American Free Press May 2, 2011 FBI Unlocks The Vault' By Pat Shannan and Victor Thorn
Federal Bureau of Investigation has placed thousands of pages of its history onto a website it refers to as "the Vault" and has advised the public to keep a close watch as more will be added. The files contain a treasure trove of new or little-known information about some of the most pivotal events of the 20th century.
From "A to Z" it has Al Capone to the Zionist Organization of America, with other likely cases one would expect in betweenMartin Luther King Jr., John Dillinger and the Rosenbergsto the unexpected finds of Kentucky Fried Chicken founder Col. Harlan Sanders, the beloved Will Rogers and comedian Jack Benny.
Conspicuously missing are files from the Oklahoma City bombing and TWA's downed Flight 800. Evidence has shown that the FBI was instrumental in the cover-up of pertinent facts in both of those high-profile cases.
In upcoming months AFP will profile other intriguing gems contained within the FBI's vast database. Some of these stories may broach subjects familiar to AFP and past Spotlight readers such as the tragic drowning of Teddy Kennedy aide Mary Jo Kopechne.
However, additional twists and turns from other sources will reveal elements of these cases that undoubtedly differ from official explanations.
Pop culture icons like John Denver are also surprisingly featured in a variety of FBI memos. Denver, well known for folksy songs like Rocky Mountain High, faced an alarming amount of unsubstantiated speculation that reflected the vindictive nature of FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover's bureau.
This week's center-spread provides a focused glimpse of the 2,000 documents that some refer to as "real life X-files." For starters, Pat Shannan analyzes the biggest revelations yet made by the FBI in regard to 1947's celebrated Roswell UFO crash.
One agent writes of this event, "three so-called flying saucers have been recovered in New Mexico," while another informant described "three bodies of human shape" that were removed along with the craft.
Next, Dave Gahary delves into the strange relationship between two seemingly polar opposites: thuggish JDL hit men and the violent gangsters who comprise inner city music. With death threats, extortion and murder at its core, this story shows the full extent of JDL terrorism in America and how they preyed on equally violent black street musicians.
Lastly, the FBI's obsession with antiwar protesters and counter-culture figures of the late 1960s and early 1970s is addressed. Further, one of the most enigmatic topics in the history of conspiracy research is broached, namely, could secret files be directly linked to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy, the kidnaping of Howard Hughes and the break-in at Watergate?

American Free Press May 2, 2011 AFP Was Right: U.S. Funding Arab Uprisings By Michael Collins Piper The New York Times and The Washington Post have finally admitted what AMERICAN FREE PRESS (AFP) asserted as far back as Feb. 14:
There is much more to the so-called "grassroots" revolutions in the Mideast than meets the eye. While critics accused AFP of purveying "conspiracy theories," the Times and the Post have now laid it on the line: American tax dollars have bankrolled a host of both private and quasi-public institutions that have been underwriting the revolutionary activity wreaking havoc throughout the Arab world.
The first inkling came in a report buried inside the Post on March 10, under the headline "U.S. funds web firms that help Mideast dissidents skirt censors." The report read in part:
The Obama administration may not be lending arms to dissidents in the Middle East, but it is offering aid in another critical way: Helping them surf the web anonymously as they seek to overthrow their governments. Federal agenciessuch as the State Department, the Defense Department and the Broadcasting Board of Governorshave been funding a handful of technology firms that allow people to get online without being tracked or to visit news or social media sites that governments have blocked. Many of these little-known companiessuch as the Tor Project or UltraReach are unabashedly supportive of the activists in the Middle East. . . .
Federal agencies have funded these companies through grants and contracts. By late spring, the State Department is expected to begin doling out even more moneyabout $30 millionto technology firms and human rights groups that help and train people to shatter Internet security and surf the web without being tracked.
On April 15 The New York Times was even more direct when it reported flat-out the fact that the U.S. had been a key behind-the-scenes force in instigating the so-called "Arab spring." Under the headline "U.S. groups helped nurture Arab uprisings," the report reads in part:
Even as the United States poured billions of dollars into foreign military programs and anti-terrorism campaigns, a small core of American government-financed organizations were promoting democracy in authoritarian Arab states. The money spent on these programs was minute compared with efforts led by the Pentagon.
But as American officials and others look back at the uprisings of the Arab spring, they are seeing that the United States' democracy-building campaigns played a bigger role in fomenting protests than was previously known, with key leaders of the movements having been trained by the Americans in campaigning, organizing through new media tools and monitoring elections.
A number of the groups and individuals directly involved in the revolts and reforms sweeping the region . . . received training and financing from groups like the International Republican Institute, the National Democratic Institute and Freedom House, a nonprofit human rights organization based in Washington. . . .
The Republican and Democratic institutes are loosely affiliated with the Republican and Democratic Parties. They were created by Congress and are financed through the National Endowment for Democracy, which was set up in 1983 to channel grants for promoting democracy in developing nations. The National Endowment receives about $100 million annually from Congress. Freedom House also gets the bulk of its money from the American government, mainly from the State Department.
With the truth of U.S. involvement in the orchestrated revolutions now being steadily unveiled, on April 18 The Washington Post stated in the headline of a front page lead story that "U.S. secretly backed Syrian opposition groups, cables released by WikiLeaks show." The Post story elaborated:
The State Department has secretly financed Syrian political opposition groups and related projects, including a satellite TV channel that beams anti-government programming into the country, according to previously undisclosed diplomatic cables. The London-based satellite channel, Barada TV, began broadcasting in April 2009 but has ramped up operations to cover the mass protests in Syria as part of a long-standing campaign to overthrow the country's autocratic leader, Bashar al-Assad. . . . Barada TV is closely affiliated with the Movement for Justice and Development, a London-based network of Syrian exiles.
Classified U.S. diplomatic cables show that the State Department has funneled as much as $6 million to the group since 2006 to operate the satellite channel and finance other activities inside Syria. . . . The U.S. money for Syrian opposition figures began flowing under President George W. Bush after he effectively froze political ties with Damascus in 2005. The financial backing has continued under President Obama, even as his administration sought to rebuild relations with Assad.
The U.S.-sponsored revolutions, in many respects, validate AFP's notation on Feb. 14 that the World Zionist Organization's Israeli-based magazine Kuvinim (as far back as 1982) had outlined a geopolitical strategy to disrupt and balkanize the Arab world, dividing the Arab states from within. That Israel's oft-touted "closest ally"the United Stateshas been found to now be implementing the agenda is to be expected.
One particularly influential hard-line American supporter of Israel, former Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.), explained in a Feb. 24 commentary in The Washington Times that supporting what was described as "democratic turmoil" was worth the risk for the United States.
After all, Coleman said, if "extremists" should happen to come to power in any of the nations where the U.S. had helped instigate revolutions, the United States must "prepare to confront their aggressive plans with stalwart resistance."
In case you didn't figure that out, Coleman meant military intervention. That's right. More war.

American Free Press May 2, 2011 Globalists Attend Bevy of Policy Meetings By James P. Tucker Jr. WASHINGTON, D.C.Trilateral Commission (TC) luminaries were bouncing like yo-yos during their meeting in Washington April 8-10, when they met at George Washington University's Elliot School of International Affairs.
Next, they hopped up the street to an Aspen Institute session on "Values and Diplomacy" at the National Cathedral, then some
darted north to the historic Bretton Woods II conference in New Hampshire. Several Aspen Institute leaders also attend Trilateral and Bilderberg meetings.
Since these sessions happened around the same time, the international elite had to agree on instructions to give the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF), which met in Washington over the weekend of April 16 to April 17.
Henry Kissinger was the biggest yo-yo, giving the same speech at all of these meetings. David Rockefeller, 94, had less bounce. As Rockefeller's valet, Kissinger kept his wheelchair moving briskly.
Kissinger, visibly depressed, gave a rationale for the war on Libya that the TC and its brother group, Bilderberg, want to keep rolling, according to an inside source who has proved reliable for years. Both groups want the war extended through 2012 to generate turmoil throughout the Middle East and pressure the United States into attacking Iran on behalf of Israel. Which would also produce huge war profits.
That it would be the greatest disaster for American policy in history is not important to these meddlers. In informal comments to bystanders before climbing to the podium, Kissinger continued groaning about a [expletive deleted] weekly journal that disclosed the Arab terrorists' role in the Libyan rebellion.
But Kissinger's only concern was that these facts "being forced into the national press makes it more difficult" to sell the invasion of Libya. After AFP exposed this, the major media picked it up but, for the most part, folded it deep into their Libya stories.
In all three speeches, Kissinger played the reluctant damsel who was firmly convinced that the United States must put boots on the ground in Libyaamong all the wars that the U.S. is already involved in. America "should always support democracy and human rights politically, economically and diplomatically, just as we championed freedom for the Captive Nations during the Cold War," Kissinger said. "But as a general principle, our country should do so militarily only when a national interest is also at stake."
He called this position "pragmatic realism." So what is America's national interest that is "at stake"? Libya is "an exception to the rule," he explained.
While the United States has "no vital interest at stake in Libya," Kissinger said, "a limited military intervention solely on humanitarian grounds
could be justified."Muammar Qadaffi's forces had already caused heavy casualties among civilians, he claimed. But no one will know for sure whether that is even true until the dust settles and independent journalists and researchers can get into Libya to study the situation. Again posturing as a reluctant warrior, Kissinger (a cook during World War II) said:
"Our idealistic goals cannot be the sole motivation for the use of force. We cannot be the world's policeman. We cannot use military force to meet every humanitarian challenge that might arise. Where would we stop? Syria, Yemen, Algeria or Iran? What about countries that have been strong allies but do not share all our values: Bahrain, Morocco and Saudi Arabia? What about humanitarian violations in other countries, such as Ivory Coast?"
In defiance of facts to justify the U.S. attack, Kissinger reached for the nuclear button:
Conduct by Libya "may tempt the Iranian regime to speed its development of a nuclear weapon. Rogue states have to remain convinced of our determination to resist nuclear proliferation."
So, according to Kissinger, invading Libya prevents Iran from developing nuclear weapons that would threaten Israel. Kissinger was not merely mistaken, he was lying as defined by eight centuries of Anglo-Saxon common law.
It is a lie when one deliberately tells an untruth to enrich himself, injure another or both.
Here's what Kissinger knows:
Iran is developing nuclear energy for electrical power. Iran is a member of the international group of nations opposing nuclear proliferation and allows its facilities to be inspected. Israel has unofficially had nuclear weapons since the 1960s and refuses to be inspected. This was first revealed by the late George Ball, undersecretary of state in the JFK administration and a Bilderberg luminary.
World Bank President Robert Zoellick, a leader of the Trilateralists and Bilderberg group, jumped on a food kick, also yo-yoing about the three meetings. He cited a 36-percent increase in food prices over the past year and called inflation the "biggest threat to the poor around the world."
Start with high inflation, Zoellick said, "mix in price gyrations, and then stir in higher fuel costs, and you get a toxic brew of real pain contributing to social unrest."
His remarks were intended to help pressure Congress into throwing more tax dollars at poor countries. The United States has long been the most generous nation on Earth, yet is routinely taken to the cleaners.
Also yo-yoing from the meetings in Washington and Bretton Woods were Trilateral-Bilderberg luminaries Larry Summers and Paul Volcker. Summers was a key White House economic adviser, and Volcker is a former Fed chairman who recently advised Barack Obama on a special economic panel until his replacement by General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt.
Both pushed hard for creating a "world treasury department" under the UN. This long-pending goal of the elite would give the International Monetary Fund power to dictate economic policy to every country on the globe.

American Free Press May 2, 2011 Worst Computer Hacker' in U.S. History Reveals He Was Paid Informant for Federal Government By Frank Whalen
In 2008 Albert Gonzalez was charged with committing the largest cyber crime in U.S. history. Today, Gonzalez claims the Secret Service, with whom he was working as a paid informant, sanctioned his actions. An examination of the facts seems to validate his claims that he is a scapegoat used to protect far deeper conspiracies.
Gonzalez was recruited by the Secret Service in 2003 and officially released from its employ in 2008. He assisted the government in arresting dozens of the world's most wanted cyber criminals. It was also during this time that the pieces of a much larger criminal puzzle came into focus by the Justice Department. According to The New York Times last year, the Justice Department's chief cyber crime prosecutor, Kim Peretti, described in 2005 that she encountered a new cyber crime wave unlike anything ever seen before.
"The service keeps calling me, saying, We've got another company that contacted us.' The volume was getting bigger and bigger," Ms. Peretti said. It is true. Cyber crime is huge business, netting criminals in Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe hundreds of billions of dollars in stolen money every year. No one is immune from cyber crime, either.
In 2010, AmericanFreePress.net, the website operated by AFP, was targeted by cyber criminals on two occasions. The second attack was so destructive that it took down the entire website for a week, forcing drastic changes in the way the site is managed.
As far as Gonzalez is concerned, the Secret Service worked closely with and was educated by Gonzalez for years. The Times states that Ms. Peretti achieved her position because of Gonzalez.
Gonzalez's reported annual salary of $75,000 from the Secret Service seems to validate the U.S. agency's belief in his
skills. Mark Rasch, a former federal prosecutor, said to Wired in 2010, "It's a significant amount of money to pay an informant, but it's not an outrageous amount if the guy was working full time and delivering good results."Were those results on behalf of the U.S. government criminal in nature? In an April 8, 2011 Wired report, Gonzalez wrote, in a legal motion to withdraw his guilty plea, that Secret Service agent Steve Ward once told him, "Go do your thing . . . just don't get caught."
SC Magazine also cited Gonzalez's motion. "The agents had me infiltrating chat rooms, setting people up, and then the agents would bust them. . . . They told me do what I have to do, just try not to get caught. All the time, I was educating the agents as to hacking methods and computer crimes."
It seems possible that Gonzalez was following orders by hacking some 170 million credit card files from America's biggest retailers, including the highly publicized TJ Maxx case. Perhaps he was allowed to keep some of the profits while recruiting other hackers to assist him in the acquisition of data, or he was instructed to use the evidence to frame other hackers whom the government was chasing.
Maybe the scope of this operation is the only reason Gonzalez hasn't been "suicided" while in prison. The Times reporter states, "One of the imprisoned hackers told me there were major chains and big hacks that would dwarf TJ Maxx. I'm just waiting for them to indict us for the rest of them."
Conceivably, after sitting in jail for a few years, Gonzalez realizes that his former employers intend for him to actually serve his 20-year sentence, and that's why he's now speaking out.
With the potential for credit card data theft to be monumentally larger, Gonzalez could have been an unwitting participant in a much bigger plan: worldwide financial collapse. In February 2010 the U.S. government had an exercise called Cyber Shockwave to see how this could manifest.

American Free Press May 2, 2011 SPOTLIGHT ON CONGRESS
Ohio's Kucinich Blasts White House For Meddling In Affairs Of Nations
Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) recently blasted the White House for Secretly meddling in the affairs of foreign countries, especially in Asia and the Middle East, where the United States is fighting at least three wars.
"When multiple reports came out detailing the level of intervention the United States had in the so-called Arab spring revolutions, you would think it would come as a shock," said Kucinich. "It wasn't. It"s increasingly clear just how far our country has waded into the affairs of others with a policy of intervention, war and preemption."
Kucinich added that Washington has no business sticking its nose into the affairs of other countries.
"The United States has no right to interfere in the internal affairs of any other nation, just as no otner nation has the right to interfere in the internal affairs of the United States," he said.
Kucinich was responding to new reports that the White House was actively sponsoring demonstrations in countries like Syria while at the same time negotiating with Syrian government officials.
"The United States was financing the political opposition in Syria at the same time that the administration was pursuing a policy of engagement with the Syrian government," said Kucinich.
However, he added, no one in Congress seemed to care about the fact that the U.S. government's hypocrisy was exposed.
Is it any surprise then that many people around the world now view the United States government as duplicitous and scheming?
"If we don't have integrity in our dealings with other countries," Kucinich said, "there is no reason for anyone to believe anything the U.S. government will say. Reforms in Syria and other countries may be necessary but must come from within. Outside interference runs the risk of precipitating violence, inviting retaliation and even more violence."
While this policy does nothing for the American people, it does benefit the weapon-makers, who make billions of dollars arming both the governments of foreign countries as well as the rebel forces that are battling them.
Most importantly, said Kucinich, "Our destructive and inconsistent foreign policy is contributing to a war of all against all."

American Free Press May 2, 2011 SPOTLIGHT ON CONGRESS
Stinkbugs Costing U.S. Farmers Million$ They came from China in the 1990s, most likely hitching a free ride on shipping crates that had been loaded onto cargo ships. After first being identified by entomologists in Allentown, Pa., these nast Asian insects - called brown marmorated "stinkbugs" for the noxious odor they emit when squashed - have new spread across the country, destroying crops and irritating homeowners in 33 out of the 50 states in the union. (Marmorated means "resembling marble.") They have no natural enemy in America.
To most people, the bugs are just a nuisance. Bot to farmers, they cost big bucks.
Last year, according to reports, stinkbugs cost apple growers on the East Coast an estimated $37 million in damages. A spokesman for the U.S. Apple Association told a Washington daily newspaper that stinkbugs are "the most serious invasive pest threat" to U.S. agriculture "in a generation." Stinkbugs join the emerald ash borer on the list of Asian imports that are wreaking havoc on agriculture and our forests.
Unlike many pests, stinkbugs are indiscriminate in the types of crops they target, including apples, peaches, pears, corn, soybeans, tomatoes and grapes. They are also resistant to many pesticides as well as organic means typically used to fight pests.
At a recent town hall meeting in Maryland called to address farmers' concerns about the bugs, Rep. Roscoe Bartlett (D-Md.) said: "We were in a big building and I looked down at my name tag in front of me on the table, and there was a stinkbug crawling on it."
In an effort to strike back, Barlett has initiated an Invasive Species Caucus along with Rep. Tod Russell Platts (R-Pa.). The two legislators say they will be inviting Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and other members of Congress "to see the stinkbugs in action" so that they can appropriate funds to study ways to control them.

American Free Press May 2, 2011 Memo On Mysterious Roswell Crash Turns Up In Released Files By Pat Shannan Ever Since Mac Brasell heard the crash on his New Mexico ranch on July 2, 1947, later discovering the flying saucer debris, and the local mortician telling of the weird little bodies that were hastily placed in child caskets and buried in a secret location, the U.S. government's official stand on the subject of unidentified flying objects has been strangely reticent - taking neither a "yea" nor "nay" stand.
However, from the files of the FBI Vault, a 1950 letter has surfaced from Washington Bureau Special Agent in Charge, Guy Hottel, reporting another agent's interview with U.S. Air Force personnel, presumably at Roswell Air force Base.
Hottel's report confirmed what the government never has before:
"An investigator for the Air Force stated that three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico. They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter. Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only three feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed flyers and test pilots.
"According to Mr. [name redacted], informant, the saucers were found in New Mexico due to the fact that the government has a very high-powered radar set-up in that area and it is believed the radar interferes with the controlling mechanism of the saucers. No further evaluation was attempted by SA [name redacted] concerning the above."
The document confirms that both Washington and the military have long been aware of the details relating to the incident but have continued for well over a half century to keep it from public view. A further file did claim the crafts were actually weather balloons.

American Free Press May 2, 2011 A Look at the Federal Reserve in the Era of Transparency' the next time you have a conversation with some friends about government finance and money, be sure to mention that the federal reserve is not federal but private. Confidently and quickly add, if you will, that the Fed is no more federal than the Federal Laundry on Main Street.
In Article I, section 8 of the U.S. Constitution the powers of Congress are enumerated. Among them is the power "To coin Money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures."
In December 1913, with many of its legislators on Christmas vacation, Congress passed the Federal Reserve Act, establishing the Federal Reserve Corporation, with a board of directors (the Federal Reserve Board) to run it. It also divided the United States into 12 Federal Reserve districts. From that point on, Congress was out of the picture. They abdicated their constitutional duty to coin money. And President Woodrow Wilson signed the legislation into law.
Judge Andrew Napolitano, writing in his enlightening book Lies the Government Told You,* lists as Lie No. 8 "The Federal Reserve Shall be controlled by Congress." According to the judge, "the federal government not only claimed it could exert control over a private corporation in which it was not even a stockholder but also claimed that such an uncontrolled private corporation would be working for the benefit of the American people rather than to enrich itself. It was to be the lender of last resort' that would keep all Americans prosperous. As absurd as they sound, these myths continue to be believed and perpetuated even today."
The judge further charges that the word "Reserve" is also a lie: "A reserve implies, and many people believe, that money is being stored away to use in a crisis, and that gold and other hard money are stored in order to ensure that all debts can be paid. This is not the case. Though original notes issued by the Federal reserve stated, This note is legal tender for all debts public and private, and is redeemable in lawful money at the United States treasury or at any Federal Reserve bank,' this was changed by a 1963 amendment.
"The notes now read, This note is legal tender for debts public and private.' By removing the promise ../and is redeemable in lawful money..' the Federal Reserve, with the support of the federal government, eliminated a constitutional monetary system and replaced it with paper and public debt."
Thomas Jefferson is believed to have said 200 years ago: "If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of their property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."
Monetary expert Eustace Mullins, writing in his important book The Federal Reserve Conspiracy, said: "Removal of the Federal Reserve System from congressional control and supervision made the entire Federal Reserve proposition unconstitutional from its inception, because the Federal Reserve would be a bank of monetary issue, and Congress is expressly charged in the Constitution with the issuance of money - Article 1, Section 8, Paragraph 5."
Today Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) is leading the fight in Congress to abolish the private and unconstitutional Federal Reserve. He writes in a recent book: "The day the Fed came into being in 1913 may have been the beginning of the end, but the powers it obtained and the mischief it caused took a long time to become a serious issue and a concern for average Americans."
"The Fed's inability to manage this unworkable system is more apparent every day. The question remains whether a new conspiracy on money and central banking can replace what we have, or will we choose a system of money compatible with a free society?
"The answer will come from an informed and enraged populace. Congress will then respond, but only when it is impossible not to."
Time is of the essence. Write your representative in Congress and tell him or her you want action now.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Guilty Verdict Stuns By Pat Shannan
Looking pale and drawn from 11 months of jail house food and no sunlight, Idaho attorney Edgar Steele, 65, was finally able to face his accusers when his federal trial began in Boise on April 27. He was charged with hiring his handyman to murder his wife and mother-in-law. On May 5, his jury of 11 women and one man found him guilty on all four counts: murder for hire, use of interstate commerce for same, possession of a destructive device and tampering with a victim.
The jury had to sort out who plotted against whom. Did Steele want his wife murdered, or did Larry Fairfax, 50, steal the family's silver from its secret hiding place and then fabricate the murder plot as a cover-up?
Jailhouse inmate Darrell Hollingsworth testified that Fairfax told him that the FBI had "made a deal" with him to frame Steele.
A crudely constructed pipe bomb was found underneath Cyndi's SUV when she stopped for a routine oil change in Coeur d'Alene on June 15, but the fuse was faulty and had failed to ignite from muffler heat as the culprits apparently expected. Fairfax had admitted last year that he had placed the bomb there two weeks earlier.
Lending a further shadow of suspicion over authorities was their own court testimony that no fingerprinting of the bomb was attempted before or after removal. The Steeles claimed they were "set up" because of his politically incorrect stand on various issues. Both Cyndi and daughter Kelsey, 20, testified that they have endured telephone death threats for several years.
Several FBI audio recordings of Steele played for the jury sounded potentially incriminating, but defense attorneys enlisted the aid of two audio experts who, independently, found the recordings to be contrived.
One listed over 300 suspicious discrepancies and went so far as to assert that the voice discussing the murder-for-hire payoffs with Fairfax was not that of Steele.
At the April 20 to 21 pretrial hearings, Judge Lynn Winmill dealt the defense a severe blow by ruling that the recordings could be entered into the case but not the testimony of the two experts, Dr. George Papcun of Santa Fe, N.M. and Dennis Walsh, a former NYC detective in charge of audio at the precinct level.
Their testimony had the potential to destroy the government's case as well as provoke a fraud investigation, but it was not heard.
Unexpected testimony from Fairfax during cross-examination revealed that he was writing a book, but after examining over 250 pages of manuscript, the court determined there were no incriminating admissions or confessions. More details of the case will emerge.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 The Plot Against Free Speech By Michael Collins Piper
Former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) is an appealing candidate to many conservatives, but he has does have a dark side. Although he fervently declared in 2006 that "the American people have always rallied to the cause of freedom," just a few years earlier Santorum planned a war against a traditional American libertyfreedom of speech.
In 2003, Santorum planned to introduce "ideological diversity" legislation that would cut federal funding for American universities found to be permitting professors, students and student organizations to openly criticize Israel. Santorum considered criticism of Israel to be "anti-Semitism."
Santorum wanted to rewrite the federal funding formula under Title IX of the Higher Education Act to include "ideological diversity" as a prerequisite for federal funding. Joining Santorum was another pro-Israel ideologue, then-Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kan.), who had his own scheme to institute a federal commissioncritics called it a "tribunal"to be established under Title IX to "investigate" anti-Semitism on American campuses.
Although the average student or academic had not heard of the scheme, Wayne Firestone, director of the Center for Israel Affairs for the Hillel Foundation, said that "Everywhere I go, this is the lead topic. This is drawing a lot of interest."
It was Hillela national network of pro-Israel student- manned "campus police"that first leaked word of Santorum's scheme. Further details appeared on April 15, 2003 in The New York Sun, a pro-Israel daily published by a clique of billionaire financiers.
Hillel told supporters that Santorumand several GOP senatorsincluding Brownback (now governor of Kansas)had invited representatives of a number of Jewish organizations to attend a private meeting on Capitol Hill to discuss concerns about growing criticism of Israel on campuses.
At the meeting were the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) of B'nai B'rith, the Zionist Organization of America, the American Jewish Committee and Hillel. In the meantime, word of the Santorum initiative was spreading as a result of an expos? by AMERICAN FREE PRESS (AFP).Widely circulated on the Internet, the AFP report arrived in the emails of educators across the United States and around the globe. As a consequence of growing concern about the scheme, the pro-Israel lobby began denying Santorum had proposed such legislation, claiming the AFP story was a lie.
Ultimately, the New York-based Jewish Week reported on May 9, 2003 that the State Department had contacted senators to advise them that Palestinian newspapers were carrying the story about Santorum and asking if the story was true.
Jewish Week's storytitled "Diversity Disinformation"declared a "rumor of pending legislation barring campus criticism of Israel was sweeping Arab and left-wing media." The article asserted that "the story originated with . . . conspiracy theorists and Holocaust revisionists."
Obviously, this was a lie, since AFP's report was based on a story in a pro-Israel newspaper. Despite this, Jewish Week said the story "has become an article of faith throughout the Arab world and in some U.S. left-wing circles," and asserted that "to pro-Israel leaders and leading members of the Senate, it's a dangerous urban legend at best, deliberate disinformation at worst."
The article in the pro-Israel Sun stated flatly, in discussing the Capitol Hill meeting where the scheme originated: By the end of the meeting yesterday, Mr. Santorum was talking about introducing legislation that could cut federal funding to colleges where anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiments are prevalentor more generally, where "ideological diversity" is lacking.
Yet, now that the story had been unveiled, Jewish Week contradicted the Sun and claimed that "No such legislation has been introduced or even contemplated."
According to an un-named source, cited by Jewish Week, the Capitol Hill meeting featured "many presentations from different groups," failing to mention that the "different" groups were all pro-Israel organizations.
The "new" version of events, as outlined by Jewish Week, never mentioned that Santorum's colleague, Brownback, had urged formation of a federal commission to "investigate" so-called anti-Semitism on campus.
So, if the story was an "urban legend," why did a pro-Israel newspaper publish the story in the first place?
As a candidate for president, Santorum should be forced to address the controversy surrounding this matter.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 The NWO's Ultimate Bogeyman By Victor Thorn Before anyone buys into the premise that Osama bin Laden's death was faked for political purposes, they first must accept the
premise that 9-11 was a staged false-flag terror attack executed by elements within the Israeli government and U.S. neo-cons. The 19 Muslim"hijackers" and al Qaeda served as nothing more than convenient patsies, with bin Laden becoming the ultimate bogeyman.
In the decade since this horrific event, the U.S. taxpayers have spent over $1 trillion$700 billion in Iraq and $400 billion in Afghanistanfighting Israel's wars. While college students cheered in front of the White House and others celebrated bin Laden's demise in Times Square, they failed to comprehend one vital fact:
America's economy is being bankrupted by a military-industrial- banking machine that, at least in part, resulted from our continuing "war on terror."
For nearly 10 years, bin Laden stood at the center of this perpetual waran enemy that could be everywhere, nowhere, or anyplace in between. But few realize that the CIA originally created this six-foot-five-inch 9-11 "mastermind" in the late 1970s after the Soviets invaded Afghanistan.
Oddly enough, bin Laden's relatives had been engaging in business deals with the Bush family since the early 1970s. Around this same time, as the Vietnam War came to a close, the CIA needed greener pastures for its lucrative opium trade.
So, after Russia's humiliating defeat, Afghanistan's drug trade flourished as bin Laden became the undisputed leader of al Qaeda. After a major oil deal went awry and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East became a major stumbling block, a break ensued between the Taliban and Western leaders.
Unable to resolve their disputes, those in the Project for a New American Century (PNAC) decided that they needed a "new Pearl Harbor" to once again get Americans primed for a series of long, protracted wars.
PNAC advocates simply couldn't unleash an unprovoked attack on Afghanistan and Iraq, so the invention of a new enemy was a prerequisite.
It is believed bin Laden, a long-time CIA asset who was suffering from kidney failure in the months preceding 9-11, died in December 2001. But his death didn't stop U.S. and Israeli leaders and the controlled media from making him the poster boy for global terrorism, a role he held until he was finally killed off a second time in Pakistan.
Victor Thorn is a hard-hitting researcher, journalist and the author of many books on 9-11 and the New World Order. These include 9-11 Evil: The Israeli Role in 9-11 and Phantom Flight 93.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Uprisings in Syria Appear to Be The Work of Foreign Agitators By Keith Johnson On April 29, this writer interviewed Jonathan Azaziah, a prolific journalist and researcher specializing in international Zionism. Azaziah is also a staff writer for Pakistan's Opinion Maker and editor for Mask of Zion.
AFP asked Azaziah about the Salafi groups triggering Syria's unrest. By all credible accounts they appear to be proxies of a more nefarious hidden hand manipulating this so-called peaceful revolution.
"It was clear that there was something violently wrong with these Syrian protests from the beginning," said Azaziah. "In Syria, Assad enjoys an 80 percent approval rating. This is simply not the behavior of dignified Syrian people, who have rejected sectarianism and have offered their full support to the Lebanese resistance and Iran."
Azaziah continued, "In reality, the protesters are split between two foreign-backed camps: the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood, which is being manipulated and ordered around by Jordan and Saudi Arabiatwo of Israel's greatest alliesand a more techno-savvy group of reformists which are being funded, guided and organized by the Reform Party of Syria, a U.S.-based organization led by Farid el-Ghadry. El-Ghadry is a Syrian exile, who is a proud member of AIPAC [American Israel Public Affairs Committee] and is known for being the first Syrian to give a speech to the Israeli Knesset."
The western voice of Syrian protests is Ammar Abdulhamid. According to Azaziah, "The mass media has already named him the Syrian Revolution's
spokesperson. But let's not forget that Abdulhamid is a fellow at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution, arguably the most influential Zionist think tank in the U.S."Azaziah concluded, "With these menel-Ghadry and Abdulhamidguiding the protests, coupled with the orchestrated chants of the Saudi-owned Syrian Muslim Brotherhood and the more recent outcries of Come Obama, come Israel, come take Syria, anything is better than Assad,' it's very clear who is behind these protests and why they began."
Meanwhile, the march to Iran continues. As the West finishes up Libya, the next domino to fall could be Syria, Iran's closest Arab ally and one of Israel's most coveted prizes in its drive to create a Greater Israel. This long-held Zionist dream envisions a promised land that expands present day Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates, encompassing all of the Arab Mideast.
Oded Yinon, once a senior advisor at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, laid out the blueprints for this ambitious plan in his 1982 paper entitled A Strategy for Israel in the 1980s that identified Iraq and Syria as "Israel's primary target on the eastern front."
Now that Iraq is in chaos, the Zionists have trained their sights on Syria. Using the recent Arab uprisings as cover, Israel's Mossad and its allies within the American and British intelligence communities have been working within the framework of foreign-funded "color revolutions" to incite violence, unrest and instability.
For several weeks, international media outlets have glamorized protests breaking out across Syria as grassroots resistance movements intent on taming Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. However, these so-called peaceful demonstrators have been running amok on the streets of Dara'a and elsewhere, tearing down monuments, torching buildings and terrorizing citizens.
Violence culminated over the Easter holiday when upwards of 120 civilians were reported killed, allegedly by Syrian troops and militiamen. Almost immediately, the International Committee of Juristswhich has repeatedly turned a blind eye to Israel's countless atrocitiesthreatened to indict Assad on war crimes.
The following Tuesday, U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice called on the United Nations to impose sanctions against the Syrian government in response to "outrageous and ongoing use of violence against peaceful protesters."
The request was denied after Russia and India voiced their objections, citing numerous reports of Syrian forces being killed by armed insurgents.
On April 19, a few days prior to the violence that erupted in Dara'a, Bassam Abu Abdulla of the Al Watan news agency in Damascus said that the protests were the work of Salafi groups, a minority faction of fanatical provocateurs imported by the West.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Big Brother's True Agenda Revealed in Airport Security By Frank Whalen As Big Brother struggles to find a rationale for maintaining and expanding its total surveillance society, once again alerts are being raised on air travelers as potential terrorists.
While the Transportation Security administration inspires more outrage through its intrusive pat-down process and its body-scan imaging that have caused several scandals, department of Homeland security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano offered a de facto compromise to calm angry and violated fliers who advocated common sense over fear-based protocols.
And take note that her statement came before Americans were faced with the heightened alerts that follow thee announced death of Osama bin Laden, as intelligence agencies claim America must brace for potential retaliations.
What Mrs. Napolitano, who has come to be known as "Big Sis," said on April 20 was that DHS is "expanding trust and traveler programs, programs where people will get biometric cards. They've already supplied information. We know they are safe to travel. We can move them through the system. That's doing to be expanded this year. That allows us to remove a number of people from the screening process."
Has Washington's end game been revealed? If you submit your Social Security number and fingerprints and agree to retinal scans you won't have to submit to groping or naked scans while traveling through airports.
According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website, this program - known as GOES, or Global Online enrollment System - requires that "every individual who would like to apply for membership - children included and multiple applicants in one household - must create a separate account within GOES, submit a separate application, and schedule a separate interview appointment upon conditional approval."
In essence, this is a continuation of ongoing efforts to collect personal data such as with the national healthcare ID program, passports and drivers licenses, Social Security numbers, information-gathering by the IRS and the Census bureau, as well as numerous governmental watch lists. The private sector also seems happy to comply with contributions such as OnStar, LoJack, Google's WiFi hacking and street-view maps, the GPS functionality of smart phones and laptops as well as the airlines' "no-fly" lists.
According to the Global Entry Trusted Traveler Network website, participants at airports will "proceed to Global entry kiosks, present their machine-readable U.S. passport or permanent resident card, place their fingertips on the scanner for fingerprint verification and make a customs declaration. The kiosk issues each traveler a transaction receipt and directs the traveler to baggage claim and the exit."
The website also describes the prerequisites needed to join this program: "All applicants undergo a rigorous background check and interview."
The process begins with a non-refundable $100 fee and then upon review, the applicant is instructed to schedule an interview at a Global Entry Enrollment center within 30 days of conditional approval.
At that interview, "A U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer will ask you questions, take your photo and collect biometric information."
Moreover, "All applicants must voluntarily undergo a thorough background check against criminal, law enforcement, customs, immigration, agriculture and terrorist indices to include biometric fingerprint checks and a personal interview with a CBP officer."
Follow-up interviews may be required. And some law enforcement databases used in the process appear to include Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration. The site also states, "Having a criminal record or past violation of CBP laws/regulations/ policies may render you ineligible for participation."
It's unlikely that this system will do anything more than promise future convenience for a traveler willing to undergo a massively intrusive, unconstitutional process, only to have to do it all over again when the program membership expires.
It does, however, bring in a great deal of highly personal data on individuals, and presumably a large amount of revenue for government.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Smart Phone' Spying Exposed by Jeffrey Smith In a series of new revelations researchers have found that personal electronic devices carried by millions of Americans collect and transmit a wide range of sensitive private data on their owners' activities, movements and associations. This information is promptly delivered to various government agencies and sold to private groups. But in at least one situation, which patriots are calling outrageous, the cell phone data collection would be impossible with out the involvement of a key foreign technology.
Since 2008, constitutionalists and civil libertarians in Michigan have been protesting the growing practice of the Michigan state police's downloading of personal data from cell phones during standard traffic stops.
The warrantless electronic searches are now possible due to the development of a new device, which has the ability to download the content of a cell phone in 90 seconds, including where the cell phone user has been along with a date and time stamp, a history of calls that had been made and received, emails and deleted emails as well as photos.
The new device which makes the Michigan and other government agencies' actions possible, is the Cellebrite UFED, designed and manufactured in Israel.
In late April, with the storm of media coverage the one aspect of the story that the mainstream media has avoided was the mention of Israel's involvement in the matter. One popular short wave and Internet conservative radio hose very carefully avoided any mention of the Cellebrite's national origins.
In recent years, Michigan patriots have wanted to know more about Israel's covert program of personal electronic device surveillance only to run into a solid wall of silence. Finally the state branch of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), in an unrelated action, brought a freedom of information request asking for any information in the program which may show how the Cellebrite device is being used.
The device, according to the manufacturer's literature, can read 3,000 models of cell phones, bypassing any passwords or firewalls. After over a year of strong resistance, Michigan agreed to share some information on the program but only if the ACLU or other interested parties could pay the state $544,680 for what they said was the cost to the state of their providing documents on the program.
The continuing revelations have prompted several members of Congress to move toward holding hearings in the matter. Early last week, Rep. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) sent a strongly worded letter to Apple president Steve Jobs asking the extent of the iPhone's collection of users' sensitive data. The letter also probed if Apple had violated a key section of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 which prohibits disclosure or access to user's location data without express prior customer authorization. It appears that no one in the telecom industry, various layers of government or private beneficiaries of phone users' personal data have complied with the law.
In further developments, several major media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal have revealed that the latest generation of cell phones and other personal electronic devices, especially, smart phones, have the ability to keep location data, with timestamp, for up to a year. Researchers have also found that many major brands of phones have the ability to sense not only the location of the phones, but their proximity to other phones in the area, providing a detailed picture of personal associations, and they can do this even if the phones are turned off.
Many researchers note that newer phones prevent the removal of batteries and memory (SIM) card - the key identifying devices in phones - or make it nerly impossible to remove them. Thus, a phone may be off, but it is not really deactivated and can continue to spy on its owner's activities and habits.
Information is often sold to a wide variety of commercial marketers, advertisers and in some cases to the academic community for sociological studies. Telecommunication firms say that they "strip off" names of users before their personal data is sold, but few people actually believe them.
Some engineers contend it is possible for phones even with batteries removed to be designed to remain active, collecting information for an unknown period of time. They also warn that removal of the battery and SIM card does not protect against the device containing an RFID chip and coming near one of the thousands of reader stations, with have proliferated in cities and even small town of late.
Meanwhile, a number of sources are warning that both government agencies and foreign governments can increasingly pull formerly secure information from cell phones and mobile devices by wireless means, needing only 300 feet proximity to the device. The threat of wireless interrogation of devices has risen to the point that several leading patriotic activists have taken to storing their mobile devices in double-walled radio signal resistant enclosures. Experts warn, however, that while such enclosures offer some protection, they are seldom totally effective.
Observers in the Midwest say there may be a very important reason why Michigan is doing everything not to answer simple questions on these apparent activities. Given that the device, which makes the program possible, is an Israeli product with strong intelligence-gathering potential, the device had to be approved or at least come to the notice of layers of intelligence agencies before its importation.
There is also the question of who trained the Michigan state police and other government agencies involved in the device's use.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Goals of Globalists Revealed at Recent Policy Meetings By James P. Tucker Jr. As Bilderberg prepares to gather in St. Moritz, Switzerland June 9-12, they remain determined, despite setbacks, to hurt you in two essential ways: Increase the cost of gasoline in America to more than $7 a gallon and create a world treasury agency to redistribute your wealth.
By forcing the price of gasoline up, Bilderberg, like its brother group, the Trilateral Commission (TC), wants to keep Americans in a recession through 2012 and pressure Congress and the White House into not only maintaining, but increasing, foreign aid. This, they reason, will bring down the American standard of living while lifting that of poor nations. The entire world is to have roughly the same standard of living - low.
There goals were clearly stated by Henry Kissinger, Joseph Nye, Jr. And other internationalists at the recent Trilateral Commission meeting in Washington and will be restated in Switzerland. Hungry Americans will "eagerly accept" a world treasury entity "by the end of 2012," both said.
Both tried to sound hopeful, although the Bilderberg-TC elites have suffered huge setbacks for years. In the 1990s, they were confident there would be an American Union by the year 2000 - a superstate similar to the European Union, wherein nations surrender their sovereignty.
The arrogant EU parliament imposes laws on member states, though Switzerland has managed to stay out of the EU. The EU court overrules decisions of national courts and imposes its will throughout the continent.
But even in greater Europe, there is resistance as public knowledge increases about the global elite and its plans.
Britain has also refused to join the EU and continues to trade in pounds, not in euros. And Americans are not about to trade in "ameros" or some other new currency. National currency is seen as a symbol of sovereignty.
Also, keeping the invasion of Libya alive and the Mideast in turmoil remains a high Bilderberg group priority.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Ohio Rep." Anti-War Stance Should Be Supported by All Editorial By attempting to murder the leader of a foreign country who made no strike against America or Europe, NATO, a European defense alliance largely funded by U.S. taxpayers, violated U.S. and internationally accepted legal norms.
U.S. Executive Order 12,333, which was signed by President Ronald Reagan, states "no person employed by or acting on behalf of the U.S. government shall engage in, or conspire to engage in, assassination," In addition, assassination is generally accepted to be illegal under laws set forth at The Hague.
Worse still, by agreeing to launch a NATO attack on Libya, Barack Obama usurped Congress's sole authority to declare war. Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) has called the president's authorization of the war against Libya, without congressional consent, an "impeachable offense."
But while such realities loomed over his head, President Obama laughed and sipped champagne at the White House Correspondents Dinner on April 30 - right when NATO forces fired missiles into his youngest son's home in Tripoli in an attempt to assassinate Muammar Qadaffi. This mission to murder the longtime Libyan leader was unsuccessful. However, his 29-year-old son and three grandchildren - all under 12 years of age - were slaughtered by NATO's precision air strikes.
For all the talk about this supposed peace president, Obama is easily as war happy as the one preceding him, since the U.S.-NATO war machine killed these innocent non-combatants. In this sense, how are the individuals who commanded these attacks any different than war criminals in the Bush-Cheney administration?
On March18, Obama assured the American public that our involvement in Libya would be "days, not weeks," upon which time the U.S. military would then assume a mere supportive role. He also insisted that the United States place no "boots on the ground." Yet, as veteran White House reporter Keith Koffler wrote on March 30, "CIA operatives have been on the ground in Libya directing air strikes and gathering intel," ever since this undeclared war began. Lies and misrepresentations are the order of the day.
When George W. Bush was president, American Free Press, after researching the matter, labeled him a war criminal, as did many other honest politicians, journalists and activists on both the right and left. But while the bush machine murdered countless innocents in Iraq and Afghanistan, now a precedent has been set that the U.S.-NATO combine can invade a country without any congressional approval and arbitrarily assassinate any foreign leader it pleases, no matter what the truth is about that leader.
Obama's irresponsible violence can lead to nothing else but retaliation - justified retaliation.
Many more Americans need tojoin with AFP and Ohio Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich in denouncing Obama and company for starting yet another unnecessary, expensive unconstitutional war.
So let's call this killing of Libyans what it is a despicable, impeachable and un-American act.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Expect Terror War To Go On Forever By Mark Anderson Whether the real Osama bin Laden actually died at the hands of U.S. Special Forces in Pakistan on May 1 is highly doubted in unofficial circles, but in any case, top officials say America's grueling 10-year war on terror will continue unabated. The American people will not be permitted to declare victory and bring the troops home now that the supposed leader of the world's largest terrorist enemy has been shot dead and, strangely, buried at sea, as the story goes.
"It'd be a big mistake to assume it's all over with," former Vice President dick Cheney soberly told ABC News.
President Obama added in his speech to the nation, "His death does not mark the end of our effort. There's no doubt that all qaeda will continue to pursue attacks against us. We must be vigilant at home and abroad." New CIA director Leon Panetta added, "Though bin Laden is dead, al Qaeda is not.
This means America will continue filling the veterans hospitals with the maimed, the disfigured and the forgotten.
The U.S. has sacrificed nearly 5,000 soldiers, in drastically deflated official numbers, to "get" bin Laden, yet this does not count the minimum of 50,000 actual war dead from all causes on all current war fronts - including those who died after battlefield service from cancers associated with depleted uranium munitions exposure, as Army Maj. Doug Rokke (ret.) has told AFP.
Disease and non-battle injuries (DNBI) historically claim more lives than those from direct combat, and soldier suicides, also not counted in official was-death reports often surpass actual battlefield deaths.
"Figures released by the armed services showed an alarming increase in suicides in 2010." Joe Donnelly wrote on Congress.org. "Overall, the services reported 434 suicides by personnel on active duty, significantly more than the 381 suicides by active-duty personnel reported in 2009. The 2010 total is below the 462 official deaths in combat, excluding accidents and illness. In 2009 active-duty suicides exceeded deaths in battle.
Architect Richard Gage has shown evidence of an inside job on 9-11, saying sophisticated explosives were used to beyond al Qaeda's access and capabilities. The research of physicist Steven Jones supports Gage. Furthermore, researcher Craig Ranke and firsthand witness April Gallop have cast enormous doubt on the story that a commercial airliner hit the Pentagon. And photographs show a total lack of discernable plane wreckage at the supposed crash site in Shanksville, Pa.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Terrorists Osama bin Laden Is Dead - Yet Again By Paul Craig Roberts If today were April 1 and not May 2, we could dismiss as an April Fool's joke this morning's headline that Osama bin Laden was killed in a firefight in Pakistan and quickly buried at sea. As it is, we must take it as more evidence that the US government has unlimited belief in the gullibility of Americans.
Think about it. What are the chances that a person allegedly suffering from kidney disease and requiring dialysis and, in addition, afflicted with diabetes and low blood pressure, survived in mountain hideaways for a decade? If bin Laden was able to acquire dialysis equipment and medical care that his condition required, would not the shipment of dialysis equipment point to his location? Why did it take ten years to find him?
Consider also the claims, repeated by a triumphalist US media celebrating bin Laden's death, that "bin Laden used his millions to bankroll terrorist training camps in Sudan, the Philippines, and Afghanistan, sending holy warriors' to foment revolution and fight with fundamentalist Muslim forces across North Africa, in Chechnya, Tajikistan and Bosnia."
That's a lot of activity for mere millions to bankroll (perhaps the US should have put him in charge of the Pentagon), but the main question is: how was bin Laden able to move his money about? What banking system was helping him? The US government succeeds in seizing the assets of people and of entire countries, Libya being the most recent. Why not bin Laden's? Was he carrying around with him $100 million dollars in gold coins and sending emissaries to distribute payments to his far-flung operations?
This morning's headline has the odor of a staged event. The smell reeks from the triumphalist news reports loaded with exaggerations, from celebrants waving flags and chanting "USA USA." Could something else be going on?
No doubt President Obama is in desperate need of a victory. He committed the fool's error or restarting the war in Afghanistan, and now after a decade of fighting the US faces stalemate, if not defeat. The wars of the Bush/Obama regimes have bankrupted the US, leaving huge deficits and a declining dollar in their wake. And re-election time is approaching.
The various lies and deceptions, such as "weapons of mass destruction," of the last several administrations had terrible consequences for the US and the world. But not all deceptions are the same. Remember, the entire reason for invading Afghanistan in the first place was to get bin Laden. Now that President Obama has declared bin Laden to have been shot in the head by US special forces operating in an independent country and buried at sea, there is no reason for continuing the war.
Perhaps the precipitous decline in the US dollar in foreign exchange markets has forced some real budget reductions, which can only come from stopping the open-ended wars.
Until the decline of the dollar reached the breaking point, Osama bin Laden, who many experts believe to have been dead for years, was a useful bogyman to use to feed the profits of the US military/security complex.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Obama vs. Osama: A Very Convenient Death By Victor Thorn The compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan (75 miles north of Islamabad, where Osama bin Laden supposedly met his demise on May 1 at the hands of a highly sensitive U.S. ground operation was eight times larger than any other building in the area. Built in 2005, these headquarters, described as "a highly unusual structure," were well guarded and extremely secure.
Didn't anyone in our military or intelligence community - for six long years - question the purpose of this fortress or the identity of its occupants? A $25 million reward lingered over bin Laden's head, yet not a single person revealed the whereabouts of the world's most famous terrorist?
With the NSA's technological capabilities, not to mention the precision of Google Earth, was no one in our multibillion-dollar spook industry capable of locating a Muslim who stands six feet four inches and drags around a dialysis machine?
Only moments after Barack Obama announced the death of this Orwellian perpetual enemy, former national security advisor Stephen Hadley proclaimed, "Osama bin Laden was hiding in clear view.
Was Hadleys statement accurate, or is it a bit inconvenient to mention that the Egyptian newspaper al-Wafd ran a funeral announcement for bin Laden on Dec. 26, 2001? Multiple other reports from a wide variety of sources - ranging back years - flatly stated, in one version or another, that bin Laden has long been dead.
AFP has diligently chronicled such reports that largely seen to have been missed or otherwise suppressed by the elite media in the United States.
Even more incredibly, White House officials described how (according to their version of events) the first intelligence threads pointing to bin Laden's Pakistani locale arrived I August 2010. Still, he purportedly wasn't killed for another eight months. How many people can go that long without paying parking tickets, let alone when you are the most wanted man in the world?
Bin Laden's supposed homicide arrived at a time when Obama's popularity had plummeted to a dangerously low point. Tycoon Donald Trump hammered him for a month straight with allegations concerning his birth certificate while also calling Obama "the worst president ever."
Amid this onslaught, Obama teetered appearing weak as gas prices skyrocketed the economy sputtered and the war against Libya faced ruin.
NATO's April 30 assassination attempt on Muammar Qadaffi had backfired, with the Libyan president's son and three grandchildren killed as "collateral damage." Global reaction was mounting to the point of outrage as it became clear that the U.S. - under the guise of NATO - violated international law by trying to murder a foreign leader. Obama, like his predecessors George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, was soon to be labeled a war criminal.
But then, just one day later, bin Laden was reported dead and Obama was hailed as a heroic "dragon slayer." Is it of any symbolic significance that this announcement came on May 1, the communist International Workers day?
At any rate, celebrations soon ensued outside the White House as the jubilant and gullible sang God Bless America and The Star Spangled Banner. While addressing the nation, Obama took credit for the operation, boasting, "I directed Leon Panetta, CIA director, to make the capture of Osama bin Laden our No. 1 priority. I authorized the operation to get bin Laden. It came at my direction.
Obama's popularity numbers will rise, and GOP criticism of him will be more difficult for a while.
However, the question arises: Why didn't Republican George W. Bush and his cronies pull off a similar ploy and stake their claim by killing bin Laden?
Those who believe that the world and American political affairs are actually far more stage-managed than meets the eye - that much of the partisan conflict we see is actually political theater - provide this answer:
If Bush had made good on his threat of getting bin Laden "dead or alive," he's have emerged victorious in his war on terror and Obama's selection as president would have been more difficult. The powers-that-be needed bush's tenure to end on a disastrous note so that the doors could be opened for Obama's "hope and change."
So, with Obama's favorability ratings tanking and a power struggle in Washington threatening to reveal many scandalous aspects of his past, the president's handlers countered by pulling the ultimate trump card - the head of bin Laden.
Of course, the neo-conservatives who manage U.S. foreign policy couldn't blow the whistle on this ruse because, after all, they were the first ones to use bin Laden as a patsy after their false-flag attacks on Sept. 11,2001.
In all, the rewards for Obama are obvious. Often criticized as being un-American and tepid on foreign affairs, he now boasted about "the greatness of our country" during his late-night address to the nation.
On a larger scale, even the military machine - mired in a disastrous Afghan war for nearly a decade - may emerge on a positive note.
Despite squandering over $400 billion battling Afghan tribes, Gen. David Petraeus is being hailed as a hero for commandeering the drone attacks on Pakistan. Moreover, the Department of Defense's message will clearly be: Our efforts weren't in vain, because we got bin Laden.
In the second line of Obama's May 1 address, the president reiterated that al Queda and bin Laden were responsible for 9-11 and only through "the tireless and heroic work of our military" was the U.S. able to combat global terrorism.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 200 Billionaires Paying No Taxes By James P. Tucker Jr. David Rockefeller and 200 of his billionaire buddies pay no income taxes. David - now 96 - does, however, get more than $200,000 a year from taxpayers as a small farmer. These billionaire tax dodgers - including Paul Mellon and Texas oilman Bunker Hunt - were exposed by The Washington Star, which folded on Aug. 7, 1981
Rich tax dodgers hire platoons of lawyers and accountants who specialize in evading the law. They create layers of trusts and closely held companies where no public reports are required. Inquiries by outsiders are rebuffed. But the rich boy's expenses for operating the trust can be awesome - traveling by private jet owned by the trust and living high.
The Rockefellers' tax dodging goes far back. When Judge Kenesaw Landis ordered Standard Oil broken up in 1911, John D. Rockefeller created new trusts and gave his stock to them.
"The net effect was the same as if you took your wallet out of your left pocket and placed it in your right pocket," said the Internet site wepin.com.
"In doing what he did, Rockefeller not only managed to avoid income taxes, he also escaped probate, estate and inheritance taxes; taxes that have ravaged the wealth of those no in the know about trusts."
Rockefeller is a luminary in secretive international organizations such as the Bilderberg group and the Trilateral Commission whose elitist members also duck taxes while trying to hike taxes for mere "citizens of the United States."
You have read much in AFP about huge corporations that pay petty or no taxes.
These include British Petroleum, no federal income tax in 2010; Exxon Mobil, no tax in 2009 despite a first-quarter profit of $10.7 billion (up 69 percent from the first-quarter profit of 2010); Royal Dutch Shell, a first-quarter of $6.3 billion (up 30 percent from 2010) and General Electric, major profits but no tax payment.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Pastor Burns The Koran But Ignores A Real Book of Hate - The Talmud By Dave Gahary Florida-based pastor Terry Jones is prepared to pay the price for what he believes in. It's a quest to educate the world about, in his words, "the radical element of Islam: Specifically, Jones is concerned with two aspects of Islam, jihad, the struggle to defend Islam, and sharia, its religious law.
During an exclusive 90-minute interview with American Free Press, Jones, who spent nearly 30 years as a missionary in Germany, made clear his views on Islam and why he and his supporters consider the religion to be a threat to the U.S. Constitution and the freedom Americans experience through that document.
Jones was straightforward: "We have lost quite a bit as far as our real freedom of speech here in America. It has been our experience that as long as you stay on the surface of our society, everything seems to be just fine. If you begin to rock the boat, if you begin to raise issues that are uncomfortable, that people do not want to see or recognize, you receive an enormous amount of pressure from either the government or from different agencies."
Jones operates through the Gainesville-based Dove World Outreach Center, which gained notoriety last year when the church had threatened to burn a Koran, Islam's holy book. The event was canceled after Jones received a personal call from Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.
"I only spent a few minutes with him on the phone," explained Jones. "It was a very good conversation. He was, of course, very cordial. He didn't really put any pressure on me. He just simply asked if I would reconsider the burning of the Koran."
On March 20, however, Dove World held an event called International Judge the Koran Day where the Koran was brought up on three charges during a mock trial. This time, Jones received no official pleas for moderation.
"We did not get any calls or any contact at all from the government," said Jones.
"We wanted to give the Muslim community a chance to answer our claims," said Jones, "so we decided to put the Koran on trial. It is still our belief that, if the Koran is strictly followed, it does or can lead to radical activities, to terrorist activities."
Through a traditional Western trial scenario with Judge, jury and attorneys, the Koran was accused of three charges: the training and promoting of terrorist activities around the world; the death, rape and torture of people worldwide whose only crime is not being of the Islamic faith; and crimes against women and Christians through promotion of prejudice against anyone who is not a Muslim.
"The Koran was found guilty on all three charges," said Jones. "We had four choices on our website: Burning, drowning, shedding and a firing squad. People were allowed to vote, and they chose burning. So, after the Koran was found guilty on those three charges, it was burned."
Video of the burning on the Internet created a firestorm across several Muslim countries. At least 20 people were reportedly killed as a result of Jone's action.
When you heard about this, asked AFP, what was your reaction?
"We were devastated. It's terrible anytime someone is killed, murdered or someone's life is cut short," explained Jones. "But we personally feel no responsibility."
Jones continued: "The people who did this and the countries who allow this because of their religious beliefs, lack of human rights, civil rights and proper laws should be held accountable. They should be forced to change their laws, or in our opinion, they should be removed from the UN."
Jones targeted Dearborn, Mich., as the site to raise awareness of the threat he perceives. AFP asked if he selected the town because it has a high population of Muslims.
"That would be the main reason," said Jones. "Their Islamic Center is the largest in America, so we felt it would be an appropriate place to raise awareness concerning jihad and sharia."
Events held on April 22 and 29 resulted in jail time for Jones. A judge ordered him to stay away from the Islamic Center of America for three years. Undeterred, Jones plans on returning to Dearborn.
One wonders, however, why Jones is not focusing on a real book of hate - the Jewish Talmud, which attacks Christianity, Jesus and his mother, Mary, in the most vile of ways.
Of course that would get him into some real trouble, so best to avoid it and keep on trying to convince people Islam is our real enemy, even though Talmud worshipers are far more powerful in the United States than those who believe in the Koran.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Political Correctness' Is A Conspiracy By the staff of American Free Press Bill Clinton, Al Gore, former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Microsoft's Bill Gates and Google founder Larry Page have
all spoken at TED gatherings. Although still relatively unknown except in rarified, elitist circles, TED - an acronym for Technology, Education, Design - is emerging as one of the globalist' most influential think tanks.
TED is the latest example of "cultural Marxism" - similar to the Fabian Society, the Frankfurt School and the Bauhaus Movement - whose agenda involves reshaping our culture through various forms of social engineering. It's called political correctness.
Reminiscent of past elites such as Cecil Rhodes of British Round Table fame and18th century Illuminati founder Adam Weishaupt, TED is an adjunct of the Sapling Foundation whose owner, Chris Anderson, wants in leverage "media, technology, market forces and the power of ideas to tackle tough global issues."
Richard Saul Wurman, an "information architect," created the notion of TED conferences. But when some of their speakers suggest the notion of population reduction, it's merely an updated version of past ideas promoted by Charles Darwin's inspiration, Thomas Malthus, and other population control thinkers.
Today, Wurman and TED use computers and cutting-edge gadgetry as ways of mapping a future that they deem best for society. Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Apple comprise an information conglomerate that is leading the masses toward what many believe to be their own demise.
To be sure, the information superhighway is useful and helpful in many ways, but while everyone is simultaneously ensnared in a modernistic World Wide Web, this far-reaching "net" is also creating a dehumanized society where people rarely have to leave their own self-created universe.
FABIAN SOCIETY
In1884, the London-based Fabian Society emerged as a group of intellectuals promoting the idea of utopian socialism. Founded by literary elitist George Bernard Shaw and economist Sidney Webb, their later devotees included science-fiction writer H.G. Wells, progressive educator John Dewey, Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter, the ACLU's Harold Laski and attorney Clarence Darrow, who sought to make the theory of evolution part of every school curriculum.Webb eventually launched the highly influential London School of Economics that, after receiving a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation, shaped monetary policy by promoting the government-intervention ideas of British economist John Maynard Keynes.
But the real crux of Fabianism may be found in the designs of Prof. Graham Wallas, who stated, "the Object of social psychology is to control human conduct."
In addition to laying the foundation for public opinion shapers such as Sigmund Freud's influential nephew Edward Bernays, author of the seminal book Propaganda, the Fabians also envisioned a reorganization of society through various legislative processes. By planting Fabian lawyers and Fabian judges throughout the U.S. court system, they could then use legal technicalities to further their aims while still superficially honoring the Constitution.
Moreover, government officials could appoint bureaucrats to lead America and Europe toward a communist-style goal of godless totalitarianism.
The Fabian intelligentsia believed that a "select class" could infiltrate universities and indoctrinate generations of students with anti-free enterprise, anti-private property ideas. Sidney Webb, similar to oil mogul John D. Rockefeller, supported protected business monopolies because, according to them, "Competition is a sin."
Of course, in their own minds, the Fabians thught they know what was best for the rest of society, or mere commoners. And, if the unwashed masses didn't appreciate their efforts, noted playwright Shaw offered this solution. "If it were discovered that you had not character and industry enough to be worth all this trouble," wrote Shaw, "you might possibly be executed in a kindly manner."
BAUHAUS MOVEMENT
During the 1920s, Weimar, Germany was infected with some of the world's most scandalous arts and entertainment. One of the more esoteric arms of this radical experimentation was the Bauhaus School.Founded by architect Walter Gropius, the Bauhaus movement's modernist aims were to create an entirely new guild of craftsmen that weren't separated by class distinctions. Another aspect of this cultural movement revolved around unifying the arts, technology and a form of minimalist futurism.
Elitist in nature despite their pleas for equality, Bauhaus architects defined their utopia as "buildings of the future." To achieve this end, they turned to cold and ugly machinery, steel framed high-rises, glass and concrete as the epitome of beauty. Our cities testify to their influence.
Critics, though, decried the sameness and monotonous qualities of their structures, comparing them to a type of architectural Muzak. As urban dwellings became an emerging phenomenon, Bauhaus depersonalized city life as cacophonies of noise trapped inside metropolitan canyons. Rather than the bucolic peacefulness of their agrarian forefathers, humans were now submerged in technological maelstroms of honking car horns, police sirens, smog and traffic jams - all the while being surrounded and subsumed by an architecture that conveyed tedium and a pervasive lack of emotion.
THE FRANKFURT SCHOOL
After murdering 25 million Russians in order to establish communism, the Bolsheviks knew that they couldn't achieve their goal of world conquest with such brutal methods. So, in 1923 Italian Marxist Antonio Gramsci and partner Gyorgy Lukacs, the top communist theoreticians since Marx and Lenin, founded the Institute of social Research, later to be known as the Frankfurt School. These men devised a strategy based on psychological warfare in order to conquer the West and subvert it perception of reality so that communism was not seen as the enemy.Later, Theodore Adorno wrote a book called The Authoritarian Personality that became the basis of this subversive movement. By incorporating Freudian psychoanalysis into Marxism, they established a premise that white men were rooted in evil because they suffered from a mental illness called "authoritarian personality" that caused them to "oppress" and "victimize" others. They argued that Western culture was a product of that illness and had to be destroyed in this light, Marxist intellectual Lukacs asked, "Who will save us from Western civilization?"
After Adolf Hitler took power in Germany, the Frankfurt School was driven out and forced to relocate to Columbia University in New York. Although most people have never heard of these individuals, they've been the chief architects of America's cultural demise from World War II to today. These societal engineers were instrumental in distorting our perception of art, which they designed to alienate people from the civilization surrounding them.
Lukacs linked art with social struggle, feeling it should be ugly in order to reflect the "repression" and "alienation" in Western culture. This concept was also applied to architecture, music and literature.
In fact, the entire 1960s Cultural Revolution - falsely attributed to the baby boom phenomenon - was actually the fruit of the Frankfurt School's labors. The civil rights movement, feminism, beatniks, the beatles and hippies were all the fruit of their subversive ideas. The goal was to undermine the authority of men of European extraction so that they could steal it from them. Blacks, women and children all were pitted against white males (and in some cases against each other), while religion was ridiculed and genuine patriotism lost its luster.
Today, Frankfurt School ideology has morphed into political correctness that uses so-called "hate speech" laws to render patriots powerless to speak out against multiculturalism, homosexual marriage, illegal immigration, affirmative action and any other assault on civilization.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 World's Billionaires Want To Be Our Social Engineers By Keith Hansen Its name is TED. It's here to help us. TED is actually an acronym for Technology, Education, Design - the three original sectors of global enterprise from which certain "thought leaders" emerged to share their visions for a better world. But some people contend TED is the modern equivalent of the Frankfurt School and the Bauhaus Movement, which seek to destroy traditional Western culture.
TED was born out of collaborations between Richard Saul Wurman, an architect and graphic designer credited with coining the term"architect engineer," and Harry Marks, a pioneer in broadcast design and computer-generated imagery.
In 1984, Wurman and Marks first hosted a conference to exchange ideas in the aforementioned areas. Their stated mission, in part, was to spread ideas in the belief that the power of ideas can "change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world." Their goal was to build "a clearinghouse that offers free knowledge and inspiration from the world's most inspired thinkers, and also a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other."
TED's intelligence, as Bill Gates gushed about the cumulative IQ of its conferences' attendees, "is incredible," he said. However, in a February 2010 TED presentation, Gates Advocated his misanthropic support of depopulation by suggesting that vaccines could be used to reduce world population figures.
TED also smacks of elitism, with a standard annual membership fee of $7,500, while the highest-priced membership is $125,000.
TED also broaches the issue of socialist control over government, which is looming ever larger in the United States. Do we really want billionaires, who were never elected to public office, dictating policy to our government and governments across the globe?
It's a question that shouldn't be brushed aside, especially after last year's unveiling of the Giving Pledge initiative that challenges billionaires to donate most of their money to philanthropic causes. How did that work out? According to the Giving Pledge's official website, 50 billionaires have signed on to support the pledge to give the majority of their wealth to charity.
So far, there is no clear indication any of them has actually done it.
These self-congratulatory elites have a messianic view, as if their very thoughts have god-like qualities and paint a flawless path to the future.
History is littered with utopian plans that wrought hardship, misery, decline and destruction. TED likely is the current manifestation of such a "best-laid plan." So watch out for TED: it's well-funded and active.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Weather Manipulation No Longer a Wild Conspiracy Theory' In any discussion of weather control, a working definition is necessary. According to Wikipedia, the on-line encyclopedia: "Weather control is the act of manipulating or altering certain aspects of the environment to produce desirable changes in weather. Weather control can have the goal of preventing damaging weather, such as hurricanes or tornadoes, from occurring; of causing beneficial weather, such as rainfall in an area experiencing drought; or of provoking damaging weather against an enemy or rival, as a tactic of military or economic warfare. Weather modification in warfare has been banned by the United Nations."
Note that this definition is an admission that weather control exists for both good and bad applications. And recently many states were hit by deadly tornadoes, while earthquakes have been ravaging the globe.
Their damage is similar to that wrought by Hurricane Fran in September 1996 when this writer lived in Raleigh, N.S. Pine trees crushed houses, utilities were out for over a week, and the National Guard was mobilized and patrolled the neighborhoods to prevent looting. It was a tense time, but most people worked together.
Meanwhile, Wikipedia reports: "In January 2011 several newspapers and magazines, including the UK's Sunday Times and Arabian Business, reported that scientists backed by the government of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates had created over 50 artificial rainstorms between July and August 2010."
The report added, "The Artificial rainstorms were said to have sometimes caused hail, gales and thunderstorms, baffling local residents. The scientists reportedly used ionizers to create the rainstorms, and although the results are disputed, the large number of times it is recorded to have rained right after the ionizers were switched on during a usually dry season is encouraging to those who support the experiment."
Cloud seeding is the decades-old technique whereby small particles such as silver iodide are sprayed to trigger cloud formation. It works only when water vapor is present in the air. Countries using this technique include the U.S., China, India and Russia.
Enter HAARP, the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program facility located in the remote Gakona region of Alaska and associated with the University of Alaska, the Office of Naval Research and the Air force Research laboratory, among numerous other parties.
HAARP's stated main goal is "basic science research of the uppermost portion of the atmosphere, known as the ionosphere where the atmosphere is thin enough that the Sun's X-rays and UV rays can reach it, but think enough that there are still enough molecules to absorb those rays. The profile of the ionosphere is highly variable, showing minute-to-minute changes, seasonal changes, and year-to-year changes."
The Rev. Joseph L. Iannuzzi points out in his book Anti-Christ and the End Times: "Put simply, the apparatus for HAARP is the test run whose purpose is to emit an ultrahigh frequency radio wave that lifts areas of the ionosphere by focusing a beam that discharges heat in a given area. The electromagnetic waves may then bounce back to Earth and penetrate every object of the planet, living and non-living. By this means it is able to locate and possibly influence all creatures great and small. The extra-low frequency or ELF antennae may already be used to create a global shield of heat (hot spots), which is required in the control of local weather."
The author adds, "HAARP media publicity informs the working citizen that the HAARP program mainly is an academic project with the goal of changing the ionosphere to improve communications. It argues that it is a good idea to all who believe in sound national defense and to those concerned about cost-cutting."
Arco Power Technologies Incorporated (APTI), a subsidiary of Atlantic Richfield company and one of the world's biggest oil companies, built the HAARP facility. Arco sold this subsidiary, the patents and the second-phase construction contract to E-Systems in June 1994. E-Systems, one of the biggest intelligence contractors in the world, assists the CIA in defense intelligence matters and other projects.
HAARP uses 72-foot-tall ELF antennae, 360 of which are spread out over four acres and enclosed with barbwire fencing.
Weather modification is not a figment of the overactive imaginations of conspiracy theorists.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Disappearance of Honey Bees Tied to GMOs? By Keith Johnson While endless wars, rising fuel prices and government shutdowns weigh heavily on the minds of most concerned Americans, another serious crisis looms just over the horizon, though few are giving it the attention it deserves. That is the potential for a total collapse of honeybee hives around the country.
Today, that eventuality is at our doorstep. In the United States alone, nearly 30 billion bees have been lost over the last 20 years - and since 2004 - drastic population drops have left North America with fewer honeybee colonies than at any time within the last five decades.
Honeybees are essential to the pollination of more than 100 varieties of fruits, nuts, trees and vegetables. According to a Cornell University study, honeybee pollination contributes $14.6 billion to the value of U.S. agricultural products. Without them, most crops would fail to yield anything, while those that did would be of such inferior quality as to render them inedible. While over-industrialization has certainly played a role in the precipitous decline of bee populations, it's far less significant than a mysterious new epidemic that scientists refer to as Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD). This strange illness attacks the physiological motor functions that are critical to a bee's navigation, orientation and feeding behavior.
So far, scientists have been unable to isolate the specific cause of CCD - but, according to a March 2011 report by the UN's Environmental Program (UNEP), several contributing factors are to blame. Chief among them are habitat deterioration, pathogens, invasive species, air pollution and malnutrition. The report also lists insecticides, but downplays their significance by concluding, "Results obtained in laboratory conditions are hard to compare to field conditions."
Conspicuously missing from UNEP's report is the impact of genetically modified organisms (GMO), which is hardly surprising when you consider that the United Nations has been one of the bio-tech industry's leading advocates, complicit in the spread of GMOs to poorer nations. It's all part and parcel of their Agenda 21 sustainability project, with they now commonly refer to as Smart Growth.
On April 15, this writer corresponded by email with Jeffrey M. Smith, a leading researcher on the dangers of GMO and author of the books Seeds of Destruction and Genetic Roulette. AFP asked Smith to provide insights concerning how industrialization and Big Agra may or may not have contributed to the demise of the honeybee population.
Smith responded, "There is quite a bit of evidence implicationg neonicotinoid insecticides in Colony Collapse Disorder. These nicotine-based pesticides can cause bees to forget how to get back to their hives - hence, the empty hives of CCD."
Smith continued, "These insecticides are used to treat seeds and are time-released into plants over the early stages of the plant's growth. The toxin is found in liquid secreted from within the plant to droplets on the outside in the morning. Bees drink from these droplets, and thus ingest the disorienting insecticide."
In conclusion, Smith wrote, "If GMOs do in fact compromise the bees' defenses, we should see a greater rate of colony collapse disorder in the U.S. compared to those nations where little or no GMOs are planted. That is precisely the case."

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Gene Tinkerers' Have Unleashed Deadly New GMO-Linked Pathogen By Tom Valentine Genetic tinkering, a disturbing part of the socialist duopoly of of big business and big government, is being exposed more all the time. Excerpts from the following revealing letter to U.S. Agriculture secretary Tom Vilsack, from Prof. Emeritus Don Ml Huber, a senior agriculture scientist at Purdue University, was first published before federal authorities gave the green light to unleash genetically modified (GM) alfalfa in February of 2011.
AFP has edited the letter for length.
***** "Dear Secretary Vilsack:
"A team of senior plant and animal scientists have recently brought to my attention the discovery of a pathogen that appears to significantly impact the health of plants, animals and probably human beings. It is widespread, very serious and is in much higher concentrations in roundup Ready(RR) soybeans and corn - suggesting a link with the RR gene or more likely the presence of Roundup. This organism appears new to science. This is highly sensitive information that could result in a collapse of U.S. soy and corn export markets and significant disruption of domestic food and feed supplies.
"My colleagues and I are therefore moving our investigation forward and seek assistance from the USDA and other entities to identify the pathogen's source, prevalence, implications and remedies. We are informing the USDA of our findings at this early stage, specifically due to your pending decision regarding approval of RR alfalfa. Naturally, if either the RR gene or roundup itself is a promoter or co-factor of this pathogen, then such approval could be a calamity.
"For the past 40 years, I have been a scientist in the professional and military agencies that evaluate and prepare for natural and manmade biological threats. I believe the threat we are facing from this pathogen is unique and of a high risk status. It should be treated as an emergency.
"This previously unknown organism is only visible under an electron microscope. It is able to reproduce and appears to be a micro-fungal-like organism. If so, it would be the first such micro-fungus ever identified. There is strong evidence that this infectious agent promotes diseases of both plants and mammals, which is very rare. This pathogen is found in high concentrations in roundup Ready soybean meal and corn, distillers meal, fermentation feed products, pug stomach contents, and pig and cattle placentas.
"The organism is prolific in plants infected with two pervasive diseases that are driving down yields and farmer income: Sudden death syndrome in soy, and Goss's wilt in corn.
"Laboratory tests have confirmed the presence of this organism in a wide variety of livestock that have experienced spontaneous abortions and infertility.
This matter deserves immediate attention to avoid a general collapse of our critical agricultural infrastructure."
**** The letter, first published on the web publication Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance suggests that the USDA tends to protect a biotech lobby that is risking the fragile fabric of our lives in the agricultural realm.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Peanut Allergy Epidemic Tied to Vaccinations By Dave Gahary When Heather Fraser's one-year-old son Woody took one bite of his peanut buttered toast, he immediately turned red and developed hives. Rushed to the emergency room, he was diagnosed with peanut allergy, sent home, and ordered to steer clear from even the odor of peanuts.
The event scared the wits out of his mom who utilized her research skills to uncover what happened to her son and how she
could protect him in the future. The result of her effort is the first historical account of the rise of peanut allergy in Western society, The Peanut Allergy Epidemic: What's Causing It and How to Stop It.
Amazingly, she found that peanut allergy only affected Children in Western countries, and that there was a sudden acceleration of the allergy around 1990.
Nearly 1.5 percent of all U.S. school-age children are afflicted by peanut allergy, and that number is rising. In just the last 10 years, the number of peanut-allergic children in the United States has tripled.
The connection between peanuts and allergy, Ms. Fraser discovered, has its roots in a procedure developed by a U.S. Army doctor after World War II that was designed to allow for better absorption of vaccines into the bloodstream.
The Problem with using peanut oil in vaccines was that the peanut has proteins that are hard to break down, even when refined. Proteins cause allergic reactions if they bypass digestive enzymes by being injected directly into the bloodstream by a hypodermic syringe. In other words, the body was treating the peanut oil in the vaccine as a disease itself.
But why did so many young children develop peanut allergy beginning around 1990 even though peanut allergies were being noticed as early as 1970? That's when the George H.S. Bush administration began ramping up the childhood vaccination schedule to ensure that at least 90 percent of preschoolers were inoculated (compared with less than 30 percent in 1986).
Fraser exposes why no large-scale population studies of vaccinated versus unvaccinated segments of the population have ever been done and why the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is most interested in protecting the vaccine makers, not the parents. She shows how vaccine makers and lobbyists for Big Pharma have triumphed over millions of parents and children across this country by keeping the truth about peanut allergies under wraps.
This writer also had the opportunity to conduct a nearly one-hour audio interview with Ms. Fraser, available on CD,* which allows the listener to hear all these startling discoveries right from the author's mouth.
As is often the case, knowledge is the first line of defense.
Dave Gahery's interview with Heather Fraser, author of The Peanut "Allergy Epidemic, is available from AFP for $15 plus $3 S&H. Interview is 55 minutes in length. Order from AFP at First Amendment Books, 645 Pennsylvania Avenue SE, #100, Washington D.C. 20003 or call AFP toll free at 1-888-699-NEWS to charge to a major credit card.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 How To Quiet A Restless Mind By Christopher J. Petherick Today, there's one more certainty to life beyond just death and taxes, and that is stress. Whether you are running a large
corporation or chasing after a rambunctious four-year-old all day, stress can lead to debilitating health problems if left unchecked.
More and more Americans are popping pills to manage their stressful lives. This translates into big business for pharmaceutical companies, which pull in $21 billion a year selling medications to 30 million to 40 million Americans seeking relief from everything from insomnia to anxiety to depression. Of course, not all of these particular ailments are directly due to stress, and many people need allopathic medications for medical reasons. Whether a person has a serious medical disorder or not, everyone could benefit from simple and free techniques that help quiet the mind even during some of the most stressful times.
How many of us end our days with our necks and shoulders arching after walking around for hours with our muscles unconsciously clinched? Do you wake up in the middle of the night thinking of what you have to do tomorrow and what you forgot to do yesterday? Ever find yourself popping Tylenol or aspirin because you have a splitting tension headache? Hor many men and women, who keep their stress bottled up in their stomachs, serious bowel disorders, such as colitis and irritable bowel syndrome, can develop rapidly.
With the world in turmoil, it's important for a person to take time out of every day to stop, clear his mind of negative thoughts and quiet the brain.
One of the best techniques, and one that has been growing in popularity, is known simply as "body scanning." This is something that can be practiced every day for as long as an individual has time - from just a few minutes to an hour or even more.
The technique is simple and can be done anywhere a person can find a quiet space. It basically involves finding a quiet space in your home or office to focus on individual parts of your body as a way to retrain your mind on the here and now.
What's the point of all of this? For most of us, it's impossible to get our brains to stop dwelling on the past or the future for even a moment. We've spent years teaching our minds to continuously balance budgets, track schedules and parse information. This strange exercise is intended to teach our brains to focus on something - anything - right now, so that we can tune out what we have to do later today or tomorrow or what we forgot to do earlier today.
The most important thing to know is that there are no expectations here, and don't worry about doing the body scan right. The point is just to do it. Eventually, you should be able to discipline your mind to relax and tune out the chaos of the outside world. And the best part about this is that you can do it all without having to pop a pill or pay thousands of dollars to a doctor, who really has no idea how to make you feel more rested and relaxed.
THE SIMPLE ART OF MENTAL RELAXATION
A basic body scan can be done at any time of the day. However, it is especially effective in the evening or shortly before bed in order to quiet the mind and get the body prepared for a restful sleep.
Start out by dimming the lights if possible. If you can, wear comfortable clothes and take off your shoes, but this is not absolutely necessary if you're at work or in a park. Shut of the television, radio telephone and cell phone. You can set a 10-minute alarm, but keep the volume turned down. You don't need to give yourself a heart attack while trying to relax your neck, shoulders, arms and legs.
For a few minutes, focus on breathing. Start by breathing in for six or seven seconds or whatever is comfortable for you. Hold it for two or three seconds, then breathe out slowly for sex or seven seconds. Do this a few times to relax and feel the tension slip away. Here's where the body scan comes in: While breathing slowly, focus your attention to your left foot. If you're wearing shoes still, can you feel the shoe around your foot? Keep your mind on your foot for a short time. Now switch your focus to your right foot. Keep your mind on that foot for a short time. Slowly move your focus up your legs and then throughout your body, paying careful attention to each part of your body. Pay attention to details as you move your mind around body. Can you feel the backs of your thighs on your chair? While on your forearms, could you feel a slight breeze on your arm hairs?
Throughout the exercise, your mind will want to wander back to everything you need to do in life. This may happen a hundred times as you move around your body. It doesn't matter so long as you bring your mind back to the moment and refocus on your body. When your scan is over, slowly open your eyes and start to move. Don't get up too quickly. Just take some time to relax further before you jump back into your busy schedule.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Treating Manic Depression' Naturally Mainstream drugs used to treat ambiguous bipolar disorder' have host of side effects including depression. By Mark Anderson What once was called manic depression is now called "bipolar disorder," which is believed to be a brain condition. But what the big media ritually neglects to mention is that psychiatry, with its failure to diagnose mental health problems with valid scientific data - based on objective criteria - may just be a pseudoscience.
The bible of the mental health profession, The diagnostic and Statistical Manual, is really just a list of names applied to different behaviors, which helps pinpoint which pharmaceutical drug to assign to a given behavior; i.e., drugging you for the rest off your life.
Anti-depressant drugs ostensibly designed to treat depression have side effects that include depression itself - an inherent contradiction that cannot be shrugged off just because some people may not experience that particular side effect. Most of these medications list 10 or more side effects - including "thoughts of suicide" and other scary possibilities.
And since herbs like St. John's wort, Ginkgo Biloba, Rhodiola rosea, omega-3 oils like drill oil, improved diet, better sleep, supplements like 5-HTP to raise serotonin levels and improve one's mood a better spiritual life and many other option are available at little cost, for most people there is no compelling reason to take addictive anti-depressants and risk these side effects.
The National Institute of Mental Health broadly describes bipolar disorder as extreme mood swings, switching from extreme happiness, excitability and a feeling of invincibility to severe depression with feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness. However, the NIMH's guarded statements hide the lack of substance in its bipolar claims, such as": "Bipolar disorder cannot currently be identified through a blood test or a brain scan, but these tests can help rule out other contributing factors, such as a stroke or brain tumor."
However, ChronicIllnessCures.com notes the following: "There is no magic bipolar test to check for bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder is not a single disease or disorder, but it's a blanket term to cover an entire category of mood disorders. A diagnosis of bipolar disorder is typically based on the patient's own subjective assessment of his behavior or reports from family, friends or peers. These are then paired with the signs observed by medical professionals. To be diagnosed, an individual must meet a certain list of requirements. Though a medical professional may administer a psychological bipolar test - weighing the patient's symptoms against various criteria for diagnosing the disease - there is no single test that can nail an accurate analysis. There is also no biological test for determining whether a patient has the disorder."
So before running to the pharmacy for a prescription drug to treat depression, consider talking to a professional about natural ways to combat mood swings.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 Tornado Preparedness Advice By Mark Anderson In the wake of the deadly tornadoes that just swept through the southern United States, Killing
hundreds of people, preparedness should be a No. 1 priority.
First of all, know what to look for: Tornado signs include dark, often greenish clouds, a phenomenon caused by hail. The hail is typically large.
The formation of tornadoes usually includes a "wall cloud" - an isolated lowering of the base of a thunderstorm. Of course, the funnel cloud - a visible, rotating extension of the cloud base - signals that a tornado is forming. Tornadoes make a roaring noise, like that of an oncoming train.
Regarding tornadoes and other severe weather, the American Red Cross (ARC) advises the following:
"As a matter of common sense, always have plenty of batteries on hand and a battery-powered radio. A radio that charges via a hand crank is a great way to ensure that you can get information even when the power is out and you can't find any batteries. At the first visible sign or news reports of potential severe weather, gather information and react accordingly. Give yourself time to respond properly.
"Practicing periodic tornado drills is a good idea, especially for those living in areas prone to tornadoes and other severe storms.
"Identify a safe room or make one in your residence. This can be a basement, crawl space or the safest internal room. Talk to a local builder you can trust or county officials to find out what needs to be done to reinforce your safe room.
"Prepare for high winds by removing damaged and diseased limbs from nearby trees. Move and properly store other objects - lawn furniture, garden tools and anything else that could become a projectile.
"Mobile homes are not safe and should be vacated," says the ARC. "Go to the nearest sturdy building or shelter immediately."
HAVE YOUR GO KIT' READY
Have a "go kit" or "bugout bag" ready to grab in case of severe weather and other threats. This should include a first-aid kit, flashlight and batteries, working radios, identification, matches, candles, cell phone chargers, copies of important financial documents, an extra set of clothes, bottled water, blankets and enough food for several days. This can be in the form of snacks and nutrition bars, unless you have time to prepare a cooler with ice, bread, sandwich meat, cheese, fresh fruit and vegetables (apples, oranges, celery, carrots and the like).
A relative outside your community should serve as an emergency contact so family members caught by the storm in different locations can call in their status to that relative. It's best to have your contact in a more distant community unaffected by the storm.
If you are caught driving, "buckle your seatbelt and try to drive at right angles to the storm movement and out of the path," the ARC advises. If you are on foot, as a last resort, lie in a ditch or depression face down and cover your head with your hands. Or if driving and you have to stop the car, keep your seat belt on and your engine running when you pull over. Put your head down below the level of the windows and cover your head with your hands, or with a blanket if possible, the ARC suggests.

American Free Press May 9&16, 2011 New Study Shows Low Radon Levels Can Help Immunity By Jack Phillips After completing the most intensive and expensive ecological study ever conducted, Dr. Bernard Cohen, professor emeritus of the University of Pittsburgh and a respected physicist, shut off the $1,200 radon reduction system in his home to save electricity. He did this because he had proved that increasing amounts of radiation from radon were associated with decreasing lung cancer death rates.
Cohen found that deaths from this disease decreased from about 72 per year per 10,000 men when exposure to radon was close to zero picocuries per liter of air to about 42 per year when exposure was about 6 picocuries per liter.
Cohen spent a lot of time attempting to make the data he had collected from homes in1,729 counties, a sampling of 90 percent of the United States, fit the so-called Linear No Threshold (LNT) theory, which provides the basis for the country's radon laws, because the objective of his study was to validate it. But no matter what sophisticated correction he attempted the data refused to support the theory. It should be noted that this theory was controversial from the time it was promulgated by the National Academy of Sciences.
After WWII information on the effects of exposure to high levels of radiation was collected and correlated. The result was a chart that showed a linear correlation between the incidence of cancer and exposure to ionizing radiation over a wide range of exposures. Unfortunately there was little or no data available at very low rates of exposure. A committee was formed by the National Academy of Sciences to decide what to do about the missing information. It was reported that dr. Linus Pauling proposed the assumption that no effect should be expected from the absence of radiation and that, therefore, it was reasonable to extend the existing linear relationship between radiation exposure and cancer rates to zero. Some scientists at that meeting are reported to have objected to Pauling's hypothesis, but it was adopted anyway. With the cachet of the National Academy of Sciences, LNT became dogma.
Despite the inability of a multi-year, multimillion-dollar study to prove the LNT theory, the National Academy of Sciences still clings to its original position. It is still dogma that there is no lower limit to the cancer-causing effects of ionizing radiation.
Meanwhile Americans are paying for electricity to remove a gas from their basements whose radiation could help protect them against cancer.
This is a case of politically modified science. The suppression of science is a profitable, multifaceted business.

American Free Press May 23, 2011 Bilderbergers Dangerous By Mark Anderson An influential legislator from Switzerland's largest political party has issued a strongly worded letter to the head of the Swiss Federal Department of Justice and Police, saying that the globalist Bilderberg group's planned meeting in Switzerland June 9-12 threatens the nation's deep-seated traditions of populist rule and neutrality as well as bringing many disreputable participants, some of whom are accused war criminals, to the traditionally neutral country.
The legislator, Dominique Baettig of the Swiss People's Party (SVP), was interviewed by this AFP writer last December and soon made headlines when he called for George W. Bush's arrest for war crimes if he ever set foot in Switzerland. Bush canceled a Feb. 12 visit to Geneva.
Regarding Bilderberg's pending visit, Baettig informed top cop Mrs. Simonetta Sommaruga: "I wish to draw your attention to . . . the discreet but influential Bilderberg group meeting in a hotel in St. Moritz, June 9-12."
The group is a "global elite of bankers, industrialists, diplomats, U.S. and European NATO brass, crowned heads, media groups, their moguls and editors, as well as heads of state, whether retired or not, which coordinates, exchanges, organizes and structures, out of all democratic control, the major guidelines toward economic globalization."
To convey the danger of Bilderberg's influence, his letter adds, "Independence, private property and the private sphere are reduced by the usage of electronic virtual money and by . . . the control of all individuals in a biometric global gulag. . . . Higher debts of the world's countries are encouraged . . . and they become the debtors of supranational private banks.
"Military and police tasks are privatized and military actions to dismantle independent states are planned and coordinated (Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Libya; tomorrow Iran and Syria). The worst being the fact that they prepare the programmed end of traditional democracy, with a power shift from all states to the benefit of non-elected governance entities. . . ."
His letter also notes that this "discreet group develops an ultra-liberal, free-trade society model, with a . . . world currency and the IMF as treasurer."
Baettig noted that he's especially troubled after "consulting the Bilderberg participants lists of recent years" and seeing "the undesirable presence" in Switzerland of certain "personalities" including Henry Kissinger, Dick Cheney and others implicated in war crimes, torture and those "who are under investigation by the courts in The Hague, etc."
Baettig asks Mrs. Sommaruga: "Are your services informed of the participants' identities? As NATO is actually engaged in war actions (Libya, Afghanistan, targeted assassinations), the participation of NATO brass . . . does represent a major risk of a terrorist action in St. Moritz and, therefore, a serious danger for its inhabitants and neighbors. Not mentioning the . . .image loss for a sovereign and democratic nation which stands for an armed and integral neutrality. . . ."
He added that if "politicians, businessmen and media group owners sharing globalist motivations represents crimes against the state,' then that could undermine Swiss independence with diplomatic treason.'"

American Free Press May 23, 2011 U.S. Contradictory on Bin Laden; Spinmeisters Do Damage Control By Victor Thorn If authentic, the killing of Osama bin Laden would stand as a monumental achievement for the Obama presidency. But in actuality, this staged event more closely resembles the propaganda campaigns surrounding U.S. soldiers Jessica Lynch and Pat Tillman. Unforgivably, both of these individuals were used for propaganda purposes by the Bush administration
to create feel-good moments of patriotism.Yet again, Barack Obama is reading from the Bush-Cheney play book in regard to chicanery. According to the original story told by Deputy National Security Advisor John Brennan, two dozen elite Navy Sealswith shoot-to-kill ordersstormed bin Laden's home in Abbottabad and engaged in a chaotic fire-fight that lasted 20 minutes.
Once the gunmen reached the third floor, Brennan claimed, they encountered an armed bin Laden hiding behind a female human shield, presumed to be his wife. "He was firing behind her," Brennan stated.
Brennan, who claimed to have watched the entire episode live, in real-time transmitted via helmet mini cameras, boasted, "He, bin Laden, was engaged in a fire-fight with those that entered the area . . . bin Laden went down firing at the Navy Seals."
Yet, by the next day, White House officials backtracked, admitting that bin Laden, or the man they are calling bin Laden, had not been armed and no wife or any other woman was used as a human shield.
Still, White House spokesman Jay Carney insisted bin Laden "resisted arrest without a weapon."
Supposedly frail and sickened by kidney failure, how could a 53-year-old man resist 24 of the best trained Seals in the U.S. Navy?
Of all the countless media reports and tours of "bin Laden's home," why didn't any of them mention a dialysis machine on the premises?
Allegedly, bin Ladenportrayed as the world's most dangerous terroristwas the last person encountered inside the compound. He'd conceivably heard helicopters, explosions, gunfire and screams, yet didn't pick up a gun to defend himself?
Another added element of strangeness involves the Obama administration's refusal to identify precisely whom the Seals battled for 20 minutes in the intense fire-fight, especially since they admitted no guards stood outside the mansion.
It's now been proven that Brennan lied about bin Laden going down in a blaze of glory. Either a 20-minute gun battle ensued, or it didn't. Plus, it's also been established that only one man present at the compound, a courier, carried a weapon, and he was immediately shot.During a May 2 speech, Obama asserted that bin Laden had been "captured, then killed." However, if bin Laden had been in U.S. custody, what did he say, if anything?
He had been, after all, America's premier bogeyman for nearly a decade. To cover this quandary, CIA Director Leon Panetta contradicted Obama by saying that bin Laden had been killed instantly.
To further increase the dramatics of this event, the White House released an iconic photograph of Obama's entire Cabinet purportedly watching the fire-fight unfold. So there is no mistake, Seattle's King 5 TV described the scene: "Faces of the president's Cabinet members showed intense anxiety and shock as they kept close watch over the fire-fight in Pakistan that led to Osama bin Laden's death."
Initially, reports actually had Obama seeing bin Laden being shot through the eye. For her part, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is seen with a hand held over her mouth, gulping with apparent panic at what she's seeing. Clinton noted, "Those were 38 of the most intense minutes."
But Panetta yet again revealed the truth about what transpired. "There was a 25 minute blackout during which the live feed from the camera mounted on the helmets of the U.S. Special Forces was cut off."
Did White House officials stage the entire photo-op? Did all those in attendance stare at a blank screen while making it appear they were witnessing an actual assassination? Afterward, Mrs. Clinton blamed her melodramatic reaction on a "spring allergic cough."
As AFP chronicled in the May 9 and 16 edition, there is a plethora of evidence indicating that bin Laden died some 10 years ago, and that the operation on May 1 was merely an attempt to revive a failing presidency.
Or, as antiwar protester Cindy Sheehan so adroitly emphasized, "I am sorry, but if you believe the newest death of bin Laden, you're stupid. Just think for yourself . . . this lying, murderous empire can only exist with your brainwashed consentput your flags away and think."

American Free Press May 23, 2011 Do Experiments Deep in Swiss Alps Present a Threat to Future of Earth? By Keith Johnson In recent years, scientists around the world have been initiating costly projects to study the very fabric that holds the universe together. The question remains, however: By playing God, are these men and women in white lab coats furthering man's knowledge of the world around us, or are they bringing us ever closer to global disaster?
At a cost of nearly $10 billion, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Geneva, Switzerland is the most ambitious scientific
undertaking in human history. Located 570 feet beneath the Alpine foothills on the French-Swiss border, this circular 17-mile particle accelerator has been smashing subatomic particles together at great speed in an attempt to recreate conditions that occurred when the universe began, according to the outlook of conventional science.
The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) insists its projects are intended to revolutionize "our understanding, from the minuscule world deep within atoms to the vastness of the universe."
Others question what toll these experiments might wreak upon humanity in pursuit of scientific largess. Doomsayers maintain that the LHC may create black holes, vacuum bubbles or even destroy the Earth due to its extreme capabilities.
Even more intriguing, a controversial rumor began circulating in late April suggesting that physicists working on the ATLAS project at CERN laboratories may have discovered the elusive "God particle."
This announcement initially provoked equal amounts of optimism and skepticism from within the scientific community. However, with each passing day, there are indications this may very well be another false alarm.
More appropriately referred to as Higgs boson, this hypothetical particle is thought to be a significant part of the cohesive force that holds the universe together, giving other particles their mass. Such a discovery could help correct certain flaws in the standard model that physicists currently use to describe the laws of nature.
Some scientists believe that if the Higgs boson particle does exist, it could explain why protons and electrons behave as they do, giving researchers access to a whole new landscape of physics.
However, a spokesperson for the ATLAS project, Fabiola Gianotti, takes these assertions with a grain of salt because the findings have not yet been peer-reviewed. Casting even more doubt, Syed Afsar Abbas, a professor of physics at India's Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), told the Indo-Asian News Service that he dismissed these reports.
"The Higgs mechanism does not exist as a physical particle," Abbas said. "My idea is well-known to particle physicists. But they tend to play down its importance as they have been spending billions of dollars of public money to look for this non-existent Higgs particle."
Still, many in the lay community fear some type of apocalyptic situation associated with the LHC. To allay their fears, a group of scientists, scholars and students have created a non-profit organization intent on using legal action to prevent further operation of this high-energy particle accelerator.
As part of their mission statement, Citizens Against the Large Hadron Collider proclaim: "Some experts fear that the risk of operating the LHC disproportionately outweighs anything science might gain from this experiment. It is not possible to know what the outcome of the experiment will be, but even CERN scientists concede that there is a real possibility of creating destructive theoretical anomalies such as miniature black holes . . . and space transitions. These events have the potential to fundamentally alter matter and destroy our planet."

American Free Press May 23, 2011 Obama Remains Bilderberg Pawn In Global Petroleum Chess Match By James P. Tucker Jr. President Obama, acting as the Bilderberg group's lackey, is lying when he says he wants to punish oil companies and develop new resources. In reality, Obama will, as Bilderberg has ordered, work to keep the costs of gasoline high and maintain if not increase America's phoney dependency on imported oil.
Bilderberg participants "are a pack of liars, and they will continue to lie through and beyond St. Moritz," said an insider,
referring to the annual Bilderberg group meeting scheduled in Switzerland June 9-12. "You must get the truth out and keep them backing up."
Increasing public awareness of the evil of Bilderberg has proven a huge barrier to their goals, the insider said.
"These tax giveaways aren't right," Obama said in his weekly radio address, referring to the annual $4 billion in tax breaks for the oil and gas industry. He knows this will not pass because Big Oil owns too many congressmen from both parties. But saying so is good politics.
"An investment in clean energy today is an investment in a better tomorrow," Obama said. "And I think that's an investment worth making."
But Obama knows this means a tax increase, which Congress will reject.
Obama calls for developing domestic resources but refuses to allow this to happen, so the Bilderberg plan to keep America dependent on imports, drive gasoline to $7 a gallon and keep the recession alive through the year 2012 can continue to thrive.
Obama and various well-funded environmental groups object to exploiting the huge oil reserves in the Arctic on grounds of ecology. Oil reserves in the Arctic alone are enough to supply America's needs for as much as two centuries, experts have said.
New technology allows oil to be drilled with little impact on the environment. One approach drills down deeply, then horizontally, to reach oil. All that remains is a single capped well head. But this fails to appease environmentalists. There is a long history of this kind of hysteria.
AFP editor James P. Tucker Jr. is a veteran journalist who spent many years as a member of the "elite" media in Washington. Since 1975 he has won widespread recognition, here and abroad, for his pursuit of on-the-scene stories reporting the intrigues of global power blocs such as the Bilderberg Group. Tucker is the author of Jim Tucker's Bilderberg Diary: One Man's 25-Year Battle to Shine the Light on the World Shadow Government. American Free Press May 23, 2011 Spotlight On Congress
Washington Accused of Downplaying Drug Violence On Mexican Border A Texas legislator believes that the federal government is downplaying the true extent of criminal activity and violence that is taking place along the 2,000-mile-long border between the United States and Mexico.
"Skewed reporting on crime along the U.S.-Mexico border" was the focus of a House Homeland Security Committee oversight hearing on May 11, reported The Hill, a Capitol Hill daily.
The presiding official, Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), conducted the meeting "to hear from high-level federal, state and local law enforcement officials entrenched in dealing with the ongoing violence along the U.S. southern border, caused by the powerful Mexican drug cartels."
The hearing, "On the Border and in the Line of Fire: U.S. Law Enforcement, Homeland Security and Cartel Violence," was the second in a series of hearings. A committee aide told The Hill that the hearing was designed to discuss "the discrepancies in official data on the actual rate of violence on the border."
"This Administration is not giving the American people a complete picture of security on our border with Mexico. The data on spillover crimes and violence is deceiving and under reported. Our stat and local law enforcement on the front lines need help. Their first hand accounts will tell the real story of how we are out-manned, overpowered and in danger of losing control of our own communities to narco-terrorists," McCaul was quoted as saying.
Acouple of recent deaths catapulted this issue to even more prominence: Immigration and Customs enforcement agent Jamie Zapata of Brownsville, Texas was fatally shot Feb. 15 by drug cartel operatives while on assignment with a surviving partner during travels in Mexico; and Michigan native Brian Terry, a Border Patrol agent, was shot along the Arizona-Mexico border last December.
Terry was evidently the victim of an illicit Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) gunrunning scheme whereby firearms bought in the U.S. were transferred to and used by drug cartels. Zapata conceivably could have fallen prey to the same scheme, though that remains to be seen.
More people are being kidnapped in the U.S. and murdered in Mexico. Such crimes are not included in the murder statistics on the U.S. side of the border. The FBI claims crime along the southwest border has declined by about 14 percent over the last three years.
"These numbers show a clear distinction between political rhetoric and proven facts," Rep. Bernie Thompson (D-Miss.), a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, said at the first hearing in March.
On May 11, McCaul's panel spoke with Texas Department of Public Safety director Dol. Steven McCraw, Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne and other local and federal officials on the border violence - which McCaul considers grave enough to have introduced a bill to designate the six drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs).
"The bill would add the Arellano Feliz and Beltran Leyva organizations, Los Zetas and Sinaloa cartels, La Familia Michoacana and Gulf Cartel/New Federation to the U.S. FTO list; in effect it would limit the cartels' financial, property and travel interests, and impose harsher punishment on anyone who provides material support to cartels," The Hill explained.
McCaul, whose actions show that the most threatening terrorists live next door, not overseas, is expected to repeat his request that the White House extend National Guard troop duty along the southern border, beyond the June 30 draw-down scheduled by Obama.
McCaul and other top-ranking GOP lawmakers sent an April 1 letter to the White House requesting that the National Guard remain in place. The White House had not formally responded as AFP went to press.

American Free Press May 23, 2011 How Much Has the Terror War Cost Us? By John Tiffany If you believe the media, the most expensive public enemy in American history - Osama bin Laden - died recently from two bullets in the head. Actually we do not know who, if anyone was murdered by U.S. Seals under the orders of President Barack Obama, who has proved to be just as vicious as "W" Bush.
What's truly striking is how much the phony "war on terror" has cost our nation since Sept. 11, 2001 - while nothing has been gained.
By conservative estimates, the pony war has cost the United States more than $6 trillion over the past 10 years, along with the lives of thousands of Americans and perhaps a million people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and elsewhere. This includes the costs of the wars as well as the $40 billion spent annually on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which was created by the Bush administration following 9-11.
We have spent one-fifth of a year's gross domestic product - more than the entire 2008 budget of the U.S. government - supposedly responding to the 2001 attacks, which many believe were nothing more than a false flag attack by Israel.
What do we have to show for this tab? Senseless wars in "Afpak" and Iraq continue to tie up 150,000 troops and consume a quarter of our military gudget and we have gained a bloated homeland-security apparatus that is destroying our civil liberty.
And the whole fiasco has contributed vastly to our spiraling national debt, which threatens to topple the U.S. economy.
By comparison, World War II spending cost $4.1 billion. The nonpartisan Congressional Research Service estimates that the Union and Confederate armies combined to spend $80 billion, in today's dollars, fighting each other.
It took 40 years for U.S. military spending to top$19 trillion during the Cold War, as the nation escalated an arms race with the Soviet Union.

American Free Press May 23, 2011 Major Inconsistencies Seen In Killing of Bin Laden By Keith Johnson Following Osama bin Laden's quick burial at sea, which the White House claims to have done in "strict conformance with Islamic precepts and practices," various Arabic and Persian news agencies pointed out that a burial at sea is actually contrary to Islamic practices. Therefore, the U.S. media ran cover for the government by claiming that the manner in which they disposed of bin Laden's body was done to avoid building a shrine where he could later be honored by his followers.
The speedy verification of bin Laden's DNA has also been called into question. Kevin Brewer, a forensic scientist at the Johnson County Kansas crime lab, told a local news affiliate that it was reasonable to inspect DNA in less than 12 hours if you are"focusing all your attention on one sample." Another geneticist said"DNA analysis can be completed in as little as six hours if it's a prioritized task.
However, because of the equipment needed to perform such a test, what was claimed to be bin Laden's body was reportedly flown to Jalalabad in the mountainous region of northern Afghanistan, where the supposed verification was made against DNA samples of bin Laden's sister, who just happened to be at their disposal.
The slain terror chief, so the story goes, was then flown a distance of a least 600 miles to the North Arabian Sea and taken on board the USS Carl Vinson where he was prepared for burial at sea at 1:10 a.m. (EST), which was completed by 2 a.m. on May 2.
It should be noted that the raid began at 1 a.m. Pakistan Standard Time, which would have been 4 p.m. (EST) on May 1. According to all available sources, the entire raid took 40 minutes, half of which was the alleged shootout.
Are we to assume than that they were able to load bin Laden's body onto a helicopter right after he was killed, fly him to northern Afghanistan for a CNA test that can take six hours, then load his body back onto an aircraft and fly him several hundred miles for a sea burial - all within the time frame of less than nine hours?
Moreover, one is compelled to ask why the military was in such a rush to dispose of the body, especially since they had a full 24 hours to bury it in"strict conformance with Islamic precepts and practices" that U.S. officials initially claimed to be so concerned about.
The convoluted details surrounding bin Laden's latest death become even more suspect when matched against other reports that call into question whether this so-called raid by U.S. Navy Seals ever happened to begin with.
On May 2, a Pakistan TV station quoted Pakistani intelligence officials who alleged that bin Laden was killed in a search operation launched by Pakistani forces - after a Pakistani army helicopter was shot down in Abbottabad the same town, with a strong Pakistani military establishment, where the U.S. claims to have conducted their raid.
The article also states, Two U.S. helicopters flew to the site and carried away the dead body of bin Laden." The sole verification of bin Laden's identity was from "some Arab women and kids as well some other armed people" who are said to have confessed to Pakistani forces they were with bin Laden when the gunfire was exchanged.
Casting even more doubt on the official story is a recent audio recording of a resident in Abbottabad who claims that no ne in her city believes bin Laden ever lived there. On May 3, Shandana Syed told BBC Radio 5 Live, "Nobody is convinced that it was actually Osama bin Laden. That's what most people think over here."
She added, "Of all the places in the world, if I want to hide from someone, I would definitely not come into such a city.

American Free Press May 23, 2011 Ten Reasons Not to Believe Bin Laden Mythmakers By Victor Thorn Here are 10 good reasons why you should be wary of any news coming from the mainstream media or the U.S. government about the death of "terror mastermind" Osama bin Laden:
1) Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) claimed, amid considerable controversy, that the bin Laden death photos shown to him were fakes.
2) Not a single independent source outside the Obama administration verified the authenticity of bin Laden's corpse prior to it being dumped in the Arabian Sea.
3) A Duke University professor, Bruce Lawrence, has testified that previous bin Laden videotapes were "outright fakes."
4) Many of the residents in Abbottabad near the alleged bin Laden compound say it would have been impossible for bin Laden to live right next door to them without their knowledge. As 22-year-old Haris Rasheed said suspiciously: "I'm not ready to buy bin Laden was here. Why did they bury him so quickly? This is all fake - a drama, and a crude on."
5) From The World Tribune, Oct. 26, 2002: "Israel and the United States assess that bin Laden probably died in the U.S. military campaign in Afghanistan in December 2001. They said the emergence of new messages by bin Laden are probably fabrications. The sources said al Qaeda has already determined bin Laden's heir."
6) The former Pakistan president, Pervez Musharraf, accidentally admitted that bin Laden died of kidney failure because his dialysis machine had been rendered inoperable during an escape from Afghanistan.
7) Since photographic evidence proves that one of the two U.S. helicopters used in this operation either crashed or malfunctioned, how did 24 Navy Seals, a translator, a rescue dog, an apparent corpse and scores of pieces of equipment salvaged from the fallen craft all fit into a single Blackhawk chopper without being overloaded?
8) The public was told bin Laden's mansion had no phone lines, TV or Internet access, yet photos show an obvious satellite dish in the yard With such limited technological capacity, where did the "treasure trove" of data on hard drives originate?
9) With bin Laden finally expunged again, why did the new No. 1 terror threat, Anwar al-Awlaki, meet with top Pentagon officials only months after Sept. 11, 2001? CBS News reported in October 2010, "Anwar al-Awlaki, the radical spiritual leader linked to several 9-11 Pentagon attackers, the Fort Hood shooting and the attempted Christmas Day bombing of an airliner, was a guest at the Pentagon in the months after 9-11, a Pentagon official confirmed."
10) Why did the 9-11 Commission exclude testimony from FBI translator Sibel Edmonds claiming that bin Laden was on the CIA payroll right up until the day of the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001?

American Free Press May 23, 2011 More Gun Control the Aim of Gunrunner'? By Frank Whalen Several lawmakers are making headway in exposing the Department of Justice's (DOJ) efforts to surreptitiously further its gun control agenda with "Project Gunrunner." Covered extensively by AFP as it developed, this story could have enough political implications to negatively impact Obama's 2012 re-election campaign.
Project Gunrunner was a program by which the DOJ and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) encouraged gun stores to sell firearms to middlemen of dubious character and then allow these guns to be transported into Mexico where they were acquired by violent drug cartels. DOJ and BATFE did nothing to intercept the shipments and the people involved.
However, if the U.S. government's operation had never taken place., lives would have been saved, including that of Customs and Border Protection Agent Brian Terry, who was killed along the Arizona-Mexico border on Dec. 14, 2010.
The question now is: Was there a deeper purpose behind Operation Gunrunner and its sister program, Operation Fast and Furious?
According to some reports, it may have been an excuse for the expansion of gun control laws in the United States with perhaps some profiteering on the side.
While in Mexico on April 16, 20 09 Barack Obama, implying a need for more gun control, said, "This war is being waged with guns purchased not here but in the United States. More than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States, any from gun ships that lay in our shared border."
In a report, dated May 4, 2011, William La Jeunesse reported, "An internal memo from the BATFE shows that U.S. officials allowed criminals to buy 1,318 guns, worth nearly $1 million."
La Jeunesse cited a law enforcement source as alleging: "Undercover agents were acting as the straw buyers and purchasing guns using government-issued false identifications and then providing those guns to cartel traffickers to gain credibility in their undercover roles. In that capacity, the BATFE provided guns to traffickers that are loose in Mexico and unaccounted for."
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Ca.) recently questioned U.S. Attorney Gen. Eric Holder about DOJ's role in this program, as well as his denial of being aware that the program even existed.
Issa stated: "Mr. Attorney General, we're looking at your key people who knew or should have known about this and whether or not your judgment was consistent with good practices and whether or not, instead, the Justice department is basically guilty of allowing weapons to kill Americans and Mexicans. Will you agree to cooperate with that investigation, both on the House and Senate side?"
Holder responded: "We'll certainly cooperate with the investigations, but I take great exception to the notion that somehow or other, this Justice Department is responsible for those deaths that you mentioned. That assertion is offensive. I want to tell you that.
Issa shot back, "But what if it is accurate, Mr. Attorney General?"
As AFP's Victor Thorn recently wrote, these programs have resulted in weapons, drugs, human organs and slaves being trafficked as well as countless incidents of murder, torture and rape. Such topics make for great political fodder on the campaign trail as politicians strive to show potential voters how new legislation - such as gun control measures - will supposedly make a true impact on these problems.

American Free Press May 23, 2011 Your Cell Phone Is A Technological Trojan Horse By Keith Hansen In the 1928 Supreme Curt case Olmstead vs. United States, Justice Louis Brandeis wrote in his dissenting opinion, "The right to be let alone was the most comprehensive of rights and the right most valued by civilized men." Apparently that sentiment is fading fast as communication technology, introduced as a tool of convenience, is turned into a contrivance of control.
The most current privacy-related issue regarding cellular phones was raised in response to the recent revelation that apple's newest iPhone had been outfitted with the capacity to track not only the users current location, but where the user has een across an extensive period of time.
"While that's mysterious and somewhat spooky in and of itself," writes Greg Kumparek, editor of Mobile Crunch, "it gets a bit stranger. This data can then be taken and mapped to show where you've been and where you've gone since the last time you cleared everything off your device."
Recently, Apple addressed the issue, insisting it wasn't tracking users. Nevertheless, the company stated it will make software modifications so that data will be stored for no more than seven days and cached when the device is synced. Users will also be given the option to discontinue this service.
But why did Apple put itself in a position to collect information? Author and technology consultant Alasdair Allan commented: "It's unclear. The fact that information is transferred across devices when you restore or migrate is evidence the data-gathering isn't accidental."
Allan was also concerned that, unlike cell-phone providers that collect similar data but secure it behind firewalls, Apple's information was "available to anyone who can get their hands on your phone or computer."
Even secured information stored on someone's cell phone is accessible to interested outside parties. Law enforcement agencies are now beginning to employ cell phone extraction devices, as detailed in AFP's report in the May 9&16 edition.
Such devices, according to Cellebrite, a leader in mobile forensics, can extract "existing, hidden and deleted phone data, including call history, text messages, contacts, images and geo-tags." All this can be accomplished in as little as 90 seconds.
This practice brings up privacy issues because information extraction is conducted without a warrant and may constitute an unreasonable search contrary to the Forth Amendment. Motorists who have been stopped for nothing more than minor traffic violations have been willing to hand over their cell phone since it's usually no more than a arm's reach away. Yet thisis only the latest example of how cell-phone usage has made Americans apathetic toward the value of personal privacy.
Not more than 10 year ago when open-air pay phone kiosks were far more numerous, persons engaged in a phone conversation would stare daggers at anyone thought to have encroached close enough to listen. Yet, today, cell phone users tell it all - with no reservation, at any annoying loudness - in any public venue.
Cell phones are also used to take video and photos, and while that function can be immensely helpful in emergencies, it make people less likely to resist a snitch society. This growing indifference to privacy has also been aided by social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
The sites themselves aren't to blame, as they're proving to be of great value in business applications. The problem is the way in which people across generations use them, apparently more than willing to reveal anything about themselves and, to often, their dark side.

American Free Press May 23, 2011 Illegal Immigration Eroding Foundation of America Columnist and commentator Patrick J. Buchanan has made a career of getting to the point in any public discussion without considering the resulting uproar. A couple of years ago he said on an MSNBC talk show: "I think white men were 100 percent of the people who wrote the constitution, 100 percent of the people who signed the Declaration of Independence, 100 percent of the people who died at Gettysburg and Vicksburg, probably close to 100 percent of the people who died at Normandy. This has been a country built by white folds." That kind of talk hardly goes over well in these politically correct times. Buchanan's pro-Americanism ot anyone with a similar attitude, irks the media.
American Free Press is a leader in speaking for America first and upholding the traditional God-fearing rights and beliefs of all.
A major problem for the United States is its unwillingness to control its borders, by land, sea and air. Illegal immigrants enter the country at will. Those to the south walk across. Sometimes they use lighted tunnels to enter America the locations of which are hard to find.
What can readily be concluded is that a country that can't - or won't - protect its borders is unable to keep its sovereignty. And there are many U.S. organizations, often sponsored by religious groups, that encourage illegal immigrants to cross over from Mexico and elsewhere and abridge that sovereignty.
There is a crime war at the border between Mexican police and drug cartels. American tourists are warned not to go near the border because they will become innocent victims caught in the crossfire or victims of gang and police brutality.
Nutty liberals see swarms of illegal immigrants as a good thing, naively believing that they all are innocents who are seeking asylum and somehow have equal rights in this country to taxpaying American citizens. Most liberal and others think the U.S. must use the invaders to maintain the labor force for jobs others supposedly won't perform. But besides the fact that enforcing border security consistently must always come first, this influx of immigrants, illegal or not, is changing the cultural makeup of the country, and increasing unemployment for native Americans. Most of those entering cannot understand the U.S. and live by the rules that stem from America's Euro-American traditions.
As this new "diverse" population develops, the political result is that the role of the Democratic Party and its close ally, big labor, increases, and the mob, as seen in Wisconsin, loses no time in asserting itself.
These are perilous times, and the role that different cultures play is one to be carefully watched. The fate of our nation hangs in the balance. Your influence and your vote count. Contact your representatives at the state and federal level on this matter. And vote only for those who place border security first.

American Free Press May 30, 2011 Countdown To Bilderberg By Mark Anderson As the economy tanks, AMERICAN FREE PRESS prepares to cover Bilderberg 2011 in St. Moritz, Switzerland June 9-12. The average American, the average European and countless others are much more affected than ever before by the painful policies that come from the very people who comprise the notorious Bilderberg group.
For too many years, the American press has been unforgivably silent on this global planning group, whose secret meetings about important mattersalways behind sealed doors, ringed with heavily armed guardswere first brought to light by the late columnist Westbrook Pegler in the early days and then given grand exposure by AFP's own Willis A. Carto and Jim Tucker ever since.
Tucker helped bring the European press into the fold. While the U.S. corporate media remain silent, readers of papers around the world now know about these conspirators.
Never before have there been fewer excuses for the continual U.S. press blackout on the annual Bilderberg meetings. Television reports in mid-May did focus heavily on one infamous Bilderberg member, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who headed the International Monetary Fund. The IMF has saddled several nations with impossible debt structures, resulting in major news stories. Yet, Strauss-Kahn made even bigger headlines than the IMF with his alleged sexual crime that landed him in a jail in New York. Still, his obvious Bilderberg pedigree escapes America's reporters, editors and publishers.
Remember David Rockefeller's oft-quoted words during a 1991 Bilderberg meeting in Baden-Baden, Germany exactly 20 years ago: "We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan . . . if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march toward a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."
The "national auto-determination" traditional to Switzerland is a major reason why a prominent Swiss legislator wrote a letter to a federal councilor in charge of police functions (see AFP's May 23 issue, page 1), stressing that many Swiss do not want the likes of Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger and other undesirables breaking bread for global control within Swiss borders.
Bilderberg's ongoing plan to make crude oil cost much more and strangle national economies with their debt schemes are finally being felt by everyoneup close and personal. That is why AFP, We Are Change/ Switzerland and others are sounding the alarm more loudly than ever.
As you read this, call your local media and national media and demand an accounting of Bilderberg. Feel free to send them this article.

American Free Press May 30, 2011 Restricting the Movement of You & Your Money By Keith Hansen In 2010, legislation was quietly passed that heavily penalizes U.S. citizens who move assets to non-U.S. financial institutions. When that legislation is taken into consideration, along with a current State Department policy change, a clearer picture emerges about governmental plans to further erode citizens' freedom of movement as well as their ultimate right to ownership of assets, including money.
Last year's legislation punished Americansmany of whom had sought a more stable financial environment for their money than existed in the U.S. amid a wave of bank failuresby obligating foreign banks to disclose the full details of non-exempt bank accounts to the Internal Revenue Service.
These measures were implemented ostensibly to prevent terrorists and drug lords from moving and laundering money. But their chilling effect successfully froze Americans, who were ready to move their assets to foreign banks. The government's implied message was clear: Your money isn't going anywhere.
Now the State Department has jumped into the restriction game. Last month it revealed a new application process for granting passportswhich, by the way, will be needed for travel to Canada and Mexicothat in some cases is impossible to provide.
At the center of this process is the new "Biographical Questionnaire for a U.S. Passport," a five-page, six-section form that asks for all kinds of information. Some of the requested information begs the greater question: What relevancy do these questions have in determining the acceptability of granting an applicant a passport?
The following is a sample of the information required by Form DS-5513:
* The full name, date of birth, place of birth and Social Security number for parents and/or stepparent(s), siblings, spouse and children.
* All residences inside and outside the United States.
* All former and current places of employment, including each company's name, location, time employed, supervisor's name and contact information.
* All schools attended, inside and/or outside the United States, beginning from elementary school with locations and dates of attendance.
It gets dicey for applicants who cannot answer "yes" to both of the following questions: Was your birth recorded within one year of the date your birth occurred? Were you born in a medical facility?
If one answers "no," then applicant must supply all of the following information regarding their mother:
* All residences a year before and a year after the applicant's birth.
* Mother's employment and related information at the time of giving birth.
Among the 12 items in Section C, "Information for Non-Institutional Births or Delayed Birth Filings," the most bewildering request is for applicant to "describe the circumstances of your birth including the names, as well as address and phone number, if available, of persons present or in attendance at your birth."
Apparently, the State Department presumes that babies came into this world outfitted with a fully functional memory and a full dossier of paperwork. Lest prospective applicants get too exercised about this questionnairewhose completion time has laughingly been estimated at 45 minutesthe State Department allays any such anxieties with its infamous doublespeak.
The Privacy Act Statement's last sentence declares, "Providing the information requested on this form, including your Social Security number, is voluntary, but failure to provide the information requested may result in processing delays or the denial of your U.S. passport application."

American Free Press May 30, 2011 How I Was Tortured, Told to Lie by the Obama Regime By Bill White
In 2008, I was arrested because a federal informantHarold Turnerclaimed, falsely, that I was planning to assassinate President Barack Obama by detonating a truck bomb at the Poff Federal Building in Roanoke, Va. I was never charged with this crime, however. Instead, I was charged with a series of free speech violations for publishing a website and magazine critical of the government. It took me 83 days to prove to the satisfaction of the feds that there was no assassination plot; it took them two and a half years to release me, acquitted. If they had a choice, I would still be in prison today.
When I was arrested for speech offenses, I assumed I would receive bond. No one had ever been hurt, and the organization I was involved in, the American National Socialist Worker's Party, had never been involved in violence. But, two days after my arrest, when I attended a detention hearing, I was ruled dangerous, based solely on my dangerous political views.
After my detention, I was tortured by the Obama government. Initially, I was held in a small room under a bright light 24 long hours a day and subjected to sleep deprivation. I was denied showers, a shave, even a toothbrush, and it was in this conditiondirty and half dead from lack of sleepthat I was repeatedly taken to the courts and paraded before the news cameras.
I was held in a cell with no heat in the 20-below Chicago winter. At one point I was placed in a cell that was then flooded with human feces. The U.S. marshals wanted to know, "Where was the bomb?" I had no idea what they were talking about, and didn't until almost a year later, when Turner was put on trial for, in part, lying about the "truck bomb plot."
I later learned the government had been following me since 1996. When I was a teenager, someonethe police still don't know whofirebombed the home of a police officer. There were no suspects, but a detective told the FBI that he couldn't imagine anyone who would have a problem with the police except a little anarchist group I was involved in. Based upon this, and despite no evidence linking me to any crime, I was indexed by the FBI as a "domestic terrorist."
In 2007, the American National Socialist Workers Party began publishing a magazine with a small distribution. Even so, big newspapers such as The New York Times began covering our efforts, and in February 2007, the FBI sought and obtained approval to open a "terrorism enterprise investigation" into our activities. A special prosecution team was set up within the Department of Justice for the sole purpose of prosecuting us, and, eventually, me, "at all costs."
As an "act of violence," necessary for opening a "terrorism enterprise investigation," the 1996 statement that I was part of a group suspected in an arson was used.
Though the government determined there was no bomb, I was in and out of "supermax" for the next two-and-a-half years. The conditions were brutal. After one seven-month stretch, the ligaments in my knees atrophied
until I couldn't walk for two weeks. The government knew I was innocent but didn't want to admit they'd made a mistake. They pressured witnesses to lie to grand juries. Two were eventually convicted of thatTurner and another man, Timothy Bland, who used his FBI witness stipend to come to where I lived and try to find and murder my wife and daughter.
By April 2010, the Obama administration knew I was innocent, but they had other uses for me. They wanted me to testify to a "neo-nazi domestic terrorist conspiracy" and perjure myself before a grand jury and Congress, implicating their political enemies. I refused and was returned to supermax.
In January 2011, I was again approached and told that, if I would "cooperate," I would be immediately releasedall charges would be dropped and my record cleared. In April 2011, thankfully, I was acquitted of my fifth federal criminal case, and released regardless.
This is what communism looks like in the United States. I was innocent and eventually acquitted. I was not involved in any plot to bomb any federal building or assassinate Obama.
But, I was arrested, detained, tortured and held in solitary confinement because I refused to lie for the benefit of the federal government and falsely accuse myself and others of crimes.

American Free Press May 30, 2011 Brits Resist Growing Power of EU, Bilderberg By James P. Tucker Jr. In another demonstration that growing public awareness about Bilderberg is stifling the group's global government ambitions, British officials are loudly complaining about Bilderberg-imposed powers exercised by the European Union on the grounds that the public is now endangered by the protection of criminals.
British attitudes toward the EU have long been a peculiar mix. Brits have allowed the surrender of their national sovereignty to the EU but become angry when the EU exercises the authority that the Brits transferred to the EU. The Brits also have refused to embrace the euro and still trade in the pound.
Decisions by the European Commission on Human Rights have had a "chilling effect" on Britain's efforts to deport people who put the public at risk, said Lord Carlile of Berriew, a Liberal Democrat peer and the government's former terrorism watchdog. "Urgent reform" is needed, he said.
European judges have put themselves on a "collision course" with the British Parliament in the fight over prisoners' votes. Carlile cited a report by Dominic Raab, a Tory member of Parliament, who said that unelected and inexperienced European judges risk causing a constitutional crisis by attacking the will of British politicians. Raab said that judges at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg, France were assuming a legislative function that was beyond agreed-upon powers.
Tensions between London and Strasbourg are increasing because the European court ruled that Britain's blanket ban on voting by prisoners is illegal. Carlile said the European Commission was out of date with "reasonable public expectation" and should be modernized.
A commission requirement that prisoners held for the first time should be allowed to vote makes it more difficult to deport potentially dangerous people, he said. Raab said the court, in the prisoner vote case, went beyond its traditional powers of interpretation and was effectively making law. "This judicial coup represents a naked usurpation, by a judicial body, of the legislative power that properly belongs to democratically elected lawmakers," he said.
Their concern was originally sparked by a series of high-profile cases in which deportation of criminals has been prevented under human rights lawslaws that see rights for prisoners but little or none for the general public. They include the case of Aso Mohammed Ibrahim, who killed a girl, 12, in a hit-and-run incident.
"The massive expansion of human rights law threatens to frustrate Britain's ability to deport convicted criminals and terrorist suspects," Raab said. "The goal posts keep shifting, because of unaccountable judicial legislationespecially the expansion of claims around the right to family life. Britain has lost a degree of control over its borders, which inevitably means that we are importing more risk."
Britain's resistance to the court, as confused as it is, is certain to trouble Bilderberg. A European Court that can dictate to its nation-states is critical to Bilderberg's ambitions of a world government.
In Switzerland, where the Bilderberg group is slated to meet June 9 to June 12, voters last year approved a measure to deport criminal immigrants. Switzerland is a non-EU nation that also is not a NATO member.

American Free Press May 30, 2011 Government Terrorism Exposed in Filmmaker's Trial By Mark Anderson
It is safe to say that British activist John Anthony Hill's verdict of not guilty, on a 10 to two vote by a jury of his peers, is a step forward in the broad quest for truth - regarding how, why and when governments conduct inside-job terrorist attacks and blame them on external "enemies."
Hill, 63, is a modest Englishman and devout Christian who made the documentary 7/7 Ripple Effect* about the summer 2005 London subway and bus bombings that killed 52 people. He shared DVD film copies with British court officials as an amicus, or friend of the court, feeling it was his civic duty. But he was arrested for making the film and charged with "perverting the course of justice, contrary to the common law."Hill's film lays bare precisely how the British government arranged to have three young Pakistani men and one man from the West Indies wear suspicious-looking backpacks while being convinced they were part of a government exercise to combat terrorism - an exercise announced with great fanfare by the BBC in 2004. The four patsies, all British subjects, knew they were betrayed and were accordingly assassinated when the real bombings occurred on July 7, 2005 during the supposed exercise. Yet, last-minute cancellations of certain subway runs and other unexpected glitches on that pivotal day helped unravel the plot.
The film was officially released in November 2007. Hill was extradited from Ireland and whisked back to England by British police for his crime just over a year later.
At London's Southwark Crown Court, prosecutors used the opening day of the trial, May 9, to portray Hill as a shadowy figure who - because he included only a pen name ("Muad'Dib") in the film copies he sent to the court - was therefore a societal menace. Yet Hill got to show the entire documentary, which nails the British government to the wall, to the court in front of Judge Jeffrey Vincent Pegden, the prosecution and the rest of those in the packed courtroom. Given the film's content, this is no small matter, mor is the fact that Hill's testimony from the witness stand became part of the public record.
The film was shown May 10, Hill testified on May 11 and everything wrapped up May 12. When the "not guilty" verdict was read, "The public gallery stood up to applaud and the judge walked out," Hill gold AFP, adding, "The court staff was really supportive of me, the security staff, too. They said there is no way the jury can find you guilty."
On the stand, Hill's barrister helped Hill link 9-11 in the U.S. with the Madrid Spain train bombings in 2004, and the 2005 London bombings. "These people did 9-11, the Madrid bombings and they did 7-7," Hill said, recalling his testimony on the greater political establishment. "They're the New World Order."
Hill, who's planning another documentary, noted that about 140 UK newspapers carried fair accounts of his trial, including two national papers, The Guardian and The Telegraph.
With wars raging across the globe in the "war on terror," he predicted it's finally time for the truth to prevail: "The dam is broken, and the waters are flowing out."
******** * You can see the entire film at the website JforJustice.co.uk/77. American Free Press May 30, 2011 Former President of Italy Said He Knew Who Did 9-11 Back in December of 2007AFP issue #52, Dec. 24, we brought you a shocking story about a gutsy Italian politician - the former president of Italy - Grancesco Cossiga, who said, without doubt that the Sept 11, 2001 attacks on the United states were a joint CIA and Mossad operation. Judging from the information contained in the above article on proof of government collusion in the terror attacks in London on July 7, 2005, we feel this article is worth repeating.
By the Staff of American Free Press
Former Italian President Francesco Cossiga, who revealed the existence of Operation Gladio, has told Italy's oldest and most widely read newspaper that the 9-11 terrorist attacks were run by the CIA and Mossad, and that this was common knowledge among global intelligence agencies. In what translates awkwardly into English, Cossiga told the Italian newspaper Carriere della Sera:
"All the intelligence services of America and Europe know well that the disastrous attack has been planned and realized from the Mossad with the aid of the Zionist world in order to put under accusation the Arabic countries and in order to induce the western powers to take part in Iraq and Afghanistan." Cossiga was elected president of the Italian Senate in July 1983 before winning a landslide election to become president of the country in 1985, and he remained until 1992 [Cossiga, 82, died in 2010. - Ed.]
Cossiga's tendency to be outspoken upset the Italian political establishment, and he was forced to resign after revealing the existence of, and his part in setting up, Operation Gladio. This was a rogue intelligence network under NATO auspices that carried out bombings across Europe in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Gladio's specialty was to carry out what they termed "false flag" operations - terror attacks that were blamed on their domestic and geopolitical opposition.
In March 2001, Gladio agent Vincenzo Vinceguerra stated, in sworn testimony, "You had to attack civilians, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple: To force the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security."
Cossiga first expressed his doubts about 9-11 in 2001, and is quoted by 9-11 researcher Webster Tarpley saying, "The mastermind of the attack must have been a sophisticated mind, provided with ample means not only to recruit fanatic kamikazes, but also highly specialized personnel. I add one thing: It could not be accomplished without infiltrations in the radar and flight security personnel."
Coming from a widely respected former head of state, Cossiga's assertion that the 9-11 attacks were an inside job and that this is common knowledge among global intelligence agencies is illumination. It is one more eye-opening confirmation that has not been mentioned by America's propaganda machine in print or on television.

American Free Press May 30, 2011 SPOTLIGHT ON CONGRESS
Chuck Schumer Calls for No Ride' List Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) wants to take the massive, secret list of Americans and foreigners who are barred from boarding airplanes and apply it to trains as well.
Schumer recently said he would like to see the Department of Homeland security (DHS) expand its "Secure Flight" monitoring program, which checks air travelers against a top secret watch list maintained by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Schumer would like the TSA to be able to bar anyone on the "no-fly list" from boarding any train in the United States.
Schumer is not concerned that the no-fly list has become a laughingstock for some spectacular failures, such as barring high-profile "terrorists" from flying like Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.). The late senator was stopped in August 2004 at National Airport. Then there was Phoenix, Ariz. resident Ingrid Sanden's one-year-old daughter, whose name was on the list and was blocked by a TSA security official from flying to visit her grandparents.
In the mainstream press, Kennedy's troubles were portrayed as "comical." But to regular Americans, it was not funny. At the time, the senator noted that it took him three weeks of calling the head of the DHS personally to have his name removed.
"How are ordinary Americans going to be able to get to be treated fairly and not have their rights abused?" Kennedy later remarked.
Mrs. Sanden was equally perplexed about how her daughter ended up on the government's secret list. "It was bizarre," she told a wire service reporter in 2005. I was hugely pregnant at the time, and I was thinking like, We look really threatening.'"
Of course, this blacklist in our "land of the free" is secret, so there is no way to know for sure how many people are on it. And you won't know you are on it until you try to travel somewhere and are thwarted. The American Civil Liberties Union claims about 1 million names are on the list, which is growing daily. The secret monitoring program is estimated to cost taxpayers nearly $1 billion since it was first rolled out in 2001 following the Sept. 11 false flag attacks.

American Free Press May 30, 2011 SPOTLIGHT ON CONGRESS
Peace Unpatriotic? At a town hall meeting on May 15, Rep. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), a member of the House Foreign Relations Committee, spoke to his constituents about a recent trip he took to Afghanistan. The fact-finding mission, he said, reaffirmed his belief that it is time for the United States to bring the troops home. But that's no the shocking part. What troubled some attendees during the gathering was an admission by Murphy that many of his fellow republicans agree with him but are to cowardly to admit it because that are afraid of being called "unpatriotic. Murphy told the crowd that one Republican legislator confided in him that "even if he opposed the war, ti wasn't right for him to openly talk about that."
The last straw for Murphy was touring fields of poppies, a plant used to make heroin. The local farmer said he was able to grow his crops thanks to new irrigation canals that had been built by local Afghan officials - all at U.S. taxpayer expense.
"We ate taking one step forward while taking two steps back," Murphy said.

American Free Press May 30, 2011 Indiana Supreme Court Decides Cops Can Enter Without Warrant By Victor Thorn On May 12, the Indiana Supreme Court delivered what many people consider to be one of the most dangerous decisions of modern times. The state's high court ruled three to two that citizens of the Hoosier state no longer have the right to resist a police officer's entry into their home, even if this intrusion was conducted illegally.
With common law stretching back nearly 800 years to the Magna Carta, wherein a man's home is his castle, these same rights have been neutered in Indiana.
As Dan Carden of The Northwest Indiana Times wrote on May 13, "Justice Steven David said that if a police officer wants to enter a home for any reason at all, a homeowner cannot do anything to block the officer's entry." David added that even if every Fourth Amendment right is violated in regard to unreasonable searches and seizures, courtrooms are the proper place to settle disputes, not a front doorstep.
In a dissenting opinion, Justice Robert Rucker spoke vehemently and courageously against this step toward an official police state.
"In my view the majority sweeps with far too broad a brush by essentially telling Indiana citizens that government agents may now enter their homes illegally," wrote Rucker - "that is, without the necessity of a warrant or exigent circumstances."
Another judge strongly opposed to this outrageous ruling, Brent Dickson, further stressed, "The wholesale abrogation of the historic right of a person to reasonably resist unlawful entry into his dwelling is unwarranted and unnecessarily broad."
What has occurred is monumental in its disregard for constitutionally provided right. Previously, Indiana police officers needed a search warrant signed by a judge before entering anyone's home. Now, it is solely a lawman's decision as to whether circumstances merit entering a home without knocking.
Opinion columnist Mark Kiesling of The Northwest Indiana Times summarized this ruling in a May 15 commentary blasting the court for taking the state another step toward totalitarianism. He continued by criticizing those who found it necessary to erode our most basic protections: "It's already worked for them in Indianapolis, where the sound of jackboots is resonating on the cobblestones."
Unflinching in his disapproval, Kiesling concluded, "The way last week has gone, let's just issue the authorities black uniforms, jackboots and MP-40 submachine guns and get it over with."

American Free Press May 30, 2011 Feds Want Full Access to Your Personal Records By Frank Whalen
Under the guise of protecting Americans and their private communications, the Justice Department's expanded Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) will in actuality be a government license to snoop through our most sensitive, personal data. The worst part about it is that Americans will have no idea they are being watched and tracked.
Now, a cry has been made that the ECPA, a law initially passed in 1986, sorely needs an update. Today's modern technology, affordably priced, easy to use and present in almost every household, is capable of far more than the law had accounted for.
Ironically, the initial purpose of the Electronic Communications Privacy Act was to prevent unauthorized access to private electronic communications. Now, on behalf of all Americans, the government would expand the law to actually gain access to data it would otherwise be barred from obtaining.
Attorney Ben Eric Holder spoke to the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding this exact agenda: "We want to strike an appropriate balance between the legitimate privacy interests that this bill seeks to protect and the law enforcement interest that we have in being able to obtain information in order to protect the American people and to enforce our federal criminal laws."
However, if this law is expanded, what will protect Americans from their "protectors"?
Legislators recently called executives and representatives of hi-tech powerhouses like Apple and google to answer questions from Capitol Hill about the storage of personal information of customers using smart phones and their GPS-like tracking capabilities.
A representative from the Federal Trade Commission's Consumer Protection Office testified that software data collection allows companies to "know what church somebody has gone to, what political meeting they have gone to, or when and where they walk to and from school. That is sensitive data that requires special protection."
Apple's software technology vice president Bud Tribble tried to reassure senators: "Apple was never tracking an individual's location from the information residing in that cache. Location data seen on the iPhone but rather the location of wireless Internet hot spots and cell towers surrounding the iPhone's location."
These phones do have an application called "location services" that shows the user's location in real time. But that preference must be activated in order to track a user's location so he can utilize maps and GPS functionality.
But what Tribble was referring to involved recent disclosures that Apple was tracking a user's position even when location service options were turned off.
In essence, Tribble reinforced an issue that had come to light years ago: Cellular phones can be used to triangulate a user's position based on the distance from various cellular towers whether he wants it or not.
On Dec. 17, 2006 Dan Simon reported on missing climbers on Mt. Hood who were located by a cell phone "ping." Simon stated: "These tiny electronic signals told the rescuers so much.. It's really amazing what they were able to do with that limited data. They were able to get a latitude and longitude, very accurate ones."
Pings occur when cell phones send out a signal to the nearest tower, which then bounces back to the phone. According to eHow, "Law enforcement officials and 911 centers automatically have permission to ping cell phones." In other words, police do not need a warrant to check on anyone's location at any time.
No one should be shocked by the idea that cell phones can be used to locate a position, and anyone who agrees to carry one should expect this to occur. However, in their reach for power, the government can exploit citizens who care more for owning the newest piece of technology than exercising caution regarding what it can do.
This passive support from the American people gives the powers-that-be the excuse they need to extend the scope of their legislation. Nothing is done to protect privacy. And the government gets access to the data that they were interrogating executives about - in what looks like political grandstanding.

American Free Press May 30, 2011 Troubling Questions Arise About Obama's SS Number By Pat Shannan If the government wants to punish us for opeing offshore bank accounts, make getting passports next to impossible, get secret access to our personal records and break into our houses without warrants, then surely we have the right to know if barack Obama has been using a stolen Social security number for decades.
According to a private investigator in Ohio who claims to hold solid proof, since the 1980s, Barack H. Obama has been steadily using the Social Security number of a dead man.
In August 2009, following the initial birth certificate brouhaha, information began to surface indicating that Obama had been using multiple Social Security numbers for years. Ohio private investigator Susan Daniels began an investigation into the details. When the umber o42-68-4425 came up, the one Obama used the most even when he sat in the senate - she saw that she was on to something.
"I knew in two seconds that it was a forgery," she said. If it had come back with a California or a Hawaii address, I probably wouldn't have paid any attention, but it came up as being issued in Connecticut, and I knew he had never lived or even visited there at that time.
Her research showed that the number was first grabbed by Obama in April 1977, when he was only 15 years old. It was originally issued to a man born in France in 1890 who emigrated to the United States and became a U.S. citizen in the 1920s.
The Social Security Administration does not re-issue a number after a person's death, and it is illegal to use another's as one's own.
When Ms. Daniels checked further into the telephone records tied to this number, she discovered that they related to Obama's Washington, D.C. Senate office as well as his law office and former residence in Chicago. She believes from these and other records that Obama had been using this number continually since 1986.
Did Obama already realize at this time that he needed to legitimize his "citizenship" because he could not prove he was born in Hawaii? Had he tried unsuccessfully to obtain a Social Security number because he had no birth certificate?
"We have an imposter in the White House," she said, "an undocumented illegal alien."
Ms. Daniels has been a private investigator licensed in Ohio for 16 years and says that she would have to be "a crazy person" to go public with this information without the documented proof. She could lose her license and livelihood by reporting anything she knew not to be true.
Asked if she had learned anything about Barry Soetoro during her records search, she said that not only did his name never come up anywhere, but added, "Nobody has found any evidence that Barry Soetoro ever changed his name to Barack Obama."
Getting no satisfaction with federal authorities, a frustrated Ms. Daniels turned to the Internet and airwaves. However, she said both Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck ignored her information when she attempted to contact them.
