well-known news footage on his TRU-TV series that shows a BBC reporter reporting that World Trade Center Building 7—the third building to crumble that day, though it was not hit by a plane—had already fallen, when, at the time she reported it, the building had not fallen yet and was clearly visible in the background, along the Manhattan skyline.
"All we wanted to do was ask the reporter, ‘Who told you that building had collapsed?' " Ventura said. "She got done with the broadcast at 5 p.m., and the building did not collapse until around 5:20."

The Bilderberg-Trilateral clique wants you to pay higher taxes, warns an international financier who deals personally with the clique leaders. It will be high on the two groups' common agenda when the Trilateral commission (TC) meets in Doublin May 6-10 at the Four Seasons Hotel and the Bilderberg group will gather at the Dolce Hotel in Sitges, Spain, June 3-7.
Americans may have to accept higher taxes or cuts in such entitlements as Social Security of Medicare, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said April 7. The Fed chairman always attends both meetings, regardless of which party controls Washington.
"These choices are difficult, and it always seems easier to put them off - until the day they cannot be put off anymore," Bernanke told a private business group in Dallas, referring to the economic meltdown he and fellow globalists deliberately engineered. The businessmen are his messenger boys, whose role is to condition the public to gratefully accept higher taxes.
Increasing taxes on Americans has long been a globalist goal, part of their efforts to increase the standard of living in Third World countries while reducing that of America and Europe, so the world is "economically flat." this is to further their goal of a world government under the United Nations. Nearly 30 years ago, the Trilateralists, meeting in San Francisco, called for an income tax increase in the United States. A day later , the Bilderberg and TC controlled Washington Post called for an income tax hike. Post publishers have attended these meetings since 1954, keeping their promise of eternal Secrecy.
Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund obligingly called for tax increases throughout Europe. The IMF is another Bilderberg-TC power being groomed for the role of world treasury department.
"Unless we do something serious to fix our fiscal path - policies that will tilt the curve downward - you'll see these problems come forward," former Fed chief economist Michael Mussa said April 8 at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in calling for a Tax hike here and in Europe.
The golbalists' ultimate goal remains the same as it has been for decades: to divide the world into three great regions for the administrative convenience of a world government: An "American Union" (AU) similar to the European Union and including all of the Western Hemisphere and an "Asian-Pacific Union." The North American Free Trade Agreement is to expand into the "AU" with a legislature, executive branch and judiciary superior to those of nations - similar to the EU.
Europeans were shocked to learn that the European Court could strike down national laws and its legislature could impose laws on nations, and this has generated public hostility and alerted Americans to the threat to their national sovereignty. President Bill Clinton, a Bilderberg boy, signed a treaty creating a free trade area throughout the Americas as a prelude to the AU. But when polls showed that more than 90 senators were opposed, he did not submit it for ratification.
President George Bush the Second took a different unconstitutional
route to the agreement eliminating borders with Mexico and Canada.
He simply made the agreement, denied that a treaty was a treaty,
and left congress out. However, Congress has, so far, refused
to grant enabling legislation.

Glenn beck is the worst type of deceiver in that, with an actor's fait-and-switch precision, his followers genuinely believe he's on their side. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. If you're a patriotic-minded American looking to this man for guidance, know ne thing: Beck works for the enemy, and he always has. In fact, he skyrocketed to such a position of prominence in the corporate media for one specific reason: to act as a conservative gatekeeper. His handlers pay im well for these services. Last year, Beck (depicted as a populist "Common Joe") earned $32 million.
Most of Beck's critics and devotees alike still myopically limit themselves to the left-right paradigm. In other words, you're either a liberal-Democrat-progressive or a conservative-Republican-Tea-Party member. But such a divide-and-conquer mentality is precisely the trap these con men have set for us. It's the oldest game in town.
That's what makes Beck so dangerous. He's refined his propaganda tactics and taken them to an entirely new level. If there ware a prize for phoniness wrapped in flag-waving earnestness, Beck would win an Academy Award.
A prime example is the Fox commentator's favorite mottos. "Question everything. Question with boldness; hold to the truth, and speak without fear."
During a July 31, 2009 radio broadcast, Beck played the fake-outsider card by declaring, "That's when I started to question everything about my government."
There's only one glaring problem. Beck never questions the government when it concerns major scandals and crimes. He tells his listeners, "Question everything," yet he questions nothing. Rather, he walks in lockstep with the criminal elite; a pied piper hired to lead the disfranchised astray.
In regard to the sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks orchestrated and engineered by a cabal of neo-con Israel-firsters inside the Bush administration as well as the Israeli Mossad, beck proclaimed on Nov. 22, 2007, "Anyone who thinks 9-11 was carried out by the government isn't a ‘truther, ‘they are an idiot." He then links well-intentioned researchers into the same group as Communist Van Jones and other "dangerous, violent radicals."
Beck's most insidious, treasonous statement on this subject came during an Aug. 11, 2006 broadcast when he attributed bomb blasts occurring within the World Trade Center towers to the following: "If you drop a body 80 or 90 stories, when it hits the pavement, it sounds like a bomb." Only a man genuinely possessed by evil, who's sold his soul, could provide such a heartless explanation.
Since 9-11 is directly traceable to the terrorist nation of Israel, beck serves another primary function: divert all attention away from the predominance of pro-Israel infiltrators inside barack Obama's administration.
By co-opting a word from the early 1900s - "progressive" - Beck does everything and anything not to emphasize how Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod, Ben Bernanke, Tim Geithner, Andy Stern of the service union SEIU, car czar Ron Bloom, George Soros, Cass Sunstein, Lawrence Summers, Paul Volcker, and Irs head Douglas Schulman are all Jewish. Furthermore, the Office of Management and Budget, Federal Trade Commission, FDIC, Securities and Exchange Commission and Small Business Administration all have Jewish chairmen and directors.
But Beck will not shine a spotlight on them. Instead, he uses "progressivism" as his sleight of hand. The Fox superstar also constantly rails on the Federal Reserve, yet fails to admit there have been continuous Jewish chairmen heading this privately owned for-profit corporation since 1970, except for a brief 17-month period. He also obsesses over the liberal media, 1960 radicals and Hollywood corrupters. But never once does beck target the least common denominator. All the major corporate media outlets are run by Jews; Saul Alinsky and Frances Piven were Jews; the movie industry is (by its own admission) Jewish controlled; not to mention all the other cultural Marxist groups that have Jewish leadership.
Rather than being forthcoming about these saboteurs, Beck utilizes a plethora of Holocaust-Nazi-Hitler imagery in his monologues, yet fails to examine why many in the know call Obama "America's first Jewish president.
Beck also caters to terrorist extraordinaire Benjamin Natanyahu, who said during a Nov. 15, 2006 interview that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is "preparing for a second Holocaust. " If Beck Sincerely "questioned everything," he would have questioned Netanyahu on the Holocaust by devoting an entire show to the real history of this ruse.
Not too surprisingly, if anyone studied Beck's career, he would realioze that Beck is nothing more than a hired gun for the government's crime racket. When FEMA detention centers become a hot topic, Beck introduced Popular Mechanics conman Jim Meigs to "debunk" it. With Obama's phony birth certificate, Beck cries, "Run away from the birther issue as fast as you can.
When his warmonger handlers want the United States to forward Israel's bloodthirsty agenda, beck targets Iran. "I say we nuke the bastards.
Beck played the thug with others as well. When independent Texas gubernatorial candidate Debra Medina seriously began challenging her two Bilderberg rivals, Rick Perry and Kay Bailey Hutchison, Beck shanghaied her. the same can be said for Ron Paul. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Beck spoke at length about how he loathed the GOP and Democratic parties. but the independent publication Midwest Free Press revealed his fakery on Oct. 30, 2009.
"If Glenn Beck is so concerned with our monetary problems, then why did he do everthing in his power to discredit Ron Paul in the 2008 Republican primaries?" the publication editorialized.
When Paul's followers coordinated an Internet fundraiser on Nov. 5, 2008, beck invoked the image of "terrorist threats" by comparing them to Guy Fawke's alleged plot to blow up England's houses of Parliament.
Now is it any wonder why Glenn Beck won't expose John McCain's father as the primary cover-up artist in Israel's attack on the USS Liberty in 1967, or why he interviews a host of Christian-Zionist guests such as John Hagee and Tim LaHaye?
During Beck's April 7 radio broadcast he criticized others for "bearing false witness." Yet he hypocritically betrays his audience in this same fashion.
How can we defeat our enemies if Beck refuses to even identify them? By focusing on symptoms such as Obama's Marxist roots and his socialist policies, he strategically fails to illuminate the root cause of our nation's problems: an international cartel of Pro-Israel financiers who are destroying our moral, economic and sovereign base.
Worst of all, millions of well-intentioned American citizens look to Beck as a leader, yet little do they know how readily they're being fooled.
Be extremely wary. Beck didn't suddenly skyrocket to such
a pinnacle of success by accident. As the Wizard of Oz taught
us, an actor's smoke and mirrors aren't nearly as important as
what occurs behind the curtain. This isn't Alice in Wonderland.

The relentless digging by Utah attorney Jesse Trentadue, which last year produced new evidence of the RBI's role in the cover-up in Oklahoma City (OKC), has now led to the discovery of CIA documents further implicating government operatives in the planning and carrying out of the federal Murrah Building bombing in 1995.
Even though U.S. District Court Judge Clark Waddoups ruled against Trentadue's motion to make public various documents that the government wanted kept secret for reasons of "national security," the judge, at the same time, hinted at the criminality contained therein.
Trentadue has made many Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests over the years, and this is the first time, the government has used the "national security" defense to deny the records to him.
The March ruling in Salt Lake City was just one more in a long line of FOIA challenges made by Trentadue, who has been in a struggle for more than a decade to get government documents regarding the death of his brother Kenneth in the Oklahoma city Federal Transfer Center. Kenneth was found beaten to death in his cell in August of 1995. Disregarding dozens of cuts and bruises on his body, literally from head to toe - even on the bottoms of his feet - officials ruled the death a "suicide."
The judge's ruling constituted the first documented involvement of the CIA in the handling of the investigation, either before or after the bombing that killed 168 persons.
"Does it mean there was foreign involvement in some manner in the bombing or the investigation?" the intrepid Utah lawyer was asked. "Without a doubt," responded Trentadue.
Many believe the federal government used a foreign operative named Andreas Strassmeier of Germany to work undercover at Elohim City - the Aryan-Nations-type compound in eastern Oklahoma visited by McVeigh and others. Trentadue believes the court ruling and references to the CIA lend more credibility to such a long-held theory.
While the exact content of the dozen documents on the denied FOIA request was not revealed, Waddoups dropped various hints, as if to be standing within his legal parameters while at the same time silently urging Trentadue to "fill in the blanks."
(1) The first exhibit, as pointed out by the judge, pertained to "a five-page fax, dated Feb. 4, 1998, including a letter to an attorney in the department of Justice from an attorney in the CIA," The letter concerned the results of a CIA records search that the CIA "conducted at the DOJ's request."
(2) Exhibit 2 was made up of two fax sheets and a two-page letter dated Oct.22, 1997, from a CIA attorney to an attorney at the DOJ. "It contains information, legal analysis and opinion prepared by a CIA attorney in contemplation of the prosecution of Mr. McVeigh.," wrote the judge.
3) Exhibit 3 was a document dated Sept. 17,1990. "In that letter, the CIA clarifies prior correspondence regarding CIA record searches related to the prosecution of Mr. McVeigh and Terry Nichols," continued Judge Waddoups.
4) Exhibit 4 involved two pages of fax sheets and a four-page letter dated an. 4, 1996 from a CIA attorney to a DOJ attorney. "It relates to any CIA involvement by a possible witness to the Oklahoma City bombing trial. It is classified as secret," added the judge in his ruling.
5) Exhibit 5 pertained to two pages of fax sheets dated April 19, 1996 and four pages of classified handwritten notes summarizing classified information that a DOJ attorney reviewed in connection with the Oklahoma City bombing prosecution. "It is classified as secret," wrote the judge.
6) Exhibit 6 was dated Sept. 3, 1996 and according to the judge, was a letter that responded to the "DOJ's request for information related to the Oklahoma City bombing trail" and was also classified as secret.
7) Exhibit 7 was a two-page cable dated April 21, 1995 "relaying information about the Oklahoma City bombing that was provided to a U.S. ambassador by a foreign official." It was classified as secret.
8) Exhibit 8 concerned a one-page cable dated April 20, 1995 "outlining a federal prosecutor's attempts to extradite an organized crime figure from another country." It too was classified as secret.
9) Exhibit 9 was a three-page cable dated May 10, 1995 "relaying information provided by a foreign government about the possible identification of a suspect in the Oklahoma City bombing."
10) Exhibit 10 was another cable dated April 19, 1995 and relayed information provided by a "foreign liaison contact" regarding the OKC bombing.
11) Exhibit 11 was a two-page cable dated May 2, 1995 relaying information "provided by a human source regarding the Oklahoma City bombing." It was classified as secret.
12) Exhibit 12 was a three-page cable dated April 25, 1995 "relaying background information on a source who provided information to the CIA about the Oklahoma City bombing.
"If there was no foreign involvement, then why was the CIA asked to help federal prosecutors?" asked Trentadue.
This explosive information about the involvement of the CIA
and foreign individuals certainly was never made available to
McVeigh's defense team led by Stephen Jones, he added.

Americans pride themselves on doing their own thinking. If they can get away without mentioning the source of a bright idea or an analysis of some burning political event, they will. Yet there are many who delight in naming the distinguished highly rated pundit who gave them their information.
By the way, a pundit's meanderings are often taken to be news when it is doubtful that he or she ever intended that to be the case. However, it may be news to the listener or viewer. And this faithful and sometimes growing audience helps in raising the pundit's ratings, which determine the amount and cost of advertising and the pundit's income.
In my house, the favorite news channel and its stellar performers is far and away Fox, Yes, that's Rupert Murdoch's network. In his stable is Bill O'Reilly, who regularly hosts The O'Reilly Factor, an artfully crafted production whose guests are given the "last word" by the host and sometimes an offer to return.
O'Reilly promotes his books and sometimes the books of his guests. A regular guest and substitute host on his show is Laura Ingraham. She hosts a midmorning radio potpourri of politically conservative GOP commentary and plenty of commercials. Listeners are urged to call in. But only a few brief calls are aired.
Another wannabe opinion molder who is at home on Fox is Sean Hannity, who wants to return to the days of Ronald Reagan and give the United States a new life. Currently he's into the Tea Party movement, which is being smoothly annexed to the GOP.
George W. Bush's former adviser Karl Rove recently warned the Tea Party goers to be careful and hang on to their non-partisan, non-political status. They could become a policy advisory organization that could sway the outcomes of elections by rating candidates on the issues like the NAACP, Labor Political Action fronts and Right to life organizations do. Good advice.
The Tea Party groups must remain vigilant. They have to beware of those in and outside their ranks who have ulterior motives.
Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas and bona fide election spoiler and double talker (who many believe cost Mitt Romney the GOP nomination in 2008 is at it again, though he denies he has his sights set on 2012.
Hochabee has a Fox television show with audience participation and country-type entertainment. On a recent show he made some excuses for Obama's posture of ambiguity and weakness.
The distinguished actor and pro-American political activist Jon Voight then charged on Huckabee's show that Obama is doing an excellent job of dismantling America. He said, "President Obama has been cleverly trained in the Saul Alinsky method" of turning America into a socialist country.
The current superstar on Fox is Glenn Beck, a multimillionaire entertainer who boasts of his rise from a life shattered by alcohol and drugs to a same and sober life anchored by his Christian faith. Rational Beck watchers note with alarm his over-the-top support of Israel. His constant promotion of Israel and the fictional "Holocaust" is offensive to those looking for truth.

Thorn faults Beck on primary fronts:
a) 9-11 truth - Beck completely discounts the testimony of New York City firefighters, emergency responders and all individuals who heard massive explosions in the WTC building before they collapsed.
b) Bederal Reserve - "Beck has been a vehement crusader against the rash of bailiouts that will eventually bankrupt our Treasury." But he "won'tdisclise that the Federal Reserve is a privately owned, for-profit corporation that lends money to the U.S. at interest and is run by a cartel in international bankers."
c) The New World Order - Beck believes in the old paradigm of left and ritht, but fails to oppose globalists and bankers. He never talks about FDR's foreknowledge of the "surprise" attack on Pearl Harbor, the truth of OKC and Assassinations, such as that of JFK.
d) Israel - Beck likes to talk about fighting the war on terror but has yet to point a finger at Israel's horrific reign of terror. He never mentions Israel's attack on the USS Liberty in 1967, the war crimes in 2006 against Hezbollah and in Gaza against Hamas and the Palestinian people.
