Violent ‘Hagee-ite' Assaults AFP Editor  

Longtime AMERICAN FREE PRESS copy editor John Tiffany was physically attacked by a supporter of Christian Zionist leader John Hagee outside the Washington, D.C. Convention Center late on the afternoon of July 21.

Tiffany, along with other staffers of AFP and supporters, was peacefully protesting Hagee's appearance at the convention center. Also in attendance to support Hagee were several pro-Israel U.S. congressmen.

Tiffany was not the only person attacked by the Hagee follower. Also violently attacked was Medea Benjamin, the leader of Code Pink, an anti-war, pro-peace organization that has been critical of Israel's behavior in the West Bank and Gaza.

Although a police officer was present and witnessed the incidents, he refused to honor Ms. Benjamin's request that the Hagee supporter, who had fled into the convention center, be arrested. A further effort to contact the D.C. police by Ms. Benjamin resulted in the arrival of another police officer, but as this article was being prepared for this issue there still was no indication that the criminal had been taken into custody.

Michael Collins Piper (who witnessed the assault on Tiffany) noted: "The assailant's name, based on his name tag, appeared to be Harold Lightstone and it appeared that he was from the state of New Jersey. The assailant was an older man, considerably taller and heavier than Ms. Benjamin, who is a slight, slender woman. The assailant used a heavy carrying bag—possibly laden with weights—which he wielded as a weapon, swinging it at Mr. Tiffany repeatedly, shouting angrily and loudly as he did so.

Mr. Tiffany did not strike back; rather, he attempted to make his way away from the attacker who continued his assault until surrounded by others who were seeking to stop him."

"Although I did not see the attack on Ms. Benjamin," said Piper, "Ms. Benjamin herself indicated that she had been attacked by this man, and others subsequently confirmed that to me."

Had Ms. Benjamin or anyone from AFP engaged in any physical violence against Mr. Hagee's supporters, one can rest assured that they would now be in custody facing criminal charges.

Jailhouse Letter from Ed Steele Explains How He Was Framed

After being held incommunicado for nearly a month, Idaho attorney Edgar Steele was finally able to get a letter out of the Spokane County Jail, where he is being held on shaky federal charges of "murder for hire." He maintains that a confidential informant (CI) in the feds' employ lied to the authorities regarding the alleged plot in order to cover up the theft of tens of thousands of dollars in silver coins the CI had stolen from Steele sometime earlier.

In addition to being an outspoken foe of the Israeli state and the Anti-Defamation League, Steele has spent the last half of his law career defending—often pro bono—the politically incorrect and especially those charged with "hate crimes," thereby creating a case history that evidently has made him a federal target.

Larry Fairfax, 49, is the CI who claims Steele offered him $25,000 to kill Mrs. Steele and her mother. Her mother resides in Oregon.

This writer has learned that Fairfax has been a longtime informant used by the FBI to gather information in both drug and "hate crime" cases. Steele had been under surveillance for several months. Fairfax had been Steele's handyman, doing home repairs.

Following a June 11 arrest, federal agents destroyed the Steele home, ripping up floorboards and tearing out wall partitions, before hauling away a large amount of silver, gold and other valuables.

Ingri Cassell, widow of Idaho Observer publisher Don Harkins and longtime Steele family friend, experienced several failed attempts to visit or receive a collect phone call from Steele before finally receiving a letter from him on July 9. In the following letter, Steele's explanation of likely events behind the scenes, coupled with the known facts, begins to make sense of the bizarre and dubious accusations of a month earlier:

Dear Ingri,

Thank you for your letter.

All calls out are almost non-existent. I was looking forward to seeing you and Dr. Allen Banks yesterday. I suppose they just turned you away? I haven't had a single visitor here so far and only barely been allowed to see my public defender. I'm not allowed to call my lawyer even until next week. I am in max security, full lockdown, solitary confinement. Worse even than the treatment accorded Matt Hale.

Most of my mail is returned to senders—usually because of their using letters instead of full first and last names in the review [sic] in the return address. OK. I am innocent, for what that is worth in Amerika today. Here is what happened:

My hillbilly handyman stumbled across a stash of silver bullion in one of my outbuildings—then searched and found two others (at $15,000 and $45,000 total). Knowing I would discover the theft and know it was him, he tried to kill me with two pipe bombs he placed on the cars he knew I drove.

They both failed to go off. Cyndi left town with one before he removed it, which led to the discovery of the car bomb on our Mitsubishi SUV.

This guy had offered to be a hit man before, more than once, but I dismissed him as a harmless buffoon. I had told him of the ADL and its hatred for me. This murder-for-hire plot is beyond my hillbilly hit man, so I assume he went to the ADL, which either fabricated tapes that he played for the FBI recorder or produced a mimic of me to make the tapes for the FBI on the spot. Regardless, I have been framed and set-up! By the way, the ADL was quoted extensively in the government's opening papers in court.

I haven't heard from my wife or son and fear they have been convinced by the U.S. attorney prosecutor of my guilt. I feel totally abandoned. What can you and others do? Ingri, I honestly don't know. Obviously, this is going to trial. I may well be convicted, which will be the same as a death sentence at this stage in my life. I am so depressed. I never expected them to come after me like this.

It was Ms. Cassell's flurry of letters and phone calls to sheriffs, judges and congressmen the previous 30 days that pressured the authorities into later relenting and allowing Steele to have visitors and make collect phone calls. However, because of the pending charges, his wife and children still are not allowed to visit.

Ms. Cassell and Banks were finally able to visit him on July 13, at which time Steele told them of the "bone chilling" effect he felt when listening to one of the tapes allegedly recorded secretly by Fairfax. Steele said he became physically ill as he heard "someone else speaking but using my voice."

For more than a decade, scientist George Papcun, by taking just a 10-minute digital recording of anyone's voice, has shown how to clone speech patterns and develop an accurate facsimile.

Dr. Don Nicoloff, a multi-talented musician and audio recording engineer who professes expertise in detecting fraudulent recordings, says that the creation of fictitious audio recordings has become very sophisticated, yet the technologies currently used have limitations.

Those limitations center on the formation of digital samples from an analog recording, and tampering is not difficult to detect.

"Every sound which can be recorded," reports Nicoloff, "including the voices of Edgar Steele and Larry Fairfax, has its own, unique signature. Those unique signatures are called ‘formants.' Formants are distinguishable to a trained ear, especially when they have been manipulated. Formants can also be identified and analyzed as waveforms on a computer screen or oscilloscope. Placing a formant into a given sound field causes the formant to modulate when the sound field has been altered, manipulated, or is absent. Changes in room ambience and/or recording methods are very apparent."

Voice-altering software is sold for as little as $29.95. Voice synthesis software, which can actually create or mimic voice patterns, is significantly more expensive, but is widely available to public and private entities.

Follow Arizona's Lead; Protest Federal Usurpation

Contrary to what you've seen on television, heard on the radio or read in the newspapers, America does not—let me repeat—America does not have an immigration problem.

America has an "illegal" immigration problem—a huge illegal immigration problem. Massive and volatile, this illegal immigration problem has divided America into opposing forces; and the agendas of some of the people involved are highly suspect, especially the agenda of the federal government.

Let's examine this fiasco. Recently, two groups of illegal immigrants were apprehended coming ashore along the southern California coast. One group included 18 people who landed at the Marine Corps's Camp Pendleton. Let me repeat that—at Camp Pendleton. I'm not kidding. The existence of these 18 illegals and their subsequent apprehension were reported by federal authorities. Think about it. It's getting so bad that illegal aliens are landing at our Marine bases.

Another group of 16 illegal aliens was caught coming ashore near Leucadia. They were traveling in a skiff, according to the U.S. Border Patrol.

The Border Patrol confirmed that they detained 18 illegal aliens "walking across Camp Pendleton a few hours after they were dropped off by boat."

By the way, the Border Patrol was informed by Marine officials at Pendleton that the illegals were literally "walking across Camp Pendleton." Illegal aliens entering America through a Marine base . . . if that's not enough to roast your chestnuts, tell me what is. The Marines, no less, phoned the Border Patrol. Geez, that was very thoughtful.

Has our government lost all semblance of common sense? How stupid can we be?

Whatever their various reasons for entering the U.S., these illegal aliens are invaders of our sovereign borders. Am I missing something here? I think not.

As I've often said, this isn't brain surgery or rocket science. It's not nearly as complicated as many of today's permissive "talking heads" want you to believe. It's actually rather simple. Entering the U.S. in such a manner makes them criminals because they enter our country without permission or authority.

This may sound harsh, but they should be thrown out. In addition, anyone aiding and abetting this illegal activity should be fined at least, and even imprisoned for certain activities that may jeopardize American lives.

Having said that, recall that the federal government has filed a lawsuit in federal court in Phoenix, Ariz. to stop Arizona's enforcement of its new anti-illegal immigration law, claiming that the state law (S.B. 1070) is an "unlawful interference with federal authority."

Yes, you read that right—"an unlawful interference with federal authority." The DOJ says that Arizona has "crossed the line," when Arizona is just trying to stop illegal aliens from vandalizing, robbing and threatening the lives of the citizens of Arizona. But the DOJ says it's "our responsibility, not Arizona's."

Really? Well, the DOJ should be deported to Mexico—a nation with strict laws against illegal entry, far stricter than those of the U.S. Now, to really soil your taco, listen to the words of the director of the National Immigration Law Center.

This pro-illegal immigration entity issued a statement through Executive Director Marielena Hincapee: "By the DOJ filing its lawsuit against Arizona, the federal government carried out its duty: it reminded Arizona, and anyone else who attempts to follow suit, that immigration is a federal issue and the states should stay out." In other words, just leave the illegal aliens alone and brush aside the fact that the U.S. government spends billions to defend every country's borders but its own.

So, we now have a Mexican front group telling America and our states what we can and cannot do. This Mexican diva forgot to mention the key element of this debacle: It's still illegal immigration, and that's a crime. States have rights; they're called states' rights. Nowhere in our Constitution does it allow for some foreign-sponsored organization to tell us, or our states, what to do.

Truth is, this is largely about politics—to get that growing Hispanic vote, even though there are many Hispanics who played by the rules to become U.S. citizens and resent the illegal aliens and their front groups.

Where will the politicos stop to gain the huge Hispanic vote? Just think of the millions of new voters the lucky candidate/political party will attract by allowing such criminal activity at our borders to continue.

Is this homeland security? If you believe that, you're somewhere far out in left field. Please tell me, how can we have an Office of Homeland Security when criminals are allowed to sprint across our borders? Some could be murderers, rapists, pedophiles and, yes, even terrorists.

Some will remark that "Traficant has an axe to grind" and "Traficant's a bigot, a racist," on and on. Yeah, I guess those labels keep everybody quiet. No one wants to be labeled. But are we going to let America go to hell?

That's the basic problem, folks. Everyone's afraid to open their mouths, afraid to express their opinion, afraid to lose their social status.

The DOJ should be supporting the state of Arizona, not suing them. What a travesty. But we citizens collectively sit back with our mouths closed and allow a powerful central government to leave our borders unprotected, wide open, with imaginary neon signs flashing, coaxing those wishing to enter America to illegally jump the border.

Anyone wishing to enter America to become a citizen need only do it legally. Is it really too much to ask that we do this like our grandparents and great-grandparents did years ago? Ellis Island wasn't a theme park. It was a place for immigrants to enter the U.S. in an orderly fashion with all the proper health and citizenship regulations in place.

One last thing: Do not be afraid to speak out on this issue. If you are afraid, get a dog. Get back at me!

Reform Bill Passes: Wall Street Loses  

ON JULY 15, THE SENATE PASSED the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (H.R. 4173) by a vote of 60 to 39, sending it to the White House for the president's signature. Later that afternoon, President Obama signed the bill into law, creating a host of new regulations to supposedly rein in the out-of-control speculating and gambling on Wall Street that brought the U.S. economy to its knees in the summer of 2007.

As AFP has reported in past issues, this measure is certainly not perfect. At just under 1,000 pages, its sheer size means there will be regretful provisions buried deep inside. For six months now, the bill has been repeatedly reworked, rewritten and amended. However, despite all of that, it should largely be considered a significant victory for populist Americans and Main Street America.

Even though the "money trust" fielded an army of 1,000 lobbyists, it was still not able to kill reform. That was directly attributable to the anger on Main Street directed at the thieves and liars on Wall Street.

The vote was almost completely along party lines. Only three Republicans crossed over, voting in favor of the measure. They were Scott Brown (Mass.), and Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe (both of Maine). For months, the GOP had been cynically working to kill the bill in the hopes that it would turn the fight into a major fund-raising initiative, pitting Wall Street against the Democrats. Top Republicans had traveled to New York to meet with some of the world's top money men in the hopes that they could get payback for working to kill substantive reforms.

So now that the bill has been signed into law, what does this all mean for Main Street? One of the most important provisions in the law allows for the Government Accountability Office to conduct a one-time audit of the Federal Reserve's emergency lending powers. Following the collapse of the U.S. economy, these arms of the privately owned and controlled U.S. central bank made sweetheart deals not only to domestic banks, but to foreign central banks, also. Critics of the Fed, such as Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), sought a full audit of the top bank, which would include its all-important monetary policy. That never made it into the final bill.

Nonetheless, this unprecedented look at the Fed's books is a positive step toward transparency—something all Americans should recognize as a victory.

Another success is the creation of an independent Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection that has the sole mandate of investigating claims from consumers about abuses in the debt industry. These will include charges of predatory lending on the part of credit card companies, which are notorious for handing out credit cards to the poor and college students and then slapping them with costly fees buried in the fine print.

The measure also sets up new regulations for mortgage brokers, intended to prevent the type of lending that allowed people with little or no income to purchase expensive homes with adjustable-rate mortgages.

On a grander scale, the bill hands federal regulators new powers to break up or "wind down" troubled financial firms that are deemed "too big to fail," something taxpayers could have benefited from in 2007.

What will really hurt Wall Street, though, are new rules that force investment firms and hedge funds to trade so-called exotic derivatives, such as interest rate swaps and collateralized debt obligations, in broad daylight in established clearinghouses under the scrutiny of regulators. No more under-the-table stuff, it seems.

Had this particular rule been in effect, it's likely the housing bubble could have been avoided. The measure would have limited the insane price increases of property in the past decade brought about by the shadow money-lending industry, which was creating money for the loans by selling subprime-mortgage-backed derivatives—called collateralized debt obligations—to investors without informing them of the risks.

Worse still for Wall Street, the top banks will now have to "spin off " or get rid of their divisions that gamble on exotic derivatives. According to an analysis by the third largest financial firm, Citigroup, this is expected to cost some of the top financial firms as much as a quarter of their annual profits—a big hit for greedy investment companies.

Following news of the bill's passage, reports began leaking out that the "money trust" would be seeking to impose new fees on consumers in an effort to make up for the revenue they expect to lose from new rules. The new law will hit Wall Street in the pocketbook, which is clear enough evidence of its value.

Stealth tax On Gold Coins Hits Jan. 1. 2012  

Gold dealers are fuming mad over a new tax on gold coins, which was buried deep inside the Obama healthcare bill, passed last March. Beginning Jan. 1, 2012 small businesses and the self-employed will have to report to the IRS all purchases over $600. Most affected are precious metals dealers, big and small. They say thay will have to hire full time staff to fill out tens of thousands of declarations. According to published reports the IRS expects to cash in on this "uncollected reservoir of income tax," possibly bringing in $17 billion over the next 10 years.

Arizona Immigration Law Neutered

Arizona's highly popular S.B. 1070 law, which makes being an illegal alien in Arizona a state crime, has been partially stopped by a federal injunction. But the overall law took effect July 29 in a state whose residents have been killed, vandalized and otherwise adversely affected by what really is an invasion. According to S.B. 1070's author, state Sen. Russell Pearce, 50 percent of all illegal aliens entering the U.S. cross into Arizona. "Enough is enough," he has often said.

A huge majority of Americans agree. On July 28, federal judge Susan Bolton blocked the most "controversial" parts of Arizona's immigration law from taking effect, "delivering a last minute victory to opponents" according to a Citizens for Legitimate Government (CLG) news bulletin.

So, the law took effect "without the provisions that angered opponents—including sections that required officers to check a person's immigration status while enforcing other laws. The judge also put on hold parts of the law that required immigrants to carry their papers at all times, and made it illegal for undocumented workers to solicit employment in public places," CLG added.

"In addition, the judge blocked officers from making warrantless arrests of suspected illegal immigrants," said America's corporate "ministry of information," the Associated Press (AP).

Sen. Pearce, in his AFP interview for the July 19 & 26, 2010 edition, predicted S.B. 1070 would eventually prevail even if it's fought all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Pearce had previously fielded tough questions on whether or not S.B. 1070's language possibly could require turning over state identification data on all Arizona citizens to the federal government.

"Requiring Arizona law enforcement officials and agencies to determine the immigration status of every person who is arrested burdens lawfully present aliens because their liberty will be restricted while their status is checked," Judge Bolton was quoted by AP as saying. AP also noted: "Federal authorities who are trying to overturn the law have argued that letting the Arizona law stand would create a patchwork of immigration laws nationwide that would needlessly complicate the foreign relations of the United States. Federal lawyers said the law is disrupting U.S. relations with Mexico and other countries and would burden the agency that responds to immigration-status inquiries."

Translation: Maintaining cozy relations with other nations, not serving the 50 states, is the central mission of the federal government. It's time the states that created the federal government when our nation was born received some consideration. Pearce was not immediately available for comment at press time.

Exclusive AFP Interview With the Parents Of Murdered Peace Activist Rachel Corrie

AFP Interview Series host Dave Gahary interviewed Cindy and Craig Corrie, the parents of Rachel Corrie, the Washington state peace activist who was murdered in 2003 when an Israeli Defense Force bulldozer, used to illegally demolish the homes of Palestinians, ran over her. The Corries explain what brought their daughter to Palestine, lend insight into their attempts to carry Rachel's message forward, and provide the latest information on their lawsuit against the Israeli government, along with some shocking details in their fight to get justice for their daughter.

What follows is a substantially abbreviated transcript of the much longer interview which, by the way, can be listened to on an audio CD prepared by AFP.* * * *

AFP: What inspired Rachel to go to Palestine?

Cindy Corrie: Rachel was a college student and was nearly 24 years old when she was killed. When 9-11 happened, she was in school at Evergreen State College; it was a huge event in her life. She went looking for reasons and answers of why this happened. As we moved toward war with Iraq, Rachel became very connected to the local peace movement in Washington State, and that took her to the Middle East to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. She had friends who went to the West Bank and Gaza in 2002 with the International Solidarity Movement, co-founded by Israelis, Palestinians and Americans. The ISM has two qualifications for involvement: You have to believe in freedom for the Palestinian people based on international law and you have to agree to use only non-violent methods of resistance.

Rachel studied Arabic in college and was very good at it. She felt a strong desire to be there because of the impending Iraq war, there was a feeling things would get much worse in Israel and Palestine if we went to war with Iraq. She chose very specifically to go to Rafah in Gaza because she felt like that was where the greatest need was for internationals to come and be in solidarity with.

AFP: Right, and of course most people know what happened, she was protecting a Palestinian family's home from demolition from a D9 bulldozer, some huge Caterpillar armored tank, is that right?

Craig Corrie: Yes, the family was actually two brothers who lived in an upstairs/downstairs duplex, close to the border with Egypt, and Rachel knew that family. When they bought the land and built on it, it was part of a neighborhood, until the Israelis were building a corridor along there and they were smashing down the houses that were along that border and so by the time Rachel got there this house was all that was left. Rachel knew the five children who lived in the house along with the four adults. She would help the kids with their English homework and they would help her with her Arabic. She wrote about sleeping on the floor in the back bedroom, the parents' bedroom with the older brother's children because the children's bedroom was on the side of the house that faced the border and Israeli tanks would come along through what was now the rubble and sometimes they would shoot into the houses. And so the children's bedroom had bullet holes that would go through the bedroom, through the wall between the bedroom and the living room but a third concrete wall would stop the bullets.

And so in the evening they'd take the children out into the back bedroom where, as Rachel wrote about it, they'd all sleep there in a big puddle of blankets. The day she was killed, Rachel was trying to protect some water workers who were trying to repair a well in Rafah and got a call that two bulldozers and a tank were close to the home, and more ISM people were needed down there to position themselves between the bulldozers and the home. She went and joined her friends there and for several hours these bulldozers would push on walls that went around gardens, a destroyed home and a home under construction. Close to 5 o'clock, both bulldozers and the tank retreated towards the border, and what we know now is that they were actually trying to get new orders because the internationals would not disperse and they were interfering with the work, so they were trying to get orders to just go someplace else. And they got some sort of order, we haven't heard the exact language of it, that said "don't let these internationals stop you from your work go back in."

And five minutes later Rachel was killed. The bulldozer went on a run straight towards the home, Rachel stood in front of it, knowing that these children and the family was at home, and this time the bulldozer didn't stop. It proceeded over her, the eyewitnesses, her friends, said as it pushed the dirt. Generally it would come right up to one of the activists and then stop. This time it just kept coming. At the last minute Rachel realized it wasn't stopping and she climbed up on top of the earth it was
pushing and then her leg got caught. The bulldozer then just proceeded until the cab was over where she had been standing and then the eyewitnesses said that without lifting its blade it backed up over her again. She was actually alive for a little bit after her friends reached her. She said "I think my back is broken" but that's the last words that she said.

Afghanistan: We've Said it Before

So now we are told that at least 92,000 documents bearing on America's morbid Afghanistan adventure have been put on the Internet by people who have the strange idea that as taxpayers and blood donors they should know what their alien federal government is doing to them.

What's that? Do you believe America's controlled media keep you up to date on what's happening in Afghanistan—or anywhere else in the world, for that matter? If you do, you can't be a reader of AFP. Because our record shows that right from the start— even before—we have nailed our government's invasion of that sovereign country as another no-win loser, and our intervention as being propelled by shadowy forces very much behind the scenes—and not apt to be mentioned by any of those wise-guy talking heads on television or political actors in Congress, the White House or anywhere else.

As of July 29—the latest date for which figures are available—1,196 American men and boys and girls have been killed in this stinking, needless carnage plus many thousands more who will bear psychological or physical scars for the rest of their lives. And if that's not bad enough, Congress just passed by a vote of 308 to 114 a war spending bill totaling nearly $59 billion. The press characterized this last-minute measure as a "major funding increase" to pay for, among other things, the 30,000 additional U.S. troops Obama is sending to the mountainous country.

And for what? To defend our borders, or otherwise make our country a better place to live in? Far from it. As Gen. Smedley Butler said, war is a racket; and this one is paying big dividends to the airplane, tank, cannon and ammo manufacturers, not to mention the banks and other enterprises that supply the billions of dollars in everything armies and navies need.

The great patriots promoting this debacle can be found on street corners ringing a bell and holding out a tin cup for you to throw your hard-earned dollars into. After waving the flag and singing The Star Spangled Banner for awhile, they will retire to their boardrooms and find some other God-forsaken pesthole they can send patriotic young men to get their empty heads blown off.

Yes, these scum love war, no matter if it be unconstitutional, illegal, genocidal, clearly against the interests of our country and requires the bankrupting of America. Profit is the important thing.

What is truly hard to understand is that no one besides us and a few other relatively small outlets ever looks at what is happening with serious thoughts about the wisdom of it all. No one of importance or serious influence stands back and evaluates what is happening in a broad context. We hear a lot of detail about Afghanistan but nothing else.

Isn't it about time that we, the people, stop this criminal madness? Isn't it time to arrest these profiteers and hang them? If not, how bad will it get before the fed-up taxpayers and potential cannon fodder do just that?

‘Unity' Key to Economic Revival?

ANN ARBOR, Mich.—Just as Wall Street reform legislation that includes a limited audit of the Federal Reserve System was signed into law, a Sustainable Michigan meeting at an Ann Arbor library on July 25, which focused on local control and self-sufficiency, included a presentation on an interesting alternative to using only Federal Reserve notes for purchases.

Ypsilanti resident Bob Van Bemmelen's presentation did not outline a typical local currency like New York's "Ithaca Hours" and others used around the nation, useful though they may be. Taking grassroots monetary reform to new horizons, his explanation of the "Unity" coupon currency revealed that, by all indications, Unity could be a workable implementation of what is known as "social credit."

Social credit is a comprehensive reorientation of the monetary system. It recognizes the need for a non-welfare dividend to be paid to all citizens regardless of their lot in life to supplement their employment earnings and reduce the need for incurring debt and for relentless labor just to live. Designed for maximum freedom and little or no taxation, it shows that money must be created and used democratically by a citizenry to whom the money system belongs—rather than autocratically manipulated by private, central bankers as their exclusive profiteering scam. Such a system could be adopted nationally by a legislature willing to end the age of conquest engineered by today's central banks.

Social credit is based on the work of late Scottish engineer Clifford Hugh Douglas, whose books such as Economic Democracy outlined the profound problems brought on by society's bondage under central banking and the affiliated commercial banking system. This is facilitated by mountains of public and private debt and a profound lack of purchasing power for Main Street America. This prescription for poverty is then extended into every state, county, city and hamlet in the United States and throughout the world.

Van Bemmelen's project is still in the planning stages. However, others have applied the Unity scrip concept in Canada with some measure of success, according to Benoit Ouellet of Quebec, a Pilgrims of Saint Michael (PSM) member and social credit activist who spoke at the Ann Arbor gathering. Ouellet said rural stores in Canada are already accepting up to 100 percent of the Canadian version of Unity for purchases. Ouellet, whose PSM group has a social credit congress in Rougemont, Canada each September, also shared a touching story of a lady whose Canadian home burned down but was rebuilt by neighbors with donated labor and materials, and through the use of Unity to cover some of the expenses.

Van Bemmelen explained to the Ann Arbor audience, as he outlined for AFP earlier in an exclusive interview, that the U.S. version of Unity would start with a sponsoring association that "spends" Unity into circulation interest-free, since no loans or banking are involved. Association members, who may or may not make a small, annual voluntary donation to cover sundry expenses, each receive the Unity coupon-currency regularly, which merchants regard as coupons. But Unity also functions as a currency, paid as a dividend to citizens who do not need a "job" to get it—along the lines of social credit. The dividend in the form of Unity helps fill in the purchasing power missing in today's "money drought" economy.

Advertising on the back of the Unity coupons, which come in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50, covers the printing costs. A list of participating merchants is to be compiled, but since only so many merchants can advertise at any given time, merchants do not have to be advertisers to accept Unity, as Van Bemmelen explained to an interested audience.

Groups such as Sustainable Michigan, which hosted the Ann Arbor meeting, or other nearby groups like Think Local First, which champions buying from locally owned merchants for all needs, could adopt the Unity and become the sponsoring organization, or a new group could be formed. Other Unity groups that may take root in cities across the United States could readily accept Unities from any originating location, enabling the system to expand while maintaining its local character.

Obama: The Manchurian President?

For obvious political reasons, President Obama is trying to cover up his lifelong love affair with communists, but he's failing. He appointed Van Jones to the high White House position of "green czar" to protect us from an imaginary "global warming." when his communist background began to surface (despite a blackout by the mainstream media) Jones quietly left.

Jones remains a self-avowed communist. He was a founder and leader of a communist revolutionary organization -STORM - embracing "a commitment to the fundamental principles of Marxism-Leninism." Jones had said that he had "spent the next years of my life (the 1990s) working with a lot of these people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary."

Jones boasted in an interview that his current environmentalism was a means to fight for a redistribution of wealth as recommended by Karl. Marx. (Numerous scientists in the climate field completely reject the notion of man-made "global warming," pointing out the natural warming and cooling that occur in weather cycles throughout the history of the Earth.)

But "greening "is strongly supported by the Bilderberg group, whose tool and fool is Obama, as a means of "Europeanizing" America. This means raising taxes above 50 percent for all Americans except those who qualify for taxpayer-funded incomes and health services, including up to 20 million illegal aliens.

Victor Thorn's book, Frontman, names other Obama buddies with communist links, including David Axelrod, Valarie Jarrett and terrorist Bill Ayers who actually instigated bombings on U.S. soil. It was Ayers who stood at Obama's side in 1996 when the future president announced his candidacy for the Illinois State Senate. When running for president in 2008, Obama tried to hide the association, saying they were mere street boys in Chicago. Now, predictably, Ayers is a college professor in Illinois.*

Unfortunately, communists have been infiltrating the U.S. government since the 1930s, as by the late Sen Joseph McCarthy (RR-Wisc.) in the 1950s. Communist spy Alger Hiss, the No. 2 man in the U.S. State Department under President Franklin Roosevelt, had the president's ear at the Yalta Conference in 1945, resulting in the abandonment of Eastern Europe to the Soviet Union and the rise of the Iron Curtain. But never before has infiltration been as evident as it is now.

Good Legislation Gone Bad  

What was once decent legislation to address the power that corporations, unions and other groups play in manipulating elections has now become mired in political backroom dealings, with Republican and Democratic senators battling it out to limit the impact of new regulations on their wealthy supporters.

Called the Disclose Act (H.R. 5175), the bill was intended to counter a recent high-court ruling (Citizens United vs FEC) that says corporations have the same rights as individual citizens when it comes to politics and elections. It would have forced all corporations, unions and organizations to disclose when they are spending money on political candidates or issues.

The House-passed legislation had tempered the bill by exempting organizations like unions that use money from dues in political campaigns. This language, however, was dumped from the Senate version.

If it eventually passes the Senate, it will be sent back to committee to work our a compromise.

"While the bill is not perfect, the clear goal remains to provide the American people with the information they need about wherever the money comes from before they vote in November," Lisa Gilbert, from Public Interest Research Group (PIRG), told a Capitol Hill newspaper, PIRG is a nonprofit watchdog group that monitors the influence of corporations and other organizations in American politics.

Congress Gives ‘Okay' to Attack Iran

A Republican congressman recently introduced legislation (H. Res. 1553) in the House that "green lights" an Israeli attack on Iran. The bill was introduced on July 22 by Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas). Already, 46 congressmen - nearly one-third of all the Republicans in Congress - have signed on to cosponsor the bellicose bill.

If that's not bad enough, these great "conservative" legislators also volunteered American taxpayers to help Israel by continuing to pay economic and military aid to that provocative little Middle Eastern country - at a time when millions of Americans lost their unemployment assistance for months because Republicans wanted to pretend they are fiscally responsible.

It is clear to anyone who actually reads the bill that this was obviously written by one of the many powerful pro-Israel lobbying groups in Washington and handed to Gohmert, who represents Texas's first district. Even though Gohmert, a native Texan, is a Southern Baptist, it's doubtful even he would have drafted legislation so ridiculous:

Whereas with the dawn of modern Zionism, the national liberation movement of the Jewish people, some 150 years ago, the Jewish people determined to return to their homeland in the Land of Israel from the lands of their dispersion;

Whereas in 1922, the League of Nations mandated that the Jewish people were the legal sovereigns over the Land of Israel and that legal mandate has never been superseded;

Whereas in the aftermath of the Nazi-led Holocaust from 1933 to 1945, in which the Germans and their collaborators murdered 6,000,000 Jewish people in a premeditated act of genocide, the international commuity recognized that the Jewish state, built by Jewish pioneers must gain its independence from Great Britain.

Gohmert goes on to document the many times Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said over the years that he does not like Israel and would like to see the Israeli government disappear into the sands of time.

Gohmert then condemns Iran, giving the go-ahead for Israel to "use military force if no other peaceful solution can be found within a reasonable time."

This bill is dangerous and is paving the way for war with Iran. Everyone knows that Washington will not stand by if Israel decides to attack Iran on its own. The United States is broke and cannot afford another disastrous no-win war. The Republican legislators all know this, yet they keep up the drumbeat for war.

Hot Lead and Rumors Fly Along Mexican Border

Recent broad-daylight shootouts between rival drug gangs as well as law enforcement have terrified the citizenry of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico as well as those across the border in Laredo, Texas.

Four months ago, members of the Zetas Mexican drug gang split with the Gulf cartel after a Zetas leader was allegedly assassinated by one of the Gulf members. When the cartel refused to turn over the guilty party, the Zetas extracted retribution by kidnapping 16 Gulf members, and the war was on.

The Zetas then abandoned their stronghold in Reynosa, Mexico and moved west to Nuevo Laredo with a private army estimated by Mexican authorities to be in excess of 1,000. Large-scale shootouts occurred between the two outlaw groups and Mexican law enforcement in April and again in June - after a Border Patrol agent shot and killed a drug runner who was carrying on of five bundles totaling 260 pounds of marijuana on April 2.

The Zetas are reported to be skilled killers initially trained by United States Special Operations forces to combat the drug cartels within Mexico. Authorities say that as the drug war heated up, the Zetas saw more money in working within the drug business and joined up with the Gulf Cartel.

Almost none of this has been reported in America's conventional media, but on July 22, another gun battle ensued in Nuevo Laredo when the Zetas blocked off intersections with vehicles and flung fragmentation grenades in an attack on Mexican law enforcement. This was finally covered by The Houston Chronicle. When the smoke cleared, 12 were reported killed and 21 wounded in the melee that paralyzed both sides of the border. American citizens on the Texas side of the border were warned to stay in their homes to avoid being hit by any stray bullets.

Laredo police spokesman Joe Baeza said there was no spillover violence.

"We didn't have any incidents on the American side," said Baeza. "It's hard for people to understand who don't live here," he added. "They're not Vikings, they're not going to invade us, it doesn't work that way.

However, by only the next day, rumors were flying and allegedly confirmed by two annymous Laredo police officers that the Zetas had crossed the Rio Grande and chased away two ranch families outside of Laredo and had commandeered their homes.

AFP's call to the Laredo Police Department produced no confirmation, only "the county sheriff's office is handling that," and provided us with the phone number. The sheriff's office was somewhat evasive, neither confirming nor denying the story, saying that they would include us in a press release after they had checked out the ranches.

However, this was already 72 hours after the intital story broke, which was plenty of time for the sheriff to ride to the ranches and back - even by horseback.

At press time, AFP has not seen any press releases from the Webb County Sheriff's office, but Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas, a former FBI agent, claims the rumor is not true.

Some observers point out that if the story does prove to be true, it would destroy any hope for Obama's federal lawsuit against Arizona.

Can Obama Stop the ‘Alien Invasion'?

Does Barack Obama really want to take control of and stop the invading illegal aliens at the border. Well,l a lot of the bofeder jumpers' kin helped vote him into the white House, and he knows that if he wants to somehow stay there for another term, he is going to have to do some serious apologiizing to the Latino community at some point in the future even for his trifling effort of recently sending 1,500 weekend-army men to that troubled part of the country.

Even if Obama had the will to really go after the problems at the border by sending 50,000 National guardsmen there, he would be hard pressed to scrape up 50,000 because many of them are indirectly serving Israel in the Middle East, fighting and getting killed in a war that none of them understands, in terms of exactly why in Hades they are there. But let's assume Obama is willing to do whatever it takes, and that he is able to find enough warm bodies in the military to carry it out.

He would still fail.

He would fail because the illegal immigration problem isn't just at the border. The illegal immigration permeates our entire society.

The new illegal aliens now trying to get in are aided by the knowledge of those who are trying for the second or third or 58th time to get in, and by those who have made it in and been caught and thrown out, again and again. The illegals are aided, when they do make it into the country, by a huge support network of legal and illegal Latinos and sympathizers not only in the Southwest, but all over the United States.

The illegal immigration problem is a product of white liberals and Latinos who are American citizens, who work tirelessly within the system to make it easier for the invaders to get into the U.S. and to get jobs or welfare benefits and stay here, though Hispanic-American groups such as You Don't Speak for Me consist of citizen-Hispanics who played by the rules of U.S. citizenship and resent the actions of their brethren to enter illegally.

White liberals fight for a cause that can only result ultimately in the overwhelming of their own kind.

The illegal immigration problem, at root, is a worldview problem; it exists only because too many cannot adequately address such problems as the illegal immigration issue. These various worldviews cannot adequately address other important issues either, such as the Jewish monopoly of the worlds of media and of finance. Nor can it adequately addressissues such as adoption of non-white children by white parents, interracial marriage and homosexuality.

What we need in order to adequately address the illegal immigration issue is a new worldview, a worldview based on facts - the solid facts of biology and race. With such a worldview as a starting point, it becomes possible to meet all the challenges our race no faces, not just the ones that flare up in the controlled media from time to time, like illegal immigration.

The ‘Maywoodization' of America Continues

It is easy to predict the future of America if changes are not forced against the will of the present political establishment. The future is already here in Maywood, Calif., which has a 97 percent Hispanic population, but where 40 percent are illegal aliens. the city was declared a "sanctuary zone" for illegals this year; the drunk-driving checkpoints were discontinued because too many aliens were caught without licenses. The Mexican flag was posted on top of the post office, to the elation of much of the population, half of whom never finished the ninth grade. The city is near bankruptcy, it's presently eliminating public employees, and services are contracted out to neighboring cities and to the county.

Corruption and lawlessness prevail in this "sanctuary" of third-world racial politics, one out of thousands Americans are presently forced to support with our tax dollars. The process of "Maywoodization" took 10 short years to turn Maywood from a Caucasian (European) majority in 1970 to a "Hispanic" majority by 1980. The former population was almost completely dissolved, proving that successful coexistence between these two racial groups is only a liberal dream.

The tea party movement and the true right are radicalized by the realization of the above process while the full weight of the federal government and the two-party system is promoting it. The struggle is not only for the soul, but also for the simple physical existence of America. This struggle cannot be limited by the stifling guidelines of political correctness.

This political correctness is everywhere. Mark Williams is a tea party leader in the eyes of The New York Daily News for calling Obama an "Indonesian Muslim turned welfare thug." And Jason "J.T." Ready of Arizona is called every name in the book for organizing armed patrols along the border, south of Phoenix. Because of the gun laws of the state he is breaking no laws, and he is ready to go home. He ways: "If they don't want my people out there then there's an easy way to send us home: Secure the border."

History is full of examples where one racial element was displaced by another. The white population of Europe was under constant pressure from the Iberian Peninsula to the Balkans and Eastern Europe for untold centuries. The unique twist in American situation is that the host nation was softened up by internal elements to the point where the majority is incapable of realizing the coming disaster. Surely, a new approach is called for where actual control is handed over to the remaining healthy, productive segment of this society. The power behind the Federal Reserve cannot by easily dislodged by well-mitigated political movements. The average life expectancy of the rare politician who questions the transnational bankers' "right" to run this planet seems far below the life expectancy of those in control.

In my opinion, the only way out seems to be the creation of an elite voter group that cannot be scared, corrupted or compromised - a group that can overrule any politician or party by using the internet to make fast, critical decisions. A fully transparent, tested and capable voter group must be raised with the full exclusion of lawyers and professional politicians. A group where membership is achieved by a point system, where points are given for productive lifestyle, family status, age, education, character, public service, a basic knowledge of major issues and identification with the U.S. Constitution. We are talking about matching the best values of democracy with the republican spirit against a deeply entrenched and hopelessly degenerated structure that is pulling all of us under the water.

Immigration Laws No Laughing Matter

Certainly, the state of illegal immigration in the United States is no laughing matter. However, this humorous look at immigration policies around the world relative to the United States was submitted by AFP supporter Frank Serene.

Let me see if I got this right: If you cross the North Korean border illegally, you get 12 years hard labor. If you cross the Iranian border illegally, you are detained indefinitely. If you cross the Afghan border illegally, you get shot. If you cross the Saudi Arabian border illegally, you will be jailed. If you cross the Chinese border illegally, you may never be heard from again. If you cross the Venezuelan border illegally, you will be branded a spy, and your fate sealed. If you cross the Cuban border illegally, you will be thrown into political prison to rot.

But if you cross the U.S. border illegally you get: a job, a drivers license, a Social Security card, Welfare, food stamps, credit cards, subsidized rent or a loan to buy a house, free education, free healthcare, a lobbyist in Washington, billions of dollars worth of public documents printed in your language and the right to carry your country's flag while you protest that you don't get enough respect.

I just wanted to make sure I had a firm grasp on the situation.....

CENSORED: Iraqis Slaughtered With Exotic Weapons

A British scientist claims the American military's use of depleted uranium (DU) weapons in the Iraqi town of Fallujah in 2004 was the likely cause of radiation-type illnesses on a scale higher than what was found after atom bombs exploded in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.

Fallujah received the jmost sustained bombardment of any Iraqi city following th killing of four contractors in April 2004. Eight months after their deaths, the city was surrounded by U.S. Marines in what was called Operation Phantom Fury.

For a month, Fallujah was a free-fire zone, and the outcome was an unknown number of civilians dead and destruction of 36,000 homes, 60 schools and 65 mosques. The most shocking part of the operation was that white phosphorus and DU munitions were used. So, too, were weapons that have yet to be identified.

The effects of the operation have been outlined in a report by international scientists and doctors called "Cancer, Infant Mortality and birth-Sex Ratio in Fallujah, Iraq 2005-2009."

Investigators found "extraordinary" levels of radiation sickness, cancers and deformities in babies. One of the authors of the report, Dr. Chris Busby, a British expert in molecular biosciences, says it was difficult to pin down the exact causes of the illnesses, but the evidence indicated the population has been subjected to "some major mutagenic exposure" during the 2004 bombardment. His hypothesis was that DU was one of the causes, and he worried about the effects of substances like white phosphorus.

The reason his theory would make sense is the incontrovertible evidence of the use of shells and bullets that penetrated walls in fallujah as if they wer cutting through butter.

That is not possible with regular lead ammunition, which lacks the density of DU munitions.

DU is derived from spent nuclear furl and was declared illegal for use against civilian targets by the International Criminal Court in The Hague in 1996. Medical studies have shown uranium often remains in the bodies of people injured by DU weapons. Blood and cells become contaminated, resulting in high radiation levels, which are passed by parents to their newborns. DU munitions can also result in the long-term contamination of an area in which the rounds are exploded. In 2009, British and Iraqi doctors petitioned the UN for an inquiry into the medical effects of the Fallujah bombardment, but the petition was ignored.

For its part, the Pentagon has admitted white phosphorus was used in Fallujah but has denied DU munitions were on the battlefield. It has also dismissed calls for an inquiry into the medical effects of its Fallujah operation. It has not been alone in trying to kill the medical story.

The Iraqi government advised John Simpson, one of the BBC's senior reporters, not to go to Fallujah in April this year, claiming the medical evidence about radiation illnesses had been concocted by terrorists.

The government's desire to bury the story relates to the fact Fallujah was a major Sunni Muslim city, and the present government is made up mostly of Shiites. It does not want Sunnis demanding to know why Iraq's Shiite rulers have never confronted Washington about the slaughter in Fallujah.

The shocking news that has emerged about Fallujah should not surprise anyone. In 2004 and 2005, AFP informed readers about the true nature of the Fallujah bombardment and the recent Israeli bombardment of Gaza. Years from now, when doctors carry out a similar study in Gaza, they may well find higher levels of radiation among the civilian population, because the Israeli military not only used large quantities of white phosphorus on civilian targets in Gaza but also DU munitions, including artillery shells.

Doctors in Gaza complained they had to treat horrific wounds in men, women and children, which had been caused by some new kind of weapon. Given the fact America supplies Israel with white Phosphorus and DU munitions, it is possible the new weapon used in Gaza was employed in Fallujah in 2004. From a purely military standpoint, the similarity in both operations is hard to avoid. Both were civilian centers treated as free-fire zones, and reports later emerged about the use of DU munitions and new unknown weapons that produced horrific injuries.

One must ot forget the 2006 Israeli bombardment of Lebanon and the use of white phosphorus, DU munitions and cluster bombs, all supplied by the Pentagon.

From that event, we may see evidence of radiation sickness in the years ahead. And one cannot dismiss the real possibility DU munitions and "new weapons" have been used in Afghanistan. One thing is certain - the Pentagon will never tell us the truth.

Borrowing for Prosperity - Only in America

Do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions, while "healthy" people can buy cigarettes at the front. Do banks leave vault doors open, but chain their pens to their pens to their counter tops. Do people order double cheeseburgers, large serving of fries and a diet drink. Do people leave $80,000 cars in their driveway and leave useless junk in their garage. Do stores sell hot dogs in packages of 10, and hot dog buns in packages of eight. Do banks have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering for the blind.

We don't recognize such mind-twisters until they are pointed out to us. The world around us can be extremely confusing. Did you ever wonder about any of the following:

* Why psychics don't win the lottery?
* Why doctors call what they do their "practice"?
* Why manufacturers make lemon juice with artificial flavoring, but dishwasher soap with real lemons?
* Why Noah on the ark didn't swat those two mosquitoes?
* Why prison physicians sterilize the needles?
* Why the whole airplane isn't made out of the stuff they use to build those indestructible "black boxes"?
* Why we call the slowest traffic of the day the "rush" hour?
* And if flying is so safe, why an airport is called a "terminal"?

If that's not enough to make you think of even more profundities, check these out:

* If "con" is the opposite of "pro" is "Congress" the opposite of "progress"?
* Why is the person who invest all your money called a "broker"?

Who is the ultimate "broker in America? If you don't know, it's Ben Bernanke, Chairman of the Federal reserve Board. When he hiccups, stock plunge. The truth is Bernanke is doing a lot more than just hiccupping, and he is back at it again.

America is leterally bankrupt. Our national debt is closing in on "14 tr-tr-tr-trillion dollars, folks. Our annual budget deficit has already cleard $1 trillion, and that's only through June.

Yet Bernanke is recommending more government spending. Unbelievably, he actually said that Congress should increase government spending now to "jump start a sputtering economy."

If that's not enough to boil your bourbon, Bernanke added that "we can then take steps to reduce our ballooning, massive federal deficit in a couple years."

Where did this guy go to school, Bankrupt University? The only way to increase government spending is to enlarge the already massive national debt.

Does bernanke realize that our 2010 budget deficit is already over $1 trillion, and there's still several months left? Evidently, Bernanke is somehow comfortable with a $1.5 trillion, single-year deficit for a nation already burdened with a $14 trillion national debt.

This announcement means that our economic situation is not as good as the mainstream media is proclaiming. This economy is not doing well at all. There's an old saying: "When you hold it to your nosey, it doesn't smell rosy."

Mr. Bernanke, with advice like yours, we're lucky to still have some jobs and still "own" some property.

Times have gotten tough, so people have cut back on spending. This economic phenomenon has actually lowered some prices but, for every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction. In this case, businesses that cut prices lose revenue and eventually get rid of workers. The downward economic spiral keeps going and going.

Bottom line: Only in America can the head of our monetary system make recommendations that our bankrupt government should borrow more money. It's not as if the government prints its own interest-free cash as it should, without needing the "Federal" Reserve. That would make sense, but instead the government borrows from its banking masters at interest.

There's nothing wrong with spending, when you can afford it. However, one who has to borrow to spend is not one who should be spending.

Immigration Time Bomb Ticking

A human time bomb is ready to explode across America, according to Frosty Wooldridge, who maintains that an estimated influx of 100 million more immigrants into this country would create vast hordes of marauders who will do anything to obtain food, water and other resources.

During a July 29 interview with this writer, the author of America on the Brink asked, "Name one advantage of adding 100 million more people to the United States within the span of 25 years. There isn't any. The result will be increased gridlock, a rise in toxic air pollution, animal extinctions, water wars and a dramatically lower standard of living."

Wooldridge cites demographic studies and U.S. Census Bureau data as the source of his immigration estimates.

One glaring example of how lives are already being negatively impacted by illegal immigration is seen in California, where, according to Wooldridge, processed sewer water is being turned into tap water. The Southwest cannot treat and deliver enough water suitable for human use. This could lead to mass rationing, skyrocketing costs and confrontations between different classes and ethnic groups, he also said.

Wooldridge describes a proliferation of Hispanic colonias, or neighborhoods, that typically have no electricity, roads, sewers or sanitation. In essence, Mexican ghettos with squalid living conditions are being transported north of the border.

He compares this state of impoverishment to India's "population bomb" where the lack of sewer treatment facilities and clean water lead to dysentery, diarrhea outbreaks and people using rivers and streams as toilets.

The Ganges River abounds with raw sewage, which has created a dead zone of up to 20,000 square miles where no marine or animal life can survive.

Wooldridge asserts that a smaller version of this dead zone already exists on the Mississippi River. Further, he believes that unchecked development and unabated immigration into the United States is causing the extinction of 250 different animal species a year.

Of the 100 million immigrants who may flood into America within the next two decades, assuming there are no major immigration policy changes, 70 percent will possess no better than a fourth-grade education.

Wooldridge puts this matter into perspective. "One aspect of Third World countries that doesn't allow them to succeed is illiteracy," said Wooldridge. "We're going to be burdened with 70 million newcomers who can't read or write, and have no desire to assimilate into American culture."

They will also carry diseases such as tuberculosis, leprosy, hepatitis and head lice. Since Mexico and other Latin American countries in most instances cannot adequately feed or employ their citizens, they actively encourage an exodus into the United States.

Wooldridge predicts that our nation will hit the half-billion population mark by 2060. As a result, in the author's view, "We're degrading the planet so fast that it can't recover. People like the Bilderbergers are promoting a scorched-earth policy, and at some point we will witness a mass human die-off."

He continued, "Prior to reaching this tipping point, the consequences of our multi-cultural society will lead to increased conflicts. . . . What happens when there's no food, water or fuel? We're going to see anarchy and ethnic tribal fights."

Concluding this thought, Wooldridge opined, "In the future, will the civil part of civilization survive? We're on a collision course with ourselves once we run out of resources. This overpopulation crisis is the most important problem facing us in the 21st century."

Our addiction to petroleum poses another problem. Wooldridge calculates that we would have to manufacture 91 million solar panels every year for 50 years to equal the amount of oil we burn in one year. We would have to construct 32,500 wind turbines every year to produce the same energy derived from oil.

When asked about the greedy elitists pushing these unsustainable programs, Wooldridge responded, "In their minds, they won't be touched by the ensuing chaos that results from relentlessly destroying the environment. They'll escape to their well-maintained high mountain retreats. Kings have always stayed hidden in castles while their serfs fought the wars."

Despite this dramatic impact to our standard of living, Wooldridge also blames the mainstream media for "suppressing, ignoring, evading and avoiding the subject of population overload at all costs."

Past over-population predictions by noted alarmist author Paul Erlich, which foresaw mass starvation and other calamities by the 1970s and 1980s, did not come true. He was ahead of his time.

Still, Wooldridge stresses that the urgency of this situation cannot be denied. "We don't have the water, we don't have the resources and we don't have the food . . . the fate of our civilization hangs in the balance. . . .If illegal immigration [open migration] isn't stopped now, our future is one of starvation, loss of freedoms and armed guards on the streets to prevent uprisings."

To reiterate Wooldridge's original premise, each of us must ask: will our quality of life be bolstered by potentially adding another 100 million Third World immigrants within the span of two decades?

Influential Newsweek Magazine Sold for $1 To CFR's Super-Rich, Pro-Israel Harman Couple

Newsweek magazine is now the property of Zionist billionaire Sidney Harman and his wife Jane—a fervent advocate for the interests of Israel—who (rather than serving in Congress as she does) should instead be serving time in prison for influence peddling and conspiracy to obstruct justice on behalf of two Washington operatives for AIPAC, the powerful lobby for Israel.

On Aug. 2, the Washington Post Company—publisher of the powerful but weakened daily and longtime owner of Newsweek—announced the sale of the weekly magazine to the Harmans. Faltering badly in recent years, with massive losses and declining circulation, Newsweek was on the auction block for only $2 million, but according to reports, the Harmans grabbed the magazine for the exchange of virtually no money—a token payment of $1.

Glowing media reports say the 91-year-old Sidney Harman—who gained his fortune in electronics and helped bankroll his much younger wife's political ambitions—now wants to put his money toward the nation's welfare by keeping Newsweek alive and ensuring its continuing role in educating the public and perpetuating free and open debate on issues of importance. Or so they say.

In fact, this high-level business deal will make no difference insofar as the editorial content of Newsweek. If anything, Newsweek may well become even more openly and stridently on the side of the Zionist agenda. This has happened before when Zionist business tycoons (with no publishing background) grabbed control of other mainstream publishing ventures. For example, when real estate manipulator Sam Zell assumed command of The Chicago Tribune and The Los Angeles Times and when Mort Zuckerman, another land baron, seized ownership of U.S. News and World Report and The New York Daily News.

Although the Meyer-Graham family of Washington is traditionally "known" to the public as the power behind the Washington Post-Newsweek combine, the truth is that the company is ultimately another American front for the interests of the Rothschild dynasty. Rothschild-related financial interests on American soil—including famed Nebraska-based billionaire money man Warren Buffet primary among them—hold substantial interests in the Post-Newsweek operation, making it anything but the "family-owned" enterprise it has often been portrayed.

Now Newsweek falls into the hands of the Harmans, who, by the way, are both members of the Council on Foreign Relations, the New York-based affiliate of the London-based Royal Institute of International Affairs, which is the foreign policy arm of the Rothschild empire.

That Jane Harman should now be a major media force is disturbing to those who value both national security and individual rights. Mrs. Harman's corrupt behind-the-scenes activity on behalf of Israel and its American operations was discovered in 2006 when Mrs. Harman—a strong supporter of the warrantless wiretaps program of the Bush administration—was overheard speaking on the telephone with a known Israeli spy operating in the U.S. whose phone was being tapped by the National Security Agency. The spy's identity has never been made public.

Over the wiretap, Harman was heard agreeing with the Israeli agent to use her influence as a member of Congress to try to scuttle the then-standing federal criminal indictment of two former AIPAC officials charged with illicitly procuring American defense secrets on behalf of Israel.

According to reports—which were quickly brushed away by the mainstream media—the Israeli operative promised Harman that the Jewish lobby would reward her for her efforts on behalf of the accused traitors by pushing then-House Minority Leader (now Speaker) Nancy Pelosi to appoint Harman as chair of the House Intelligence Committee. This would have been a lucrative plum for Harman and her friends in Israel.

Indicating clearly that Mrs. Harman knew she was engaged in influence peddling and obstruction of justice (not to mention aiding and abetting in the illicit trade in data relating to U.S. national security), Harman was heard by the NSA telling her telephonic co-conspirator, "This conversation doesn't exist."

Harman was investigated by the CIA for her intrigues, but the Bush administration's then-Attorney General Alberto Gonzales pressured the CIA to back off; the administration valued Harman's support for the warrantless wiretaps of U.S. citizens.

In the end, the indictment against AIPAC's Steve Rosen and Keith Weissman was dropped—much to the consternation of loyal American FBI agents who had accumulated the data that led to the two men being charged and to the outrage of the Justice Department attorneys who had stewarded the indictment through the federal grand jury process. But Harman didn't get the chairmanship of the committee. She was clearly "too hot to handle."

Harman and her defenders decry the allegations against the billionaire congresswoman. But all of the information pinpoints Mrs. Harman as someone who definitely shouldn't be in Congress, let alone among the last who should have any control over one of America's most influential weekly magazines.

Payoffs for Judges, Prosecutors Is Legal by Statute

Anyone who has ever attended an Internal Revenue Service court case likely noticed the biased attitude of the presiding judge in favor of the prosecution. Perhaps, though, only those of us who have sat in courtrooms, in every section of the country, can attest to this unwavering pattern of unfairness. Whatever happened to the judge's impartial role of "referee"?

Federal statutes show how and why U.S. law encourages prosecutorial and judicial conflicts of interest, non-neutrality, non-impartiality and corruption of justice in the federal courts. (See page 13 for portions of 5 USC 4502 through 4504 from the United States Code.)

How can the federal judiciary be independent and impartial when the law permits the federal government to secretly award judges up to $25,000 in undisclosed secret "cash awards," and to privately, secretly and "erroneously" overpay them up to $10,000, and "waive" these erroneous overpayments?

How can any defendant be found innocent or "guilty beyond a reasonable doubt" when such statutory "cash award" provisions on their face create an irrefutable, behind-the-scenes incentive for the prosecution? These questions and others must be answered by the U.S. District Court in Portland, Oregon following a lawsuit naming multiple defendants in the Department of Justice including Judge Anna J. Brown, who presided over a trial of "conspiracy to impede the IRS" last November.

Defendant Roy Bendshadler's attorney Nancy Bergeson had complained of suspected "jury tampering" and was found strangled to death in her Portland home the next day. Her cause of death was at first passed off as "natural causes" until a second medical examiner changed it to homicide. The murder is unsolved.

The 94-page action was filed by Michael Sean Mungovan, one of five convicted in the above 2009 case. Mungovan was sentenced to four years in prison on July 28. This was an hour after he had served Judge Brown with a copy of the suit, which should have legally restricted her from any sentencing action over him until it was resolved, according to Mungovan.

None of this is new to the IRS. Its manual on pages 1,229 to 1,291 (Delegation Orders of January 17, 1983) outlines the IRS system of monetary awards "of up to and including $5,000, for any one individual employee or group of employees, in his/her immediate office, including field employees, engaged in National Office projects; and contributions of employees of other government agencies and armed forces members. "This would include U.S. District Court judges and U.S. attorneys.

The Mungovan suit, composed by Utah lawyer Dr. Dale Livingston, explains, "These awards include secret cash awards. They are not limited as to the number of awards that may be awarded to any one person or group. There is no limitation placed upon any award. Any person or group of persons can be awarded this money, including: U.S. attorneys, federal judges, the president of the United States or anyone else for that matter."

Livingston added: "The awards may be given to the same person or group, each minute, each hour, every day, every week, every month, every year or not at all. In other words, the U.S. government and the alleged Internal Revenue Service . . . have a perfectly legal (not lawful) system of bribery. The bribery works against the American people . . . when they expect impartial justice, and there is no proof on the record to the contrary."

The murder of attorney Bergeson, who only threatened to initiate an investigation into what she believed to have been a stacked jury, sends the warning that Mungovan, by forcing the issue, may have placed a much larger target on his back.

Lack of space here prevents this writer's attempt to list all the negative ramifications of such a surreptitious program posing as "justice for all," but let us consider for a moment a few of the many dubious convictions from the recent decades reported in AFP and The Spotlight over the years.

How much money did Judge Paul Benson receive for railroading Yori Kahl and Scott Faul in 1983? There was no evidence these young men ever fired a shot in the melee in Medina, North Dakota, where Yori's father, Gordon, admitted shooting U.S. Marshal Ken Muir in self-defense. Later it was learned this was the same judge that had sent away Leonard Peltier of Wounded Knee fame for life, with no evidence he had killed the two FBI agents found dead after the 1973 shootout. Are judges paid more for high-profile cases?

How about Judge Walter Smith of Waco, Texas? We cannot imagine how many bucks he may have received after sending away 11 Branch Davidian Church members, who had been acquitted by a jury of capital crimes in 1994, not long after the Waco massacre of men, women and children by federal agents and troops. These 11 churchgoers received a total of 240 years. These outrageous maximum sentences for merely carrying a firearm were applied against people who had not even fired a shot in self-defense at the onrushing U.S. marshals, U.S. military Special Forces soldiers and other federal gunmen.

Then there were the Montana Freemen, who were labeled as "separatist outlaws." In 1996 they were working to expose the banking fraud of the Federal Reserve System. Many of these men are still in federal prison, yet they never harmed anyone.

Cash incentives paid for convictions help us understand not only what has happened in the past, but also what we can expect to see in the future.

Author Says Evidence Proves Pro Sports Rigged

The American landscape is littered with crooked politicians, corrupt judges, corporate conmen, sleazy televangelists and stolen elections. Could the manipulation of professional sports, including the National Football League (NFL), also be added to this list? Oh, say it ain't so, Joe.

During a July 21 interview, Brian Tuohy, author of The Fix Is In, told this writer: "In a May 20 NFL court case concerning the New England Patriots ‘Spygate' scandal, Sr. U.S. Circuit Judge Robert E. Cowen ruled that, at best, tickets to a football game don't come with the promise that the contest will be a fair one. Fans only have the legal right to see a game, and nothing more. The league doesn't have to follow any certain rules or laws regarding the outcome of these games."

This decision arose because the NFL is a self-contained entity that exists without any meaningful oversight from any outside body looking over its shoulder.

The NFL is a not-for-profit corporation, a 501(c)6 business "league," that pulls in nearly $8 billion annually and pays its head, who is called a "commissioner," $11 million a year.

Since television networks and advertisers funnel millions of dollars into sporting events, each league is acutely aware that they have to keep their "show business product" filled with intrigue to boost ratings.

Tuohy concedes that the vast majority of games are legitimate, but if a good storyline develops, similar to a soap opera or professional wrestling, the league will help this drama along.

One way to shave points or alter an outcome is via the referees. Tuohy notes that since these officials are employees of each league, it's not considered bribery, or even an illegality, if a referee does or doesn't make a certain call. They're nothing more than paid company men following a script.

To prevent whistleblowers, the NFL instituted a profit-sharing program where every team in the league, even the worst ones, benefits as more money is generated.

They're all in the same boat, and no one wants to poison the message by saying specific games are fixed. In addition, Tuohy points out that many NFL team owners have organized-crime backgrounds and direct connections to gambling outfits.

With huge amounts of money at stake, the situation becomes political. Similar to congressmen who've been compromised, players with gambling problems, drug arrests or other legal entanglements become much more vulnerable to the pressures of throwing a game. If a quarterback is faced with prison time, losing millions in endorsements or being banished by the league for illegal steroid use, tossing a few deliberate interceptions is a small price to pay.

To bolster his argument, Tuohy provides examples. After Super Bowl III where Joe Namath became a superstar, Colts lineman Bubba Smith snapped, "The game was set up for the Jets to win."

Tuohy cites other sports venues, too Racecar driver Tony Stewart admitted in 2007: "It's like playing God. [NASCAR] can almost dictate the race instead of the drivers doing it. . . . I don't know that they've run a fair race all year."

Then there's NBA referee Tim Donaghy, who provided inside information to gamblers, allowing them an 80 percent accuracy rate in predicting the outcome of games. Like dishonest Wall Street investment bankers, Donaghy naturally received financial compensation for his secretive revelations.

One other parallel to the corporate-political world exists. Akin to a docile White House press corps, Tuohy asserts that the sports media is afraid to expose offending players or coaches because the reporters would be blackballed by the league. It's well known that one of the largest sports networks, ESPN, doesn't engage in investigative journalism because the network would potentially lose millions in revenue if spectators sensed that the Super Bowl and World Series were rigged.

The longer this writer spoke with Tuohy, the clearer it became that the realm of political conspiracies and fixed sporting events were closely related. Whereas Fox News or NBC won't reveal the truth about 9-11, Tuohy is thwarted by corrupt owners and monolithic sports departments, who all circle their wagons to keep their secrets secret.

And don't forget Council on Foreign Relations man George Mitchell appearing out of nowhere more than once in recent years to investigate steroid use in professional sports. That is a rather curious shifting of gears from the CFR—the premier private outlet for directing U.S. foreign policy and supplying key personnel for government policy-making jobs—to professional sports.

When asked if he faced any repercussions regarding his book, Tuohy explained: "I think I'm being censored by the sports media. After interviewing me, ESPN refused to publish any articles about sports conspiracies. Plus, they've banned me from their big radio networks and sports talk shows."

Sensible Congressmen Proposing U.S. Troops Get Out of Pakistan  

In late July Reps. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) and Ron Paul (R-Texas) introduced legislation that calls on the White House to withdraw U.S. troops from Pakistan. You read that correctly: The U.S. military and the CIA have American solders carrying out secret missions (that include assassinating people) in Pakistan - a country we are not at war with.

Only two U.S. legislators have had the courage to raise this issue. Sadly, just as quickly as the measure was brought before Congress, it was unceremoniously killed by legislators who could care less about Constitution or the people they are supposed to be representing.

Most hardworking, taxpaying Americans - the people who pay the bills and bleed in the wars - have no idea that this is even going on.

On July 22, Kucinich and Paul introduced House Concurrent Resolution 301, "Directing the President, pursuant to section 5(c) of the War Powers Resolution, to remove the United States Armed forces from Pakistan."

After introducing the bill, Kucinich said: "It's not generally known that we have at least 124 Special forces troops on the ground inside Pakistan. It is absolutely urgent that we take a stand to stop spreading war in Pakistan. To nip in the bud the U.S. ground presence."

In a recent column, Paul echoed the Ohio Democrat's views, adding:

We are not at war with Pakistan, Congress has made no declaration of war. (Actually, we made no declaration of war on Iraq or Afghanistan either, but that is another matter.) Yet we have troops in Pakistan engaging in hostile activities, conduction drone attacks and killing people. We sometimes manage to kill someone who has been identified as an enemy, yet we also kill about 10 civilians for every 1 of those. Pakistani civilians are angered by this, yet their leadership is mollified by our billions in bribe money. We just passed an appropriations bill that will send another $7.5 billion to Pakistan. One wonders how much of this money will end up helping the Taliban. This whole operation is clearly counterproductive, inappropriate, immoral and every American who values the rule of law should be outraged. Yet these activities are being done so quietly that most Americans, as well as most members of the House, don't even know about them.

On July 27, the resolution was brought to the House floor for a vote. This congress overwhelmingly killed it by a vote of 38 to 372. Four congressmen chose to vote present. Worse still, 18 legislators didn't even bother to show up for the vote.

Bipartisan Effort Ends Benefits for 9-11 Heroes  

Congress voted to kill legislation that would have awarded taxpayer dollars to help workers who treated the injured and cleaned up the site of the collapse of the World Trade Center and then suffered from bizarre illnesses as a result of their dangerous work.

The James Zadroga 9-11 Health and Compensation Act (H.S. 847) would have appropriated $3.2 billion to provide free healthcare for the next 10 years for anyone who could prove they worked at that site and become ill from the job.

It's been widely reported that firemen, police, EMTs and construction workers came into contact with toxic smoke, noxious chemicals, hazardous dust and asbestos while working in and around the area. Even many local residents complained of the sickening smells. No one was warned about the dangerous conditions there, and no "hazardous materials" suits were given out to protect people. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency even prematurely announced that the area was safe, giving a false sense of security to thousands of dedicated rescue and construction workers.

The vote on the measure was a classic case of Beltway political maneuvering that kills a decent bill.

Democrats called for an immediate vote to block any amendments being added the legislation. This created an immediate problem in that the rules state the bill would then have needed a two-thirds majority vote for its passage.

With the midterm elections right around the corner, Republicans want to vote against any bill that is introduced by a Democrat. Consequently, no Republicans voted for it.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg blasted both parties for their handling of this tragic situation.

"It was wrong for the overwhelming majority of Republicans to vote against the bill, and it was wrong for Democrats to bring the bill to the floor under rules that made passage so much more difficult," Bloomberg told reporters.

Under-the-Radar Tax Hike Blocked By Republicans  

Republicans killed an under-the-radar tax increase that was prompted by the massive healthcare bill passed in March. Under Obama's new healthcare law, the IRS was required to close loopholes for corporations that go offshore to avoid paying taxes. As a result, the new bill (H.R. 5982) was introduced in late July to amend the IRS rules to make them consistent.

Making corporations pay their share of taxes is certainly a good step. The reality of this complicated measure, however, created problems for small businesses.
The new measure would have put the burden on businesses by requiring them to disclose any purchases over $600 in a given year. Dealers in gold coins were especially incensed by this new rule, which would have forced them to hire more staff and increase their overhead to satisfy the IRS.

As AFP reported in the "News You May Have Missed" in the Aug. 2 issue, "gold dealers are fuming mad over a new tax on gold coins.... They say they will have to hire full-time staff to fill out tens of thousands of declarations."

The motion required a two-thirds majority for passage. On July 30, it failed - 241 to 154.

Congress Encourages U.S. Farmers to Put Old Glory on Products  

On a positive note, Congress overwhelmingly approved a measure encouraging farmers to proudly display the American flag on all produce that is gown in the United States and sold around the world.

The bill said, in part: "It is the sense of the House of Representatives that fruit and vegetable and commodity producers are encouraged to display the American flag on labels of products grown in the United States, reminding us all to take pride in the healthy bounty produced by American farmers and workers."

Look for more and more farmers, ranchers and food producers to display the American flag on their products - one more way Americans can keep an eye out for quality goods that are made in the United States.

Patriots Resist Bilderberg Bombs

The Bilderberg group is subtly working to condition the public mind to embrace a U.S. air attack on Iran next year but is confronting strong opposition from patriotic grassroots Americans and other opponents. Bilderberg decided to instigate a U.S. attack on Osrael'[s behalf during its secretive meeting in Spain early last June in order to perpetuate america's financial agony through 2011, enrich the military-industrial-banking complex and drastically increase the price of oil.

Buried in a commentary otherwise devoted to the "recession" that is more like a depression, Nouriel Roubini, co-author of the book Crisis Economics and a professor at the Stern School of Business at New York University, wrote: "One cannot exclude the possibility of an Israeli military strike on Iran in the next 12 months. If that happens, oil prices could rapidly spike and, as in the summer of 2008, trigger a global recession."

That evidently is the Bilderberg plan. An "Israeli strike" (using U.S.-provided planes, tanks and bulldozers, etc.) typically is automatically followed or accompanied by U.S. air strikes. This will pile even more debt on the United States, further injure the already deeply wounded economy and perpetuate the global economic recession. Bilderberg's luminaries are deeply invested in the bomb-making industry, which would see a big jump in prices for producing war materiel.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, referring to the United States and Israel, said on July 26: "They have decided to attack at least two countries in the region in the next three months."

Israeli officials allege that President Obama, a bilderberg water boy, is prepared to attack Iran despite apparent disclaimers. They cite his speech while accepting the Nobel Peace Prize, when he said "there will be times" when "the use of force" is "not only necessary but morally justified." They also cite Obama's embrace of the war in Afghanistan, where U.S. casualties and cost have skyrocketed. Afghanistan, U.S. combat deaths total 1,216; in Iraq, 4,413 for a total of 5,629 - but these are just the immediate killed-in-action figures that do not count the much larger death toll related to war that sonsists of suicides, and slower deaths from injuries and illnesses.

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak is convinced he can start a war at his pleasure. He constantly whines about Iran building nuclear weapons, although this has been consistently denied. Ahmadinejad insists his nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only. Previous bombings and on-site inspections have produced no evidence of nuclear-weapons production. Iran invites international inspection of its nuclear facilities. But Israel, which has had nuclear weapons since at least 1962, refuses inspections.

One avenue to war with Iran, according to Barak, is through Lebanon. Since Israel's widely condemned war with Lebanese freedom fighters in 2006, Barak said, Hezbollah has built an arsenal of 40,000 missiles and rockets, obtained from Iran. This claim is disputed by objective authorities, and Israel's attack four years ago was denounced by international peace groups and many Israelis. In response to Israeli occupation troops assassinating Hezbollah leaders and killing and torturing civilians and children, Hezbollah lobs rockets at Israeli troops. This is license for war, Barak says.

If a Hezbollah rocket reaches Tel Aviv, Barak said, "we will see it as legitimate to hit any target that belongs to the Lebanese state." This could lead indirectly to war with Iran.

Bilderberg meetings are secretive global planning sessions conducted yearly by media moguls, corporate titans, major bankers and select royalty and policy-makers who meet in major luxury hotels sealed off by armed guards and off limits for direct media coverage. The group has been meeting since 1954, when the first meeting was held at the Bilderberg Hotel in the Netherlands; hence the group's name.

Americans who desire an attack on Iran include such Bilderberg elites as former Vice President Dick Cheney, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, former World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz and Iraq War architect Douglas Feith.

It's all a matter of engineering the right set of circumstances to justify an attack on the eyes of the public. If these neo-conservative war hawks make a bold move to attack Iran, will the people of America and concerned citizens from other nations finally see through the fog and stop the killing machine that has spent unfathomable blood and treasure for 10 years in Afghanistan and more than seven years in Iraq?

Neo-Cons Ramp Up Campaign for No-Win War with Iran

Reuel Marc Gerecht's screed in the Weekly Standard seeking to justify an Israeli bombing attack on Iran coincides with the opening of the new Israel lobby campaign marked by the introduction in Congress of H.R. 1553 expressing full support for such an Israeli attack. What is important to understand about this campaign is that the aim of Gerecht and of the Israeli government of Menjamin Netanyahu is to support an attack by Israel so that the United States can be drawn into direct, full-scale, no-win war with Iran.

Gerecht openly expresses the hope that any Iranian response to the Israeli attack would trigger full-scale U.S. war against Iran. "If Khamenei has a death-wish, he'll let the Revolutionary Guards mine the strait, the entrance to the Persian Gulf," writes Gerecht. "It might be the only thing that would push President Obama to strike Iran militarily...." Gerecht adds that Obama might be "obliged" to threaten major retaliation "immediately after an Israeli surprise attack."

That's the key sentence in this very long Gerecht argument. Obama is not going to be "obliged" to join an Israeli aggression against Iran unless he feels that domestic political pressures to do so are too strong to resist. That's why the Israelis are determined to line up a strong majority in Congress and public opinion for war to foreclose Obama's options.

In the absence of confidence that Obama would be ready to come into the war fully behind Israel, there cannot be an Israeli strike.

The real concern of the Israelis and their lobbyists, as Gerecht's past writing has explicitly stated, is to destroy Iran's Islamic regime in a paroxysm of U.S. military violence.

Gerecht first revealed this Israeli-neo-con fantasy as early as 2000, before the Iranian nuclear program was even taken seriously, in an essay written for a book published by the Project for a New American Century. Gerecht argued that, if Iran could be caught in a "terrorist act," the U.S. Navy should "retaliate with fury." The purpose of such a military response, he wrote, should be to "strike with truly devastating effect against the ruling mullahs and the repressive institutions that maintain them."

And lest anyone fail to understand what he meant by that, Gerecht was more explicit: "That is, no cruise missiles at midnight to minimize the body count. The clerics will almost certainly strike back unless Washington uses overwhelming, paralyzing force."

In 2006 to 2007, the Israeli war party had reason to believe that it could hijack U.S. policy long enough to get the war it wanted, because it had placed one of its most militant agents, David Wurmser, in a strategic position to influence that policy.

We now know that Wurmser, formerly a close adviser to Netanyahu and during that period Vice President dick Cheney'‘s main adviser on the Middle East, urged a policy of overwhelming U.S. military force against Iran. After leaving the administration in 2007, Wurmser revealed that he had advocated a U.S. war on Iran, not to set back the nuclear program but to achieve regime change.

Of course, that kind of war could not be launched out of the blue. It would have required a casus belli to justify a limited attack that would allow a rapid escalation of U.S. military force. In 2007, Cheney acted on Wurmser's advice and tried to get Bush to provoke a war with Iran over Iraq, but the Pentagon foiled it.

[That may be changing within the military evidenced by U.S. military officers, such as retired Air force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney, who have been parroting this same insane notion that bombing Iran would inspire a "velvet revolution" among Iranians.-Ed.]

It idea of waging a U.S. war of genocide against Iran is obvious lunacy.

But Gerecht makes it clear that Israel believes it can use its contol of congress to pound Obama into submission. Even though Israel has increasingly been regarded around the world as a rogue state after its Gaza atrocities and the commando killings of unarmed civilians on board the Mavi Marmara, its grip on the Congress appears as strong as ever.

Moreover, polling data for 2010 show that a majority of Americans have already been manipulated into supporting war against Iran.

Netanyahu must be feeling good about the prospects for pressuring Obama to join an Israeli war of aggression against Iran. It was Netanyahu, after all, who declared in 2001, "I know what America is. America is a thing you can move very easily, move it in the right direction. They won't get in the way."

Judge Bolton: U.S. Border Is Now a ‘Green Light District'

Federal District Judge Susan Bolton, a Bill Clinton appointee, opened the flood gates. Millions of illegal aliens have already hopped, skipped and jumped across the border. They have done so with little, if any, border security. This week, Ms. Bolton struck down much of the New Arizona law that would curtail illegal immigration. Judge Bolton maintained that "Arizona's law would interfere with federal policy.

Unbelievable. What federal policy? This judge just reinforced criminal activity - literally. Let's dub her "Green Light Bolton."

The so-called "contentious" provision that would require state and local Arizona police to check a suspect's immigration status during routine traffic stops was stricken by Ms. Bolton. She said "even if there is a reasonable suspicion that the suspects are in our country illegally, police cannot pursue their immigration status."

Ms. Bolton and the U.S. Justice Department (DOJ) maintain that b y "stopping these suspects, the police would have "racially profiled" them.

Tell me, are Mexicans Hispanic? Every ethnic group has certain characteristics. Since it is a fact that many Mexicans are illegally entering America, police naturally would look for Mexicans who might not have citizenship or legal residency. Thisis not racism or bigotry.

It makes sense that, since the federal government does nothing to stop illegal immigration, Arizona had no choice but to establish state law S.B. 1070, to ferret out these "illegals. Yet the feds rebuke Arizona. If that makes any sense, then I'm a fashion designer. Judges such as Ms. Bolton are responsible for this madness.

The cost to American taxpayers continues to grow at a record pace. Healthcare, welfare, education, housing, emergency room visits, crime etc., are up with American taxpayers footing the bill. There's no end insight. American taxpayers already are losing their jobs, homes and even their families.

This court decision is a victory for illegal immigration and the many "rights activists" who continue to support an open border policy. These "activists" want no -let me repeat - no border security at all. They don't just oppose the Arizona law, they oppose all programs to curtail illegal immigration. They literally want a wide-open border, which would literally mean the end of the U.S.A.

Meanwhile, the DOJ continues to argue that "immigration enforcement is a federal responsibility." the DOJ claims that laws like Arizona's would "disrupt federal immigration enforcement programs."

The DOJ wants us to believe that they're not really against the intentions of Arizona, but only that the feds should do that job. Open borders. "Illegals" crossing our border at warp speed. But the DOJ wants no one to interfere.

Is America a sovereign nation? If so, is there not an imperative to provide for our common defense? Of course there is. The problem is our federal government has failed to do so. The feds have abandoned Arizona by failing to enforce the provisions of our Constitution. And now, the federal courts have prevented Arizona from protecting its citizens and property from illegal immigration. It's as simple as that.

You will read and hear all the politically correct reasons why the Arizona law shuld be stricken. Analyze these reasons with common sense. Then put yourself in the shoes of those Arizona citizens who literally are endangered by open borders yet they are now being told that they cannot even protect themselves.

In the 1990s, I had successfully passed key amendments in the House to defense bills to locate our soldiers to the borders. My legislation would have placed 10,000 solders on the border. Their job was not to arrest but detain illegal immigrants, who would then be processed by our border Patrol. But the Senate, led by Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona, killed it. I now maintain that had the Congress enacted the Traficant plan, we would not be experiencing this crisis today.

Truth is, even Congress knows it. They'll never admit it, but they now realize how crazy it was to have American soldiers guarding the borders in the Mideast, vaccinating dogs in Haiti, going to the opera in Germany, visiting restaurants in Japan and Korea, while our borders remain wide open.

Forget the Border Patrol, folks. There's only one Border Patrol agent for every two miles of our southern border. George Washington is rolling over in his grave.

America does not need a "green light" policy. America does not need judges like "Green Light Bolton." The issue is national sovereignty and national security, not politics.

New Data Emerges On Gulf War Illness

At an Aug. 6 conference on Gulf War Illness held near Dallas, AFP had a chance to talk with Ross Perot, a former U.S. Navy man who ran for president in the early 1990s and is among the last of the original self-made Texas billionaires.

He is perhaps best known for declaring that the proposed North American Free Trade Agreement would create "a giant sucking sound" by drawing industrial jobs from the United States into Mexico. He was right.

This Texarkana-born former IBM salesman who achieved great wealth was the keynote speaker at the National Gulf War Resource Center (NGWRC) Health and Education Fair at the Wyndham Hotel in Irving, a Dallas community. There, adopting the truthful, candid approach he used as a presidential candidate, he reminded the attending veterans that the U.S. government's policies have a great deal to do with the Gulf War Illness that curses their health to this day.

The weapons that were stockpiled in large numbers in Iraq, which U.S. troops were ordered to blow up during Gulf War I (which was formally launched in January of 1991)—in what some call the first phase of the ongoing war in Iraq—were made in the U.S., Perot said.

When the deadly chemical weapons consisting of nerve agents were detonated, the unforgiving desert winds carried the toxins long distances, affecting friend and foe.

Thus, Gulf War Illness, which spawns multiple symptoms and maladies, is a direct consequence of U.S. military involvement in this region.

"We gave them to the Iraqis," Perot told AFP. He was referring to the weapons of mass destruction that the U.S. gave to Iraq when Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was considered an "ally" during the Iraq-Iran war of the 1980s.

"We violated the first rule of warfare—don't shoot yourself," Perot said, concerning the U.S. government's shady weapons transfers to a nation that soon was transformed from ally to enemy when Iraq invaded Kuwait on August 2, 1990.

This conference was sponsored to recognize the 20th anniversary of the beginning of that congressionally undeclared conflict. Many of the troops who hit the desert sands during that war in the prime of their health are now at wit's end on what to do with their multiple health problems. Some 20 years later, they are still dealing with a Veterans Administration bureaucracy that has dragged its feet while veterans from the early gulf war give up or die at a startling rate. Meanwhile, fresh casualties are mounting to disturbing levels from the current conflicts, which include a return to Iraq and America's longest war, now at the 10-year mark, in Afghanistan.

Perot sees the efforts of the NGWRC and other organizations to support more research into Gulf War Illness and produce ground-breaking treatments as "more important than the space program was."

Perot applauded the work of Dr. Robert Haley at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Haley was on hand at the NGWRC event to explain his latest research and the struggle to maintain funding. Other noted researchers also were there. (See other story for more details.)

Perot, who personally lends financial support to struggling military families, financed an entire wing for the institution where Haley works.

When AFP asked Perot if he would ever run for president again, he chuckled and quipped "I don't think so."

Having received the Desert Storm Patriot Award from the NGWRC on Aug. 6, he seems too focused on helping veterans to return to the political pressure cooker.

The multi-faceted movement calls for pulling away from the highly protected, banker-controlled, corporate-is-king system that puts the corporate-government structure in a purely dominant, manipulative and adversarial relationship with the people.

More and more freeways are being converted into toll ways. Surveillance cameras are everywhere. The seeds for our food are tampered with genetically. Most U.S. municipal water is fluoridated, even when many European nations are getting rid of fluoride; cows for producing milk are loaded with hormones and antibiotics, and the milk is pasteurized to destroy needed enzymes; the foods we eat are loaded with fillers, heavy sugars and countless chemicals. Hazardous vaccines are considered sacred and are pushed by big medicine and big media. The list doesn't seem to stop.

The managers of this "matrix" also demand that taxpayers save Wall Street interests, even as Main Street mom-and-pop businesses disappear, formerly successful people live in their cars, families crumble and entire neighborhoods disappear, including in Detroit and Flint, Michigan.

In light of all this, the "volume" is being turned up Aug. 15 when a special "United We Strike" radio broadcast hits the airwaves to amplify and broaden this strike movement, which participant Karen Tostado says is going global. Details are available at www.UnitedWeStrike.com

"Our towns are infested by armadas of corporate chain-restaurants and big-box retailers selling mainly Chinese junk in cookie-cutter malls," observed Anderson, who will appear on the all-day broadcast from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Eastern Time. "The central bank, the private Federal Reserve System, keeps the money supply and available credit well below what's needed to retire debt and purchase adequate goods and services to keep enough businesses from closing down. We are not allowed—yet— to return to government-issued money without interest. Instead the Fed runs the show with interest attached to every dollar."

Those involved in the strike do not find the U.S. military's policy of constant occupation and interventionism acceptable in any fashion, nor do participants want to tolerate bills in Congress that seek to shut down small family farms in favor of do-as-they-please corporate farms that produce substandard food and engage in poor environmental practices. The essence of the strike movement is to restore local autonomy and self-sufficiency as much as possible, and say "no" to the ridiculous economic and political matrix that has been foisted on the masses and turned society into an unacceptable reality. Televisions are being turned off and people are starting to objectively seek solutions.

Trilaterals' Secret Meeting Will Be Held in D.C. in Spring

The Trilateral Commission (TC) refused to tell AMERICAN FREE PRESS where it would meet next spring. Still, we figured it out. The globalist group will meet in Washington, D.C. April 8-10, 2011 to panhandle American taxpayers in a determined, but failing, attempt to establish a world government.

Already the TC is struggling to reignite its global government efforts but is unable to overcome resistance from American patriots. The Senate is balking at ratifying the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) because of unconstitutional excesses. Action has been delayed until a lame-duck session following the November elections. But the TC, and its brother group, Bilderberg, is using the time to pressure the Senate to embrace START after the elections are safely over.

START and other sovereignty-surrendering treaties, such as the North America Free Trade Agreement, are important steps in the TC-Bilderberg campaign to establish a world government. An "American Union" similar to the European Union is to be established with the proposed "amero" becoming the "euro" in this hemisphere.

The immediate danger is that the Senate will bow to immense pressure to ratify START at the post-election lame-duck session. A significant number of incumbents are likely to lose and have no political stake in the issue. Others will be told their votes will be forgotten before the next election so they had better take big bucks now rather than offend the power brokers.

Secretaries of state, defense and treasury always attend TC and Bilderberg meetings, as do White House officials and congressional lapdogs. All are pressuring the Senate to ratify START. The treaty creates a Bilateral Consultative Commission with power to approve "additional measures as may be necessary to improve the viability and effectiveness of the treaty."

The U.S. and Russian executive branches could implement the commission's recommendations without Senate ratification. This is unconstitutional on its face. When the White House gets through implementing commission recommendations you may be unable to recognize the START treaty.

Even the courts, not often recognized as bastions of constitutional principle, are saying such treaties are unconstitutional.

In 2006, the federal appellate court for the District of Columbia declined to implement "adjustments" by an international organization to an environmental treaty. The court cited "significant debate over the constitutionality of assigning lawmaking functions to international bodies."

The court ruled that treating the treaty adjustments as law "would raise serious constitutional questions in light of the non-delegation doctrine, numerous constitutional procedural requirements for making law, and the separation of powers."

New Film Brings Focus on Plight of Returning Veterans

Young film maker Christopher Martini has done Music Television projects and film projects involving a number of celebrities.

But he really shines as the writer, producer and main actor in his first-ever documentary—a moving "docu-drama" entitled Trooper—in which he plays soldier Murphy O'Shea, who comes home to New York City after a tour of duty in the current Iraq occupation.

His bleak existence shows the sheer stress of combat on the fragile fabric of civilized life.

Martini's new film debuted Aug. 6 during the four-day Health and Educational Fair sponsored by the National Gulf War Resource Center in Dallas, Texas. The annual event, covered this year by AFP, helps veterans address their serious health problems and navigate the Veterans Administration's mountainous red tape, stemming from service in the first gulf war in Iraq and Kuwait, and from the current Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Martini says his movie is neither anti-war nor pro-war. His character—highly troubled by chronic fatigue, vomiting, emotional problems and a hard time readjusting to regular life at home with his lonesome Vietnam-veteran father—decides to research depleted uranium (DU), the radioactive weapons component used as an incredibly effective penetrator for hardened targets and also as armor against enemy fire.

DU, when fragmented or converted to an aerosol, enters open wounds, is ingested on food or is inhaled. It has been linked to cancers and birth defects, affecting soldiers from both sides and civilians without bias over wide geographic areas. In the film, O'Shea confronts his VA doctor about DU. The doctor minimizes DU's significance, even after Murphy tells him that the pills the doctor is providing are not helping him handle his strange ailments.

The chronically-ill, emotionally conflicted soldier is not sure whether to follow a trusted friend's advice and fight "the system," or to remain passive and accept reality—a reality defined by restless nights seared by disturbing recollections of brutal battle scenes. His days mainly involve spending precious time with Bill, his aging, quirky father whose Vietnam service depleted his health.

The father-son scenes are particularly touching as they show the unique bond of father and son, which only real fathers and sons can truly understand—in the challenging context of both Bill and Murphy having served in the military while sacrificing their best years to do so.

The movie follows young O'Shea through the dark corridors of his life as he revisits friends, including lady friends, and tries to make civilian life work again. The viewer is struck by the film's somber conclusion in its irony and in the way O'Shea makes the issues of depleted uranium and Gulf War Illness real and not mere clinical abstractions.

The film may be neutral, but in its own way it can help us decide whether constant warfare accompanying our interventionist foreign policy is really the way to go, since that policy guarantees nonstop casualties and fatalities with never-ending medical bills.

The Great 2010 Depression

In the mid 1990s I predicted that America would experience another depression after the turn of the century. Many laughed, especially the mainstream media in Ohio. Now, America is in denial. The White House is in denial. Congress is in denial. The Federal Reserve Board is in denial. America's news media is in denial. There can be no mistake, no more denial. America is in a comprehensive, multi-faceted economic depression of massive proportions.

I ask you to take the time to think and ponder the elements of our economy. The only hope America has rests with the general public. Our government has lost sight, lost focus, lost the ability to confront this critical endangerment. You see, our government keeps "spinning" the news to allay the concerns of voters near election.

Let's now hypothesize: If we remove Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and welfare from America in 2010, our economy makes the crash of 1929 look like a fender bender.

If you think hard, what would America be economically without the government money being pumped in, you begin to recognize the imminent dangers we face.

America is robbing Peter to pay Paul. The only economic activity we are experiencing is due to an artificial infusion of government spending. Government spending utilizing borrowed money. Our government is in a free fall of no return. In fact, they are now past the point of no return.

The news proclaims corporate earnings are going up and the stock market is beginning to rally. They say this is proof that we're "turning the corner" and our economy is coming back.

Don't believe anything you read in the papers or see on the 24-hour news shows. For instance, although Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Shalom Bernanke keeps saying the economy is getting better, he was overheard at a congressional hearing saying that "this is the worst labor market since the Great Depression."

Think again: America did not have a $14 trillion national debt in 1929. Today's labor market is even more crippling than it was in 1929.

This takes me to the direction that our government is taking: The wrong direction. Our government's strategy is to increase taxes and spend more government tax dollars. They are doing this to create jobs. It will not work. Jobs are the critical factor to any economic recovery. Ours is no different. But, there are jobs, and there are jobs. America's jobs are being created in our public sector by our government though continuous government spending. This is bad. The debt keeps ballooning.

America needs private sector jobs, fueled by consumer demands. These jobs will not come from big companies. Most big corporations in America have made huge profits by cutting domestic jobs, getting rid of American workers and many times employing illegal workers at low wages and outsourcing jobs overseas. Those outsourced jobs are at even lower wage levels.

One recent example is our big American company, Apple. Apple employs 25,000 workers in America. However, Apple outsources much of its production to a giant Chinese company called Foxconn. Foxconn employs 1.5 million workers. That's right, a million and a half people in China. You might get some understanding of our jobs predicament when you come to learn that 250,000 of those Foxconn employees produce products for Apple. Yes, Apple has 25,000 employees in America, and you might say 250,000 Apple employees in China.

Oh, Apple will say that they do not have 250,000 workers in China, but the truth is the volume of work that Apple outsources to Foxconn requires 250,000 Chinese laborers to provide it. Technically, I do not blame Apple. Apple, like many other American companies, has little choice in the matter.

Huge tax burdens and suffocating over-regulation have forced jobs overseas. Congress has forced jobs overseas. And, now instead of fixing the problem, Congress is about to inject the economy with more government spending, and more borrowing.

You guessed it: It's the tax code, pure and simple. The suffocating, job-killing, investment-killing, tax code. The progressive income tax has sucked the life out of our economy.

This economic depression will continue until we replace this worthless, communist income tax with a flat consumption tax.

Failing to do this, America will implode, or it will break apart just like the old Soviet Union. Remember the USSR? The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics? Not anymore. Are we next?

Israel Funneling Iraqi ‘Black Gold' to Red China

When the Bush-Cheney neo–conservative clique waged war against Saddam Hussein in 2003, Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz assured Congress that oil revenues from that country would offset costs and pay for the reconstruction. But during an aug. 4 interview with this writer, respected author, documentary film maker and speaker Texe Marrs revealed a far more sinister plot

"After U.S. troops invaded, they began rebuilding a pipeline from Iraq through Israel to ports on the Lebanese border," Marrs told AFP in an exclusive interview. "There, the oil is loaded onto tankers and transported to China, where it is refined. The Chinese use whatever they need to fuel their economy and then sell the rest to other booming countries like India."

He continued, "China is the world's number one oil importer. They
ve also built 25 new refineries, while 1976 marked the last time such a facility was constructed in the U.S. These Chinese refineries are, in actuality, privatized front companies owned by the Rothschilds. That we're seeing is, in reality, Iraqi oil being laundered through Israel, with the profits funneled into Tel Aviv banks."

So, under the false pretense of"weapons of mass destruction," or WMD, Israel again manipulated America into war. The evidence bears out that America's primary function isto do Israel's bidding as a bully-protectorate and provider of foreign and while that country's situation is constantly enhanced.

Seven years after the shock-and-awe U.S. attack on Iraq, Marrs asks, "Why do we still have 50,000 troops in Iraq, 13 permanent military bases, and the world's largest embassy? The plan is to establish a Greater Israeli prosperity sphere, with our embassy serving as grand central for Middle East oil distribution."

There are currently about 70,000 U.S. troops in Iraq, down from 140,000 when Obama first took office. At the end of August, the Pentagon is expected to withdraw another 20,000, bringing the total number of soldiers occupying the country to 50,000. In addition, there are anywhere from 100,000 to 180,000 mercenaries there at any given time.

While Americans sacrifice their blood and billions of dollars, Marrs describes the result of our efforts: "China and Israel have emerged as the biggest beneficiaries of this war. They're working hand-in-hand with one another. In five years, China National Petroleum Corporation will be larger than ExxonMobil."

As U.S. military spending continues to produce astronomical deficits, Marrs describes other underhanded dealings.

"The two countries who've most thrived during our global recession are China and Israel," said Marrs. " While capital is still being cutoff to American businesses, Goldman Sachs plays a pivotal role in bolstering China's economy. The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corp. Is becoming one of the world's largest financial institutions, while banks in Israel are booming with laundered oil profits."

Marrs elaborated on how this plot developed.

"After Goldman Sachs CEO Henry Paulson became George W. Bush's Treasury Secretary, he visited China 70 times," said Marrs. "Another powerful globalist, the UN's Maurice Strong, resides in Beijing. China represents an exemplary role model and juggernaut that will make the 21st century an age of Zionism."

While saying this subversive relationship has been intact for decades, Marrs added, "From the beginning, Mao Tse Tung acted as a communist puppet whose closest collaborators were Jewish. On the other hand, Israel's first president - David Ben-Gurion - was an avowed Lennist who worked closely with China. It would be no surprise to AFP readers if China's nuclear secrets were stolen from America via Israel."

He adds further weight to this argument, "Jonathan Pollard, an American Jew and the most notorious spy in our nation's history, stole secrets from the military and then forwarded them to Israel, who subsequently sold them to China. The Spotlight, the predecessor to AFP, exposed how Pollard and Israel cooperated with China on several fronts."

This unholy union is a harbinger of future events.

"The Rothschilds view China as a communist-capitalist prototype for the world," Marrs told AFP. "Few people realize that Goldman Sachs - a Rothschild front company - has financed thousands of warehouses in China to stockpile billions in natural resources, which they've obtained at dirt cheap prices due to the recession. They keep building up China while the U.S. is beaten down."

He further said, "Why does Israel continue its assault on Lebanon? It's to ensure that they retain control of the ports in that area so their oil can be laundered to China. Right now, Iraq stands as Beijing's best hope for fuel. They've even secured five huge contracts to drill in the land that we occupy."

As an aside, Marrs quipped, "When you talk about Israel, You're really talking about the Rothschilds. They founded Tel Aviv, nicknamed the ‘White city,' in 1909 and turned Israel into their own personal theocratic super-state."

Marrs also discusses this "black gold empire" in his current "Power of Prophecy" newsletter.

"Iraqi oil is ‘owned' lock, stock and barrel by Rothschild from companies," said Marrs. "The profit from this oil scam - secreted away in Tel Aviv banks - now reaches obscene levels."

Senate Passes Border Security Bill

On Aug. 5, the Senate passed s. Amendment 4593, a $600 million bill to beef up security on the United states' border with Mexico. The legislation, introduced by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) off all people, does the following: It appropriates $176 million for a "strike force" of 1,000 new agents from the border Patrol, $89 million for 500 additional border support personnel and $196 million for law enforcement and prosecutors.

The measure also includes $32 million in funding remote-controlled drones flying along the border in search of illegal immigrants and drug traffickers. Hopefully, however, this is not a ploy to introduce drone surveillance throughout the United states. Drones should be limited to border patrols.

This is all good news, but Schumer's measure doesn't stop there.

His bill will pay for itself by adding new fees on foreign companies, mainly Indian firms, that apply for H-1B visas to bring foreign high-tech workers into the United States for jobs. During the current depression, with unemployment in the United States pushing 20 percent, this is a no-brainer for Congress.

The House passed similar immigration reform legislation after legislators were called back from their August recess to vote on aid for states. The bill is very close to the senate's version. It sends new agents to the border and appropriates extra money for prosecutions. However, the two different bills will have to go to committee for compromise, which most likely will not happen until after Congress returns in the Fall.

"Now it is time to say enough is enough - enough partisan maneuvering, enough political posturing, enough petty Washington games," Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (D-Ariz.) told a Capitol Hill newspaper in Washington. "We have to put our security first and get the job done."

U.S. Taxpayers Can't Afford Handouts for Israel

The Commerce Department reports that the average household income across the United States is approximately $50,000. In Israel, the average household income is around $40,000, according to official statistics. That means that tax-paying Americans are wealthier than Israelis, right? Wrong.

The United States has one of the world's widest wealth gaps. According to statistics maintained by the privately owned and controlled Federal reserve, the wealthiest 10 percent of the U.S. population now owns over 71 percent of total assets in this country. Of that number, the top one percent in America holds a whopping 38 percent. On the other hand, the working poor, which accounts for 42 percent of the population, owns less than 1 percent for the middle class. This great divide skews statistics on wealth, showing Americans are richer than they actually are.

When one looks at income, the disparity is even more alarming. The latest figures show that the top one percent now has a stranglehold on nearly 70 percent of total earnings, while 90 percent of the population has a measly 11 percent. The divide has grown so much in recent years that the non-partisan government watchdog group Center on Budget and Policy Priorities remarked that the income gains going to top earners now mirror the time just before the Great Depression rocked the country in the late 1920s.

Compare that to Israel, where the income divide is far less pronounced and thoseconsidered as the poorest in that country still own 10 percent to 15 percent of the country's wealth. And that's what makes it so inconceivable that Congress continues to increase the amount of money U.S. taxpayers hand over to Israel.

A new Jerusalem Post report reveals that U.S. taxpayer handouts to Israel for "missile defense" have reached an "all-time high" under the Democrat-led Congress. Missile defense is a euphemism for long-and Short-range missiles that are used to shoot down other missiles. These are provided as a gift from U.S. taxpayers that Israel will be able to sue if it attacks Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon or Iran.

According to the Post, Congress generously added nearly $100 million to the original White House funding authorization for the long-range Arrow missile program and medium-range David's Sling missiles.

The Arrow program is a joint U.S.-Israel anti-missile system built to stop long-range missiles. David's Sling refers to a program being developed by Israeli defense contractor Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and U.S. defense contractor Raytheon. It is designed to intercept medium- to short-range missiles. Both are paid for by U.S. taxpayers.

Rep. Steve Rothman (D-N.J.) justified handing out even more money from struggling American taxpayers this way: "Chairman Norm Dicks, myself and all the members of the defense Subcommittee understand how important it is to be at the cutting edge of anti-missile technology, both to safeguard our own citizens and troops, but also those citizens and troops of our allies such as the people of Israel."

Yes, Big Brother Is Watching

You and everyone you know are being watched by Big Brother - and millions more Americans each month willingly help our enemies spy on themselves and on us.

George Orwell, the pen name of a disenchanted exCommunist, saw the handwriting on the wall, when he wrote his classic book, 1984. His original title was 1948 because he saw the total control the governments of Soviet Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States were implementing against their own people - all under the aegis of a super world government, secretly controlled by an occult inner circle that came to power by "winning" World War II.

But 1948 technology was primitive. Most people had never even heard of the new-fangled black and white TVs with tiny round screens. So the publishers reversed the 48 to 84, because the then-future 1984 would be more believable.

On Jan. 24, 1946, Truman appointed the first director of Central Intelligence. The next year Truman signed the National Security Act of 1947, which made permanent the "temporary" loss of liberties imposed under the pretext of "war time emergencies" and laid the foundations for a big brother police state. It created the CIA out of the criminal enterprise known as the Office of strategic Services, and it gave the government the power to hide crimes and corruption under the ruse of "national security."

In 1953, the Supreme Court gave the U.S. government the power to cover up any crimes - and take away all of your rights - under a pretense of "protecting state secrets." This decision, United States v Reynolds, created a gambit called the "state secrets privilege," which is prima facie unconstitutional. It is abhorrent to the authors of our independence who declared a government "abolishing our most valuable laws, and altering fundamentally the forms of our governments" is a tyranny that the people have a right and a duty to replace.

On Jan. 17, 1961, President Eisenhower warned the American people to beware of the military-industrial complex. But even 13 years after Orwell's 1984, the technology for total control did not yet exist.

By 1984, PROMIS, the first software that gave governments the promise of total monitoring of everyone on Earth was stolen from William Hamilton and his wife Nancy by a conspiracy of neo-cons, high in the U.S. government, the Rafi Eitan, long-time deputy-director of Mossad, Israel's secret spy service. Its mole, Robert Maxwell, sold the modified pirated copies of PROMIS to governments around the world and to communists, terrorists, Mafia bosses, drug cartels, ad nauseam, so all these evil actors could spy on their own underlings. What they didn't know was this Big brother software was bugged, so Israel could spy on each of its customers and know everything they knew.

The "Big Brother" spying arm of the NWO military-industrial-banking complex has grown like a malignant cancer. The National security Agency - known as NSA, or "No Such Agency" - in collusion with Britain's M16, and Mossad have been spying on everybody in the world - as documented by James Bamford in a series of powerful books, including "The Shadow Factory.*

Every phone call, email, FAX, bank transaction, television show, bell paid - every communication you send or receive - is recorded by a gaggle of government agencies in the name of "national security." Your tax dollars pay for the contracts to route your every communication and transaction through U.S. intelligence arms or Israeli corporations acting as fronts for Mossad.

In 1993, to make this spying on you easier, President Bill Clinton promoted the Clipper Chip, a chipset developed by NSA as an encryption device telecommunication companies would be required to adopt. This was intended to standardize encryption technology so that law enforcement agencies could listen in on all "private" conversations - and make any encryption except government-issued "privacy protection" illegal.

All the usual suspects had their fingers in the multi-billion-dollar pie, which they hoped would make them a fortune. Hillary Clinton, convicted criminal Web Hubbell and Vince Foster worked on a NSA contract for Systematics of Arkansas, a firm then owned by Riady partner Jackson Stephens.

The Riadys are international bankers connected to organized crime and Red Chinese intelligence.

At the time, the now-defunct Spotlight led a successful campaign to kill the Clipper Chip menace. But a lame-duck Congress snuck in provisions authorizing technology for "back doors" to snoop in every computer and telephonic "bugs" capable of listening to every conversation in your house through telephones - even when the phones are hung up.

In 1994 Clinton signed the communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA) into law. Israeli companies, such as Amdocs Ltd. And Comverse Infosys, won the lucrative contracts to spy on every American. Senior government officials complained it made wiretapping on every American's phone easier. However, it also created a system that "is seriously vulnerable to compromise." The were concerned that those who ran it would be able to warn criminals when they are under investigation.

Ironically, President Clinton was bitten by the loss-of-privacy viper that he aided and abetted when he discovered all of his secret "sex talks" with Monica Lewinsky on the most secure telephones in the world - his own private presidential phone lines - were all monitored in real time and recorded by Israel's Mossad.

Are You in Control of Your Own Vehicle?

All those fancy gadgets that are being added to most new cars today allow for some pretty scary scenarios - even remote control of the vehicle via satellite connection.

This writer and her husband recently purchased a new truck. On the roof of our 2010 vehicle was mounted a small plastic "shark fin." It was black and was two-and-one-half inches tall from its base.

I liked everything about the truck except for this curious gadget that looked like a prop from the Jetsons cartoon. It stuck out like a sore thumb and ruined the looks of our truck. But that was the tip of the iceberg.

After a couple of days I pried the gadget off with an oyster knife. It was easy to pop off with no damage to the roof - save what was already done by the hole they drilled at the factory. The device was attached to three thick wires of different color: Brown, black and blue. I pulled the wires from the hole and cut them.

I set about dismantling the sturdy gadget. For something so small and apparently plastic, it weighed a lot. I was curious to see what was inside. The underside was heavy metal with a small white sticker. It had a bar code and a long number, and it had "Made In China" written on it. The trade name "RecepTec" was listed below the barcode. The base was riveted into the shark fin with one-way screws. They were machined-in deep with the kind of heads that few would have a screwdriver for. It struck me that whatever was inside had to be something they did not want us to know about.

The fin was encased in armor. So with my sturdy waterman's tool I went to work. Leaning into each screw, I turned the knife slowly. Sure enough, out they came, one-by-one, and there came the glint of gold bearing the name of Laird Technologies.

Inside the shark fin was concealed what looked like a computer circuit board with two chips. Apparently somebody invested big money and computer programming in this little gadget. There was a silver satellite antenna jutting into the hollow fin compartment that works with the GPS (global positioning system) tracker in the vehicle.

In the case of our truck, we got the low-end options package. Even so, our truck was equipped with an OnStar Network interface and satellite radio. The OnStar registraion was rabidly pushed by the salesman at the car dealer. A man even began the registration process without asking if it was even desired.

Based on its web site, Laird Technologies is the world leader in automotive smart antennas. They combine multiple radio frequency functions along with satellite tracking systems, data transmission by satellite, locks that key to fingerprints or retinal scans and audio communication via a discreetly placed microphone somewhere in the car.

Once OnStar has your name and vehicle in its database, the company can track your every move through satellites and cellphone towers. With a tiny microphone in your car. OnStar can eavesdrop at the click of a computer mouse. Representatives can even measure your body weight from the airbag device in the seats.

The convenient pretexts for all this privacy invasion are OnStar roadside assistance (the company will dial 911 for you, but you can dial it just as easily), Blue Tooth (you can get a headset for your cellphone and talk hands-free without BlueTooth, however), GPS that may not come with your car and satellite radio.

Telemetrics is even scarier. It put a computer in the driver's seat and the driver at the mercy of a computer. Your car doors can now be locked and unlocked remotely. Via wireless interface, your car can speed up, slow down or be turned off. This can be done in override mode per OnStar's theft-protection plan.

We've Done Enough Damage - It's Time to Come Home

Last week the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) published a report on the effect of civilian casualties in Afghanistan and Iraq that confirmed what critics of our foreign policy have been saying for years: the killing of civilians, although unintentional, angers other civilians and prompts them to seek revenge. This should be self-evident.

The central Intelligence agency has long acknowledged and analyzed the concept of blowback in our foreign policy. It still amazes me that so many think that attacks against our soldiers occupying hostile foreign lands are motivated by hatred toward our system of government at home or by the religion of the attackers. In fact, most of the anger toward us is rooted in reactions toward seeing their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and other loved ones being killed by a foreign army. No matter our intentions, the violence of our militarism in foreign lands causes those residents to seek revenge if innocents are killed. One does not have to be Muslim to react this way, just human.

Our battle in Afghanistan resembles the battle against the many-headed Hydra monster in Greek mythology. According to former Gen. Stanley McChrystal's so-called insurgent math, for every insurgent killed, 10 more insurgents are created by the collateral damage to civilians.

Every coalition attack leads to six retaliatory attacks against our troops within the following six weeks, according to the NBER report. These retaliatory attacks must then be acted on by our troops, leading to still more attacks, and so it goes. Violence begets more violence. Eventually more and more Afghanis will view American troops with hostility and seek revenge for the death of a loved one. Meanwhile, we are bleeding ourselves dry, militarily and economically.

Some say that if we leave, the Taliban will be strengthened. However, those who make that claim ignore the numerous ways our interventionist foreign policy has strengthened groups like the Taliban over the years. I've already pointed out how we serve as excellent recruiters for them by killing civilians. I have pointed out how our foreign and, to Pakistan specifically, makes it into Taliban coffers.

Of course we provided the Taliban with aid and resources in the1980s, when they were our strategic allies against the Soviet Union. For example - our CIA supplied them with Stinger missiles to use against the Soviets, which are strikingly similar to the ones now allegedly used against us on the same battlefield, according to those Wilkileaks documents.

As usual, our friends havea funny way of turning against us. Manuel Noriega and Saddam Hussein are also prime examples. Yet Congress never seems to acknowledge the blowback that results from our interventionism of the past.

Our war against the Taliban is going about as well as our war on drugs, or our war on poverty, or any of our government's wars - they all tend to create more of the thing they purport to eradicate, thereby dodging any excuse to draw down and come to an end. It is hard to imagine ever "winning" anything this way.

We have done enough damage in Afghanistan, but to the Afghan people, and to ourselves. It's time to reevaluate the situation. It's time to come home.

Black Ops Insiders Reveal Secrets

Most Americans haven't heard the terms "psy-warfare" or "psy-op," nor can they define these buzzwords. Both terms, with reference to world politics, terrorist events and war, connote in a layman's explanation that "things usually ain't what they appear."

According to a recent letter from an active operative, our government leaders have a plethora of "specialists" and are hiring, from time to time, any number of the tens of thousands of mercenaries—often retired Special Forces soldiers—who have made themselves available for secret duty in more than 40 countries. These "private contractors" commit unspeakable acts on orders from our own government leaders, many times against U.S. citizens.

"Often there are duties assigned to agent teams that some of us won't follow, due to a certain amount of concern for fellow Americans and patriotism for their own country," says a former U.S. military psy-op agent known to us only as "Sinbad." He cannot divulge his true name and credentials for reasons that will become even more obvious in this report.

He says that the U.S., the British and the Israeli Mossad are the best in the world at "misleading and misdirecting the focus of the masses toward selected evidence, subjects and targets."

For the past 30 years, retired Phoenix police officer Jack McLamb has published Aid & Abet, a monthly newsletter for the military and police to help educate them on the perilous New World Order, best defined as a calculated political and economic consolidation on a global scale. "Sinbad" is a regular subscriber, and the letter we speak of went to McLamb's Idaho office with permission to reprint but with the request that the original be burned. McLamb says he complied.

This writer also suspects that "Sinbad," because of the timeliness of his spending several paragraphs explaining the high-tech ability governments have in falsifying evidence, may have seen the story in the Aug. 2 edition of AFP on the recent plight of Idaho attorney Edgar Steele and the alleged "murder for hire" that reeked of an FBI setup and the framing of Steele.

"One successful use of our talents is in creating realistic but false videos, DVDs or audio recordings of individuals to be used as ‘evidence' of a crime," wrote "Sinbad" in his letter. "One of our easiest duties today, with all the new technology, is in creating this kind of false evidence."

As witnessed in Ruby Ridge in 1992, Waco in 1993, Oklahoma City in 1995 and the northeast United States on Sept. 11, 2001, false evidence presented by government leaders through the controlled and cooperative corporate media can quickly move the public's mind in the government's chosen direction.

What makes this misdirection work so well, explains "Sinbad," is that due to the strong personal moral code of average Americans, they just cannot believe that their leaders have no honor and no integrity. They can't imagine the depths of trickery and treachery to which their own leaders will stoop to deceive the world.

"Using new computer technology and taking a video and a voice print of you, Officer McLamb, in just a couple of hours, we agents could have you on TV dancing on top of a pile of dead Catholic nuns and shouting that you had just purchased 100 weapons of mass destruction from the Boy Scouts of America," wrote our source. "You name it, we can create it."

STEELE SET-UP?

In the Idaho case, this writer recently learned that Mrs. Steele heard the same shocking "evidence" on tape that was played for her husband while he was in jail. At the time, Steele was told that there were more tapes. A week or so later, she called the FBI with the request that she be able to listen to the other recordings and was told "those tapes aren't ready yet."

What could "not be ready" about tapes that were already recorded?

After hearing this, we had an hour-long telephone conversation with another longtime CIA operative experienced in all the aforementioned dirty tricks as well as MK-Ultra's half-century-plus practice of mind control.

After seeing news on Steele's situation, this former CIA agent wrote, "Steele is toast. He has been set up big time. With no personal knowledge of the case or participation in it in any way, I can tell you that I know a government frame when I see one, and this one is classic. I would bet my house on it. They wanted him, and they got him. His problem will be obtaining the original tapes, and if he can't get an expert to debunk those (because the tainted manipulation becomes ‘original' on the copy), then he will not get his head out of the noose. And this is why his wife was told what she was told. You can bet by trial time that the real originals will be nowhere to be found, and an FBI lying expert will be testifying to the authenticity of the phonies."

The trial has been reset for Nov. 1.

BP Whistle Blowers Paying High Price for Confessions

Oil industry critic Charles Hamel realizes the dangers facing those who expose the Gulf of Mexico cover-up. "These oil interests are very powerful. They'll stop at nothing to stop you," he has said.

A host of casualties prove his point. First is whistle blower Mike Mason, who worked for BP subcontractor Nabors Drilling. In 2005 he told investigators that BP regularly falsified blowout preventer (BOP) tests at Alaskan facilities.

His employer immediately fired him following these disclosures, but not before Mason reported to Hamel's Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission that BP's safety procedure is to "look the other way when it's convenient for them."

Hamel had been chronicling BP abuses since the 1980s, costing them millions in repairs to the Alaskan pipeline. As retaliation, journalist Marcus Baram reported on May 12 that a BP subsidiary in Alaska "hired a private security firm, Wackenhut, to conduct surveillance on Hamel." Their tactics included wiretaps and forced entries into his home. They watched his house and his family and even hired attractive women to try to persuade him to divulge his secret sources.

Hamel sued BP, Exxon and Wackenhut in the 1990s for harassment and invasion of privacy and reportedly settled for an undisclosed amount believed to be in the millions of dollars.

The Alaska connection continues with former Sen. Ted Stevens (R-AK), who died in an airplane crash on Aug. 9, 2010.

During two recent interviews, British film maker and 19-year oil industry veteran Ian Crane told this writer that Stevens had been a longtime BP crony on Capitol Hill. Further, after Stevens announced that his diaries and personal papers would be given to the University of Alaska, BP promptly offered $1 million to "catalog" these items.

Of particular interest once again is Hamel, who presented allegations of BP's dangerous cost-cutting methods to Stevens. These reports included Mason's accounts of BP blatantly falsifying BOP tests that eventually led to the Gulf of Mexico catastrophe.

Stevens most certainly knew of BP's underhanded practices, and that BP was also making dramatic cuts in safety and security procedures in its role as 47 percent owner of the Alaskan pipeline. As Alaska's "Man of the Century," Stevens loved his state, and the potentially explosive data contained within these files could easily lead to another embarrassing BP scandal.

The former senator's death in a plane crash is nothing new to our 49th state, with some coining the term "Alaska's Bermuda Triangle." Most notable was the Oct. 16, 1972 crash of U.S. Rep. Hale Boggs (D-LA) near Malaspina Glacier. As a Warren Commission member in the early 1960s, Boggs had later publicly expressed doubts over the official JFK single-shooter theory.

Shortly before his tragic demise, Boggs denounced FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover on the House floor, then later told an aide, "Hoover lied his eyes out to the Warren Commission—on Oswald, Ruby, their friends, the bullets, the gun, you name it."

Even more bizarre, the man who drove Boggs to the airport in Texas to begin a campaign tour was none other than future president Bill Clinton, who later amassed his own sizeable body count amid the infamous Clinton scandals.

Another passenger to die in the Boggs crash was Rep. Nick Begich (D-Alaska), whose son, Mark, eventually defeated the scandal-plagued Stevens for his senatorial seat in 2008. Coincidentally, Mark Begich's brother, Nick Jr., is a vociferous critic of the notorious HAARP program, which Stevens initially funded with earmarks in 1990.

HAARP is the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program in Alaska. The official HAARP web site claims the system's complex antenna arrays for transmitting in both low and high frequencies constitute benign research of the ionosphere, but critics maintain it has secretly been used to manipulate the weather and for other nefarious operations. HAARP itself, however, admits that it has both civilian and military uses.

Over the past few decades, investigators have revealed an undeniable number of anomalies in the Boggs crash, many of which have been ignored and suppressed by Boggs's own daughter, ABC News cover-up artist Mary "Cokie" Roberts.

Another suspicious death in recent weeks involved a questionable character named Matthew Simmons. As a Council on Foreign Relations member and past energy advisor to former President George W. Bush, Simmons pushed the peak oil theory, which led to skyrocketing prices during the Bush-Cheney era.

However, Crane revealed during interviews with AFP that Simmons made a startling charge in July. Specifically, he claimed that BP switched their live undersea camera feed from the gushing well, to one that had already been capped.

Simmons also stressed that BP's use of the chemical Corexit as an oil dispersant would produce wide-ranging health hazards in the Gulf of Mexico, and that government officials were downplaying the magnitude of this ecological calamity. Further, Simmons questioned BP's flow-rate under estimations, saying that there were other oil leaks in the seabed.

On Aug. 9, 2010—the very day that Stevens perished in a plane crash—Simmons was discovered dead in a hot tub at his home in Maine. Initial reports stated that he "drowned."

Crane, whose latest documentary is entitled "BP, Population Reduction & the End of an Age," wrote in his August newsletter, "The timing of Matthew Simmons's unfortunate demise could not be more opportune for BP, the U.S. government and the oil industry at large."

Finally, even BP's former CEO John Browne did not escape unscathed. He initially negotiated for the release of Pan Am Flight 103 "terrorist" Abdelbaset Al Megrahi to ensure BP's oil deal with Libya. Crane speculates that this move, along with Browne's ruthless business tactics, so enraged his Bilderberg counterparts that they sabotaged him by unveiling the details of a sordid homosexual prostitution scandal.

Browne was forced to resign, replaced by lackey Tony Hayward, who infuriated gulf residents with his callous disregard for life in that region.

Well-Financed Hate Group Frets Patriot Ranks Are Growing

More than 1 million Americans have joined the ranks of self-described patriots in recent months, according to estimates based on a study released Aug. 12 by an organization of left-wing extremists known as the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), whose main mission for decades has been the destruction of many good pro-America organizations like Liberty Lobby and its newspaper, The Spotlight. Now one of its main targets is AMERICAN FREE PRESS, lineal descendant of The Spotlight.

SPLC provided an advance copy to its public relations agency, Associated Press. AP cited 300,000 Americans who identify themselves "sovereign citizens"—not "citizens of the world," as President Obama and other Bilderberg-owned officials proclaim.

Of the 300,000 "sovereign citizens," AP smears them all by finding six people who claim no government exists above the county level—no states or nations. But if you examine 300,000 dry-Baptist preachers, you will find at least six drunks. Check out 300,000 Pentecostal preachers and you will find at least six having relations with altos in the choir. And patriots are "haters," too.

Reports AP: "Hate group monitors say their numbers have increased thanks to the recession, the foreclosure crisis, the growth of the Internet and the election of Barack Obama in 2008."

This is intended to feed the fantasy that patriots voted against Obama only because he is half black.

Obama is a self-proclaimed socialist who, for all of his adult life, is close friends with bomb-throwing terrorists who proclaim their hatred for the United States.

"Experts say sovereign citizens are the latest manifestation of anti-government activists going back to the days of the Posse Comitatus movement of the 1970s,"AP reports. In fact, the Posse Comitatus movement dates back to George Washington and other founders, none of whom would recognize today's America.

The SPLC cited IRS estimates that 250,000 protested income taxes in recent years. AP was unable to understand that this is a compliment, not a criticism. The federal income tax amendment was never properly ratified, according to constitutional scholars. And, if foreign aid and federal programs that are unconstitutional under the 10th Amendment's restrictive clause were eliminated, America would prosper and be debt-free, economists advise.

Mexican Police To Patrol NY Borough?

NEW YORK, New York — In a series of events which has caused wide notice and a storm of protests, the government of Mexico, through its consulate in New York in the United Nations, has announced it will begin patrolling the New York City borough of Staten Island to "safeguard" its nationals there.

The actions of Mexico come after a series of incidents the Mexican government terms "bias attacks."

Ironically, these so-called "hate crimes" have been perpetrated by blacks and Asians, indicative of rising tensions between various ethnic groups in the U.S. The Catholic Examiner and NBC New York both reported the Mexican government's intention to mount surveillance, patrol and police in and around the Staten Island community of Port Richmond, which in recent years has seen a large influx of Mexican illegal immigrants.

Since the Examiner's coverage, however, councilor officials, city hall and the local press have begun to carefully de-emphasize any possible role of Mexican law enforcement or military in efforts to secure the neighborhood.

Mexican officials have set up a neighborhood office and a local phone hot line for their nationals to report "bias incidents"—regardless as to whether they are in the United States legally.

New York City police had been monitoring the situation and investigating the reported assaults as local crimes. The actions of the Mexican government have caused Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly to order what many observers say is the most concentrated police mobilization since the World Trade Center disaster.

The main street of Port Richmond was swiftly transformed into what the New York Times described as a war zone like atmosphere with over 120 newly assigned officers, high-intensity night lighting, two huge "sky tower" police observation posts, frequent helicopter overflights and 20 police cars to watch the center of the relatively small neighborhood. Several long-term residents described it as a constant hornet's nest of activity.

Both published reports and residents say that reports of fights between Mexicans and other groups began years ago, in the late 1990s or early 2000s. Many charge the present round of incidents started in 2003 with one loss of life in 2006, which might not even be connected to the present series of events.

At a major community gathering held at the historic St. Phillips Baptist Church, speakers addressed the current situation in the neighborhood and the borough, while Mexican councilor officials looked on.

But while the Richmond anti-violence organization and assorted left-leaning journalists who attended may have been expecting a mea culpa from local residents, what they got instead was a blast of community push-back. Speaker after speaker from the black community told of horrendous conditions the largely illegal immigrants had brought to their community. Speakers described the pattern in communities affected by an influx of illegals.

Community residents, many of whom are black first-time homeowners, told of constant disputes, alcohol and drug sales, late night disruptions, trespassing and public urination.

Others in the audience, who declined to testify, spoke of men wearing clothes bearing symbols of La Raza, Aztlan and other militant pro-Mexican groups.

They also spoke of repeated attempts to summon the state liquor authority's enforcement agency to deal with the surging illegal liquor sales in the area, with little in the way of a response .

Floundering Mexico Engulfed in Nationwide Crime Wave

If this newspaper told you that the country of Mexico is ready to be buried under a tsunami of crime you might think that we are exaggerating. If The Washington Post and the president of Mexico tell you the same you will hopefully believe it. And yes, this is exactly what they are telling you, according to an aug. 14 Washington Post editorial.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon was presiding over a public conference in early August of this year to evaluate his own four-year war against the drug cartels of Mexico. According to his own admission the "war on drugs" is a tragic failure with 28,000 dead bodies since Calderon sent in the Mexican army to take care of business.

For just about every fay of these four years there was a confrontation between federal forces and the drug cartels, and everything says that the cartels are winning. The government was able to collect over 80,000 firearms. However, the gangs started to copy the tactics of Afghan guerrilla fighters, murdering children and civilians and detonating remote-controlled car bombs. General mayhem follows each pound of cocaine they bring to the U.S. market. At the same time they literally buy off 165,000 police officers with $1.2 billion each year.

The 1.3 billion American taxpayers contributed to the miserable failure of the Mexican war against the gangs could have been spent a lot better on our own border protection.

Sheriff Larry Dever from Cochise County in Arizona states clearly: The feds pulled the patrols out of the border area in many places because they decided it is way too dangerous for them to patrol there.

However, the problem is not with the men on the border, he added, but rather the management: "You have middle management and upper management that says: No, It's too dangerous right there and we're going to cause an international incident if there's shooting across the line, back and forth."

And he continued: "Well, I say: Come, bring it on. Let's cause the international incident."

While Calderon would be OK with tens of thousands of dead bodies, what worries him is the bold, changing attitude of the drug cartels. They are returning Mexico to the lawless chaos of the 19th century when government authority was almost nonexistent.

"The behavior of the criminals has changed and became defiance of the state, an attempt to replace the state," said Calderon.

In large areas of the country people pay taxes, or tribute, to the gangs - and not the Mexican government. The same process was played out in the late 1980s before the collapse of the Soviet Union. Criminal gangs took over, running small towns.

What makes the role of the U.S. government even more suspicious is the fact that they are systematically trying to bankrupt communities that refuse to go under the crime-ridden waves of aliens flooding our country. Thomas Perez, an assistant U.S. attorney general, was handed the power to twist arms and openly threaten the people of Maricopa County, Ariz. for getting out of line. Federal suits for "civil rights violations" have been filed, threatening to bankrupt the country.

Hazleton, Pa. Has already been bankrupted by the feds after paying legal bills in excess of $5 million. Still the danger to life and property is overwhelming and many local sheriffs are taking sides with their own.

In the sleepy town of Fort Hancock, Texas, Sheriff Arvin West spelled it out for his audience: "You farmers, I'm telling you right now, arm yourselves," and "As they say the old story is, it's better to be tried by 12 than carried by six. Damn it, I don't want to see six people carrying you." His speech was prompted by the complete takeover by gangs of the Juarez Valley area, across the border.

At the end we are back to the basic issue: The interest of the state versus the federal government. Who knows better what is best for the states? A bureaucrat in Washington, D.C. or the locals whose farms, businesses, future and very lives depend on law and order? After none years of hopeless war in Afghanistan we just might have to give up defending the endless poppy fields there and bring the Army home to defend our own borders.

Texas School District Allows Trained Staff to Carry Guns

A northwest Texas school district in a lonely stretch of Wilbarger County is going into its third school year with a policy that allows trained and licensed school staff to carry their concealed handguns in school. Superintendent David Thweatt, despite heavy scrutiny and some strong criticism, is undeterred in his belief that the students and staff are far safer because of this policy, especially in light of deadly shootings at schools and other locations over the years.

With another school year about to start, AFP traveled to meet Thweatt in his office on Aug. 9 at the Harrold School District, a place that made big headlines when this policy became widely known in the fall of 2008.

The first thing you se upon entering the stately old-style building is copies of the Bill of rights and Declaration of Independence hanging on the wall. Talking with Thweatt quickly reveals that he views this firearms policy in the larger context of constitutional principles and conservative ideas.

The entire K-12 student body consists of about 110 pupils. There are around 24 on the staff. Thweatt refuses to allow the students and staff to be completely defenseless if armed intruders were to enter the building. Federal "gun-free school zone" laws, he pointed out, are "open season" announcements to any criminals who may attack a school.

Texas being a "right-to-work" state, Thweatt has not had to deal with union committee agitation that may have scuttled such a policy in other states.

"God so loved the world he didn't send a committee," Thweatt remarked, adding that this policy was researched for nearly two years before enactment.

"There has not been another major school shooting since this hit the news," he said. Take that statement for what it's worth, he added.

State law allows the district to opt out of federal "gun-free" zones.

The policy, he said, has been well accepted by staffers. "I think the staff understood the need, being in an isolated area - 17 miles from law enforcement - that we had to have some kind of protection," he said. "I am big on autonomy. I let teachers do their job," which includes teaching about the U.S. Constitution.

While there have never been any shooting incidents at the Harrold school, Thweatt pointed to the terrible carnage at Columbine High School in Colorado in 1999, the more recent deadly shootings by a crazed Asian student at Virginia tech and fatal shootings this summer at a Connecticut brewery and a Buffalo, N.Y. restaurant as plenty of justification for a policy hat may strike some people as risky at the first glance.

The New York Times, the Associated Press and some of the national broadcast media assailed the notion two years ago. But other media, especially foreign media that ventured all the way to Wilbarger County, were more level-headed, Thweatt recalled.

Thweatt stressed that the exact manner in which the policy is carried out is kept confidential. He wants to maintain an element of uncertainty, so any would-be assailants would have no idea which, or how many teachers or other staff members are armed with concealed weapons.

Training t obtain a Texas concealed-carry permit is required. Background checks are routine. Frangible bullets are required that have sufficient stopping power but disintegrate upon hitting walls and other hard objects without passing through them.

For Thweatt, it's not just a matter of exercising the Second Amendment to the Constitution in this particular setting. He expressed a strong reverence for America's heritage.

Asked if his constitutionally minded outlook is common in Texas, he replied: "I think it's probably more so in rural communities. Texas has a lot of rural communities, and I think you're going to find more conservative values, especially in west Texas." He also said of the policy: "The only people who have pooh-poohed the idea at all have been from the liberal media and people who don't understand what it's like to be out here unprotected.

Regarding whether the same policy could apply in an urban setting, Thweatt replied, "Actually, I think it would. If you look at some of the data. When you're looking at the Fort Hood shooting, what did it take, three minutes? Virginia Tech took a whole nine or 10 minutes. We have some disturbing data, when it comes to police intervention to prevent a shooting."

When recalling how late the police have been in responding to shooting at various venues, Thweatt concluded by sying: "What I always say is: You are your own first responder, not the police."

A police officer told Thweatt in August 2008: "We don't get to the scene 95 percent of the tiime. We are there to write reports."

SPOTLIGHT ON CONGRESS

Tough Action by States on Immigration Forced Congress to Take Action Now  

This week, American Free Press has more good news to report ina follow-up to the Aug. 23 edition of "Spotlight on Congress," which detailed the $600 million immigration and border surveillance bill. Hours after AFP went to press on Thursday, Aug. 12, the senate passed compromise legislation, which left the meat of the border measure intact. The next day, the bill was sent to the White House, where President Obama promptly signed it.

Technically, only two senators voted on the compromise version of the bill - Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), who had sponsored S. Amdt.4593, and Ben Cardin(D-Md.), who presided over the vote. A previous version of the bill had already unanimously passed the Senate. But since the bill that passed the House was slightly different, a compromise needed to be passed. The Senate is currently in recess, so Republicans and Democrats agreed that Schumer and Cardin could go on record as unanimously passing the measure by voice vote. Hence, the compromise bill passed unchanged.

From start to finish, the border bill took only a week to pass through Congress and go to the White House for the president's signature, showing that Washington can come together on critical issues.

Also, the speed at which the measure traveled through the halls of power proves that Americans have the ability to pressure their elected representatives.

A new poll sows that the majority - 59 percent - of Americans wants Congress to pass immigration reform and address illegal immigration. Even 61 percent of Democrats believe Congress should "pass comprehensive immigration guidelines" immediately.

The truth is, though, Washington does not need to create new laws or pass any more guidelines. It just needs to get out of the way so that law enforcement can enforce the laws that are already on the books, that means shutting down the borders and sending those who are here illegally, home. It matters not whether they are from Mexico, El Salvador, China or South Korea - if they are not here legally, they need to go home.

Certainly adding to Washington's change of heart on immigration is the fact that states are now taking matters into their own hands to deal with the influx of illegal immigrants. Taking the lead from Arizona, state officials in Florida recently announced that state and local law enforcement would begin checking immigration status of anyone suspected of being an illegal immigrant. Also, legal immigrants in the state would be required to carry their documentation on them at all times or face jail time.

As AFP earlier reported, this new law is a step in the right direction in that it allocates $176 million for 1,000 new Border Patrol agents to head to the border, along with $89 million for an additional 500 support personnel. Another $196 million is being given out to help local law enforcement and prosecutors deal with the increasing number of crimes related to illegal immigration and drug trafficking. Finally, the measure provides $32 million for more pilotless, remote-controlled "drones" to operate along the border of Texas in the hunt for illegal immigrant smugglers and drug runners.

What has really shocked the cynical among us, however, was the fact that the plan to pay for the bill remained in the legislation. Congress expects to pay for the $600 million tab by increasing the fees on foreign companies that apply for H1-b visas so that they can bring foreign high-tech workers into the U.S.

Republicans Aiming To Alter Birth Status For ‘Anchor Babies'  

"We just can't have people swimming across the river having Children here says south Carolina senator.

A number of Republicans are calling for repealing parts of the 14th Amendment, which guarantee citizenship to anyone born in the United States.

The particular portion reads, in part: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside."

The debate is directed at so-called anchor babies - the children of illegal immigrations, who are born in the United States and become citizens immediately. That child can instantly qualify for welfare and other social services typically only provided to legal taxpayers.

According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), one of the leading immigration watchdog groups, the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act has further muddied the waters by granting a newly legalized child the right to sponsor other family members into the United States when he turns 21.

Just how many anchor babies are born in the United States?

It is difficult to get an accurate count by the very nature of illegal immigration. However, FAIR estimates that "there are about 363,000 children born to illegal aliens each year."

In some parts of the country, the majority of births are anchor babies. In 2003, in Stockton, Calif. For example, "70 percent of the 2,300 babies born in San Joaquin General Hospital's maternity ward were anchor babies," reports FAIR.

At this point, no legislator has introduced legislation to roll back the 14th Amendment, but it is still a hot topic.

"I'm not sure exactly what the drafters of the 14th Amendment had in mind, but I doubt it was that somebody could fly in from Brazil and have a child and fly back home with that child, and that child is forever an American citizen," Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) told reporters while discussing the issue.

"We just can't have people swimming across the river having children here," added Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-S.C.).

Sen. John McCain Has A Long History of Suspicious Activity

I am a constituent of Arizona Sen. John McCain, a 2008 presidential contender. I reside in the congressional district where he ran ofr Congress four years before the expected 1986 retirement of Sen. Barry Goldwater. McCain's career was modeled after that will-known republican maverick.

McCain describes himself as the leader of the party of Abraham Lincoln and maverick Ronald Reagan.

I knew Goldwater, albeit slightly. I served for seven years as counsel to the Senate Finance committee, leaving in 1987, the same year he retired. Mccain now holds Goldwater's Senate seat. Though branded a "maverick," that's no more accurate than the phony"hero" status in which McCain wraps himself along with the flag.

I met McCain in early June at a town hall meeting in Tempe, Ariz. He came to the Senate in 1987, just as I went inot law practice with retiring Sens. Russell Long of Louisiana, my boss, and Paul Laxalt of Nevada, who chaired Reagan's presidential campaigns.

At the town hall meeting, I sat up front to ask "my" senator a question. That question was the result of seven years of full-time research by a constituent into the impact on national policy-making of transnational organized crime, particularly in Arizona.

That background is chronicled in Guilt By Association where, as I explained to McCain, I took three chapters to summarize his mob-related history.

In Arizona, his true history is seldom mentioned. Don Bolles was the last person to write about the criminal syndicate that recruited McCain to replace Goldwater. Bolles was rewarded with six sticks of dynamite under his car. He lost both legs and an arm.

Before his death 11 days later, he identified John Adamson as the man who placed the charge. Adamson, in turn, identified Kemper Marley, the statewide liquor magnate and employer of gene Hensley, McCain's father-in-law to be. Bolles also implicated organized crime and Emprise, a New York sports franchise with which Hensley and his brother were associated through a racetrack they acquired in New Mexico.

By all credible accounts, this mob hit was ordered by Marley after Bolles's story forced his resignation from the state racing commission. New Mexico state police chronicled the Marley connection. Since the founding of the national crime syndicate in 1929, that service linked organized crime's far-flung gambling operations in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Cuba.

Its origins trace to Chicagoan Moses "Moe" Annenberg, the father of Walter Annenberg, Reagan's "best friend for 50 years" according to Nancy Reagan.

The same Ashkenazi "Chicago Outfit" that produced the early career of "conservative" Reagan also produced "liberal" Barack Obama when he first gained political prominence as an activist with Chicago's Annenberg Education Challenge. The grandfather and the great-grandfather of the top fundraiser for obama were lawyers for the outfit.

In truth, Bolles barely scratched the surface. The same outfit that put McCain in office also brought to Washington Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, a former governor of Arizona and prior to that, the state's attorney general.

Christian Zionist Sen Jon Kyle of Arizona teamed up with McCain and Jewish Zionist Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.) to market the lies that took us to war in Iraq.

Thus the reason for asking McCain to explain to his constituents why he met abroad with Russian-Jewish oligarch Oleg Deripaska, who, by age 40, had amassed $40 billion in assets defrauded from the Russian people.

First McCain denied meeting him other than at an annual conference in Davos, Switzerland. When pressed, he conceded that he and Deripaska shared a private dinner with Lord Rothschild V. At the time, Deripaska was banned from the United States due to his ties to Russian organized crime.

McCain declined to explain why he met with this mobster. Deripaska married into the family of Russian President Boris Yeltsin to perpetrate a national-scale fraud. Until our subprime mega-fraud, the financial pillaging of Russia was the largest heist in history.

Realizing he had said too much by revealing the Rothschild dinner, McCain changed the subject.

What was my impression as a constituent? Though stunned at the palpable weakness of his character, it was oddly comforting to hear him concede his role as an evildoer.

Few Believe Osama bin Laden Pulled off 9-11 Anymore

Like millions of other Americans my first reaction on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001 - upon learning of the events in New York city and at the Pentagon (not far from my home in Washington) - was to "reach out and touch someone." So I called my family in Pennsylvania, not far from there United Airlnes Flight 93 was soon to come to an untidy end.

My sister-in-law answered the phone, and I blurted out what was on my mind. "Well," I said, "they did it. They finally did it."

At that point, I was assuming Arab or Muslim terrorists - fed up with U.S. favoritism toward Israel - were responsible for the attacks they finally had had their fill, and were striking out, right here on American soil.

However, my sister-in-law didn't read my comments that way. Whe responded laughing and said, "Oh, you thik the Israelis did this?

Knowing I was a critic of Israel and the Jewish lobby in America, my sister-in-law was assuming I was blaming the Israelis for the actual attack itself.

And it was then that it hit me.

What my sister-in-law had presumed were my suspicions was precisely what I did believe, although, until that moment - surprisingly, in retrospect - I never realized it myself.

And I responded, "No, what I meant was that America's all-out pro-Israel policies resulted in a backlash by the Arabs and that Arab terrorists did this.

"But," I continued, "the more I think about it, I do believe Israel is behind this. They did this to turn America against the Arab world. This is precisely the kind of thing Israel's Mossad would do. And mark my words, there's going to be evidence that Israel was behind it, even if they cover up the truth, just as they did with the Kennedy assassination."

Now let it be said for the record that not all people who doubt the official U.S. government version of the events of 9-11 agree with my view that Israel was responsible. Even many folks who doubt the U.S. government have called me"anti-Semitic" for blaming Israel.

Many believe it was George W. Bush and the military-industrial-banker complex or the Illuminate or the CIA or the Council of Foreign relations or the committee of 300 or some other group (real or imagined) who pulled of that horrible crime.

In any case, on Sept. 11,2001 - along with my colleagues at the Capitol Hill office of American Free Press - I was glued to television and radio for the rest of the afternoon - with an occasional glance at the Internet - watching and waiting, wondering what was to come next. Certainly, the whole world was watching

I heard local news reports about a car bomb exploding near the Pentagon. Now, today, the official story is that "it wasonly a rumor." And I heard the local news reports describing a fire at the Old Executive Office Building, next to the White House. Today, again, that's just "another rumor." It seems that everything that didn't ultimately match the final official version of events was a "rumor" - more often than not, they said, "a rumor from the Muslim world." But, of course, this was just the beginning.

That historic day, I watched thousands of frightened federal workers streaming down Pennsylvania Avenue on Capitol Hill, on foot and in their vehicles, fleeing Washington into the suburbs, not knowing whether further attacks lay ahead.

This was quite a chiling sight, made all the more unsettling because it was a bright, sunny beautiful day, one of the most lovely days we had all summer - hardly a day (one would think) that could mark the first day of the last days of mankind.

That evening, as the sun was going down and I was making my way back up Pennsylvania avenue - going in the direction of the U.S. Capitol (now said to have been one of the original terrorist targets), I surveyed the eerily empty street before me andI turned to my colleague, Willis A. Carto, who was walking with me, and I commented, with a sigh, "Well, if there's one thing for certain, it's this: the world will never be the same again." Carto nodded his head and remarked with a somber look on his face, "You can say that again."

Today, nearly a decade later, despite all the debate over who was ultimately responsible for 9-11, I do know this one thing to be an absolute, undeniable fact: what we have officially been told as to "what happened on 9-11 is simply a lie. And all I can say is that, thank God, there was at least one American newspaper that had the guts to say that from the very beginning.

And that was American Free Press.

Big Brother Forces Telecoms to Assist in Eavesdropping  
CIA, private and foreign companies can monitor your communications without a warrant.

"The proposed agency has all the potentialities of an American gestapo," Sen. Edward Robertson (R-Wyo.) warned in the summer of 1947, in opposition to resident Harry S. Truman setting up the Central Intelligence Agency. That was according to author David M. Barret in his book, The DIA and Congress: The Untold Story from Truman to Kennedy.

In volume one of his own memoirs, Truman countered, "This country wanted no gestapo under any guise or for any reason."

But the year before JFK was taken out in an apparent joint CIA-Mossad "black op" - as documented in Michael Collins Piper's book Final Judgment - Truman reportedly lamented, "I never would have agreed to the formation of the CIA back in'47, if I had known it would become the American gestapo." But perhaps he knew all along what the CIA would become.

"Legal" and official organized crime, operating under the pretext of national security, was already growing like a cancer by the time of President Kennedy's demise. But now it threatens every person in our nation. The misuse of our own wealth to create tyrannical technologies, to take away all the inalienable rights given to us by our Creator, is what make those shadowy figures who control this terrible technology so dangerous.

AFP is documenting the frightening things the government is doing with our own money to spy on Americans. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and other agencies of the military evidently are working on mind-control technologies that make the existing subliminal techniques, such as MK-ULTRA, used in the past half century, seem almost harmless in comparison.

But this military-industrial-banking complex consists of far more than the CIA and other government agencies. The "private" technology companies - so intertwined with the government that it is impossible to tell where one begins and the other ends - may be even more dangerous.

Q-Tel is an investment front for the CIA. It has a track record of investing in and controlling technologies that have the potential to control every facet of out lives. Many of these companies are unheard of, but others are big names whose products and services are used by nearly everyone. If more Americans knew the plans, the documented records and the backgrounds of some of these titans of technology, hey could avoid these companies like an Ebola-infected monkey.

Interestingly, many of these companies, like Amdocs Ltd. And Comverse Infosys that gained the lucrative Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA) contracts, are Isreli companies.

Wikepedia, an information resource on the Internet, notes that CALEA "is a United States wiretapping law passed in 1994, during the presidency of Bill Clinton."

In its own words, the purpose of CALEA is: "To amend title 18, United States Code, to make clear a telecommunications carrier's duty to cooperate in the interception of communications for law enforcement purposes, and for other purposes."

Rev, Ted Pike of the National Prayer Network in a recent online column wrote: AT&T uses a company called Narus to keep records of everything said on their systems. Narus was founded by an Israeli entrepreneur in Israel with ties to Unit 800 (the NSA of Israel). "Verizon's spy system also relies on an Israeli company named Verint. The founder of Verint is an FBI fugitive who remains at large. Congress granted retroactive immunity to these companies (AT&T and Verizon) for allowing their systems to be used to spy on American citizens. Stated plainly, American consumers are subject to warrantless surveillance by Israeli-founded companies without congressional oversight or public knowledge!"

Thus a common denominator of this "technocracy" - who are interlinked in a de facto conspiracy to make global super-computer network powerful enough to be "like the mind of God" - have deep-seated ties to the police-state known as Israel.

D.C. Politicians Don't Know Meaning of ‘Fiscal Restraint'

It has been months now since the new healthcare reform bill was passed into law. As is so typical, this massive piece of legislation was passed with a sense of urgency so acute that leadership declared America could not afford to wait until legislators, their staff and the general public had time to read the bill.

The truth comes out eventually, however. Much like the recently discovered exemption from Freedom of Information Act requirements for the SEC that was slipped into the equally massive and "urgent" financial reform bill, we are finally seeing what other insidiousness has bee hiding in the fine print of the healthcare reform bill. It seems that all provisions in this poorly written and poorly conceived monstrosity need to be repealed as soon as possible.

One such disaster-waiting-to-happen is one of the revenue generating provisions used to claim that the healthcare reform bill was "paid for." Some $17 billion in additional tax revenues is supposed to come from an onerous new IRS reporting requirement that any taxpayer with business income who spends over $600 in one year with one business will have to report those expenditures to the IRS. Mind you, this is a cumulative total of $600 in transactions in one year. This will involve so much extra accounting and paperwork that the IRS claims it will be unable to deal with it effectively, and even the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, to whom it should be a boon, has come out against it. Apparently they realize they will actually lose customers, especially small businesses, to bankruptcy because of this.

Gold dealers are especially alarmed by this provision, as most of their transactions easily top $600. This represents a significant outlay of time and paperwork and no additional revenue for businesses with which to hire people. Not to mention this makes every business a de facto IRS agent, as if they didn't have enough to worry about already.

Of course, there is a tremendous outcry against this. Several other legislators also see how unreasonable this is and are trying to repeal it. However, this would simply mean that $17 billion in healthcare funding will have to come from somewhere else, and there are no good options. Taxes from some other bad collection scheme? Borrowing and more debt? Creating more money from thin air and adding to inflationary pressures?

The best answer, of course, would be to repeal the entire healthcare law, along wth all other unconstitutional spending. But Congress is more likely to continue the shell game to cover the fact that we are broke and can afford none of this.

This whole idea of paying for" new programs is a political euphemism that suggests that raising taxes is just as good as cutting spending since neither one increases the national debt. Raising taxes and overwhelming small business with paperwork and regulations still increase the governmental burden on our fragile economy. But this is our government's idea of "fiscal restraint" in action. Washington needs to stop creating new programs and spending so much money. That would be true fiscal restraint.
