Bilderberg 2005 (Special Report)
May 30, 2005
A former Republican Party insider turned Bush basher thinks he has stumbled across what may be the "smoking gun," proving the U.S. government's official story about the WTC attacks is an "unequivocal lie."
Karl Schwarz of Little Rock, Ark., who several years ago began exposing corruption amongst the neo-conservative movement in a book entitled A One-Way Ticket to Crawford, Texas, now has set his sights on proving government complicity in 9-11.
For years, the successful business entrepreneur and conservative Republican, once asked by the RNC to run against Bill Clinton for Arkansas governor, has been using his inside political and business clout to expose corruption among the neo-cons in the Bush administration.
He strayed away from the Bush agenda two years after being one of the lead orchestrators in the Republican Party takeover of Congress during the Clinton administration.
"I designed the strategy that took the House and Senate from Clinton," recalls Schwarz, also a strong supporter and strategist for President George H. W. Bush. "I designed that takeover two years before I realized the Republican Contract with America' was actually a Contract on America.' "
After his political reawakening, Schwarz began blasting the neo-cons where it hurt mostin their pocketbookscoming forward with evidence regarding oil deals and government involvement with the Taliban and Pakistan.
In his book and his ongoing seven-part series of articles entitled "Pop Goes the Bush Mythology Bubble," he provides inside information about countless financial scams, essentially revealing that the Bush motive behind the Middle East invasion was more about oil profits than the war on terrorism.
Saying the neo-cons within the government are destroying America for their own corporate-global benefits, Schwarz doesn't mince words and is calling for the impeachment of Bush, as well as removal of any member of Congress who aids and abets the corrupt powers.
Now, moving away from financial corruption, he has turned his attention to the 9-11 truth movement, saying he has found a piece of obscure video footage that shows that the government lied about what type of plane struck the south tower of the WTC.
Schwarz admits he had a "whole lot" of luck when running across the video footage in a French foreign film entitled The Barbarian Invasion.
Contained in the film unrelated to 9-11, is a 1 minute, 52 second, video segment, shot by an unknown amateur photographer at the WTC, which Schwartz says clearly shows a Boeing 737 airliner striking the south tower.
"We tracked down the film maker and he acquired the original WTC segment from the Canadian News Service," said Schwarz, adding that he has had the tape analyzed by experts proving it's not a fake. "We are tracking down the original photographer and want to get to him before the government does in order to prove its authenticity.
"This segment, however, conclusively shows a 737 hit the south tower, not a 767 as previously reported. This in itself should be the smoking gun, which proves the whole story given to us by the government about 9-11 is untrue."
Originally, the government claimed the second jetliner en route to Los Angeles was a Boeing 767. However, Schwarz said the video will not only show the airline dimensions to be those of a 737, but that he also has evidence that the engine recovered in the WTC wreckage was a model type CFM56, which propels a 737, not a 767.
"Not even two CFM56's could get a 767 off the ground,"
added Schwartz.
Besides 9-11, Schwartz said three major areas that need to be
thoroughly investigated regarding the Bush administration's present
policies include:
" Administration ties with Afghanistan, the Taliban and the Bridas Corp. Schwarz claims a high-ranking Bridas executive is one of his main sources, implicating the Bush administration with corruption involving the Taliban and the Afghan invasion.
" Information implicating 9-11 commission members with direct and indirect financial benefits due to the Bush policies in the Middle East.
"Whistle blowers Sibel Edmonds, Karen Kwiatkowski and others whom I cannot disclose without jeopardizing their safety, including many members of the armed services, have acted as my main sources," said Schwarz.
Asked how he would describe himself, since many critics may consider him a disgruntled Republican, he said:
"I am conservative, fiscally responsible, an ecumenical Christian and an American patriot who clearly understands fascism and clearly sees this is exactly what is going on within the Bush administration.
"To answer my critics, they can say whatever. However,
those who read my book will clearly see that the main problem
now facing America has been caused and amplified by the last three
presidential administrations, Bush I, Clinton and Bush II."

Both Vice President Dick Cheney
and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld reassured members of the
Trilateral Commission, meeting in Washington April 15-18, that
they anticipated no invasion of Iran. Rumsfeld further assured
Trilateralists that Iraq "will not be another Vietnam"
with "combat troops on patrol 10 years from now," Trilateral
sources said.
However, they stressed the qualification "combat patrol,"
indicating that troops may remain for logistical duties.
Rumsfeld has participated with the Trilaterals and its brother group, Bilderberg, as a White House aide under President Ronald Reagan and as defense secretary under the current President Bush.
Bilderberg and the Trilateral Commission have interlocking leadership and a common agenda. David Rockefeller and Henry Kissinger are leaders of both groups. The Trilaterals' European chairman, Peter Sutherland, head of Goldman-Sachs International, is also a Bilderberg leader. Former House Speaker Tom Foley is the TC's North American chairman.
Appearances by Cheney, Rumsfeld and other administration officials were viewed as top secret. The appearances were not listed on their public schedules, not even as involving a "private group." There were no transcripts available, which is routine in normal functions.
The U.S. invasion of Iraq created the first serious dissent among participants from the United States and Europe in both the Trilateral Commission and Bilderberg. On all other major issues, including empowering the United Nations to directly tax the citizens of the world as a crucial enhancement of its evolving as a world government, both groups are united and collaborating.
Cheney spoke on "policy directions for the U.S. administration" on April 16. Rumsfeld addressed the 300 Trilaterals shortly before they headed for the airports Monday afternoon.
Paul Wolfowitz, deputy secretary of defense and president-elect of the World Bank, addressed the TC's dinner meeting April 17. Wolfowitz assured everyone that the United States would be a "willing partner" in helping "developing nations" enhance their economies, meaning more American tax dollars would be shipped to poor countries.
Following Cheney's speech on opening day, David Gergen provided an "analysis of the American electorate." He warned that "nationalism" remains a strong force in America and selling the idea of surrendering sovereignty to the UN will be difficult. In TC and Bilderberg dictionaries,"nationalism" is an obscenity.
Gergen is professor of public service at the John Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He is of no fixed ideology. Gergen voted for Hubert Humphrey in 1968 but worked for President Richard Nixon and later for President Bill Clinton.
"The rise of China and its impact on global governance" was the subject of a panel led by Yotaro Kobayashi, TC's Pacific Asian chairman.
Other panelists were Ren Xaio, director of the Department of Asian-Pacific Studies at the Shanghai Institute for International Studies, and Yuan Ming, director of the Institute for International Relations at Peking University.
They discussed a prospective "Asian-Pacific Union" similar to the European Union and the evolving "American Union" as NAFTA expands throughout the Western Hemisphere. The dollar is to be the common currency of the "American Union."
It has long been the Bilderberg-TC goal to divide the world into three great regions for the administrative convenience of the world government.
Kissinger participated in a panel on "searching for a new Trilateral partnership." Bill Emmott, editor of The Economist of London, joined a discussion on "community building in East Asia, holding his vows of secrecy loftier than his duty as a journalist. Thomas Pickering of the Boeing Co. participated in a panel on "understanding the Muslim world."
Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan addressed the Trilaterals on the subject "resolving global currency and trade conflicts." Greenspan suggested that it would be difficult to increase the U.S. income tax in the "current political atmosphere in Washington." He said interest rates would gradually rise.
The only other coverage of the meeting appeared in The Washington Times. Reporter Joseph Curl overheard Francois Sauzey of Paris, a member of the TC staff, complain that "Everyone's beating up on France because of the coming referendum."
Sauzey was referring to several polls in France that indicate voters will reject the proposed European Union constitution, a reversal of public sentiment. If just one nation rejects it, the constitution dies.
An internal TC document obtained by AFP said "Europeans must be more explicit, privately if not publicly, in committing themselves to sanctions if Iran resumes its uranium enrichment program. For its part, the U.S. needs to engage the Iranians not just on the economic front but also on questions of regional security."
Israel is pressing the United States to attack Iran, which has missiles that can strike Israel.
The document was produced by the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. It was authored by Giuliano Amato, former prime minister of Italy; Harold Brown, secretary of defense under President Jimmy Carter; Carla Hills, U.S. trade representative under President George H. W. Bush; and George Robertson, former secretary-general of NATO and long-time Bilderberg luminary.
"When both the U.S. and Europe face profound economic challenges from China, India and other rising economies, a high-level political commitment at the U.S.-EU summit in June to reduce regulatory and other non-tariff barriers to transatlantic trade and investment could bring long-term improvements to the competitiveness and growth of the U.S. and European economies," the document said.
"Summit" was probably a reference to the Group of Eight meeting of heads of state from the industrialized nations, scheduled July 6-7 (not June) at the Gleneagles resort in Scotland.
Another internal document, obtained by the Times, was entitled "Trilateral Memorandum No. 8" and dealt with the continuing skirmish between Japan and China. It was issued by Akira Kojima, a TC member and chairman of the Japan Center for Economic Research in Tokyo. Relations soured because of revisionist Japanese textbooks that China claims fails to address atrocities committed in World War II. Kojima appears to share China's views. He wrote:
"Japan still has a history of government textbook approval, and this misguided system is at the root of these unnecessary misunderstandings and must be abolished."
The memo called Japan's prime minister, Junichiro Koizumi, "a peculiar character in that he is basically stubborn. If he is criticized for one thing, he intentionally sticks to it and repeats it."
This year, the Trilaterals returned to their earlier policy of trying to keep their gathering secret. Its Washington office angrily refused to say when and where they would meet.
The huge staff refused to provide papers and the only working journalist on the scene was under constant surveillance.
"The Trilateral Commission's meetings have inspired conspiracy
theories of powerful puppeteers who secretly pull the strings
of world power as they seek to establish a new world order,"
the Times story said. "The theories are based partly on fact."

Estimates of the numbers of U.S. jobs that will be moved overseas in the next decade can range from six million to 14 million but one conclusion not in doubt in all surveys into outsourcing is that Americans are not being told the whole truth about the scale of the problem.
According to Goldman Sachs, six million American jobs will be transferred overseas in the next decade. But a survey conducted at the University of California at Berkeley puts the total at 14.1 million.
Either way, the cost to the U.S. economy will likely be in the hundreds of billions of dollars and the cost to millions of American families will be heartache and unemployment.
In just one employment sector - call centers - 300,000 jobs will end up in India and the Philippines over the next four years.
Already, companies that include HSBC, Citibank and General Electric have established call centers abroad. And, as researchers have discovered, the estimates for outsourced jobs do not include jobs likely to be moved to what is called "near-shore" - Latin American countries like Mexico.
While figures on future job losses vary, all investigators have found that when they asked the federal government, the white House and the hundreds of American companies setting up shop overseas for data on outsourcing, all they got was silence.
In fact there was a distinct lack of transparency in respect to labor statistics. For a start, there was no federal government department tasked with tracking the outsourcing of jobs and the White House preferred the public to believe that outsourcing was a media myth.
And to that end, Republican mouthpieces like the Heritage Foundation tried, in a somewhat contradictory way, to convince the rest of us that not only was outsourcing a myth but it had "little net impact."
Of course, the same foundation, while denying the existence of outsourcing also argued that it symbolized economic "efficiency."
The hundreds of companies and corporations that are part of outsourcing show no desire to be truthful about their role in providing employment in India and China at the expense of American workers. Many firms have been unwilling to provide figures for the numbers of jobs they have outsourced because they fear that being publicly identified with this trend could damage their image. Some may fear that admitting to a role in outsourcing could lead to a boycott by ordinary Americans aggrieved by massive job losses.
TALKING REAL NUMBERS
Evidence of the potential for outsourcing was available as far back as 1998 when statistics showed the U.S. was losing its status as the country with the largest number of students annually awarded degrees in the natural sciences and engineering.
In 1998, 200,000 student in the United States were awarded degrees in those categories but China and India matched that number.
The significance of the figures was that India and China had each rapidly closed a technology gap with the United States by building a specialized technology workforce.
And now in 2005, India has one of the most advanced technical work forces in the world, handling over 85 percent of the outsourced American information technology, or IT market. It is believed that within three to four years, India's IT exports to America may well exceed $50 billion.
In 2003, a Merril Lynch survey explained why it had become more profitable to hire computer programmers outside of the United States.
In that year, the American salary for a programmer was in the $60,000 to $80,000 range. In contrast, India, China, the Russian Federation, Malaysia, Philippines, Poland and Hungary were all in the $4,000 to $8,000 range. A similar salary disparity applied to a long list of jobs involved in Internet and other technology processes.
In the cases of China and India, by 2003 those countries had evolved into areas with low salaries and large higher education sectors, making them attractive to the U.S. service sector. In India, one of the distinct benefits of its educated work force was its familiarity with English usage.
For evidence of how much damage has been done so far to the U.S. economy by the transfer of jobs abroad, you have to rely solely on surveys by Business Week, Goldman Sachs, economy.com, Forrester Research and UC Berkely.
Economy.com puts job losses at almost 1 million but most experts believe even that figure is low.
The origins of the outsourcing of manufacturing jobs can be traced back to the firs Bush administration. It quickly became a trend that gained greater momentum during the clonton era and has since increased unabated.
Public attention was drawn to the problem after it became clear that over one million jobs were lost in the United States between 2001 and 2003.
Researchers found the jobs were in specific sectors - computers, electronic products and professional and business services, including call centers and computer help-lines.
Other areas affected ranged from Internet service providers to software publishing data processing, payroll services and medical transcription.
Of the jobs lost, one of the worst states hit was California where 200,000 were eliminated in the past few years.
A recent study conducted by Kate Bronfenbrenner, a labor expert from Cornell's Industrial and Labor Relations School, helps explain the scale of the outsourcing.
Ms. Bronfenbrenner and fellow researchers looked at 48,417 jobs lost between January and March 2004. For that same period, the Bureau of Labor Relations only admitted to a job loss of 4,633 in the private sector, a figure Ms. Bronfenbrenner charged was a "gross underestimation."
Faced with no government statistics for jobs outsourced, Ms. Bronfenbrenner and other Cornell researchers nevertheless assembled enough data that eventually pointed to a potential job loss of several hundred thousand in 2004.
They also found that unemployed American workers were denied compensation after their white-collar service jobs moved overseas. That was because information-type jobs did not generate a "product" and therefore did not command compensation under the Department of Labor's Trade Adjustment Assistance program.
The Cornell team also learned that of the 48,417 jobs lost between January and March 2004, 23,396 went to Mexico, 8,283 to china and 3,895 to India. The remainder of the jobs found their way to other Latin American and Asian countries. The states that suffered the greatest losses were Illinois and Michigan.
If the UC Berkley survey's projected job loss of 14.1 million is correct, and few organizations seem to doubt it, then between 10 percent to 15 percent of the American workforce will be at risk of losing their jobs over the next decade. Those most at risk of losing their jobs over the next decade. Those most at risk will be workers whose jobs involve computer tasks such as data entry, data processing and transcription. In fact, any job connected to a product which can be moved electronically will be vulnerable.
Statistics provided by organizations concerned about outsourcing claim that 3,200 manufacturing jobs are transferred overseas every 24 hours, resulting in a net loss of 1.2 million jobs per annum.
NATIONAL SECURITY
One issue lost in the debate is the security risk posed by the transfer of personal information about American citizens to companies in India, China, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Not only is identity theft rife in many of those countries but those with access to personal data on tens of millions of Americans cannot be monitored by U.S. security agencies. Information being held by foreigners includes email addresses, tax information, bank accounts and Social Security numbers.
CAN ANYTHING BE DONE?
Many observers of the outsourcing phenomenon are perplexed by the refusal of the Bush administration to publicly debate or to curb the job transfers. For some critics, it appears obvious to all but the White House that America cannot continue to lose jobs at home in order to provide work for the rest of the world.
Before the last presidential election, Bush claimed America was creating more jobs than his critics argued. What he failed to add was that those jobs were lower-paid and lower-skilled than the ones that had been moved overseas.
In effect, the Bush administration's policy regarding outsourcing can best be compared to its willingness to allow China to flood America with cheap consumer products while China and countries like India have in place protectionist policies to ensure the security and well-being of their own workers.
The result is that every Chinese product bought in America damages our manufacturing base and every job outsourced further weakens our middle class.
Chinese imports are also providing China with a massive dollar surplus, which it spends on modern weaponry that someday could be used against the U.S. military should a war break out in the Taiwan Straits.
Opponents of outsourcing are beginning to argue that all U.S. companies involved in moving jobs overseas, where there are low wages and even lower taxes, should pay heavy duties on their profits when they transfer them to the United States. In other words, outsourced profits should be regarded as imports.
It has also been suggested that if American companies were forced to pay the same benefits to workers in Third World countries, as they are required to pay at home, they would be more likely to keep the jobs at home.
There are members of congress who feel the U.S. should follow
the example of China and India and put in place measures ant tariffs
to protect American workers rather than providing those countries
with unfettered access to U.S. markets, especially at a time when
China is deliberately, and contrary to WTO rules, keeping its
own currency low by refusing to float it. "If successful,
that kind of protectionism, although inefficient from the point
of view of the economy, may result in the retention of some of
the outsourceable jobs," noted the survey.

ROTTACH-EGERN, GermanyEuropean Bilderberg hunters have found
the hiding place of this secretive cabal at a posh resort in this
charming little city 40 miles from Munich. Their annual meeting
is May 5-8.
Bilderberg is gathering at the Dorint Sofitel Seehotel Ueberfahrt, a five-star conference and business hotel with 188 luxury rooms. It is on a lake and near a golf coursetypical Bilderberg requirements. High officials of the U.S. government and possibly a few congressional leaders will participate in three days of secret meetings to plan global policy. Heads of state and other high officials from Europe and Britain will participate, along with world financiers.
David Rockefeller and his valet, Henry Kissinger, are longtime
Bilderberg regulars. Donald Graham, publisher of The Washington
Post, and associate editor Jimmy Lee Hoagland regularly attend,
upon their promise to report
nothing.
The New York Times, LA Times and all major networksABC, CBS and NBChave participated. All participants are sworn to secrecy. Bilderberg denies its existence, and all the resorts at which they hold their meetings require their employees to lie and deny they are present.
Three times the Dorint told AFP they were fully booked but that Bilderberg was not there. All but Bilderberg participants and their staffs, wives or, in some cases, someone else's wife, will be required to leave. The hotel staff will be warned to reveal nothing of what they see and hear.
Armed guards will patrol not only the main entrance but the perimeters.
Exposing Bilderberg meetings has provided advance warning months ahead of the mainstream media of U.S. wars, tax increases, and the downfall of Margaret Thatcher as prime minister of Britain, among other exclusives.

A motion to dismiss the federal RICO lawsuit against President Bush and others alleging complicity in the Sept. 11 attacks met heavy resistance in late April by Plaintiff William Rodriquez. Rodiguez urged the court to allow the case to proceed as defendants, including Bush, have, he said, lied repeatedly about any advanced warnings of the WTC attacks.
Rodriguez's attorney Phil Berg cited "lie after lie," urging the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District to hear the case despite strong government pleas citing national security concerns as well as the court's lack of jurisdiction to hear such a conspiracy claim.
The court listened to oral arguments and took written briefs from both parties under advisement on April 22 in Philadelphia, where the case was filed, and is expected to make a ruling in the coming weeks.
Berg said the government's legal motions are baseless and just another attempt to silence "anyone trying to get at the truth behind 9-11.
"I am swamped, overworked, understaffed and way underfunded," said Berg from his Philadelphia law office. "Despite the Bush administration efforts to keep this case silent or change venue to New York, where I am not licensed, the judge gave me great latitude in allowing me to argue my case and permitted me to state critical evidence. However, until these various motions are resolved, we cannot enter into the nuts and bolts of the official discovery process."
Some of the critical evidence allowed by the judge at the motion hearing involved Berg's allegations about the incessant lies told by Bush and other government higher-ups concerning pre9011 warnings.
Berg told the court bluntly: "If there was no government complicity in the 9-11 attacks, why have defendants lied repeatedly about abundant advance warnings?"
He added that many of the defendants have lied publicly, including Bush in a statement made to NATO on Sept. 16, 2001 - just days after the attack - his statements now proven to be categorically misleading and false.
"Never did it occur in anybody's thought process about how to protect America, did we ever think that the evildoers would fly not one, but four commercial air craft into precious U.S. targets...Never,' said Bush.
Berg added that Press Secretary Ari Fleischer also lied in a May 16, 2002, press statement when he announced: "The president did not receive information about the use of airplanes as missiles by suicide bombers. This was a new kind of attack that had not been foreseen.
Adding to the enormity of the lying, Berg cited a statement made by Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to the entire nation on Sept. 30, 2001.
"Never would it have crossed anyone's mind that a commercial airliner would be used as a missile. Usually a hijacker who takes an airplane, of course, wants to get someplace or wants to make a statement or wants to go on television or wants to hold hostages, but this Alleged suicide attacks using hijacked airplanes is a distinctly different behavior pattern than we have seen previously, and now, obviously, something we have to be attentive to."
Further, Berg added that Transportation secretary Norman Mineta also lied to the 9-11 commission on May 23, 2003, when he said: "I don't think we ever thought of an aircraft being used as a missile. We had no information of that nature at all.
In a passionate plea, Berg called the court's attention to one more obvious lie made to the 9-11 Commission.
"Shocking, in light of very recent revelations, is the following false testimony to the Commission by FAA Administrator Jane Garvey, as reported by UPI: I was not aware of any information about airplanes being used as weapons that was credible.'"
Berg then in his written brief attacked the Bush administration in more general terms, citing a climate of arrogance existing throughout the halls of Government.
"The above lying was done, no doubt, with absolute confidence on the part of the liars in their own immunity, as the same was not done under oath. However, the brazenness of senior administration defendants is not deterred by the penalties of perjury. Both houses of Congress are under Republican control. A majority of the United States Supreme court has shown its partisan colors, in installing George W. Bush as president in the first place.
"The major media, owned by a handful of corporations, some of which like General Electric, the owner of NBC, are even profiting from the war in Iraq. The only way to now get at the truth is by the legal process, which the government also seeks to silence."
Rodriguez, a maintenance worker on duty at the World Trade Center on8-11, originally filed the lawsuit in October 2004 against Bush and 52 others in government, alleging they had prior knowledge or actively planned the attacks in order to launch wars against Afghanistan and Iraq.
The extensive 237-page civil complaint, under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO, claims Bush and others engaged in racketeering activity in violation of 18 U.S.C. Section 1962c. The compliant seeks relief for Rodriguez based on 13 counts, including misprision of a felony, misprision of treason, relief under the Anti Terrorism Act, relief under the War Crimes Act and relief for and from Crimes against Humanity.
Since the case has been opened the government has attempted at every turn to dismiss the action, hoping Berg, who is working alone, will run out of energy or financial resources to continue.
"Now is the time to stand tall together and bring back our freedoms as they stood under the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and the constitution of the United States," Berg said.
Berg claims a web of government deceit and financial backing continues all the way up to the days just preceding 9-11 as witnesses will testify, and records will reveal that the alleged hijackers were actually on the government payroll.
The complaint goes on to say that the defendants deliberately concealed the fact that they had ample warnings of terrorist attacks and failed to act on them, in order to carry out a full-blown war of terrorism as a means to justify their neo-conservative political goals.
Regarding 9-11 itself, the Rodriguez action aims to prove the following main points:
" The World Trade Center twin towers, as well as WTC Building No.7, were destroyed by a controlled demolition, as clearly proven by the laws of physics, and that this demolition could have only been an "inside job."
" An unprecedented nationwide "ground stop" order and stand-down of NORAD must have had White House approval since it prevented even the military from flying, allowing the 9-11 attacks to proceed without interruption.
" The defendants conspired to and did allow the attacks to happen by delaying military interceptions of the hijacked planes.
The crash of Flight 93 in Somerset County, Pa., raises serious additional questions that will show that it was actually shot down by government fighter jets and not brought down due to a struggle in the cockpit.
FEMA, which quickly removed the WTC, Pentagon, and Flight 93
debris before they could be independently examined, maintains
a "black-op" shadow government designed to replace the
elected government of the United States.

Leaders of the Minuteman Project to protect the southern border were welcomed to Washington as heroes April 27. "You are doing an enormously important job," said Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.), chairman of the House Immigration Caucus. "You are real heroes - each of you represent literally millions of Americans" who want the border protected from illegal immigrants.
Many of the lawmakers and Minutemen participants wore buttons identifying them as belonging to the "undocumented border patrol." This was a poke at the euphemistic reference to illegal aliens as "undocumented."
President Bush should "meet these people he called vigilantes' and apologize," Tancredo said. Without the Minuteman Project, he said recent House legislation to make illegal immigration more difficult "would not have happened." Rep. Virgil Goode (R-Va.) said illegal aliens cost taxpayers $68 billion a year and keeping them out would help balance the budget.
"Every American should tell Congress to stop talking of amnesty and enforce the law" on illegal immigration, said Rep. J.G. Hayworth (R-Ariz.)
Rep. Scott Garrett (R -N.J.) Said he has introduced legislation to prohibit banks from accepting Mexican consular cards as identification. If here illegally, he said, "you should not be able to use our federal and state banking system."
Immigration will be "the political issue of 2006,"
said Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.). "You are heroes," he
told the Minutemen. "Thank you."

A nationwide petition drive is in the works to demand that
Congress take action to close the nation's
porous
southern border with Mexico and stop illegal aliens from crossing
into the United States. The drive is being supported by congressmen
from the southwest, including Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.) And
Rep. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.), whose states are inundated with illegal
aliens and drug traffickers.
All Americans concerned about the massive flow of illegals into the United States can participate in the petition program by visiting the web site, reformus.com.
The petition campaign came in the wake of controversy
stirred up by California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R), who called
for the federal government to close down the border with Mexico
Schwarzenegger's comments drew considerable attention from the
mainstream press, prompting him to town down his demand. Later,
he reworded his original statement, instead calling for the federal
government to "secure" the border.
American Free Press has learned that Schwarzenegger may be venturing to Washington to discuss the border crisis with members of Congress and the White House.
Currently, there is a pending Senate bill that would add $400 million to efforts directed at halting the alien invasion.
In the past, it was proposed that 2,000 border Patrol officers be hired to help stem the flow of illegals, but the Bush administration pared the number down to 210.
Since Bush took office in 2000, the number of illegal aliens crossing into the United States has actually increased by 25 percent. And even after the Sept. 11 attacks, the White House failed to pursue tough policies that would effectively close the border and prevent potential terrorists from sneaking into the United States.
Today, illegal aliens are coming over in such numbers that local and state police are unable to do anything about them. Rounding them up and detaining them would overwhelm local jails. Federal officials have resisted taking aliens into custody because of their own shortages of manpower and facilities.
When illegals are taken before the court, typically, their cases are scheduled for a later date. But when they are supposed to appear before the judge, instead, they just never show up.
Across the nation, local and state police, in most instances, simply give tickets to illegals for breaking driving laws and allow them to go on their way, knowing that federal authorities won't do anything anyway.
Immigration experts contend that nothing is being done to stop the invasion for two reasons" (1) lack of facilities and manpower to deal with them, and (2) politician's unwillingness at the national level to enact legislation that will curb the flow of aliens. Politicians of both parties are fearful that closing the border and doing anything to curb the influx of illegals will have a negative impact upon the Hispanic vote.
Bush is particularly aware of this, having courted the Hispanic vote in Texas, where he served as governor. He followed through with this in his two runs for the presidency.
Schwarzenegger and the other governors of border states are concerned about the negative impact the massive flow of illegals in having on their economies.
As an example, Schwarzenegger is concerned because California faces an $8 billion budget deficit, half of which is caused by social services and other costs related to impoverished illegal aliens.
On the other hand, cities such as Austin, Tex. And Santa Fe, N.M. have become sanctuaries for illegals, by allowing them to remain without fear of being apprehended.
In other cities the police have resorted to taking illegals to bus stations and buying them tickets to leave town, allowing them to choose wherever they want to go in the United States.
Recently, Gov. Bill Richardson
(D-N.M.) vetoed a bill enacted by the New Mexico legislature that
would have made the entire state a safe haven for illegal. As
might be expected, politicians in New Mexico were seeking to woo
the Hispanic vote.
The New Mexico legislation was backed by the American Civil Liberties Union and other groups.
Richardson, a former UN ambassador under Bill Clinton, is hardly
a conservative, but he realized the legislation would encourage
illegals to flock to New Mexico.

Next January, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan's term ends and it will be our boy president's job - with the advice and consent of his manipulators - to name a successor.
This will be something like Condoleezza Rice trying to choose the successor to Vladimir Putin, president of Russia, because Mr. Bush has about as much authority over the Fed and she has over the Kremlin.
As all who have studied the privately owned and controlled Fed know, it is a creature of international capitalists and is owned and operated for their private profit, with only enough attention paid to any other consideration to guarantee the obligarchs' freedom and permanent dominance.
Too strong a statement? In the eyes of some, such a declaration is only proof of this newspaper's extreme views. But is it extreme in the least, when the Fed is the only business in the entire country that is exempt from audit? Ponder that for a moment.
Yes, the Federal Reserve System has never been audited although you and every other taxpayer in America may be audited every year by the Fed's paymaster, the Internal Revenue Service.
How many honest citizens and taxpayers know this? Very few, we'd say. This fact, if known, would bring to the fore many serious questions. Unfortunately, the press in America is not genuinely free. The newspapers and other media are muzzled and simply cannot deal with subjects as sensitive to the status quo as this.
We have prepared some excellent special reports on the Fed
and our tainted money system - certainly one of the most important
subjects imaginable today as our economy shows tectonic faults,
with the very economic ground trembling under our feet. See the
ad on page 18 to find out how you can get copies of the ground-breaking
work AFP has done on the Federal Reserve and the nation's corrupt
financial system.

Millions of Americans take dietary supplements every day, and the numbers are growing as the Baby Boom generation ages. More and more Americans understandably are frustrated with our government-controlled health care system. They have concluded that vitamins, minerals and other supplements might help them stay healthy and less dependent on the system.
They use supplements because they can buy them freely at stores and research them freely on the Internet, without government interference in the form of doctors, prescriptions, HMOs and licenses. In other words, they use supplements because they are largely free to make their own choices, in stark contrast to the conventional medical system.
But we live in an era of unbridled government regulation of both our personal lives and the economy, and food and Drug Administration (FDA) bureaucrats want to regulate supplements in the same manner as prescription drugs.
The health nannies insist that many dietary supplements are untested and unproven, and therefore dangerous. But the track record for FDA-approved drugs hardly inspires confidence. In fact, far more Americans have died using approved pharmaceuticals than supplements. Not every dietary supplement performs as claimed, but neither does every FDA drug.
The FDA simply gives people a false sense of security, while crowding out private watchdog groups that might provide truly disinterested consumer information. It fosters a complacent attitude and a lack of personal responsibility among people who assume a government stamp of approval means a drug must be safe, and that they need not study a drug before taking it.
The FDA, like all federal agencies, ultimately used its regulatory powers in political ways. Certain industries and companies and rewarded, and others are punished. No regulatory agency is immune from politics, which is why the FDA should not be trusted with power over our intimate health and care decisions.
The real issue is not whether supplements really work, or whether FDA drugs really are safe. The real issue is: Who decides, the individual or the state? This is the central question in almost every political issue. In free societies, individuals decide what medical treatments or health supplements are appropriate for them.
Over the past decade the American people have made it clear they do not want the federal government to interfere with their access to dietary supplements. In 1994, Congress bowed to overwhelming public pressure and passed the Dietary Supplements and Health and Education Act, which liberalized the rules regarding the regulation of dietary supplements. Congressional offices received a record number of comments in favor of the act, which demonstrates how strongly Americans feel about health freedom.
The FDA simply has thumbed its nose at Congress and ignored the new rules in many instances, by attempting to suppress information about health supplements. But in 1999 a federal appellate court affirmed that the American people have a First Amendment right to such information without interference from the FDA. However, members of congress have had to intervene with the FDA on several occasions to ensure that they followed the court order.
My regular readers already know about another looming threat to dietary supplement freedom. The Codex Alimentarius Commission, an offshoot of the United Nations, is working to "harmonize" food and supplement rules between all nations of the world. Under Codex rules, even basic vitamins and minerals will require a doctor's prescription.
As Europe moves ever closer to adopting codex standards, it becomes more likely that the World Trade Organization(WTO) will attempt to force those standards on the United States.
This is het another example of how the WTO threatens American sovereignty. By cooperation with the codex, the FDA is blatantly ignoring the will of Congress and the American people.

A special study undertaken by the CIA, reveals that by 2020 the United States will face three major global threats - China, India and a terror network, far worse than anything that has surfaced before, The study's final report, Mapping the Global Future, finds that China, India and a network of global terrorists will pose serious challenges to the United States in two decades.
A think tank at the CIA, the National Intelligence Council (NIC), which commenced the research to determine America's military needs of the future, concluded that the country will have to focus its resources at these potential threats.
While considerable attention has been focused on the massive military buildup and high-tech modernization of the Chinese military, India is also extensively expanding its military. Many defense analysts believe India's military buildup will balance its archenemy Pakistan. However, India's leaders see their country as a major player on the world stage in the future.
MAJOR CONSUMER
Along with China, India has become a major consumer of oil due to its emergence into the industrialized world, running up gas prices around the globe. India, like china, has emerged as a powerful nuclear power with nuclear weapons capable of being delivered by aircraft or guided missiles. The Indian government recently purchased from Russia dozens of that country's top-line jet fighters and attack aircraft, which caused the U.S. government to sell its state-of-the-art F-16 jet fighters to Pakistan, further inflaming the tinderbox atmosphere that exists between those two nations. Like china, the Indians also envision their country becoming a future deepwater naval power, even to the point of building their own aircraft carriers.
For decades, India has purchased most of its weaponry from
Russia but it is also now conducting a crash program to build
its own military industrial complex, which will allow it to produce
its own state-of-the-art weapons.

ROTTACH-EGERN, GermanyBritons were voting even as Bilderberg was gathering here Thursday, May 5, and the British luminaries gave grudging support to Prime Minister Tony Blair's Labor Party because of his backing of the pending European Constitution (EC). But they remain angry that Blair joined the United States in the invasion of Iraq.
A French referendum on the
proposed EC May 29 has Bilderberg deeply concerned. The outcome
is in doubt and defeat would be a severe blow to Bilderberg's
long-term effort to establish a globalist government.
Polls in March showed that, after strongly backing the EC for months, French support dropped below 50 percent. The latest poll had supporters ahead by a slight margin. But Bilderberg is still concerned because one-fourth of the supporters could change their minds.
A German Bilderberg insider said the EC is in trouble for the same reason, he hopes, that the Free Trade Area of the Americas may fail: "outsourcing" of jobs. "American jobs are going to South America, China and India," he said. |
"Jobs in Germany and France are going to Asia and Ukraine." Ukraine is among the former East Bloc countries that have been admitted to the European Union, bringing membership to 25.
International financiers, along with heads of state and high
officials of government in the United States and Europe, are the
main muscle of Bilderberg. As the European Union expanded, jobs
were shipped to the new member states to take advantage of cheap
laborjust as NAFTA
affected the United States.
This accounts for the shift in sentiment in France and Germany toward the pending EC and, by extension, to the European Union. France and Germany are suffering economically as a result, while Europe-shunning Britain is relatively healthy.
Unemployment in France and Germany is high 10 percent because of "outsourcing" and moving plants to poor countries. Britain prospers, making it politically difficult for Blair to keep his years-old promise to Bilderberg to persuade Britons to embrace the EC.
"Protectionism is the flavor of the month," said an unhappy Elga Bartsch, an economist at Morgan Stanley in London, which is always represented at Bilderberg.
The Financial Times carried a "pre-leak" Bilderberg story May 5, using a tongue-in-cheek style to reassure readers about "conspiracy theories."
Writer Daniel Dombey failed to mention that his newspaper is regularly represented at Bilderberg.
He inadvertently confirmed past AFP reports with these words:
"In 2003, tensions over the Iraq war boiled over."

The U.S. military is headed for drastic drops in the quality of its troops and morale if current trends continue. Due to the Iraq and Afghanistan wars the recruitment of young men and women for the military has dropped considerably, and recruiting officers are finding it more and more difficult to meet their quotas.
This has resulted in the recruiters relaxing - even falsifying
- the requirements that should be met for enlistment in the military
services.
This is just another indicator that ultimately the Pentagon will have to turn to a draft to fill its dwindling ranks. Local draft boardsare currently being staffed to undertake drafting American youth for the military, despite claims by President George W. Bush and leaders of Congress that they have no plans for conscription to maintain military manpower.
According to reports that are beginning to appear in the establishment media, recruiters are bending or breaking rules to meet quotas.
A northern Ohio recruiter, as an example, has reported that he has been hiding police records and medical histories of potential recruits _ deceptions, he says, that are condoned, even encouraged, by his superiors.
Several recruiters have admitted they have concealed mental health histories and police records of those they have recruited, and have even falsified documents, including high school diplomas. They have been providing potential recruits "cheat sheets," wallet-sized cards that are slipped to the applicants before they take the military's aptitude tests.
The breakdown in the recruiting system has even drawn the attention of the mainstream news, which as recently as May reported that a high school student near Denver revealed that two recruiters had advised him how to cheat.
The student, identified as David McSwane, indicated that one recruiter told him how to create a "high school diploma" from a nonexistent school, while the other helped him obtain a product that would cleanse traces of an illegal psychedelic drug from his bloodstream.
The Army's own admission indicates that there were 320 unsubstantiated cases of recruitment improprieties in 2004, up from 199 in 1999.
Recruiters have also been reportedly lying to applicants by making false promises that if they join up they will not be sent to Iraq.
In 2004, there were 1,118 cases of recruiter wrongdoing, which amounts to about one in five recruiters. Some senior Army officers have said that for at least every improper recruiting act discovered there are at least two more that are never discovered.
The seriousness of the recruiting scandal is illustrated by a 21-year-old Ohio applicant who was signed up by the Army just a week after he was released from a psychiatric ward.
"The fact that they would recruit someone straight out of a psychiatric hospital . . . is beyond my comprehension and appalling," the young man's father said.
One recruiter reported that one in three young men he signed up had a problem that "needed concealing."
"The only people who want to join the Army now have issues,"
he concluded. "They're troubled with health, police or drug
problems."

A distinguished World War II veteran and former Republican Party supporter calls the mainstream media the "enemy within" and is using all his resources to expose media owners for being manipulators of truth and masters of propaganda.
Bill Gibbons of Arizona left the Republican faithful "a long time ago" when he realized firsthand how "both parties were destroying America" along with rich media barons, who he claims actively control both foreign and domestic policy titled at representing the interests of Israel not America.
Since leaving politics and once being the head of the statewide campaign to elect Barry Goldwater, gibbons has authored two fictional books entitled the New America Revolution and The American Gestapo as well as running an anti-government and anti-media web site loaded with facts and figures about media and government corruption.
Going full time at what he calls "saving the Republic," his web site also encourages true Christian values, not "phony ones espoused by most politicians on the left and on the right."
"How can a real Christian rejoice in the death of so many innocent people as we see in Iraq? How can anyone consider George Bush a Christian after what he has done?" asked Gibbons, a veteran of WWII, where he served in Okinawa when his ship, the USS Rall, was attacked by Japanese fighter planes, and later in Korea.
Returning to his main goal of exposing the corrupt media," Gibbons said the owners are the real culprits and should be labeled "as traitors" for their part in the destruction and manipulation of American policy at home and abroad.
The media controls the foreign policy of the United States and permits Israeli interest rather than American interests to decide questions of war and peace," said Gibbons. "We would not be in the mess we are in if the media was on the side of the American people."
What makes these media barons even more despicable, he said, is they hide behind the First Amendment and the Constitution, waiving the American flag in everyone's face as if their corporate-driven empires were the bastions of freedom, protecting the citizenry from the evils of government.
He added the evils of government, the evils of corporate power and the evils of a deceptive media should not be confused as separate entities, but one well-oiled group of criminal thugs working together to advance the goals of a small but wealthy minority.
This small minority, he said, consists of rich and powerful bankers, corporate bosses, government leaders and media barons, together controlling most of the world's wealth and resources, the world's most influential media outlets.
Gibbons further rationalizes that together they form a "tight-knit mostly Zionist group" who have the American people firmly locked into their way of thinking, their way of doing business and their way of government.
Although America is supposedly a melting pot with diverse opinions and views, Gibbons said this diversity is not apparent in newspapers, television news and government policy.
He added these media barons have everyone talking one voice - one distorted and lying voice intended to manipulate the masses so that their rich empires prosper without dissent and political barriers.
Further, he says, what makes these media owners even more despicable is that they hide behind their employees, the reporters and news commentators who usually take the blame for what's wrong with the distorted and biased news coverage.
To expose the corrupt media owners and what he calls their "corrupt political agendas,' Gibbons has compiled an extensive list of the names of all the world media barons in an attempt to bring the "faceless and nameless cowards" front and center to the American people.
The list, including the heads of Disney, Time Warner, Fox and many others, is in the process of being posted on a new political page on his web site.
"Now let us admit that these faceless owners have a name and we need to know their names and expose them for that they are," said Gibbons. "Commentators spend a lot of time dancing around about media bias and accuse the anchormen and women of being the problem.
But the real problem is the men and women that won the media. The anchors are only puppets - willing puppets for sure, but puppets nonetheless. Why don't we tell the people who the owners are and get right to the nitty-gritty of the whole issue? The owners of the major media are the real enemy, so for starters let's tell the people in America who they really are," said Gibbons.

When congress passed the Patriot Act in the emotional aftermath of the Sept 11 terrorist attacks, a sunset provision was inserted in the bill that causes certain sections to expire at the end of 2005. But this begs the question: If these provisions are critical tools in the fight against terrorism, why revoke them after five years? Conversely, if these provisions violate civil liberties, why is it acceptable to suspend the Constitution for any amount of time.
Congress is scheduled to review those sections this year, but there is little chance any portion of the Act will be allowed to lapse. If anything, many members of congress are eager to expand federal police powers.
Supporters of the Patriot Act argue that its provisions have not been abused since its passage in 2001. In essence, Justice Department officials are claiming, "Trust us - we're the government and we say the Patriot Act does not threaten civil liberties."
But this argument misses the point. Government assurances simply are not good enough in a free society. The overwhelming burden always must be placed on government to justify any new encroachment on our liberty. Now that the emotions of Sept. 11 have cooled, the American people are less willing to blindly accept terrorism as an excuse for expanding federal surveillance powers.
Many of the most constitutionally offensive measures in the act are not limited to terrorist offenses, but apply to any criminal activity. In fact, some of the new police powers could be applied even to those engaging in peaceful protest against government policies.
The bill as written defines terrorism as acts intended "to influence the poicy of a government by intimidation or coercion." Under this broad definition, a scuffle at an otherwise peaceful pro-life demonstration might subject attendees to a federal investigation.
We have seen abuses of law enforcement authority in the past to harass individuals or organizations with unpopular political views. Congress has given future administrations a tool to investigate pro-life or gun rights organizations on the grounds that fringe members advocate violence.
The Patriot Act waters down the Fourth Amendment by expanding the federal government's ability to use wiretaps without judicial oversight. The requirement for a search warrant and probable cause strikes a balance between effective law enforcement and civil liberties. Any attempt to dilute the warrant requirement threatens innocent citizens with a loss of their liberty. This is particularly true of provisions that allow for issuance of nationwide search warrants that are not specific to any given location, not subject to any local judicial oversight.
The act makes it far easier for the government to monitor your Internet usage by adopting a lower standard than probable cause for intercepting e-mails and internet communications.
I wonder how my congressional colleagues would feel if all of their email headings and the names of the web sites they visited were available to law enforcement upon a showing of mere "relevance."
It's easy for elected officials in Washington to tell the American people that government will do whatever it takes to defeat terrorism. However, such assurances inevitable are followed by proposals either to restrict the constitutional liberties of the American people or spend vast sums from the federal treasury. We must understand that politicians and bureaucrats always seek to expand their power without regard for the long-term consequences.
If you believe in smaller government, ask yourself one simple question: does the Patriot Act increase or decrease the power of the federal government over your life? The answer is obvious to those who understand that freedom cannot be exchanged for security.

What kind of a world does the elite plan for you? Since 1954, the Bilderberg group, with the collaboration of the mainstream media, has been meeting in secret, behind closed and heavily guarded doors, to make decisions affecting virtually everyone on Earth.
This year, Bilderberg was exposed at a posh resort in a tiny village 40 miles from Munich. Bilderberg has roughly 120 participants, including international financiers, heads of state and other high officials from Europe and North America. U.S. luminaries include David Rockefeller and Henry Kissinger.
All recent presidents, except the current George W. Bush, have been linked, either directly or by involvement with Bilderberg's brother group, the Trilateral Commission. The two groups have interlocking leadership and a common agenda. Here are some past presidents who have been connected:
Jerry Ford, Bilderberg; Jimmy Carter, Trilateral; Ronald Reagan, a critic of the Trilateralists until entering the White House, where he held a reception for them; Bush the Elder, Trilateral; and Bill Clinton, Bilderberg.
The White House and the departments of state, defense and treasury are always represented at Bilderberg, along with other high officials. They lie and say they are attending no such meeting. The ritzy resort that Bilderberg takes over, banishing all other guests, also lies and says no such meeting is taking place.

meeting of the shadowy Bilderberg group.

An explosive memo sent to Britain's prime minister and others by a former foreign policy aide clearly shows President Bush "doctored" intelligence reports prior to the Iraqi invasion in order to justify war based on weapons of mass destruction.
The potentially damaging memo was leaked to the London press this week, revealing an internal memo sent on July 23, 2002, by Matthew Rycroft, a former defense policy aide. Rycroft addressed his concerns about America's deceptive "rush to war" to Britain's heads of state, including the prime minister, defense secretary, foreign secretary and attorney general.
Since the United States invaded Iraq based on an imminent threat of weapons of mass destruction, the Bush administration has stood firm on its decision to topple Saddam Hussein, claiming it should not now be blamed for faulty intelligence reports. To date no WMDs have ever been uncovered in Iraq, and serious questions have been raised about America's "rush to judgment" in attacking Iraq.
The memo, which has been verified as "Secret and PersonalFor UK Eyes Only," clearly shows the Bush administration lied to the American people about its basis for going to war in Iraq. To date over 1,600 American troops have been killed in the fighting, and approximately 100,000 innocent Iraqi civilians have also perished.
The London press claims to have verified the authenticity of the memo before publication, also blaming its own government for following America to war even though it had solid evidence no WMDs existed in Iraq.
Rycroft, who was privy to highly classified U.S. intelligence reports, reveals that, just prior to the U.S. invasion, a deceptive strategy was used on the part of the Bush administration to topple Saddam. Rycroft wrote:
"As reported in recent talks in Washington, there was a perceptible shift in attitude. Military action was now seen as inevitable. Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMDs.
"But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy. The [National Security Council] had no patience with the UN route, and no enthusiasm for publishing material on the Iraqi regime's record. There was little discussion in Washington of the aftermath after military action."
Regarding the memo, the Bush administration refused comment, saying it was unaware of the specific allegations. Critics claim this memo clearly refutes the justification for war, resulting in a clear violation of international law.
The memo goes on to warn all recipients that it should remain "secret" to all others in light of the highly sensitive content.
"This record is extremely sensitive. No further copies should be made. It should be shown only to those with a genuine need to know its contents," writes Rycroft to the prime minister.
He further added that, "The defense secretary said that the U.S. had already begun spikes of activity' to put pressure on the regime. No decisions had been taken, but he thought the most likely timing in U.S. minds for military action to begin was January, with the timeline beginning 30 days before the U.S. congressional elections."
Critics of the Bush administration war strategy claim this
shows Bush clearly "lied to the American people and should
be held accountable."

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a spending bill last week, that contains provisions establishing a national ID card, and the Senate is poised to approve the measure in the next few days. This week marks the American public's last chance to convince their senators they don't want to live in a nation that demands papers from its citizens as they go about their lives. Absent a political miracle in the Senate, within two years every American will need a conforming national ID card to participate in ordinary activities. This REAL ID Act establishes a massive centrally coordinated database of highly personal information about American citizens: at a minimum their name, date of birth, place of residence, Social Security number and physical characteristics. The legislation also grants open-ended authority to the Secretary of Homeland Security to require biometric information on IDs in the future. This means your harmless looking drivers license could contain a retina scan, fingerprints, DNA information or radio frequency technology. |
![]()
Our Future? Above, Melenda Morris of Datastrip holds a DSVerify2D device. DSVerfy2D is the first fully integrated two-demensionalcode, smartcard and passport reader that features a fingerprint biometric verification device. The DSVerigy2D is specifically designed to decode codes found on identification documents such as national ID cards, drivers licenses, passports, access control cards and health cards. DSVerigy2D can perform "on the spot" identy verification. |
Think this sounds farfetched? Read the REAL ID Act, H.R. 418, for yourself. Its text is available on the Library of Congress web site. A careful reading also reveals that states will be required to participate in the "Drivers License Agreement," which was crafted by DMV lobbyists years ago. This agreement creates a massive database of sensitive information on American citizens that can be shared with Canada and Mexico.
Terrorism is the excuse given for virtually every new power grab by the federal government, and the national ID is no exception. But federal agencies have tried to create a national ID for years, long before the 9-11 attacks.
In fact, a 1996 bill sought to do exactly what the REAL ID Act does: transform state drivers licenses into defacto national ID cards At the time, congress was flooded with calls by angry constituents and the bill ultimately dies.
Proponents of the REAL ID Act continue to make the preposterous claim that the bill does not establish a national ID card. This is dangerous and insulting nonsense.
Let's get the facts straight: The REAL ID Act transforms state motor vehicle departments into agents of the federal government. Nationalizing standards for drivers licenses and birth certificates in a federal bill creates a national ID system, pure and simple. Having the name of your particular state on the Id is meaningless window dressing.
Federally imposed standards for drivers license and birth certificates make a mockery of federalism and the 10th amendment. While states technically are not forced to accept the federal standards, any refusal to comply would mean their residents could not get a job, receive social Security or travel by plane. So rather than imposing a direct mandate on the states, the federal government is blackmailing them into complying with federal dictates.
One overriding point has been forgotten: Criminals don't obey laws. As with gun control, national ID cards will only affect law-abiding citizens. Do we really believe a terrorist bent on murder is going to dutifully obtain a federal ID card? Do we believe that people who openly flout our immigration laws will nonetheless respect our Id requirements?
Any ID card can be forged: any federal agency or state DMV is susceptible to corruption. Criminals can and will obtain national ID cards, or operate without them. National ID cards will be used to track the law-abiding masses, not criminals.

.ROTTACH-EGERN, Germany - Will the price of oil reach $150 a barrel in two years? Henry Kissinger made this prediction to Richard Holbrooke, according to two friendly sources inside the secret Bilderberg meeting.
"It should not be long," Kissinger told Holbrooke, vice chairman of Perseus LLC and longtime Bilderberg luminary. Kissinger said the demand for oil has far exceeded the supply. Oil, and who gets it, is part of the bitter Bilderberg dispute over Middle East policy.
One source said James Baker had made the same prediction while representing the Carlyle Group at an earlier business conference, saying "Look for $150 a barrel."
Baker represented the White House at Bilderberg meetings under former Presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush the Elder, where he served as chief of staff and treasury secretary, respectively.
The economic impact of tripling already-high oil prices would be staggering Inflation would soar, because transportation - from raw material to finished product to marketplace - has a significant impact on virtually everything you buy - from neckties to houses.
Bilderberg hunkered down here May 5-8 to decide how the world should deal with European-American relations, the Middle East powder keg, the Iraq war, the global economy and potential war in Iran.
The first appearance of Virginia Gov. Mark Warner (D) indicates Bilderberg considers him a presidential contender.
The absence of former Sen. John Edwards (N.C.), John Kerry's presidential running mate in 2004, indicates the Sun has set on his political career. Last year was Edwards's first appearance and, like most of the "fringe" invitees, he has been cast aside like an old shoe.
European hostility toward Americans for the invasion of Iraq was rekindled by reports in the European press that British Prime Minister Tony Blair had secretly agreed with President bush to go to war months in advance of the U.S. invasion.
The Guardian of London, among other newspapers, carried detailed accounts of a transcript of conversations between Blair and President bush three months before the March 2002 invasion. The transcript clearly shows Blair promising, in advance, to join the United States in the war on Iraq.
This prompted hostile comments while Kissinger was presiding over a panel discussion on the meaning of "peace." Europeans demanded to know if "Iran is next," and "when does it end?" America was repeatedly warned not to "rush to war with Iran."
But history demonstrates that Americans are no more the "war party" than the European Bilderbergers. Europeans joined in supporting the 1991 invasion of Iraq by President Bush the Elder, celebrating the end of "America's Vietnam syndrome." Europeans also supported former President Bill Clinton's invasion of Yugoslavia, bringing NATO into the operation. The first shot ever fired in anger by NATO troops were in Yugoslavia. Bilderberg had made NATO, effectively, the UN's standing army.
The British election results pleased Europeans, who grudgingly supported Blair because of his commitment to the European Constitution (EC). Britons will vote in 2006 on ratifying the EC. But they are happy that Blair's Labor Party's majority in Parliament shrank from 160 to 60 and he will likely be replaced as prime minister within two years.
To address the Mideast issue, bilderberg brought together Eival Gilady and Natan Sharansky of Israel and Palestinian Ziad Abu-Amr.
Gilady is strategic adviser to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Sharansky is a former minister for Jerusalem and diaspora affairs. Abu-Amr is a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, president of the Palestinian Council on Foreign Relation and professor of political science at Birzeit University.
The Council on foreign Relations, always richly represented at bilderberg, serves as Bilderberg's propaganda ministry. Scholarly white papers" advocating Bilderberg policies routinely follow the secret sessions.
This year, bilderberg ordered Israel to keep its promise to withdraw from some settlements in the West bank and Gaza. Also, they noted that Palestinians must be grateful for the portion of their territory they get back and not insist on pre-1967 borders. Israel seized these lands in a surprise attack in 1967.
We must get along, despite our harsh differences, because we now live in an interdependent, global economy," said a lanky, gray-haired European in a discussion of "trans-Atlantic Relations." Poverty in Africa or south America "or wherever" is a "threat to all of us, anywhere in the world,' he said.
![]() ROCKY ROAD: Above, David Rockefeller walks in front of the German hotel in which the Bilderberg meeting was held this year. Rockefeller, an everpresent Bilderberg attendee, is showing his age. |
Again, the United States was denounced for "not providing a fair share" of economic aid to poor countries. Again, Kissinger and David Rockefeller, among other Americans, beamed and nodded approval. Bilderberg argues that, as a percentage of gross national product, Americans are "stingy." There was discussion of timing for a vote in the United Nations on establishing a direct global tax by imposing a 10-cents-a-barrel levy on oil at the well-head. This is important to the Bilderberg goal of establishing the UN as a formal world government. Such a direct tax on individuals is symbolically important. Bilderberg's global tax proposal has been pending before the UN for three years but the issue has been blacked out by the Bilderberg-controlled U.S. Media. Said one Bilderberger of the pending UN tax: |
Bilderbergers were downcast when word came that some Senate democrats, who had voted for "free" trade bills in the past, were threatening to kill the Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) because of insufficient worker protections. CAFTA is a crucial step in expanding NAFTA into the Free Trade Area of the Americas. Which is to include the entire Western Hemisphere except for Cuba until Fidel Castro is gone.
Kenneth Clarke, Conservative member of Parliament and a former
chancellor of the exchequer in Britain, a long-time Bilderberg
luminary, once told this journalist that the goal is to establish
an "American Union" similar to the European Union with
the dollar as the common currency. The "Asia-Pacific Union"
is also emerging, which will complete the division of the Earth
into three great regions for the administrative convenience of
the planned world government.

As he prepares to leave office, gen. Richard B. Myers, who will soon be retiring from duty as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has leveled with Congress in a classified report concerning the diminished strength of the U.S. Armed forces. Myers explicitly cited the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as the main reason. Marine Corps chief, Gen. Peter Pace, has also admitted to congress that there is a risk that the diminished U.S. military would be unable to prevent an attack, including a surprise attack. Pace said it was "moderate, but trending toward significant." |
![]() Gen. R.B. Myers |
He warned that additional combat operations, beyond current operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, "may result in significantly extended campaign time-lines, and achieving campaign objectives may result in higher casualty rates and collateral damage.
NOT SO ROSY
In issuing his report to Congress the general appears to have broken with the White House and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who paint a rosier picture of America's current military strength.
In a recent news conference, President Bush said that the number of American troops in Iraq would not limit Washington's military options elsewhere.
Numerous military experts pointedly disagree with the president on this point, noting that U.S. bases around the world could be dragged into burgeoning crises such as a Chinese assault on Taiwan, an attack on South Korea from North Korea or a widening war in the Middle East.
Bush's pronouncements sharply conflicted with Myers's conclusions about U.S. military capabilities when he said he had asked the general, "Do you feel that we've limited our capacity to deal with other problems because of our troop levels in Iraq?"
"The general's answer is no, he didn't feel a bit limited. It feels like we got plenty of capacity."
SAME MIND
Many career military officers are of the same mind as Myers, realizing that all active duty troops have been depleted due to deployments. National Guard and Reserve forces have been drawn down to the point where middle-aged soldiers are being asked to don uniforms and be sent to Iraq.
Myers also told congress about reduced stockpiles of precision weapons, such as guided cruise missiles and laser-guided bombs.
As far as conditions in Iraq are concerned Myers disagrees with the Bush administration's claims, saying U.S. forces are operating at "a higher level of risk" than a year ago.
With the military currently being so overdrawn and utilized for extended periods in Iraq, one senior Pentagon official said that the United States would ultimately win a new conflict "but it may not be as pretty," predicting larger numbers of casualties and higher cost in dollars.
Currently, the Pentagon is adjusting and reorganizing active and reserve units.
This will eventually correct shortfalls, "but this will take several more years to complete,"Myers concluded.
Is a draft in the future.

Philadelphia lawyer Phil Berg has never tried to climb Mt. Everest. In the past, he's always attempted "legal mountains" within his reach. But since filing a 2004 federal RICO lawsuit against President Bush and others for complicity in 9-11, the Pennsylvania attorney finally knows what it's like to try to scale the world's tallest peak.
"I thought it was going to be tough, but I didn't think this tough," Berg told AFP from behind a mountain of legal paperwork in his one-man Philadelphia office. "I am undermanned, overworked and under-financed, but still optimistic that justice will prevail.
"Either our government made 9-11 happen or let it happen. I am going after them for foreknowledge, failure to warn and actively covering up the crimes they committed.
Remember, Nixon was thrown out of office only for a coverup. These people, including Bush, have done much more," said Berg in an exclusive interview.
"We need to bring these criminals in government to justice for killing over 3,000 Americans and the thousands who have needlessly died in Iraq and Afghanistan."
Without much support or media attention at home, Berg has left on a seven-stop European tour to try and raise money and awareness about the U.S. government's involvement in 9-11. The speaking tour begins in Amsterdam then continues to Berlin, Paris, Madrid, London and Vienna.
Berg is joining American entrepreneur Jimmy Walter, the tour's sponsor, who has taken up residence overseas after spending millions here to alert the public about the truth behind 9-11. Berg and Walter together hope to combine efforts to raise needed money for the 9-11 lawsuit, as well as showing Europeans that many Americans disagree with Bush and his imperialistic foreign policy agenda. AFP correspondent Christopher Bollyn is also traveling with them. Although millions of Americans now agree with Berg about the U.S. government's complicity in 9-11, Berg said the movement hasn't gained momentum because the mainstream media together with the government has hidden the truth from the American people.
"Hopefully the foreign press will be more receptive to our cause, and the word will get back home," said Berg, who claims the American media has purposely ignored his lawsuit against Bush in order to protect the administration against any type of public backlash.
"This is a major lawsuit with worldwide implications,
but the media has chosen to ignore it. Why?" asked Berg,
saying the lack of public attention has not damped his efforts
at getting at the truth behind 9-11.
And the extensive 237-page complaint, filed in November 2004 on behalf of WTC maintenance worker William Rodriguez, attempts to get at the truth while unraveling the complicated fact-scenario involving the government's hand in 9-11 before, during and after the attacks.
Although Rodriguez doesn't claim to know everything about the government's complicity, he is going to testify that he heard strange explosions before and after the jetliner struck one of the towers.
Rodriguez, working at the WTC on the morning of 9-11, claims to have heard detonated bomb explosions. Besides the timing of the suspicious bomb blasts, Rodriguez claims they occurred on lower floors of the high-rise.
Independent investigators said both towers suspiciously fell "like a house of cards," claiming that Rodriguez probably heard pre-arranged detonated bomb blasts, strategically placed and timed to make it appear that the jetliner was the cause of the collapse.
From the beginning, the government has always held firm to the story that burning jet fuel after impact brought down the towers. However, critics claim the government's theory is impossible since much more was needed in order to bring the towers down so quickly. They claim it is more likely that explosive devices were placed in the towers and detonated when the jetliners made impact.
Besides trying to disprove the government's theory behind the WTC collapse, Berg's suit goes much further, attempting to prove that a 9-11 conspiracy began years before the incident.
"The beauty behind a RICO case is that we are allowed to use as admissible evidence facts and events that occurred many years before and even years after 9-11," said Berg about his choice to use the federal RICO laws against Bush and his cronies. "The government normally uses RICO for Mafia probes, but in this case it's a conspiracy within the government itself that the RICO laws can help expose."
After filing the case, government lawyers were quick to go on the offensive, filing a motion to dismiss on grounds of national security, among a number of other legal maneuvers in order that the case never see the light of day.
"They have tried everything to stop this case from being heard," added Berg.
The case now is still in the early stages with full-blown discovery and depositions not yet taking place. However, Berg said he "can't wait to depose" Bush and other higherups regarding the tough questions about 9-11 never asked or answered previously.
"I just got word the judge didn't dismiss the case, but has changed venue to New York," said Berg, who finally received notice from the court regarding the hearing to dismiss the case held several weeks ago in Philadelphia.
Asked what motivated him to take on such an enormous challenge,
he said:
"I never realized I would get this involved, but the more
research I did, the more it became clear that Bush and his cronies
knew about 9-11, then actively covered up their participation
and foreknowledge.
"Right after 9-11 occurred, I knew something was strange when I saw [Chief of Staff] Andy Card tell Bush about the second plane hitting the towers. There was absolutely no reaction on the president's face, and it was then I understood he must have known about the plan all along."
In order to raise money at home for the lawsuit and raise public
awareness, Berg operates a web site at 911forthetruth.com, a site where a transcript
of the entire RICO complaint can be found as well as updating
viewers about
the latest news about the 9-11 truth movement.
Berg's extensive complaint seeks relief for Rodriguez based on 13 counts, including misprision of a felony, misprision of treason, relief under the Anti-Terrorism Act, relief under the War Crimes Act and relief for and from crimes against humanity.
Specifically, it attempts to show a web of government conspiracy dating back to the late 1970s when the CIA helped Osama bin Laden fight the Soviets in Afghanistan.
Berg claims this web of government deceit and financial backing continues all the way up to the days just preceding 9-11 as witnesses will testify and records will reveal.
The complaint goes on to say that the defendants deliberately concealed the fact that they had ample warnings of terrorist attacks and failed to act on them in order to carry out a full-blown war on terrorism as a means to justify their neo-conservative political goals.
"It is time for a non-violent revolution by the millions of Americans who are tired of their rights being diminished by the Bush administration, tired of the lies of the Bush administration, tired of the lies about Iraq and tired and disgusted with the lies about 9-11," said Berg.
The Rodriguez action aims to prove that the defendants conspired to allow and did allow the attacks to happen by delaying military interceptions of the hijacked planes. It also seeks to show that the WTC was taken down by explosives in a controlled demolition.
"Now is the time to stand tall together and bring back our freedoms as they stood under the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and the Constitution of the United States," said Berg.

Following a drumbeat of exposes by American Free Press, Congress
is considering an investigation into the cover-up of the Oklahoma
City bombing, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif), Chairman of the
investigative subcommittee of the House International Relations
committee, has been collecting new evidence on April 19, 1995,
bombing and said he will announce soon whether formal hearings
will be held.
He was prompted by a letter by Terry Nichols, who is serving life
for his role in the tragedy, claiming a third man was involved
in the bombing. The government position has been that Nichols
and Timothy McVeigh, two Army buddies who reportedly decided to
become anti-government terrorists after the government killing
of more than 80 men, women and children at Waco, Texas.
That this mass murder of Americans was accomplished by two disgruntled
veterans acting alone seems to be the conclusion reached by those
in authority. Rohrabacher said on the House floor. However, there
are some unsettling loose ends and unanswered question.*

Morrah Building, (soft-cover, 555 pages, #1010, $20) is available

---------------------------------------------
While serving multiple life sentences, Nichols remained silent
for 10 years. In a letter from his cell at the supermax prison
in Colorado marking the 10th anniversary of the bombing, Nichols
said Arkansas gun collector Roger Moore donated explosives, made
up of two components, to McVeigh, who used them in Oklahoma City.
His revelations came in a letter to Kathy Sanders, who lost two
grandchildren in the bombing, in which Nichols, now 50, said he
felt the record should be set straight.
In previous statements, Moore has denied any role in the bombing.
However, AFP reported in the April 11 issue that explosives unearthed
by the FBI on March 31 at the former home of Nichols were supplied
by Moore and reportedly had his fingerprints on them.
Moore has admitted being an FBI informant as long as a decade
ago.
In his letter, Nichols said he wanted to work with Congress to
help expose the government cover-up in my case and thus reveal
the truth in the OKC bombing. He said FBI tests of the components
found at his home in Herington, Kan., would support his allegation
that the material came from Moore and his friend, Karen Anderson.
That case of nitromethane came directly from Roger Moores Royal,
Ark., home, and his prints should be found on that box and/or
tubes, and Karen Andersons prints may be there as well, Nichols
wrote.
Moore provided McVeigh with the binary explosives known as KINE-STIK
(aka KINE-PAK) which consist of two components - ground ammonium
nitrate and nitromethane - and are approximately the size of a
stick of dynamite, Nichols wrote. Moore testified in open court
that he did not know what KINE-STIK nor KINE-PAK was - he was
clearly lying.
The KINE-STIK that McVeigh got from Moore was used in the OKC
bombing!...the federal government knows of Roger Moores corrupt
activities and they are protecting him and covering up his involvement
with McVeigh at the OKC bombing, Nichols wrote.
In his House speech, Rohrabacher suggested tht Nichols, who could
be subpoenaed as a star witness, has answers to crucial question.
Rohrabacher also wants to review 23 surveillance tapes of activities
around the Murrah building site on the morning of the bombing.
The tapes have not been released to the public, even though the
trials are over and the FBI says its investigation is closed.
This is a free society, Rohrabacher said, And if the public is
to have faith in their government we cannot keep secrets like
this.

Last week I had an opportunity to present the case against
U.S. membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO) at a seminar
in Washington. Later this summer Congress will have a similar
opportunity to raise objections about the WTO when several colleagues
and I bring a resolution to the House floor seeking the wholesale
withdrawal of the United States from the organization.
The WTO by its own admission is not just about trade According
to the WTO web site, liberalizing trade actually takes a back
seat to its more activist ambitions, such as development - a euphemism
for wealth-transfers from tich nations to poor nations.
Likewise, their own web site promises that, In the WTO, commercial
interests do not take priority over environmental protection.
In 1994 the WTO created the Trade and Environment Committee to
bring environmental and sustainable development issues into the
mainstream of WTO work.
What does this mean? It would not take much imagination to tie
any environmental issue to trade and thus invite WTO meddling.
What about the Kyoto Accords, the international agreement that
aims to solve the supposed problem of global warming? Clearly
the Kyoto Accords, to which the United States has not agreed,
will affect world trade. Will this be an open door for the WTO
to act as enforcer toward the United States and other countries
that refuse to sing Kyoto?
Two leading UN observers, Henry Lamb of Sovereignty International
and Cathie Adams of Texas Eagle Forum, have reported that the
WTO is widely recognized as the enforcement tool of choice for
the Kyoto treaty.
TRADE RULES AT STAKE
Even Newt Gingrich, a supporter of American membership in the
WTO, recognized in 1994 that far more than trade rules were at
stake:
I am just saying that we need to be honest
about the fact that we are transferring from the United States
at a practical level significant authority to a new organization.
This is a transformational moment. I would feel better if the
people who favor this would just be honest about the scale of
change....This is not just another trade agreement. This is adopting
something which twice, once in the
1950s, the U.S. Congress rejected. I am not even saying that we
should reject it; I, in fact, lean toward it. But I think we have
to be very careful, because it is a very big transfer of power.
In reality, the WTO is the third leg of the globalists plan for
a one-world, centrally-managed economic system. The intention
behind the creation of the WTO was to have a third institution
to handle the trade side in international economic cooperation,
joining two institutions created by Bretton Woods, the World Bank
and the International Monetary Fund.
For the United States to give up any bit of its sovereignty to
these unelected and unaccountable organizations can never manage
trade better than it naturally occurs in a true free market of
goods and services.
At best, who acts as a meddling middleman, taking a cut for unnecessary
services provided. At worst, it forces the United States to change
its domestic laws in ways that seriously harm our economy and
our sovereignty.
Economist Murray Rothbard said it best: You dont need a treaty
to have free trade.
Governments and quasi-government bodies like the WTO can only
politicize and interfere with the natural flow of goods and services
across borders. When we cede even a fraction of our sovereignty
to an organization like the WTO, we cannot hope to become more
prosperous or more free.
