REPUBLICAN SENATE Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) told a group of business leaders in eastern Kentucky on Aug. 23 that cap and trade, the radical environmental program pushed by Democrats, will not be passed in this Congress, meaning the legislation is effectively "dead."
Local Kentucky news WKYT reported that McConnell made the announcement while speaking to the Pike County Chamber of Commerce on Aug. 23.
"I think cap and trade, which is also known as the national energy tax, is dead in the United States Senate," said McConnell.
Cap and trade refers to legislation being pushed mainly by Democrats that would limit carbon emissions in the United States. How it would work is that factories would be issued individual standards by federal bureaucrats, which would dictate the amount of gases each one can produce in a year. The corporation would then have to enact programs to monitor its output. Those that move quickly to reduce certain types of gases and come in under their mandated limit would be able to sell or trade the remaining levels of gases with companies that cannot.
Republicans contend that the new regulations would increase costs on companies that would lead to increased joblessness and rising prices as factories pass on the added environmental costs to consumers.

A face-to-face threat against the life of a decorated American war hero by someone claiming to be an agent for a Middle Eastern country tied to previous acts of terrorism against the U.S. should spark concern. That is, of course, unless the country from which this foreign agent hails is Israel, and the war hero is a survivor of the USS Liberty, the naval vessel attacked by the Middle East state in 1967, causing the deaths of 34 American servicemen.
This is what happened to Phillip F. Tourney, decorated war hero and survivor of Israel's premeditated attack on the USS Liberty 43 years ago. On the evening of Aug. 6, Tourney was verbally threatened by a foreign national claiming to work for the government of Israel.
Despite being subjected to threats over the years, Tourney has refused to remain silent concerning the attack on his ship and the subsequent cover-up. These threats have included middle-of-the-night phone calls where the names of his children and grandchildren have been read aloud. He has heard what sounded like guns being fired a few inches from the phone's receiver. More recently, Tourney says there were two occasions when the lug nuts on both his trucks were loosened, resulting in both vehicles being totaled in crashes.
What makes this most recent threat more ominous is that it was "up close and personal," in the lounge of a Holiday Inn in southern California.
Vacationing with his wife of 30 years, Tourney was sitting in the lounge when the seat to his right was taken by a well-dressed man speaking with an Israeli accent who wanted to strike up a conversation about—of all things—the USS Liberty. According to Tourney and his wife, the man, in his mid-40s, carried himself in a "professional" way. Within seconds of striking up a discussion, the Israeli national referred to the Liberty as "that horse transport" (the lame excuse Israel has maintained these last 43 years is "mistaking" the USS Liberty for the El Quesir, an Egyptian horse ferry one-quarter the Liberty's size).
This suggested to Tourney that his newfound "friend" was likely an official or hireling from the Israeli government.
Tourney asked the man what he did, only to be told that he was a "doctor." When Tourney challenged him to produce a business card, the smirking "doctor" said he didn't carry them. Obviously trying to get Tourney unhinged, the Israeli then discussed the June 8, 1967 butchering of 34 Americans by the government of Israel in mocking, taunting tones.
Tourney said the man—wearing an oversized watch—repeatedly put the watch directly in Tourney's face. Tourney indicated he knew that he was being taped and told the man to get the watch out of his face.
After telling Tourney that the men of the USS Liberty "got what they deserved that day," the man with the Israeli accent admitted he was not a doctor but rather an employee of the state which orchestrated the murder of the men aboard the Liberty. Tourney asked the man what he did specifically. He responded, "many things," and "I do whatever my government asks of me."
The Israeli stressed that his bosses were "not happy" with some of Tourney's recent "activities." He mentioned specifically the radio programs Tourney has either hosted or appeared on in recent years as well as the book he recently co-authored, What I Saw That Day: Israel's 1967 Holocaust of American Servicemen Aboard the USS Liberty.*
The man warned that Israel planned on putting a stop to all of this sooner rather than later. Tourney asked the man when the next war was going to start. The smirking foreign agent replied, "Soon. . . .My sources tell me, between 30 and 60 days."
Tourney then asked, "And what about me? The man responded: "You are on the same list as the Iranians."
Hearing what was taking place and experiencing for the first time the kind of threats that her husband has endured for decades, Tourney's wife decided she had heard enough.
She got up from her seat, went around her husband so she could stare eye-to-eye with her husband's would-be assailant and let loose in the way any devoted wife would. She referred to the man as the devil and told him he had no right to do what he was doing.
At this point, the discussion was attracting the attention of other patrons. As if on cue, the Israeli feigned surprise and contrition, loudly protesting with apologies, to make Tourney and his wife appear irrational and out of control. Shortly afterward, hotel security showed up, and the Tourneys left the lounge.
The FBI was contacted at two different locations, but as of
this writing, no follow-up calls have been made by either FBI
office.

Illegal aliens are often excused as they stroll across the Mexican border but "violent felons" are seized and placed in facilities where they are given dancing lessons, bingo nights and other forms of luxury living. These shocking policies were exposed by a union of border agents and by government officials who would be fired if identified.
The National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council of the American Federation of Government Employees said, in a newly released letter, that U.S. officials had "abandoned" their core mission of protecting the public and were instead supporting a political agenda promoting amnesty. The union expressed "growing dissatisfaction and concern" over the leadership of John Morton, who heads Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and assistant director Phyllis Coven.
The agency's integrity "as well as public safety" would be "better provided for in the absence of Director Morton and Assistant Director Coven," the union's letter said. It cited numerous absurdities. Among them:
* ICE detention reforms have turned into a system that provides resort-like living conditions to criminal immigrants based on recommendations by "special interest groups" and not ICE officers and field managers. Thus, hanging plants are provided along with dance lessons, bingo nights and other entertainment.
* ICE officers are prevented from searching detainees, allowing weapons, drugs and other contraband into detention centers, putting officers and contract guards at risk.
* ICE senior leadership ignores reports of misconduct by its office of professional responsibility and retaliates against whistleblowers and conceals wrongdoing.
* Criminal aliens held in state and local jails "openly brag" that they are taking advantage of the flawed system and will be back in the United States within days to commit more crimes—while U.S. citizens arrested for the same offenses serve prison sentences.
ICE's top leadership dedicated "more time to campaigning for immigration reforms aimed at large-scale amnesty legislation than advising the American public and federal lawmakers on the severity of the illegal immigration problems," the union said.
The Obama administration is "not serious about enforcing all of our immigration laws," Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Tex.) told The Washington Times. Smith is the ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee and a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security. Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer is miffed, too.
Politics is another great incentive for Democrats to protect illegal aliens. In 2000, more than 1 million illegal aliens voted in the presidential election, according to the highly respected Center for Immigration Studies, a Washington-based think tank. A coalition of Hispanic advocacy groups boasted that more than 90 percent of illegal aliens voted Democratic in the 2000 election.
Illegal votes by illegal aliens could also account for Sen. Jim Webb's (D-Va.) defeat of incumbent GOP Sen. George Allen in 2006.

"Vote early, and vote often." That saying sums up the outlook of the Chicago "political mob" that is infamous for fixing elections, from the days of Al Capone to Sam Giancana's 1960 deal with JFK to more recent times. In a new documentary, "We Will Not Be Silenced 2008," film maker and lifelong Democrat Gigi Gaston provides evidence that the Obama camp utilized an array of strong-arm tactics to manipulate the caucus process during his primary run against Hillary Clinton.
This writer began a recent interview with Ms. Gaston by stating, "After watching your film, it appears as if the DNC, mainstream media and those who oversee the electoral process decided that Obama was going to defeat Hillary come hell or high water."
Gaston responded: "I agree. They won by being brutes. One person, one vote has always been the great equalizer. But if we don't fix the system now, we're going to lose our republic. They'll control the votes for the rest of our lives."
In her documentary, Gaston focuses specifically on primary caucuses where instead of individual ballots being cast, a political party allows groups of delegates to form coalitions before deciding upon the victor. The word "caucus" is derived from an Algonquian word meaning "a gathering of tribal chiefs." Today, these chieftains are corrupt political bosses.
Gaston explained precisely how the Philadelphia Black Panther case relates to the caucus situation. "Obama's people would stand at the door of a polling place and intimidate voters wearing Hillary buttons.
Usually they targeted those who were weakest, such as the elderly, poor, blacks and Hispanics. Oftentimes they would deliberately fail to locate their names in the registration books, or send them to incorrect precincts."
Other tactics were more brutal. Gaston continued, "There are reports that one woman in a wheelchair was thrown down a flight of stairs. Obama's representatives also copied names out of phone books into the caucus logs, or destroyed Hillary's sign-in sheets."
In her film, Gaston cites Dr. Linda Hayes, a Houston, Texas precinct worker. "The Obama camp's philosophy is simple: we have the numbers; we don't have to follow your rules. So, they overwhelm the system with illegal signatures, create chaos and steal the election."
She also documents the doctoring of delegate lists, how roll call voters were pressured to support Obama, the harassment of campaign workers, and even an instance in Gary, Ind., where schoolchildren were bussed into a polling place to sign caucus sheets for Obama. In Texas, despite Hillary winning the popular vote, Obama's people played the system enough to rig the outcome and emerge victorious.
When asked if Mrs. Clinton was aware of this damning proof, Gaston replied, "I personally handed my film to her at the Democratic National Convention. I also presented it to senior advisor Ann Lewis, party activist John Siegel and the DNC's chairperson. None of them has responded to these charges."
Further, she presented this crucial evidence to MSNBC, CNN, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly—and even spoke directly with Sean Hannity during his radio show.
The only person willing to highlight this rampant corruption was Alisyn Camerota of Fox & Friends. This AFP writer asked Gaston if she felt that Chicago's criminal cabal was behind these malicious practices. "I don't have verifiable proof, but all roads point in that direction," said Ms. Gaston. "Plus, everyone in the Democratic Party who investigates voter fraud belongs to the Obama camp. Even worse, they plan on having more caucuses in 2012, which means it'll be easier to lie and pull their shenanigans. So far, not one person has been punished."
This cover-up extends to the highest levels of power. "From what I understand," Gaston elaborated, "the Department of Justice is fully aware of my allegations."
Gaston's film exposes the grotesque abuses of our electoral process, with the caucus system being comparable to tactics used in communist countries. In essence, Democratic Party chairpersons trump individual voting rights, issue threats against whistle blowers, while Obama's Chicago gangsters strong arm anyone attempting to expose their widespread voting violations.
As one Iowa eyewitness told Gaston, "When the machine is behind someone, they use every resource available to make sure that person wins." Renowned attorney Gloria Allred, who also appears on camera, provides the only viable solution. "Caucuses should be eliminated. There is no integrity in this process."

Elena Kagan was depicted as a moderate during her supreme Court confirmation hearings. In reality, her past abounds with direct connections to the same Chicago Jewish-communist cabal that mentored Barack Obama, eventually leading him to the White House in 2008.
In 1986-87, Kagan clerked for Judge Abner Mikva, who once called Obama "America's first Jewish president." Mikva also worked closely with communist Provocateur and the father of community organizing, Saul Alinsky as well as Don Rose and David Kanter, who published a communist newspaper in Chicago. These two men became tutors to David Axelrod, Obama's current senior advisor.
Later, Mikva, Kagan and Obama taught together at the University of Chicago Law School, where Mikva guided the current president's early political career. NBC's Andrew Greiner wrote on May 10, "Kagan laid the groundwork for many of her political beliefs while at the University of Chicago."
Interestingly, one of Kagan's socialist heroes is Cass Sunstein, who taught at this very same school for 27 years. Kagan later hired Sunstein during her tenure at Harvard. Today, as Obama's regulatory czar, Sunstein announced that the government should ban all "conspiracy theorizing" and "send agents to infiltrate extremist groups that supply conspiracy theories."
James Petras, author of The Power of Israel in the United States, warns of Kagan: "Another pro-Zionist advocate on the Court will provide a legal cover for the advance of Zionist-dictated authoritarianism over the American people."
Another troubling aspect of Kagan's early career was her employment as a law clerk under Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall in 1987-88. Although no from Chicago himself, Marshall became a close associate of homosexual communist poet Langston Hughes, who later had ties to the Communist Party USA with another poet named Frank Marshall Davis, an avowed communist, may be Obama's actual father.
To complete this picture, in 1960 Thurgood Marshall traveled to Kenya where he visited a labor union "freedom fighter" named Tom Mboya. Marshall soon arranged for an influx of Kenyan students to enter the United States. One of these aspiring scholars was none other than Barack Obama Sr., who traveled to Hawaii where he met Stanley Ann Dunham, the future president's mother.
Obama eventually migrated to Chicago, as did Kagan, who during
the 1960s traveled in the same circles as did domestic terrorist
bill Ayers and many others who now comprise the corrupt - and
decidedly leftist - political machine in Washington, D.C.

Hemp is a highly valuable plant that can be sed for food, fuel, clothing and paper and it has been used in industrial application ofr thousands of years. Founders George Washington and Thomas Jefferson grew hemp to make rope and other products, so why is it illegal to grow in the United States? Thank the "war on drugs" for that.
Marijuana appeals to drug users because it contains tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). But the important non-drug version called most often industrial hemp, contains less than one percent of that constituent. So why is this miracle plant grouped in with marijuana.
MANY INDUSTRIAL USES
Industrial hemp is one of the most useful plants in nature, and is grown in more than 30 countries including France, China, Canada and Great Britain. It can yield 10 tons per acre in four months, with an 80 percent cellulose content as opposed to wood's 60 percent. It is resistant to droughts and its uses are many.
Industrial hemp's seeds contain all the essential amino and fatty acids needed to maintain good health including omega-6 and omega-3, as well as iron, phosphorus, zinc, calcium, copper and manganese, and can be made into tea, milk or flour. The plant itself can be put in salads and used in organic cereals, ice cream, waffles and cake - all without the intoxicating effect.
Industrial hemp produces higher-quality paper than wood pulp, is easier to grow than trees and could help solve the world's deforestation problem.
Hemp even can be used to produce biofuels. Hemp biomass can be made into ethanol and methanol fuel. Filtered hemp oil can power a diesel engine on its own. About six percent of contiguous United States land area put into cultivation for industrial hemp could supply all current demands for oil and gas. Henry Ford grew hemp and even used it to make a "hemp car" with a body using hemp-based fiberglass. It could run on hemp oil or ethanol.
Industrial hemp can be used to make fabric, rope, soap, lotions and concrete. It can be used to prevent the growth of weeds. It can be used to purify wastewater.
If it is this valuable a commodity, why outlaw industrial hemp? It's simple: entrenched oil and paper companies could be threatened. So, America misses out on perhaps the most valuable industrial crop in the world.

Mexico's lawlessness has worsened to point where even the U.S. corporate media cannot shun the subject anymore. After a Washington Post editorial, The New York Times brought forward the issue on its front page, reporting that 51 Mexicans were murdered in Cindad Juarez just across from El Paso, Texas on the weekend of aug. 14. (More than 6,000 people have been murdered in the Juarez area recently.)
Soon thereafter, some streets on the U.S. side of the border had to be closed because of a gun battle between police and gangs 30 yards from the border. On one occasion, the city hall in El Paso was damaged by gunfire. Six Mexican federal police officers were murdered in broad daylight on April 24; Mexican mayors are executed. The list never seems to end.
Cindad Juarez was already known for frequent murders of young women that started back in 1993. The locals call it the "feminicidios" or "femicides." Depending on who you ask, up to 5,000 young women have been murdered there by mostly unknown perpetrators.
However, the "weaker sex" also is involved on the crime side of the equation. Beautiful young women are trained by the gangs in increasing numbers to carry out murders. In 1996 the city had 2,600 murders, but this year the rate is expected to increase by about 45 percent. This colossal social failure called Juarez was labeled "the city of the future" by fDI Magazine, a major financial publication from the UK. About a half-million residents disagreed with this evaluation and left town recently, abandoning 116,000 houses.
By all indications, it would be naive to think that the armies of illegal aliens coming from the south will not bring this conflict into the United states. In fact, they already have. Federal officials on the U.S. side of the border will go out of their way to avoid any conflicts and have handed over large areas along the border to the control of Mexican gangs and drug runners.
Few Americans would dare step into this violent area, but Jason T. Ready and his private U.S. Border Guard (USBG) are doing just that. Ready is patrol leader. His men ore organizing armed patrols into the hot spots that were abandoned by the U.S. government. They work in close cooperation with government agencies, including the U.S. border Patrol and ocal sheriffs in southern Arizona. The USBG is operating is operating in a void that could be filled by the U.S. military, but huge, ongoing overseas troop commitments, no-win wars and U.S. federal government indifference make that impossible.
Whenever members of the USBG encounter incoming aliens, they communicate their location to law enforcement and provide water and basic needs for the aliens until they are picked up for repatriation. Their activity is completely legal, since no laws are broken. But not all the intruders are peaceful. Many carry narcotics and guns that are used to protect their illegal cargo.
In case smugglers or other illegals open fire on Ready and
his men, they naturally have the right to defend themselves -
and they do. They too are armed and dangerous - to the illegal
invaders from Mexico.

While Israel's worst kept secret is its arsenal of nuclear weapons, on of its best kept secrets may well be its stockpile of chemical and biological agents.
When it comes to that part of its weapons of mass destruction (WMD) potential, Israel has made every effort to ensure the world knows absolutely nothing about the types of toxic and biological weapons it has developed for decades at the Israel Institute for biological Research (IIBR), which was established in 1952 and is based in Ness Ziona, south of Tel Aviv. Four years before the creation of the IIBR, Israel had already moved into the chemical and biological weapons arena by placing a biological warfare unit called the Hemed Beit within the Israel Defense Forces' (IDF) Science Corps.
Through the 1950s, with the IIDR under the direct control of the prime minister's office, chemical and biological warfare programs were set up with the knowledge, acquiescence and financial support of Washington. There were even grants from the U.S. Army to help with research carried on at the Hebrew University in conjunction with work proceeding at the Ness Ziona facility. By 1960, Israel had its own chemical weapons testing site in the country's Negev Desert and that meant tighter security over its programs.
Since the beginning, there have only been brief snippets of information about the program. In 1974, for example, there was a reference in a Senate Armed Services Committee report that Israel had an operational chemical weapons capability. That, too, did not make news. A decade later, The Economist magazine claimed Israel had advised the Chinese about chemical warfare and had amassed an arsenal of "nerve agents, including mustard gas." Once again, the claim garnered little reaction in the media.
The Soviets knew all about Israel's nerve agent capabilities because they had a spy at the very heart of the IIBR site in Nes Ziona. The spy was a Russian Jew and epidemiologist, Dr. Marcus Klingberg, who had served as a medic in the Red army in 1941. In 1948, he emigrated to Israel and joined the IDF. Within a decade, he was posted to the secret Ness Ziona facility and made its assistant scientific director.
In 1983, his luck ran out. The Mossad received information from one of its own spies within the KGB that Klingberg was a traitor. Determined not to let him escape, the Mossad told him his expertise was needed for an investigation into a fire at a chemical plant in Malaysia. They advised him to pack his bags right away. The next morning Israeli agents arrested him as he left his home with his suitcases. He was spirited out of Tel Aviv to a secret facility where e broke down and confessed after 10 days of in-depth interrogation. He was tried and found guilty of espionage in a special court and sentenced to 20 years in prison. He eventually served 16 yeas behind bars and four more under house arrest. To this day, Israel regards him as a worse traitor than Mordecai Vanunu, who presented Britain's Sunday Times newspaper in 1986 with evidence of Israel's nuclear arsenal.
Vanunu's nuclear revelations have had more widespread coverage than the fact that Israel has another secret arsenal. However, a 1990 report by U.S. defense Intelligence confirmed Israel had retained a chemical warfare testing area in the Negev Desert. The most visible confirmation of Israel's continued building of a chemical and biological arsenal was made clear when an Israeli cargo plane crashed over Amsterdam in1992. In the hold were 190 liters of a chemical used as a trigger in sarin nerve gas weapons. The plane's manifest indicated the chemical was destined for the IIBR site at Nes Ziona. The provider was an American company with an export license provided by the Defense Department.
It took Israel until 1998 to admit it was the intended recipient of the nerve gas trigger. However, it claimed the chemical had been purchased for non-military use.
In 1993, under pressure from Washington, Israel signed the
Chemical weapons Convention, but the nation has never ratified
it nor made any mention it possesses biological nerve agents.
However, in 1998, it was revealed Israeli F-16 crows were trained

A leading Bilderberg spokesman mourned that "right-wing populism is on the upswing" and is likely to destroy hopes of a world government because of increasing "hard-edged nationalism."
Charles Kupchan, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and a professor at Georgetown University in Washington, wrote his lamentations Aug. 29 in the Bilderberg-controlled Washington Post. The CFR is the public relations arm of Bilderberg and the Trilateral Commission. It produces "white papers" advocating the positions taken by Bilderberg and its brother group, the Trilateral Commission, at their secret meetings each spring.
Kupchan reflected the mood at the Bilderberg and Trilateral meetings last spring, where the global elite grieved over their numerous setbacks in recent years. "From London to Berlin to Warsaw, Europe is experiencing a renationalization of political life, with countries clawing back the sovereignty they once willingly sacrificed in pursuit of a collective ideal," Kupchan wrote in the Post. "For many Europeans, that greater good no longer seems to matter."
These trends "could compromise one of the most significant and unlikely accomplishments of the 20th century: an integrated Europe," Kupchan said. "The result could be individual nations. . . . Germany's pursuit of its national interest is crowding out its enthusiasm for the EU (European Union). . . . Even Germany's courts are putting the brakes on the EU, last year issuing a ruling that strengthened the national parliament's sway over European legislation."
This "renationalization of politics has been occurring across the EU," he said. "In Britain, May elections brought to power a coalition dominated by the Conservative Party, which is well known for its Europhobia," he added. "Right-wing populism" is a "backlash against immigration," he said. This "nationalism aims not only at minorities, but also at the loss of autonomy that accompanies political union."
He agonized that some European countries object to having their culture distorted by hordes of Third World immigrants.

SPOTLIGHT ON CONGRESS
WHEN A LIBERAL DEMOCRATIC majority took control of Congress and the notoriously anti-gun Obama administration was seated in the Executive Branch in January 2009, pro-firearms groups were understandably nervous that Washington would start rolling back Americans' Second Amendment rights. But with only a few months remaining in the 111th Congress, it's looking increasingly likely that this is not going to happen.
In fact, according to a new report, the situation is so good that some anti-gun legislators are whining that they cannot even initiate a hearing to talk about gun control, let alone shepherd a bill to the floor for a vote.
Early in the first session of the 111th Congress, AFP reported in the April 13, 2009, edition that a search of the legislative docket in Congress revealed that nearly 40 bills had been introduced in the House and the Senate—some bad, some worse—that related to guns. In a flurry of activity, just about every type of firearms bill was introduced. Gun registration legislation (H.R. 45) was sponsored by Rep. Bobby Rush (DIll.).
Even military veterans would be called upon to come forward and register their weapons under the Veterans' Heritage Firearms Act of 2009 (H.R. 442), sponsored by Rep. Denny Rehberg (R-Mt.). Here's the good news: Not one of these bills passed Congress to make its way to the White House for the president's signature. In fact, all of the bills that AFP wrote about in the early days either died in committee or were shot down by Republicans and Democrats.
According to a new report by a leading Capitol Hill newspaper, pro-gun-control legislators have become so frustrated that they are publicly complaining that gun control is not even on the Democratic leadership's radar.
Rep. Mike Quigley (D-Ill.), who took Rahm Emanuel's seat in the House, told the newspaper that it's not the Republicans who have been blocking firearms legislation. It is the Democratic leadership.
"I'm not blaming the Republicans," he said. "I'm blaming Democratic] leadership and the administration. They're in charge. It's a question of priorities."
It's so good for guns in Washington, that the notoriously anti-gun Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, which backed Obama and cheered the liberal take-over of Congress, recently gave both the White House and Congress an "F" when it comes to enacting pro-gun control measures.
Thanks to the National Rifle Association and other potent pro-Second Amendment lobbyists, Congress isn't buying any gun control, thank you.

During his Aug. 28 "Restoring Honor" rally attended by this writer in Washington, D.C., FOX News "conservative" commentator Glenn Beck told the hundreds of thousands in attendance, "Tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth." He added, "We cannot coexist with evil." Both of these platitudes sound appealing—if it weren't for the fact that Beck, as events have shown, too often does not practice what he preaches. For example, with the ninth anniversary of 9-11 this month, Beck did not tell one iota of truth that day in Washington regarding the 21st century's most grievous terror attack on U.S. soil.
Beck repeatedly tells his television and live audiences, "Boldly question everything." But not only hasn't he questioned the government's 9-11 conspiracy theory about Osama bin Laden and 19 Muslim cave-dwellers being the culprits behind that attack, he actually attacks those who boldly question that theory. An example was early this year when Beck entrapped former Texas gubernatorial candidate Debra Medina on her open-minded 9-11 views, even though 9-11 surely was not a campaign issue when Medina's poll ratings shot upward and incumbent Gov. Rick Perry appeared to be politically threatened. Beck's attack helped ruin Medina's candidacy.
While delivering his Aug. 28 address before the Lincoln Memorial, Beck urged his devotees to "forget about our past scars and look forward." However, genuinely honorable Americans cannot so easily overlook the real scars of 9-11, especially when a gigantic pit still exists at "ground zero" in southern Manhattan where the World Trade Center twin towers and WTC building 7 stood until they were destroyed that day in 2001.
This constant reminder is compounded by two other "scars" in Afghanistan and Iraq, in the form of never-ending military occupations, where the fresh blood of innocent civilians and U.S. soldiers keeps dripping. Toward the end of his D.C. speech, Beck proclaimed, "Greatness is found in doing the hard thing."
Here, he was correct. When AFP and scores of other 9-11 researchers keep trying hard to ascertain the truth about that horrifying morning nine years ago, their efforts often cause others to heap scorn, enmity and outright threats upon them.
Despite the backlash, these individuals hold firm to their convictions and principles. They're the truly "honorable" men and women—not Glenn Beck dummies. In contrast—as his avoidance of the 9-11 issue at the D.C. rally showed—Beck has taken the dishonorable path of least resistance when it comes to this subject. He either attacks or ignores those who ask even the most basic 9-11 questions.
Thus, establishing the identities of the mass murderers who orchestrated and engineered 9-11, and understanding the physical means by which the crime was carried out at three locations, is made that much more difficult to pursue in a meaningful, productive way. In this sense, Beck does not have much trouble coexisting with evil, especially when he simultaneously puts millions of dollars in his pockets from his FOX News salary.

A whistle blower has confirmed that technology capable of remotely controlling an aircraft from the ground, in addition to entirely locking out the flight crew and autopilot systems existed prior to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
On May 17, Rob Balsamo, co-founder of the group Pilots for 9-11 Truth, broke the story by interviewing avionics technician Wayne Anderson, formerly of Dalfort aviation in Texas. This writer subsequently interviewed both men on May 19 and 20 of 2010. That emerged from these sessions adds even more validity to the probability of 9-11 being some kind of an inside job.
During late 1996 into 1997, Anderson participated in tests at Dallas' Love Field airport where technicians embodied backdoor software into the avionics of Boeing aircraft. Once installed computer engineers on the ground had the ability to override the pilot and control their autopilot systems, all from an external location.
It's been common knowledge for decades that unmanned airplanes could be remotely frown. But now, Anderson has revealed that an aircraft can be programmed from the ground - via a transponder - to such an extent that when pilots disconnected the autopilot system nd circuit breakers, their aircraft could still be controlled from a remote source.
This development may explain why pilots weren't able to transmit emergency signals on 9-11. The had effectively been locked out by those with access codes on the ground to override their onboard systems.
Anderson also told Balsamo that during these tests, pilots wire unable to physically locate the remote guidance system or external power source anywhere on their control panels. Therefore, after all autopilot functions were rendered ineffective, the only way to regain control and override the backdoor software was to completely power-down the aircraft. In mid-flight, such a tactic is obviously dangerous.
Another disconcerting element to this scenario is that once a pilot's electronics are overridden, they're no longer able to communicate with air traffic controllers because their cockpit microphones, along with CVRs (cockpit voice recorders) have been bypassed by the remote-control intruders. The same applies to their emergency transponder frequencies, which are similarly neutralized.
Anderson, formerly employed by Braniff Airlines, told AFP: "The original premise for this technology was to foil a terrorist takeover. But now, pilots are vulnerable to anyone who knows how to misuse this software. That's why my superiors didn't want this information leaking out. It's not any secret that industrial espionage takes place."
When asked if ground controllers possessing the ability to
irreversibly take over an aircraft by locking out the pilots
could have been responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks, Anderson
replied, "With this software, they were capable of doing
9-11."

On the tragic morning of Sept. 11, 2001, NBC and Fox News aired live feeds from Shanksville, Pa, Where United Airlines Flight 93 purportedly crashed. Nether of these telecasts was ever shown again to the American public. The reason is obvious.
During NBC's initial report, a female newscaster broadcasting from a helicopter stated that the debris field below covered a three-to-four mile radius. Logic alone dictates that such a feat is physically impossible if a commercial airliner simply plummeted directly into the ground.
She then continued, "This is one of those cases where the pictures really do tell a story. The most horrifying aspect of this particular crash scene is how little debris is visible. There is a large crater in the ground."
The cameraman focuses on a rather small hole with absolutely nothing else in or around it. "But that's really all you see," she added. Investigators out there have found nothing larger than a phone book."
Notably, in this AFP writer's book Phantom Flight 93,* the dimensions of a Boeing 757 are listed: weight, 255,000 pounds; length, 150 feet; wingspan, 124 feet.
The second on-the-scene update came from a Fox News reporter who interviewed Pittsburgh affiliate photographer Chris Chaniki.
Chaniki: "Basically, that's right. The only thing you could see was a big gouge in the Earth and some broken trees."
Fox: "Any large pieces of debris at all?"
Chaniki: "No, there was nothing you could distinguish that a plane had crashed there."
Fox: "Smoke...fires?"
Chaniki: "Nothing. It was absolutely quiet. Nothing going on down there. No smoke, no fire."
Fox: "How big would you say that hole was?"
Chaniki: "From my estimate, I'd say it was probably 15 to 20 feet long and 10 feet wide."
Fox: "What else could you see on the ground?"
Chaniki: "You couldn't see anything except dust and ash and people walking around."
The one thing nobody saw in the ground that day was a Boeing
757 or any significant plane sections - because it wasn't there.

Is there a plan to build a super computer network so powerful "it would be like the mind of God?" Sergey Brin co-founded the Internet goliath we know as Google to "gather and organize all of the world's information" - but with the help of the military-industrial-banking complex, the CIA and the Israeli intelligence service.
The official Google legend is as follows: In 1998, Stanford graduate students Larry Page and Brin just took an interest in organizing information on the web. So, in true Silicon Valley fashion, they founded Google in a friend's garage in Menio Park, Calif.
The government's own web sites tell a slightly different story, however.
From 1994 to 1998, the National science Foundation (NSF), the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and NASA funded six digital library projects with $30 million. In 1994, one of the first NSF digital library projects was awarded to Stanford University. Two of the graduate students supported by this project - Page and Brin, funded through an NSF graduate fellowship - began exploring the use of the linkages between web pages as a basic method for what would become the Google search engine.
Taxpayers funded the research. Page and Brin decided it was time to show high-powered investors, such as Ram Shriram, the past president of Junglee and vice president of business development at Amazon.com, and Andy Bechtolsheim, the Sun Microsystems co-founder, and vice president at Cisco Systems, to see a demonstration of the system's private profit potential. They had the basic algorithms. All they needed was money to buy tons of computers and network them together as the nascent "mind of god."
Bechtolsheim was so impressed he wrote a check for $100,000 to "Google, Inc." Page and Brin had to quickly incorporate to deposit the check. Within a year Sequoia Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and other private investors pumped another $25 million into Google. But that was not the only source of start-up money.
CIA SEED MONEY
Google is "in bed" with the CIA, according to Robert David Steele, a former clandestine services case officer with the CIA and a 20-year Marine corps infantry and intelligence officer.
Google took money from the CIA when it was poor and it was starting up, and unfortunately our system right now floods money into spying and other illegal and largely unethical activities. Let me say very explicitly - their contact at the CIA is named Dr. Rick Steinheiser, he's in the CIA's Office of research and Development," said Steele.
The CIA uses front companies. In-Q-Tel (IQT) is one that "hides in plain sight" for the purpose of investing in private companies to use their technologies for government spying. In 2005, Rob Painter joined Google as senior federal manager. He came straight from the CIA's IQT, where he had been director of technology assessment.
Google acquired Keyhole, Inc - supported by the CIA's IQT - with a database of 3-D spy-in-the-sky images from all over the globe. It is used by the Pentagon for "ful-spectrum dominance" of the planet Google software, such as the popular "Google earth," provides a virtual fly-over and zoom-in with one-foot resolution. Anyone can zoom into your backyard, roof, car, church, children's school - or "case" your house from the street. When Google vans drove along streets taking pictures, they may have vacuumed up every bit of privacy you thought you had. This technology could conceivably enable the DIA to target, assassinate or bomb anyone from half-way around the planet.
Google is a key participant in many military and CIA operations involving torture, subversion of foreign governments, illegal wars of aggression, military occupations of countries which have never attacked the United States, and war crimes (which have cost hundreds of thousands of lives in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan), plus the thousands of Americans killed, injured and disabled in these endless wars.

Representative wants to know how much gold America really has.
If Washington ever decides to use gold to back the U.S. dollar, the problem remains that no one has any idea how much gold the U.S. Government possesses, let alone how much international bankers are sitting on. Now, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) wants to find out just how much of the precious metal the country actually has by introducing legislation to audit Fort Knox.
The spacious fort is home to the federal bullion depository, the facility that supposedly houses the second largest gold deposit in the United States, weighing in at 4,603 tons of gold, valued at some $173 billion. Only the privately owned, privately controlled Federal Reserve has a larger vault of gold, which weighs in at a hefty 5,000 tons.
Believe it or not, since gold was first placed in the vault at Ft. Knox in 1936, there has been no full audit performed on the facility to find out exactly how much gold is there.
For decades, stories have circulated that all of the gold was removed from Ft. Knox and either sold or hidden away by thieves.
And while the Army protects the military post, it is the Treasury Department that actually maintains and secures the inside of the depository. That means few people have actually ventured inside the building to get a glimpse of the gold.
According to reports, the last "public'" tour of Ft. Knox was in 1974, when Den. Walter Huddleston (D-Ky.) and several other legislators were paraded around the vault so they could see stacks of gold. Just how much gold was shown was anyone's guess, as those who were on the tour said rooms were opened and stacks of "gold" were displayed. Were these even the real bars of gold? The questions remain unanswered to this day.
According to one account in the 1970s, author and radio talk show host Tom Valentine, writing in the now defunct Spotlight, reported that the gold had been sold off to the Bank of England in 1968. Other reports say the Rothschild-owned Federal Reserve took all of the gold out of Ft. Knox one night, loaded it up on a train and is sitting on it to this day.
U.S. government officials have repeatedly denied that there is any funny business going on. The Treasury department cites numerous partial audits that take samples of the gold and test for purity. They also say there have been tours that show the gold is real and it is where it should be. Still, questions remain as to whether there is presently the same amount the government unconstitutionally took from Americans back in the early 1930s.
Rep Paul is not buying any of this and wants to see the proof. Paul recently told Kitco News, a financial news web site, that he is concerned that the gold is not actually at Ft. Knox anymore.
"There is a reason to be suspicious and even if you are not suspicious why wouldn't you have an audit?" he said.
Paul added that he is planning on introducing legislation that calls for a complete audit of Ft. Knox.
His goal, he said, is to encourage the use of gold and silver alongside paper currency. As the value of the dollar continues to go down, he said, interest in gold and silver is sure to go up.
What of the manipulation of the price of gold and silver on
the part of Wall Street and the U.S. government? "I think
it is probably true," he said. "You don't have to only
anticipate what the markets are doing, but you have to anticipate
what the government is doing."

Back on Dec. 11, 2006 various patriots had finalized what they called "a mock shredding of the 9/11 Commission Report" planned for Dec. 16, 2006 in front of the white House in Lafayette Park. Those at the gathering were outraged by what they called "the report's whitewash and lack of investigation into one of the greatest criminal acts on American soil," according to a 2006 news announcement at 911blogger.com.
Each perceived lie in the official 9-11 report was read out loud on Dec. 16. Then the mock report was fed into a giant shredder," described as a "fitting disposal of its findings." The event featured several speakers, including author Webster Tarpley and others skeptical of the U.S. government's official 9-11 conspiracy theory.
This late-2006 event was one of a series of events sponsored by 9-11 truth groups across the country, on the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party.
Related events took place in Boston, San Francisco, Milwaukee and St. Louis. The revealing online header to promote these events read as follows: "Boston Tea Party for 9-11 Truth Going Viral."
Organizers of these events recalled that "on Dec. 16, 1773 the Sons of Liberty said ‘no' to lack of representation and tyranny by tossing crates of British tea into Boston Harbor. On Dec. 16, 2006 modern patriots in the 9-11 truth movement will say ‘no' to creeping police-state totalitarianism, by shredding its excuse, the 9-11 Commission Report."
Thus, the tea party concept as a metaphor for rallies to express genuine dissent was at least partly linked to 9-11 in late 2006. Since then, End the Fed tea parties of various sizes have taken place in several cities. Some with that general theme are current, including the Tea Party for Sound Money in Chicago on Sept. 3, 2010.
Debbie McKee, one of AFP's best Texas contacts, phoned by this writer, lamented that the original loose confederation of tea party groups that actually practiced dissent and dealt with 9-11 truth, ending the Federal reserve System and protesting America's foreign policy of constant military interventionism abroad, have been superseded largely by FOX News acolytes.
These servile GOP boosters, many with neo-conservative, pro-war leanings, "jumped in the front of the tea party parade" and started screaming about President Obama, while voicing vague concerns about Muslims, said Ms. McKee. The entry into the scene of former Congressmen Newt Gingrich and Dick Armey was a major factor in turning the tide away from populism and toward neo-conservatism.
AFP asked what happened to the original tea party movement with the arrival of the new national tea party movement, evidently shepherded in recent months by FOX News commentator Glenn Beck. "These people are not the same people," she said.
She recalled that the tea party concept also was linked to, or adopted be, come activists in the "Campaign 4 Liberty" movement that grew out of Rep. Ron Paul's presidential bid in 2008. C4L, as it is called for short, includes calls for auditing and ending the Fed, as well as stopping foreign interventionism and reducing the size and cost of government.
The new national tea partiers, however, will have little if anything to do with non-interventionism or probing the Fed. As for a new 9-11 probe, there is little chance of progress.
One of these groups, Tea Party Nation, in early 2010 put on a huge Nashville rally, as well as one in Las Vegas in July 2010. Former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, a neo conservative like beck, spoke at both events. Notably, AFP wanted to buy a sale-promotion table at the latter event, while providing publicity. AFP was denied entry by these "freedom" advocates.
"A lot of these people watch Beck and Sean Hannity and listen to Rush Limbaugh. They think they're ‘educated' because Beck talks about the founding fathers," said Ms. McKee, who is mainly involved in End the Fed activities. "I started a tea party thing in my Area. I found a few who think my way, but not many.
Thus, a loose assortment of dissenting tea party groups was overshadowed by a larger but much more monolithic movement of U.S. flag-waving, GOP-leaning "patriots" who question "socialism" and the "Obanacare" health plan while railing against "progressives" and other broad themes. Some say they want less government, but do not recognize that the warfare-surveillance state America has become is big, bankrupt government in action. And it does not matter which party is in power. The privately owned and controlled Federal Reserve runs the government.
Dumping the Fed and getting to the bottom of 9-11 ought to appeal to a broad cross section of Americans with the economy imploding, and the overseas wars linked to 9-11 dragging on for years. Yet, ignoring the 9-11 and Fed issues is a commonality of Tea Party Nation and Beck, who professed his brand of "patriotism" at the huge Aug.28 Washington, D.C. gathering - a patriotism that prods Americans to ask questions, but avoid the issues that matter the most.
This was consistent with beck's Conservative Political Action
Conference remarks in Washington in February 2010. There, he
made some notable constitutional observations but avoided the
Fed issue, even though legislation to audit the Fed, which was
later signed into law as part of a Wall Street reform package,
was pending in congress at the time.

Mexico's plan to station its own police in Big Apple will move forward.
The government of Mexico, through its consulate in New York at the United Nations, has announced it will maintain a permanent presence in New York City's Port Richmond area "until further notice" to protect its nationals - legal and illegal - against attacks from non-Hispanic blacks.
The earlier Mexican announcement to mount patrols in the Staten Island area that was first reported on in AFP's Aug. 30 edition prompted New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to order what appears to be the most concentrated police mobilization since the World Trade Center attacks in 2001.
Despite the police mobilization, which includes huge observation towers, 130 newly assigned officers and frequent helicopter over-flights, there was a new altercation between a local resident and a Mexican immigrant whose legal status remains unpublished. Police charged 17-year-old Yashua Plair, a black male, after a 15-year-old Mexican youth alleged that Plair pulled a knife on him. Prosecutors further charged that Plair used "hate speech" during the altercation.
Since April, according to SILive.com, a Staten Island news source, the area's Hate Crimes Task Force "has investigated 11 attacks on Staten Island, most of them in the Port Richmond area involving black suspects and Mexican victims." In the last few weeks the Mexican government and New York City Hall have de-emphasized the intentions of the Mexican government to mount patrols of the area.
But neighborhood residents say that Mexican government agents are patrolling the area with cars emblazoned with large signs urging its nationals to call a special hotline, 212-217-6437, to report "hate crimes." Apparently the activity has been established for Mexican citizens, many residents say it has backfired, receiving instead dozens of angry calls from U.S. citizens nation-wide, denouncing illegal aliens and the Mexican government's actions.
Reverberations from recent community meetings are still being felt. One long-time area resident, Carol Vargas, who testified at a recent St. Phillips meeting, said: "It's not racist to ask that we all follow the same rules. I can't do what I see ‘illegals' doing every day." She, like many others present, strongly complained about "the invisibility" of elected officials and key government agencies at these public meetings.
Many present at community gatherings singled out immigration enforcement's tip line, 866-347-2423,and its local office, 646-230-3200, for their lack of activity in the face of the illegal alien flood the area has experienced.
Also coming in for sharp criticism were the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' local office, 718-650-4000; the Drug enforcement Agency's area complaint line, 212-337-3900; and New York State's alcohol-control enforcement lines, 212-961-8383 and 518-486-4761, for not responding to residents' complaints.
But one resident, who said he was a former elected official from Queens, another borough of New York City, said that the main reason that the various agencies have been able to ignore the worsening problems in Port Richmond is that not enough average, honest residents call to voice their opinions and apply pressure.
"If a storm of calls and emails were received you'd see quick changes," the resident said.
He also said the state maintains an office of alcoholism and substance abuse at 646-454-4541 and 518-457-2061 which, he said, has done little to help the area so far.
In response to growing calls that the Catholic Church get involved, New York Archbiship Timothy Dolan came to the area's St. Mary of the Assumption church to attend mass. He issued an urgent call for calm. The visit came at a time of a growing realization in New York power circles of what the continuing incidents might mean both for New York City's already shaky social fabric and international relations.
IMPLEMENTING THE NORTH AMERICAN UNION?
A recent development appears to support what several concerned citizens expressed at community meetings. Bloomberg Markets magazine in its August issue published a major article on the involvement of U.S. banks as contributors to the Mexican drug war. The article avoided several major New York banks and upper-east side Manhattan non-governmental organizations which, many patriotic American citizens say, have greatly contributed to the flow of humans out of Mexico. Several major London banks may be involved as well, citizens say, but the magazine avoided that topic, too.
Also, one major online and shortwave patriotic radio program host, after weeks of remaining silent on the growing situation, began covering this matter - on the day AFP's first story on Port Richmond appeared on AFP's web site.
In attending public gatherings, several patriotic activists expressed what has become a general observation: New York and London banks and non-governmental organizations here which have caused or greatly contributed to the situation in Mexico will allow the situation on both sides of the border to worsen to a threshold of general public outcry, when the proposed North American Union will be offered as the only "solution" for all the problems that the plutocrats have purposefully created.
Also, a series of article reprints from major sources have
begun circulating in the city, showing the danger of multiple
drug-resistant tuberculosis that is strongly associated with
Mexican illegal and legal immigration. The reports were from
The Chicago Tribune, The Journal of American Physicians and
Surgeons, the Robert Woods Johnson Medical Foundation and
the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta.

Walk through any department store and you will have no trouble noticing that most products are made in China, the principal beneficiary of the United States' so-called "Most Favored Nation" (MFN) trading status.
A country that receives MFN status - or better yet, "Permanent Most Favored Nation" (PMFN) status - pays an extremely low tariff on products sent into the United States. But this same country may charge an extremely high tariff on U.S.-made products entering it.
There was a time in the United States when there was no income tax. The government made money by charging import duties on goods entering this country. That's the way our founding fathers wanted it. This revenue plan worked just fine until the 16th Amendment, in 1913, authorized Congress to levey taxes on income. Thus, a "domestic tariff" in the form of an income tax was created that burdened the internal U.S. economy, while meaningful tariffs on imports were gradually phased out.
Now Communist China has become a menacing global superpower, commercially, culturally, monetarily and militarily.
One global newspaper that focuses on the fact that China is a Communist country that exercises raw brutality against those it deems "enemies of the state" is The Epoch Times.
The Epoch Times was founded in New York in May 2000, following the arrest of a small circle of journalists in China. Its founding mission was "to restore freedom of the press in and about China."
It is associated with the Falun Gong dissident movement in China. According to District of Columbia Human Rights Examiner Justina Uram, the House of Representatives passed House Resolution 605 in support of Falun Gong practitioners in China, who have faced years of persecution and discrimination.
As of Aug. 24, 2010 The Epoch Times reported that "79,122,750 Chinese people have announced their intentions to quit the Chinese Communist Party and or its affiliated organizations on a special website established by The Epoch Times," Many of these resignations, according to The Epoch Times, have been attributed to a book called The Niine Commentaries, which contains a series of editorials printed in The Epoch Times in November 2004 that offers a comprehensive analysis of the Communist Party's reign in China and the 80 million deaths it has caused. Many others, unable to break through the Chinese Internet blockade, have posted their withdrawal statements on poles and buildings - or even Chinese currency.
H. Res. 605 calls for an "immediate end to the campaign to persecute, intimidate, imprison, and torture Falun Gong practitioners" and "calls upon the government of the People's republic of China to immediately cease and desist from its campaign to persecute, intimidate, imprison and torture Falun Gong practitioners, to immediately abolish the extrajudicial security apparatus given the mandate to extradite Falun Gong and to immediately release Falun gong practitioners, detained solely for their beliefs, from prisons and re-education through labor camps, including those practitioners who are the relatives of U.S. citizens and permanent residents."
Another highlight of H. Res. 605 cites Amnesty International's 2008 Annual Report, which uncovered that "Falun Gong practitioners were at particularly high risk of torture and other Ill-treatment in detention during the year 2007 over 100 Falun Gong practitioners were reported to have died in detention or shortly after release as a result of torture or denial of food or medical treatment."
This resolution also cites the State Department's 2008 Human rights Report on China: "Some foreign observers estimated that Falun Gong adherents constituted at least half of the 250,000 officially recorded inmates in re-education through labor camps.
"The meditative practice of Falun Gong, centered around the ideals of truthfulness, compassion and forbearance, is strictly prohibited in China. Falun Gong practitioners, alongside Tibetan Buddhists, underground Christians, and spiritual groups, often face religious persecution in China, despite the fact that Article 36 of the Chinese Constitution provides that "citizens of the People's Republic of China shall enjoy freedom of religious belief."
There are even worse charges, however, levied against the Chinese government that officials have been involved in murdering political prisoners - even children and pregnant women - to harvest their organs which are then sold on the black market.
So the next time you are out shopping, and see that "Made
in China" mark on a product, don't buy it. If Washington
doesn't care what China does, we as taxpayers should.

Could New York City's World Trade Center (WTC) have actually been nuked on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001? The possibility of such a scenario arose during this writer's Aug. 23 interview with aerospace and chemical engineer T. Mark Hightower. As a member and petition signer of Architects and Engineers for 9-11 Truth, Hightower has studied the works of military explosives experts, investigators from Finland, the UK and Russia, along with various physicists, both named and anonymous.
While not claiming to have all the definitive answers, Hightower also doesn't fall into the category of researchers who stake out unbending "either-or" claims and refuse to budge. Rather, he remains open-minded to new developments and their analysis.
Utilizing this approach, he shared his best evidence for the use of miniature nuclear devices inside the WTC's twin towers. From Hightower's perspective, high-tech explosives known as nano-thermites and more conventional explosives could well have been used in conjunction with an even more lethal energy source to produce not only a controlled demolition, but also a veritable "China Syndrome" directly in the heart of lower Manhattan.
Hightower explained the phenomenon, which would have been similar to the Chernobyl meltdown. "If nukes were used to disintegrate the World Trade Center's immense inner core, only a small percentage actually reacted when these devices were detonated. The leftover materials subsequently continued to react, and therefore kept producing tremendous amounts of heat. This continual source of energy explains the molten steel discovered beneath ground level weeks after 9-11."
A point of contention arises over this concept. Nano-thermites may explain how the towers were pulverized in midair and largely turned to dust prior to ever impacting the ground. But the possible vaporization (as opposed to mere melting) of these massive internal metal columns required something intense, on the level of a nuclear reaction.
Some skeptics—some of them establishment supporters—question the possibility of molten steel beneath each tower, yet its existence has been confirmed by a number of people, including: journalist William Langewiesche, WTC structural designer Leslie Robertson, paramedic Lee Turner and construction company president Steve Tully, in addition to firefighters, health advisers, Air National Guard members and sanitation workers who removed the debris.
Further evidence of energy sources magnitudes beyond typical cutting charges can be found in reports from NASA and an article in GCN (Government Computer News). In the weeks and months following 9-11, both described "hot spots" that exceeded 1,300 degrees Fahrenheit. Hightower commented on their findings. "These heat signature images recorded from space couldn't be produced by simple detonations."
Another anomaly involves the numerous automobiles near ground zero that were roasted beyond recognition. Diane Sawyer of ABC News conducted an on camera interview with firemen who described cars and buses being "twisted and melted into nothing."
Although unable to arrive at irrefutable answers, Hightower weighs in on this subject. "Some have speculated that an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) caused the devastation to these vehicles. Whatever the case, the destruction resulted from much more than a common office fire."
He added in regard to unproven energy sources, "There are technologies in existence beyond anything the general public knows about."
One final suppressed news item must be considered. How can authorities explain the proliferation of respiratory disease and deaths surrounding first responders at ground zero? Sicknesses undoubtedly afflict those at any toxic cleanup site. But the rapid onset of blood and organ cancers more closely resemble those who were subjected to government radiation tests, or the tragic survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Is there any correlation between these dying workers and the phenomenon of instantaneous dust clouds, and steel being reduced to a molten state?
Hightower provided a theory: "Regular detonators and nano-thermites were potentially used as incendiary devices to cut through metal on the WTC's exterior sections. But if mini-nukes were located at the building's core and shielded from view, no one would have seen their extremely bright flashes and superheated explosions. The release was so energetic that it may have momentarily reached millions of degrees."
Imagine, it took New York City's finest a full 100 days to extinguish all the fires at ground zero. A 50-ton press in the WTC's basement wasn't found crushed; it was found melted. Ground zero chaplain Herb Trimpe may have provided the most riveting firsthand account. "The fires burned up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit underground before they actually got down to those areas and they cooled off. I talked to many contractors, and they saw trapped molten metal. Beams had totally been melted because of the heat."
Were "only" simple cutting charges and conventional explosives used, or something more ominous?

Yet to be indicted by a grand jury, a shady character named Larry Fairfax had agreed in late August to a plea bargain with federal prosecutors in exchange for his courtroom testimony against patriot-activist attorney Edgar Steele in Idaho on Nov. 1. The federal ploy was thwarted, however, when both Steele's wife, Cyndi, and her mother filed separate affidavits with the court challenging the action with claims that their lives were still in danger because an unnamed accomplice still on the loose had not been arrested.
Such a plea bargain was but a slap on the wrist for Fairfax, according to Mrs. Steele and her mother, who believe that Steele was innocent from the start. Fairfax, 49, is Steele's former handyman who claims he secretly recorded various incriminating conversations from November 2009 until June of this year when FBI agents converged on the Steele home and arrested the high-profile lawyer on charges of "murder for hire" of his wife and mother-in-law (who lives out of state).
The documents said Fairfax would plead guilty on Sept. 7, 2010 to one count of possession of an unregistered "firearm," and a count of making a "firearm" in violation of the National Firearms Act. The "firearm" in this case was a large metal pipe bomb, which was found under Cyndi Steele's vehicle during an oil change.
Both counts carry a possible 10-year prison sentence, but the final results were to remain pending until the Steele trial is over. Reports say that Fairfax has been a longtime federal informant in drug cases.
However, the motions filed by Mrs. Steele and her mother showed many flaws in the case, particularly that of the unnamed suspect still running free whom they want exposed and arrested, and the court has postponed any further decision on the matter until Oct. 7. While the 14-page plea agreement may have to be rewritten and renegotiated, its existence creates a minefield of facts and-or deception that prosecutors must now walk through while preparing any new agreement.
The documents allege that Edgar Steele also had Fairfax put a pipe bomb under Steele's own vehicle that he could set off, providing him with an alibi after the other pipe bomb exploded under his wife's vehicle. The first device did not explode, and Fairfax alleges that Steele demanded an explanation as to why the plan did not work.
Fairfax claims that he and the unidentified individual drove to Oregon to check whether the pipe bomb was still on her vehicle. They didn't see it and returned to Idaho assuming it had fallen off. Fairfax said he then removed the other device from Edgar Steele's vehicle.
Steele supporters are highly skeptical of this, wondering how the first bomb could have gotten back on Mrs. Steele's SUV after both Ed Steele and Larry Fairfax were already in jail. The logical assumption—that it was later installed by the unnamed partner traveling with Fairfax—may have forced the prosecutors into the corner of having to expose an informant that the FBI would prefer to keep undercover.
It was four days after both Steele and Fairfax had been jailed that Cyndi Steele, en route to the federal courthouse for her husband's arraignment, stopped for an oil change in Coeur d'Alene, where employees at a lube station discovered the pipe bomb. "If she had gone straight to the courthouse instead, the telescopes and mirrors at the parking lot would have discovered the bomb, and Cyndi Steele would be in jail right now," her attorney told this AMERICAN FREE PRESS writer by telephone.
In testimony during a detention hearing for Fairfax in June, it was revealed that Fairfax was the alleged hit man, and that he had cooperated as an informant who told authorities about Mr. Steele's alleged murder-for-hire plot. FBI agents testified that Fairfax wore a hidden recording device in meetings with Steele.
Steele maintains his innocence, saying that none of this plotting ever actually happened and the recordings have been created through hi-tech manipulations that have him "saying" threatening words spoken by what sounds like him. This writer has interviewed current officers and former agents who have confirmed that not only does this science exist, but that the FBI has used it in the past.
From the point of view of Mrs. Steele's legal counsel, for any new plea agreement to be acceptable to her, the FBI must first identify and arrest the unknown accomplice before the Oct. 7 hearing.

A NUMBER OF ENVIRONMENTAL bills that rely on questionable
science to force new regulations on American businesses have
already passed the House. Thankfully, they have been stalled
in the Senate. But as the elections draw nearer, Democrats could
resurrect them. No commonsense American wants to see the country's
land and waterways polluted. That's why programs effective at
cleaning up rivers, lakes, national parks and other natural resources
appeal to conservatives, liberals
and others.
The trouble often comes when conservation programs are put into the sausage making process of legislation. Often, by the time legislators and lobbyists are done with a bill, it has turned into such a "Frankenstein" that many supporters are turned into vocal critics.
The Consolidated Land, Energy and Aquatic Resources, or "Clear," Act (H.R. 3534) is a prime example of this. On July 30, the House narrowly passed the ClearAct by a vote of 209 to 193. The bill had been sold to America as a response to the oil disaster in the gulf. Americans almost universally wanted British Petroleum to clean up the mess it created. As a result, Republicans and Democrats were willing to accept new regulations that would prevent that kind of ecological disaster from happening again. But a host of additions to the bill had many one-time supporters opposing it.
According to Rep. Doc Hastings (R-Wash.), Democrats slipped in language expanding two environmental programs—the Land and Water Conservation Fund and the Historic Preservation Fund—that had nothing to do with oil spills. This illustrates why all bills, by law, should be limited to one subject, with no unrelated subjects permitted, and time set aside so legislators can actually read the bills before voting on them.
The larger of the two programs—the Land and Water Conservation Fund—is especially dangerous, critics say, because new language would authorize federal bureaucrats to buy up vast sections of private land in order to shut down ranches and private energy companies.
Nowhere in the Constitution is the central government granted the power to actually own land (other than the District of Columbia and for "needful buildings"). But that hasn't stopped the feds from using billions of dollars of Americans' money to close off U.S. lands to taxpayers. In the past, the program has not been all that effective because of congressional oversight and a lack of funding. Now Democrats want it to be automatically funded, via appropriations legislation. Taxpayers know full well what this means: It will cost you.
Another questionable provision in the bill grants the feds even more power to regulate oil and gas drilling. Ironically, says Hastings, it was the prior reports of mismanagement and corruption on the part of the government that were actually used to justify giving the feds even more power, taking oversight away from the states. Finally, even though the bill was originally created to address some offshore drilling dangers, the bill adds a host of new guidelines and regulations for oil companies that drill on land—which runs counter to the country's need for increased domestic energy production.
When the Clear Act came up for a House vote, 39 Democrats jumped ship to vote against it. These included legislators from Florida, Alabama, Texas, South Dakota and Colorado—states that are home to the ranching, drilling and mining jobs that will be most affected by this bill.
The Clear Act has been placed on the Senate calendar under what is known as "general orders," meaning it could be called to the floor for a vote at any time.

The Rev. Sun Myung Moon, 90, whose ambition is to head a theocratic
global government, is trying to buy back The Washington Times
from his son and restore it to
the complete "conservative" paper he introduced in
1982. On Aug. 23, Moonie men tentatively agreed to a deal to
buy back The Times, with 30 days to reach a final agreement.
"Father" Moon would completely restore the trimmed-back
paper.
After Moon turned the paper over to his son Justin Moon, it went into a rapid decline, with sports and local news sections being abandoned and half the staff fired. Since 2008, circulation dropped from 87,000 to 40,000. Circulation of The Times, even at its peak, was only a fraction of that of The Washington Post and other metropolitan papers, and Moon subsidized it by an estimated $2 billion. Still, The Times had been a favorite microphone for the "right wing" to express strong views on political events. Because it was read dutifully by virtually all congressmen and political leaders, it had impact.
But Moon's "conservative" pose was tactical. How many conservatives want to surrender national sovereignty to a world government? How many support a world leader who would impose a creepy "religion" on all of society? The powerful champions of world government, the Bilderberg group and the Trilateral Commission, would impose no religion and discourage all.
The senior Moon is negotiating to buy back the paper, according to U.S. News & World Report. Moon would also assume the paper's $8 million to $10 million in debt and liabilities.
In the summer of 2008, the future of The Times appeared bleak. Unification Church contributions from Japan, long a crucial source of revenue, stopped flowing to the newspaper, according to a memo by Victor Walters, treasurer of the Times' parent company. Walters refused to comment.
"We are really on the edge here," former finance chief Keith Cooperrider emailed a senior Moonie official. "This is payroll week, and we didn't get all of last week's funds yet, and this week's funds are not at all clear. Should we start closing the doors?" Cooperrider presented a list of problems, including the fact that The Times' Internet provider and health insurance bills were unpaid, as The Washington Post reported Sept. 6.
Cooperrider was instructed to contact Justin Moon, the second-oldest son. "Should TWT close their doors?" Cooperrider asked. "Has the Founder instructed that should happen?"
Former publisher Thomas McDevitt had high hopes, saying to church and Times officials in August 2009: "When The Washington Times reaches profitability, America will be resurrected. I heard that from Father directly years ago. Gentlemen, today is an historic day for which I deeply thank heaven. For the sake of this nation, and for the sake of God's providence, I pray that we choose to focus on the mission and the purpose for which The Washington Times was founded. This franchise has become a national treasure."

In July, Facebook, an "online social media network," reached the half-billion mark in membership. Are its members safe from Big Brother's snooping? Well, put yourself in the place of who we'll call Joe L., a comedian from New York whose case was reported on National Public Radio - on Sept. 11, no less.
Joe spent some $600 for an iPhone. It was a lemon. Finally, it was fixed but he was told that if it goes bad again, bring it in, and it well be replaced. The next day it died, so Joe went back to get it replaced.
"You will have to wait two hours," he was told. Two hours later, Joe asked when someone could see him. He protested. "Do you have an appointment?" the clerk asked. No one had told him he needed an appointment. After wasting his day, an unhappy Joe went home.
To cool off, he played with his computer while watching the cult movie Fight Club. To let off steam, he roughly paraphrased one of the corny scenarios from the Hollywood script and posted it to his "personal" profile on Facebook, saying something like, "Watch out for Joe. He's so ticked off that he might walk into the tore and take care of that "fruity" little clerk that gave him the runaround."
What if you posted something "politically incorrect" on Facebook? If the same thing that happened to Joe happens to you, within an hour there could be a knock on your door. Imagine you open the door and a machine gun is stuck in your face. It happened to Joe.
Four plainclothes agents, wearing black bulletproof vests, with guns drawn and wearing sunglasses - in Joe's works, "the whole none yards" - pushed their way in and started pulling out drawers, dumping everything out, and tearing things apart.
As happened to him, imagine that they bombard you with bewildering questions about "terrorism, explosives" etc. Finally, you figure it out when one of the cops asks you a question quoting words from the Facebook joke you had posted less than an hour before. The cult movie is still playing in the background. You offer to rewind it so they can hear the quote. You try to explain that it was just a jke to share with friends on your presumably "private" Facebook page.
The cops tell you, as they told Joe: "Homeland Security wants to talk to you, so we have to take you down town." As they take you out, you see they have at least two extra police cars for backup. After "good cop, bad cop interrogations, you are charged with two felonies of "terroristic threatening."
Facebook denied they tipped off the cops who arrested Joe within an hour of Joe's posting of satire on his "private" Facebook page. Some of us may believe Facebook had no knowledge of what transpired. But can we trust Facebook? AFP is continuing to probe this matter. There are court records involving Facebook that could answer that question.
In the meantime, AFP is not only warning you to defend yourself from Big Brother , but is developing strategies to counter the threat of technological tyranny.
Joe was warned he would get into even more trouble for giving several speeches about the Constitution, or explaining that if we surrender our rights to a police state, that means "terrorists have won." The government kept offering Joe deals, but joe kept demanding his right to a jury trial. Rather than give him a trial, the government has given up and told him they will forget the whole thing if he stays out of trouble for six months. Joe proved we still have rights - but only as long as we exercise them and fight for them.
Watch what you post on internet social networking sites. Most
likely they are all being monitored by Big Brother or have some
agreement to report you if you violate government imposed parameters
on speech.

The official story of what happened at the Pentagon on 9-11 falls apart at the slightest touch. There was no discernable wreckage. Even the support columns right where American Airlines Flight 77 (Registration No. N644AA) supposedly hit the building did not break. The plane is said to have rammed the building essentially at ground-floor level, yet the lawn and concrete were unscathed. There were no engines, no tail section, no luggage, no seats, no bodily remains from the plane - nothing.
The official story's absurdity and a logical examination of what really happened comprise lead investigator Craig Ranke's 2009 documentary release that is an update of his earlier film The Penta-Con. American Free Press met Ranke at New York's Cooper Union college during a 2007 conference on 9-11, and again in 2009, finding him to be a credible researcher.
Unlike the crumbling towers at New York's World trade Center, the Pentagon was not on live TV during the attacks. Ever since, the world has fixated on Manhattan's "ground zero." But the Pentagon is arguably a more compelling place to investigate. Here we have the actual nerve center of the global U.S. military allegedly struck by a commercial jetliner, without any military intervention - which by itself is unbelievable.
Yet, the American people are told that Flight 77 came screaming in at 580 miles per hour south of the Navy Annex, south of the Citgo Station and south of Columbia Pike and hit the Pentagon after having made fantastic maneuvers, then coming in level and straight at treetop level, taking out light poles along the way.
Not so, says Ranke's Citizen Investigation Team, which interviewed 13 major eyewitnesses from diverse vantage points, including three Pentagon police officers, one of whom was in the Pentagon during the event; four Arlington Cemetery employees; and, among others, heliport air traffic controller Sean Boger, who on 9-11-01 was working in his control tower at the Pentagon itself, right next to the alleged impact spot.
These witnesses all corroborated each other in separate interviews that Ranke's team conducted in2006 and 2008, while not contradicting the official testimonies most of them gave in late 2001 to the Library of Congress and the Center for Military History.
Well beyond a reasonable doubt, the thrust of the documentary is singularly profound: A commercial-type airliner did enter the area on a much different path, over the Navy Annex, north of the Citgo and north of Columbia Pike - not south of those landmarks - and nowhere near as fast as we have been told. Simply put, no plane ever hit the Pentagon; thus the airliner seen in the area could only have cleared the building and flown away.
Arlington witness William Middleton said he saw the plane clear the Navy Annex and come into his view "for 10 to 15 seconds." Boger estimated it at eight to 15 seconds. But if the federal government's claim that the jet flew in at almost 600 mph is true, it would have only taken the plane, at 781 feet per second, 3.4 seconds to get from the Navy Annex to the impact point.
The area's topography, banks of trees that obscured a view of the "impact" - and the feeling among the Arlington Cemetery employees, Boger and the other witnesses that they were going to get hit or adversely affected by the incoming plane - caused them to duck and/or run for cover. Thus, they could not see whether the explosion was caused by the plane hitting the building.
However, several witnesses in the general vicinity, such as Erik Dihle, noted, "Somebody was yelling ‘a bomb hit the Pentagon' and the jet kept going." Pentagon cop Roosevelt roberts Jr. Was inside the Pentagon's east loading dock, heard an explosion, ran out and say "a large airliner," that he called "commercial" and "silver" in color, flying low above the nearby parking lot before flying away. Later during testimony, he assumed it was a second plane, somehow believing the tale that another commercial het had hit the building first. But it was the first and only commercial plane.
A large military C-130 propeller plane was seen in the area a few minutes after the explosion, as confirmed by the pilot himself. But fideral officials later insisted that the C-130 was there at the exact time of the explosion and that Roberts say that particular plane flying away. Ranke concludes, convincingly, that a key part of this staged sophisticated military "black-op" was to confuse the situation so that anyone who say the commercial jet (not propeller plane) steer over the building and fly away could be told that they say the C-130.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has declared September "National Preparedness Month." The problem is that the government remains focused on your "preparing" for a few days, until the feds or local authorities can supposedly ride to the rescue. But in the event of a large-scale natural disaster, economic collapse, infrastructure failure or a massive attack by terrorists or other enemies, you could find yourself waiting a long time - perhaps indefinitely - before the nanny state comes to your aid. That's why it's important to prepare for a longer-term period.
In the 1990s, "preparedness: involved stockpiling quantities of MREs ("meals, ready-to-eat") and gallons of bottled water. Today, there has been a change in mindset among patriots, with a renewed focus on homesteading that involves learning to grow your own food, getting off the electricity grid and, generally, providing for yourself.
The difference is obvious. While the former called for having enough prepackaged food and water to survive a limited period of time, the latter looks to teach individuals, families - even entire neighborhoods - how they can survive on their own for a long term.
On the Internet, the renewed interest in once-lost skills is obvious. Web sites teach people simple ways to grow food, distill water and alcohol, can vegetables, raise and butcher livestock, construct solar panels and windmills - even spin wool for yarn so one can make one's own clothes.
Obviously, homesteading-style preparedness is far easier for individuals who live in rural communities. Those whose water comes from a well have a leg up on those who rely on municipal or community water. But people who live in the country face their own challenges, such as the inevitability of hungry and thirsty individuals, gangs and families showing up on their doorsteps, hoping to share the limited food, water and shelter. Be sure you are armed.
That doesn't mean it is impossible to prepare and homestead in suburban and even urban environments. Backyards, front yards, flowerbeds, even vacant lots can feed entire neighborhoods, Urban farmer Jules Dervaes has proved this by growing three tons of produce annually on his one-fifth-acre plot of land in Pasadena, Calif. The growing number of vacant lots that are being converted into community gardens is also evidence that farms can pop up right next foor to skyscrapers. Some are on rooftops.
If you live in the city and cannot grow your own food, do you have friends or family who live within a reasonable distance who could accommodate you in the event disaster may strike? Have you spoken with them about this?
If you live in the country, are you prepared to grow your own food, heat your house and distill your own water while having to fend off any thieves and potential home invaders?
Buried among its tips for surviving until the cavalry appears, the DHS does have the general key to surviving, and that is to start thinking about all of this right now, because everyone's situation is unique and everyone's needs are his own.
That, dear reader begs the ultimate question: what's your
plan?

Millions of people dodged the proverbial bullet when Hurricane Earl recently veered a few miles from the East Coast. Nevertheless, this hurricane popped up quickly, and even as a tropical depression it impacted millions with wind damage and floods.
Surprise tornadoes struck without warning in the middle of cities like Dallas.
While this was happening, 50 mile-an-hour wind gusts in Detroit swept fire through at least three neighborhoods, charring scores of homes.
Where can you go to be safe? New Zealand? Sorry, that was just rocked by a Haitian-sized quake. Why not escape to tropical Sumatra? Surprise eruptions by a long-dormant volcano sent thousands fleeing.
Check the U.S. government's latest earthquakes map. There have been quakes in places like upper New York State, Oklahoma, Washington, D.C., Arkansas and elsewhere.
Many survive such things because they are prepared for the most likely and even unlikely events. Where you live largely determines what you should prepare for. Besides preparing for natural disasters, you also need to consider biological, chemical, nuclear and radiological hazards, as well as possible political unrest resulting from the tanking economy or other unpleasant events.
In modern times there is alesser-known phenomenon that causes many more deaths than war: Democide, which is the intentional killing of an unarmed person or people by their government. It may seem remote, but it should not be dismissed, since Soviet and red Chinese authorities alone killed multi-millions of their own in the 20th century. China and North Korea still liquidate an unknown number of their citizens.
But no matter what the problem is, the things to consider include: Disaster kits (flashlights, first aid, firearms or other protection); food and water; your responsibility for the elderly and those with disabilities (medicines, wheelchairs and other aides, oxygen, etc.); helping children cope; and, among other things, maps.
Finally, you need to ask yourself, should you hunker down where you are at - or get out of Dodge. Either way, you need to make a plan and be informed long before trouble comes knocking.

you can grow fresh fruits and vegetables all year round that

Fruits and vegetables seem to be rotting faster these days, but that is not surprising. The average distance a product now travels from farm to market is growing.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the average apple purchased in a major grocery store travels 1,500 miles from the orchard to the store shelf. The average tomato is shipped 1,400 miles. Some lettuce could have spent more than a week on a truck as it was shipped over 2,000 miles from Mexico to its final destination. Ah, the "glories" of free trade.
Buying your produce from a farmers market does not guarantee you are buying locally. Unless your farmers market is what is known as "producer only," you could be buying the same produce that is sold down the street in that brick-and-mortar grocery store owned by a publicly traded multinational corporation.
There is a relatively inexpensive way to grow at least some of your own food year-round. While canning is good for most urban dwellers to preserve their summer foods, what follows mainly covers rural folks.
A simple hoop-style greenhouse, known as a "hoop house," can be constructed from most building materials. To save money, scavenge used materials from nearby construction sites, where there are usually piles of odd lumber pieces and plumbing materials. Cobble these together to create a basic frame. Check with the construction foreman or general contractor before you go "shopping."
Most house plans on the Internet call for using at least three-quarter-inch PVC plumbing pipe. The simplest method is to take 20-foot lengths of 3/4-inch PVC pipe and bend them into the shape of a half hoop. Set each end onto rebar that has been sunk into the ground on opposite sides. At this point, your "hoop" should standing upright, creating a semi-circular shape that stands a little more than six feet high. Repeat this step, adding a new hoop each time at three-foot to six-foot intervals, until you have reached the desired length of your hoop house.
Once you have completed the number of hoops you need, tie them together by running PVC pipe or one-by-four-inch hip boards on either side of the frame, about four or five feet off the ground, horizontally along the length of the frame. For a cleaner look, cut scrap pipe and add four-way connectors to tie in the horizontal supports. Some people have even used "zip ties" or wire to simply tie the horizontal supports to the hoop frame. People who get heavy snowfalls should obviously beef up the frame by adding two-by-four studs as supports at points along the hoop house.
Make sure your foundation is square and level by nailing together four pine or cedar two-by-six boards so they form a rectangle. Hammer the rebar into the ground inside this frame to make sure your foundation is square.
Most of a hoop house's expense comes from the plastic film for covering it. It's best to use proper greenhouse film, which can be bought in lengths from nurseries and large plant stores. These last for several years, depending on the quality and thickness. Peaceful Valley in California sells its 20-foot-wide plastic film for about $4 a foot.
In warmer areas of the country, it is not necessary to heat a hoo- house. But in most areas, you will need a heat source. Fresh manure works. But a kerosene heater or wood stove will suffice.

The Green Party of Canada recently passed a resolution within its ranks that seeks to end water fluoridation in Canada. The party plans to introduce and support legislation that will outlaw fluoridation in Canada at the federal level, overriding local mandates that say otherwise.
Much of North america's water is fluoridated, meaning that water utilities add hexafluorosilicic acid, Sodium silicofluoride or sodium fluoride to public water supplies. These toxic substances are said to "prevent tooth decay," but many medical and dental professionals disagree.
Unlike the element fluorine, which can occur naturally in water, the artificial fluoride added to drinking water is a toxic byproduct of the phosphate mining and manufacturing industry. Aluminum factories create fluoride waste that is used to fluoridate water.
In addition to being a dangerous poison, the Green Party initiative cites the fact that fluoride is not removed by sewage treatment plants, and that much of it ends up in lakes and rivers. The Great Lakes contain as much as 10 times the maximum safe levels established by the Canadian Water Quality Guideline standards for aquatic life, for instance.
Artificial water fluoridation is technically illegal since fluoride is a toxic chemical. At best, it is an unapproved drug by which government bureaucrats who are not MDs are unlawfully medicating the public. At worst, it is a toxic poison that is wreaking havoc on public health.
Perhaps the most damning indictment of fluoride is the fact that cavity rates are generally the same among areas that fluoridate and areas that do not fluoridate. So the purported benefits of water fluoridation are entirely unsubstantiated based on scientific evidence.
It remains to be seen whether or not the Green Party of the
United States - or any other party, for that matter - decides
to take on water fluoridation with similar legislation.

Nutritional cures exist for nearly every major disease, but the U.S. food and Drug Administration doesn't want you to know about them. So it has censored truthful, scientifically-proven information about these substances in order to keep you ignorant about nutritional cures.
When one U.S. company offering cherry concentrates began linking to government-funded studies that concluded cherries reduce arthritis symptoms, they received a threatening FDA letter that demanded they remove the links or face "criminal prosecution."
Similarly, the FDA censored the truth about walnuts, claiming that "walnuts are unapproved drugs" when they are accompanied by truthful, scientific descriptions about their benefits for heart health.
Diamond foods, a major distributor of walnuts, posted a collection of peer-reviewed scientific evidence on its website that described the health benefits of walnuts. In return, here's part of the demands Diamond Foods received from the FDA which claim that "walnuts are drugs":
Based on our review, we have concluded that your walnut products are in violation of the Federal food, Drug, and Cosmetic act and the applicable regulations in title 21, Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR). Based on claims made on your firm's website, we have determined that your walnut products are promoted for conditions that cause them to be drugs because these products are intended for use in the prevention, mitigation, and treatment of disease.
In other words, telling the truth about walnuts turns you into a criminal according to the FDA. And if you tell the scientifically validated truth about how walnuts can help reduce high cholesterol, that act magically transforms your walnuts into unapproved drugs.
Much the same is true when you're talking about green tea, pomegranates or "super-foods," as they are known. If you dare discuss the health benefits of any food or natural substance while you are selling such items, you will be branded a criminal by the FDA. Your company could be raided by the FDA with armed law enforcement agents.
But at the same time the FDA is attacking health foods, it openly allows ridiculous health claims for processed "dead" junk foods. Frito-Lay potato chips, for example, are allowed to carry claims that they are "heart healthy." so while health claims cannot be made about genuinely healthy foods, potato chips may openly carry FDA-approved health claims.
The FDA wants you to remain as ignorant as possible about the scientifically validated health benefits of natural foods, supplements and super-foods while allowing you to be swamped with false and misleading health claims for processed foods.
On Aug. 30, the FDA sent warning letters to manufacturers of green tea beverages, warning them about making health claims about green tea. One such beverage carried a claim that the drink is "enhanced with 200 mg of antioxidants from green tea and vitamin C."
In its threatening warning letter, the FDA insisted that green tea and vitamin C "are not nutrients with recognized antioxidant activity."
Vitamin C isn't an antioxidant? Well, outside the halls of the FDA offices, vitamin C has antioxidant activity and properties. By the FDA's thinking, "vitamins are inert substances. Foods contain no medicinal properties. Only pharmaceuticals have biological effects within the human body."
The FDA's official position says there is no such thing as a food, nutrient or supplement that can prevent or treat any disease.
The FDA decrees: Vitamin C doesn't prevent scurvy. Vitamin
D doesn't prevent rickets. Vitamin B3 doesn't prevent pellagra.
Vitamins are biologically useless substances unless thy're patented
by drug companies in which case they are magically transformed
into "therapeutic chemicals" that mey be sold to patients
at monopoly prices.

What does it really mean when a product has the word "organic"
on it, or when an entire package is labeled "organic"?
"Organic" refers to the way foods are produced and
handled.
Food labels that include the word "organic" mean the food was produced without the use of conventional synthetic pesticides, fungicides, petroleum-based fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetic engineering or irradiation. When the word "organic" is listed on meat, poultry eggs and dairy product packaging, it means the animal received no antibiotics or hormones or they were fed organic feed containing no animal by-products.
An organic label also means animals had access to the outdoors, though "access" is not specifically defined. There is currently no United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) organic standard for seafood. Salt and water are not included in organic labeling requirements.
The USDA's National Organic Program (NOP) is responsible for the regulation of standards for any farm, wild crop harvesting or handling operation that wants to sell an agricultural product as organically produced in order to qualify as organic, a food product must be grown and processed using organic farming methods that recycle resources and promote biodiversity
The USDA regulates the word's use. In order to legally use the term "organic" on a food label, the producer or grower must receive specific product certification by a USDA-accredited certifier. Any person who knowingly labels or sells a product that is non-organic yet listed as "organic" can be fined as much as $11,000 for each violation.
Labeling requirements are based on the percentage of organic ingredients in a product. A product labeled "100 percent organic" and those labeled "organic" or "made with organic ingredients" have different definitions:
* 100 percent organic: these products contain only organically produced ingredients and processing aids. By law they can display the "USDA Orgainc" seal.
* Organic: this term on a label means that these products contain at least 95 percent organically produced ingredients. The remaining ingredients must be non-agricultural substances that are approved by the NOP. Use of the"USDA Organic" seal guarantees that at least 95 percent of the food's ingredients are organic.
* Made with organic ingredients: Food packaging must contain at least 70 percent organic ingredients. They may list up to three of these ingredients on the front of the packaging. These products may not legally use the USDA "Organic seal."
* Additional: In products that have less than 70 percent organic ingredients, those that are organic can be specified as such on the information panel of the packaging.
Single-ingredient: Products such as fruits and vegetables my have a small sticker with code numbers like this that indicate how the produce was grown:
* Five digits, starting with nine - produce was grown organically.
* Four digits, stating with three or four - produce was grown conventionally.
* Five digits, starting with eight - produce was genetically modified.
Organic certification does no necessarily mean the food is completely absent of synthetic substances, only that those used must be from an NOP-approved list.
The above-stated labeling laws are for all foods sold in the United States, whether grown here or in another country.
Check with your local farmers market for specific details
about their products. The produce is often grown locally, yet
not necessarily organically.

People are fatter than ever before. Conventional doctors are largely silent. Children, especially, are being diagnosed in increasing numbers with obesity, acid reflux and depression. By the time they reach puberty, most American children are addicted to soda, junk and fast foods. The resulting nutritional deficiencies are making kids fat, sick and emotionally unstable. Only naturopathic doctors are pointing out that parents need to feed their children much better and stop stuffing them full of harmful chemicals and excessive sugar.
In the United States alone, between 1976 and 2004, the rate of severely obese children tripled to 2.7 million. Currently, nearly one out of five kids is obese. Several million more are overweight. \\food has changed greatly over the decades. Genetically-modified (GM) food is a more recent factor. While a full explanation of GM foods is beyond this article's scope, the genetic modification of seeds has effects that are only dimly understood. The group SayNoToGMOs.org notes:
"GM soya is in about 60 percent of all processed food as vegetable oil, soy flour, lecithin and soy protein. GM maize is in about 50 percent of processed foods as corn, corn starch, corn flour and corn syrup.
Government regulations on labeling exclude 95-98 percent of the products containing GM ingredients because they ignore derivatives.
Furthermore, just one daily soda increases a child's risk of obesity by 60 percent. Ninety percent of preschoolers drink this "sugar water" daily, with four out of ten drinking at least three daily sodas.
A McDonald's "Happy Meal" is highly processed food that contains nearly all of a kid's recommended daily calorie intake but almost zero usable nutrients. Three out of 10 kids eat at least one fast meal daily.
An American Journal of Psychiatry study showed that
eight year olds low on zinc, iron and B vitamins show 40 percent
more aggressive behavior than those without deficiencies. And
17 year olds lacking these nutrients were 50 percent more violent
and had antisocial behaviors.

Jack LaLanne turns 96 this month and looks better than some people half his age. He's got one rule of thumb: "If man made it, don't eat it." Nutrition and digestive adviser sherry Brescia tells us about eight common food ingredients that should be labeled with the skull and crossbones because "they will make you permanently horizontal and without a pulse long before you should be."
These foods are so harmful that eating and drinking them on a regular basis will chop years off your life, guaranteeing that the years you have left will be filled with sickness, disease and probable obesity. Just as surely as our health cannot be trusted to government, politicians, drug companies and insurance companies, we cannot trust the big food manufacturers either. They create their concoctions to make money. And they know that if it tastes good, people will buy and eat it.
Here are Ms. Brescia's "evil eight":
1) Soda: Any soda, diet or regular, is so acidic that it takes 32 cups of water to neutralize the acid from just one can of soda in your body. Your body also uses its own alkaline minerals (calcium from your bones and magnesium from your muscles) to neutralize the acid. Eventually this can lead to osteoporosis, weak muscles and tooth decay, as well as brittle, porous bones that fracture easily. And, of course, the diet drinks are even more dangerous because of the next item.
2) Artificial sweeteners: Simply put, such sweeteners are poisons. The list of the documented side effects of aspartame (N-[L-alpha-Aspartyl]-L-phenylalanine, l-methyl ester), known by the brand names Equal or Nutrasweet) can fill this whole page, but the most serious include blindness, seizures, dizziness, memory loss, depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, nausea, diarrhea, bith defects, irreversible brain damage and even death.
After these negative effects were publicized, mostly via the Internet, a new product, Splenda (comprised of the chlorinated artificial sweetener sucralose [1,6-Dichloro-1,6-dideoxy-beta-D-fructofuranosyl-4-chloro–4-deoxy-alpha-D-galactopyranoside', and the fillers maltodextrin and glucose), was sold to the world as a viable alternative. Even though this product contains no aspartame, it is no better than the other artificial sweeteners. It is not derived from sugar, as the manufacturer once claimed, and produces similar chemical reactions in the body as Aspertame.
Notably, a truly sweet alternative, stevia (Stevia rebayduaba), grows naturally in south America and has been used for centuries. It has a proven track record as a safe, non-calorie sweetener.
3) High fructose corn syrup (HFCS): In addition to being directly associated with kidney disease, raised insulin levels and obesity, it has been discovered that HFCS us aksi depositing mercury into our brains and nervous system. It has been linked to fertility problems, memory and vision loss and blood-pressure disruptions. It can cause chronic fatigue and neuromuscular dysfunction. Mercury exposure has also been linked to autism, heart disease, Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis. The problem is that HFCS is found in just about every type of product on the market, including sports drinks, ketchup, salad dressings, cough medicines, jellies and jams, yogurt, ice cream, cereals, snack chips, candies, syrups, non-dairy whipped topping, granola bars, packaged cakes, cookies and pastries.
4) Hydrogenated oils: Hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils contain trans-fatty acids. These are fats that are not found in nature, and your body cannot metabolized them. Instead, they just accumulate, clogging arteries and causing inflammation, cell damage and heart attacks. These had fats are found in deep-fried foods, margarine, baked goods, powdered and artificial coffee creamers and most processed (packaged) foods.
5) Nitrite-cured meats: Cured meats made with sodium nitrite include hotdogs, lunch meats, bacon, ham and corned beef. Nitrite can be converted into nitrosamines, potent cancer-causing chemicals, in your body. The primary types of cancers associated with nitrosamine consumption are colorectal, stomach and pancreatic. Another study showed processed meats increased the risk of pancreatic cancer, the deadliest of all cancers, by 67 percent.
6) Processed foods: These include all packaged foods (in boxes, cans, jars, bags or frozen cartons) that contain ingredients other than a basic food. Although the appeal behind them is convenience and indefinite shelf life, they are extremely unhealthy and loaded with chemicals and preservatives your body was never meant to ingest. Besides the chemicals they contain, processed foods are harmful to one's health because they provide no nourishment, then use up loads of digestive energy while turning to nothing but waste, adding to the body's toxicity. Because these "empty" calories provide no nutrients, we can eat a whole bag of chips and b e hungry only an hour later. It's a recipe for obesity.
7) Farmed fish: Farmed fish are crammed into little pens and fed things they were never meant to ingest such as soy, poultry litter and even processed chicken feathers. As a result, farmed fish is generally lower in vitamin D than fresh caught and higher in contaminants such as carcinogens, PCBs and pesticides. Rule of thumb: Eat wild-caught fish, hot farm-raised.
8) Municipal tap water: All water is not created equal. Since
our bodies are alkaline, our water must be alkaline, too. Thanks
mainly to the chemicals added by municipalities, that's not always
a given. Unfiltered public tap water, unlike well water, is acidic
and contains the harmful toxins fluoride and chlorine. Avoid
tap water, including water fountains, no matter what you read
in the news or hear from local officials.
