World leaders are implementing Bilderberg international strategies.
Two goals of the Bilderberg group, dicidedat the internationalists' latest meeting in Burgenstock, Switzerland are:
* Establishment of a world superfund to remove the economic risks to international financiers who invest in poor countries to profit from slave wages, the absence of government-imposed fringe benefits and cheap real estate; and
* Getting British Prime Minister John Major out of office or back in line-fully supporting complete ploitical integration of Europe.
World leaders at the economic summit of the seven industrialized nations were responding directly to instructions from Bilderberg when the group called-in a communique written before the leaders even gathered in Halifax, Canada-for an "emergency financing mechanism."
The "mechanism" would double poor nations' borrowing power from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to $50 billion. The collapse of the Mexican peso was the oft-cited reason for the international bankruptcy fund.
Bilderberg's demands, as called for in the G-7 communique, will be officially adopted when the IMF's 178 member states meet in Washington in September.
CLINTON IN LOCKSTEP
President Clinton, himself an Bilderberg member, will insist that the action will not touch American taxpayers. But the United States guarantees 20 percent of what member states take out in "special drawing rights" and the other 177 nations put up the rest.
Using the IMF has an historic ring. In May 1983, meeting in Montebello, Quebec, Bilderberg extracted a secret pledge from {resident Ronald Reagan for $50 billion to be sent to Third World and communist countries over eight years (SPOTLIGHT, May 30, 1983.)
That pledge was more than kept. It became known to the public as the "Brady Plan." Then as now, the IMF was the conduiit for shipping American tax dollars to uncreditworthy nations to protect the immensely profitable risk-free investments of international financiers.
The Bilderberg problem with Major has not only an historical ring but a paradox.
Bilderberg engineered the downfall of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (SPOTLIGHT May 29, 1989) because she resisted totally surrendering British sovereignty to the European Union-and now Major is in the gunsights for the same reason.
Until recent months, Major performed as a Bilderberg lapdog. He couldn't move Britain into the European Union far enough and fast enough.
Establishing a European Union, American Union (NAFTA evolving) and an Asian-Pacific Union is critical to the bilderberg goal of dividing the world into three great regions to be administered by a global government. The European Union is the cornerstone of the tripartite program.
But the rising tide of nationalism in the United States has crossed the Atlantic and patriots in Britain oppose further entanglement with the European Union, specifically, the proposed common currency.
Backbenchers are shouting their disapproval.
Under this pressure, Major, chosen by Bildergerb to champion the surrender of Britain into the superstate, has backed up. He now says Britain may never agree to a common currency, which whould be the ultimate surrender of sovereignty.
So the Bilderberg that made Jajor is the Bilderberg now ready
to unmake him. History often repeats itself, but mankind rarely
learns from it.

The Establishment media will let when you know when you're allowed to know something and what you're allowed to know about it.
A computer search shows the news blackout of the recent Bilderberg meeting in Burgenstock, Switzerland was complete in the United States.
Not a word appeared in the Washington Post, New York Times or Los Angeles Times, although all have high officials who attend regularly. Katharine Graham, publisher of the Post, usually attends but was not on Bilderberg's secret list this year.
The Nexus computer search showed no Establishment newspaper had mentioned the Bilderberg or Trilateral meetings. During the last week of May, newspapers all across the country ran a wire story about how the Trilaterals were wonderful and anyone thinking ill of them must have a problem. All were aware of the Bilderberg meeting, having been advised in advance by The SPOTLIGHT in a special mailing.
However, in Europe, newspapers and broadcasters, warned in advance by SPOTLIGHT readers, were all over the Bilderberg meeting. SPOTLIGHT reporter Jim Tucker was interviewed by numerous newspapers, radio and TV crews.
Associated Press (AP) studiously avoids mentioning Bilderberg because its biggest paying clients-the metropolitan newspapers- want silence on the issue.
(AP rates are based on circulation, so a big city daily pays many times as much as a small town newspaper.)
SPIKED IN U.S.
But this year, the Associated Press bureau in Switzerland picked up on the story, not having heard the orders from New York and Washington.
The Swiss AP Bureau described how "world leaders...120 members of the business and political elite" held "four days of secret meetings."
A "massive police presence protected participants with further army backup." AP reported, naming some of the luminaries attending.
Although the AP story ran at some length in Europe, it was
spiked in the United States.

A "helpful" federal agency now has its own army for use "internally or externally."
The U.S. Army Reserve Command (USARC) will be totally integrated into a new plan by September 1996, which will relegate it to control by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
FEMA was established under President Jimmy Carter, by executive order, to have virtual dictatorial powers over the people of the United States during any "national emergency" as declared by the president.
During the early days of the Clinton administration the plan was altered somewhat to place FEMA under the control of the National Security Council and the president's national security adviser, a post currently held by Anthony Lake.
According to headquarters of USARC, the plan will reorganize its structure "in a move that will enhance its ability to support domestic missions and improve its readiness to go to war.
"An important feature of the plan is that it will permit the Army Reserve to provide greatly enhanced federal military support to civilian authorities and other federal agencies for domestic assistance missions. The Regional Support Command boundaries coincide with the Standard Federal Region (SFR) boundaries used by all federal agencies, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency."
According to documents obtained from Army Reserve sources in Texas, the following explanation of the new Regional Support commands, under FEMA, was provided to reservists as follows:
"You may have heard the expression that once a railroad train comes through your living room, it will never be the same again. A train has passed through the living room of the U.S. Army Reserve structure and it will never be the same again."
In a Texas reserves briefing paper describing the "impact" of the new alignment, it was stated "reservist will become to FEMA what National Guardsmen are to state governors."
In other words, the reserves will serve at the direction of FEMA as the National Guards of the various states are supposed to serve at the direction of the governors.
In what appears to be an indication of dissension within the Army Reserve, at least in Texas, individual reservists have been advised to "Pay close attention to what you hear in the next few months. Position yourself to take advantage of opportunities as they arise. Only you can decide if the new Army Reserves will be compatible with the goals you have set for yourself."
FEMA IN CHARGE
According to an explanation of the realignment reported by the headquarters of USARC, under the new plan 20 U.S. Army Reserve Commands (ARCOMs) will now be reporting directly to ARCOM headquarters, and three Regional Support Groups (RSGs) will report to the Regional support Commands, configured within the ten FEMA boundaries.
From its strength of 319,000 soldiers in 1989, the Army Reserves will be reduced to 208,000 by 1998.
Sources in Texas told The SPOTLIGHT there has already been an announced reduction of 20,000 combat ready reserve troops and an additional 50,000 combat ready reservists will soon be added to the "hit list."
According to ARCOM headquarters, the plan is "aimed to
transform the Army Reserve, not into a smaller version of the
Cold War force, but into a new Army Reserve, able to provide fully
ready units for America's Army of the next century and to provides
greatly enhanced capability in support of domestic actions...
FEMA Regions are also Standard Federal Region boundaries. All
federal agencies use these boundaries except for DOD (Department
of Defense).
This alignment allows the USAR to use our combat support and combat
service support capabilities to support domestic missions and
add intrinsic value to the Administration's domestic agenda..."
According to Army Reserve sources in texas, the reorganized
reserves "will give he nation a new level of capabilities
for Military Support to Civilian Authorities. By establishing
regionally based and focused assets to compliment existing structure,
FEMA compliment existing structure, FEMA will have regional planners
and managers to assist in domestic support missions. The plan
aligns the Army Reserve with current administration commitment
for an Army that can address this country's needs both externally
and internally in the form of domestic support when called upon.

Explosive new evidence indicates there is much more to the story of the strange death in 1993 of White House counsel Vince foster. This evidence confirms a basis for a report, first published in The SPOTLIGHT on September 6, 1993, that there may indeed be high-level international connections to Foster's reputed suicide.
During the five year period prior to his death, Vince Foster, the life-long friend of President bill Clinton and a Little rock legal partner of first lady Hillary Clinton, engaged in secretive international travels, including at least two hush-hush overnight trips to Geneva, Switzerland and one trip to Turkish Kurdistan.
Foster's trips were purchased at a special airline discount available only to senior government officials or to contract operatives doing work for the federal government called "executive fares."
Needless to say, however, Foster's trips (utilizing these special fares) took place at a time when Foster was publicly posturing as a n attorney in private practice in Little Rock.
The Sunday Telegraph of London reported on May 21 there was a "Secret Swiss link to White House death," noting "Foster's travels have never come under scrutiny before" and "his trips abroad have come as a total surprise to his family."
The Telegraph reported records show that:
Foster bought a ticket to Switzerland on November 1, 1991-
during the early phase of the Clinton presidential bid-traveling
on American Airlines from little Rock to Paris with a connection
to Geneva on Swiss Air. The return flight was booked for November
3, giving him less than one full day on the ground in
Switzerland.
A year later he did exactly the same thing, darting in and out of the country. On November 7, 1992-during the presidential transition period-he brought a ticket from Little Rock to Geneva, via Paris, returning on November 9.
Finally, on July 1, 1993, he purchased a ticket through the White House Travel Office from Washington to Geneva on TWA and Swiss Air, reimbursing the White House from his personal American Express card. But he never made the trip and was refunded by Swiss Air on July 8.
Twelve days later he was found dead in a Virginia park next to the residence of the Saudi ambassador...Independent experts have described the crime scene as a textbook case of a murder made to look like a suicide.
These are only a sample of his flights, not the full picture.
On December 20, 1988, for example, he flew to Batman in remote
Turkish Kurdistan...Sources close to the Foster family say that
his widow, Lisa, was not aware of any trips he made to
Switzerland, which suggests that he was not engaged in any routine
work for the Rose Law Firm.
The Telegraph also revealed another significant fact that has not been mentioned in the American media.
The lead prosecutor handling the death of Foster, Miquel Rodriguez, resigned in March. Sources say he quit because he felt that certain members of Special Whitewater Prosecutor Kenneth Starr team were more interested in covering up discrepancies than finding out what really happened, and were merely going through the motions of an investigation. The staff team counters that his resignation was largely the result of a character clash.
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that Rodriguez was unable to call key witnesses before the grand jury. The paper said he had also lost confidence in the FBI, which appeared to be sweeping crucial evidence under the carpet. For example, the FBI had discarded a set of crucial crime scene photographs, deeming them unusable. Rodriguez turned to a private firm, which had no difficulty enhancing the photos.
According to the Telegraph: "Rodriguez cannot be dismissed as a right-wing prosecutor with an axe to grind. He is a liberal by background and rose to his current position as assistant U.S. attorney in Sacramento after working as a civil rights lawyer."
The Telegraph concluded its report by commenting: "It is astonishing that the American media has made so little of his resignation. If a lead prosecutor during the Watergate scandal had departed in such circumstances, it would have been headline news. What is it about the death of Vince Foster," asks the Telegraph, that has caused every investigation to recoil?...One can deduce that the temperature must be very hot indeed."
Here are a number of questions which arise as a consequence of the Sunday Telegraph report:
* Was Foster a CIA operative? Evidence suggests Bill Clinton, Foster's lifelong friend, was himself recruited his childhood friend into CIA service during the period Clinton was serving as governor of Arkansas-or even earlier?
The SPOTLIGHT reported as early as August 16, 1993 there was evidence that Clinton, during his college days at Oxford, while ostensibly an activist in the Anti-Vietnam War movement and its international connections.
On September 27, 1993 The SPOTLIGHT reiterated its explosive allegations about the president's long history with the CIA.
Clinton's fellow Rhodes Scholar and college friend, Strobe Talbott, now a high-level Clinton State Department appointee, is known to have played a key role in the CIA's acquisition of the Khruschev papers.
Later, according to a number of sources, then-Gov. Clinton
was knee-deep in CIA-orchestrated arms-and-guns smuggling and
money- laundering intrigues conducted through Arkansas financial
institutions, state government-sponsored lending agencies and
through the tiny airport at Mena, Arkansas.
Mena appears to have been a major supply line for the CIA's infamous covert Iran-contra operations. Was Foster involved in some way in these activities?
The SPOTLIGHT was one of the first national publications to have outlined Clinton's role in the Mena scandal as early as August 31, 1992, during the 1992 presidential campaign. It was not until recently that the Establishment media began focusing on the Mena affair.
* What connection did Foster have to Hillary Clinton's little known (but thoroughly documented) ties to the Jackson Stephens financial empire of Little Rock.
Stephens' empire-along with Mrs. Clinton-has been linked to the BCCI banking scandal and the so-called Iraqgate affair, involving high-level U.S. government and big-bank funding of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's war machine?
As The SPOTLIGHT noted in its March 2, 1992 issue, during Clinton's democratic presidential primary effort, Stephens' BCCI- connected Worthen Bank extended a $2 million line of credit to the campaign during a critical period when Clinton's campaign was in dire need of cash. The cash infusion brought the campaign back on even keel.
Clinton's primary opponent, former California Gov. Jerry Brown, made an effort to bring the Stephens-BCCI connection into the public forum, but the Establishment media pointedly refused to acknowledge Brown's allegations about Clinton's controversial backers.
AT the time only The SPOTLIGHT, among the national media, reported on Clinton's BCCI connection.
Then, in its December 6, 1993 issue The SPOTLIGHT noted a possible connection between Foster's strange death and the BCCI affair and Iraq-gate,
The published transcript of an interview of Chicago-based investigator Sherman Skolnick, conducted by Tom Valentine, host of Radio Free America, The SPOTLIGHT's call-in talk forum, Skolnick contains the following:
"It was just disclosed on November 1, 1993, in the Chicago Tribune that on July 17 the CIA was involved in pushing forward a plot to assassinate Saddam Hussein at a function in Iraq. That plot was interred with, according to an English journalist source for the Tribune. Somebody high up in the government - perhaps the president himself - interfered and saved Saddam from being assassinated by the CIA.
"My sources in Washington say Vince Foster...was planning to talk to the president about this planned assault on Saddam; it was evidently Foster's concern that if the president didn't intervene he would be subject to charges that could lead to his impeachment...
"Just as that plot was aborted, apparently be the White House, they removed the head of the FBI, William Sessions, who was evidently investigation something related to both former President George Bush and Clinton in the BCCI scandal...and this plot to assassinate Saddam Hussein which the White House aborted.
"A natural question is: Why did the White House abort that plot? Well, Saddam has a half-brother in Geneva who has said that if Saddam is assassinated by the CIA he will release bank records showing Saddam had private, non-governmental business deals with George Bush. It appears...that there is an overlap between Saddam's business deals with Bush and with the affairs of the Clintons..The Clintons, Bush and Saddam-to put it in simple terms- are all effectively business partners.
"Vince Foster was apparently going to advise Clinton that if he didn't know anything about it he had better do something about it before people found out. There is a relationship between all of these things: the removal of Sessions from office, the aborted CIA plot against Saddam and the murder of Foster.
In light of Skolnick's allegations, there are two things worthy of recall:
* It was the Clinton Justice Department that decided, arbitrarily,
that there was nothing of any substance to
allegations relating to the Republican era Iraq-gate scandal (which
Skolnick and others say implicates Bill and Hillary
Clinton through the BCCI affair).
* Vince foster, as noted in the Sunday Telegraph expose referenced earlier, made trips to Geneva where Saddam Hussein's half-brother maintains residence.
All of this taken together, in light of the recent revelations
regarding Vince Foster's strange death, suggests there is much
more to the story than meets the eye-and it's something that the
establishment media in America is loathe to touch.

The government is lying to you-and ill veterans-about Gulf War Syndrome.
Some 50,000 U.S. servicemen who served in the Middle East during Operation Desert Storm, are suffering from maladies resulting from exposure to chemical and biological warfare weapons, despite government claims to the contrary.
And worse, it has been determined that a laboratory-produced microorganism, responsible for much of the suffering of the American GIs, is being passed to their children and others who come in contact with them.
In a joint statement, Dr. Garth L. Nicolson, and his wife, Dr. Nancy L. Nicolson, have isolated a laboratory "engineered" microorganism, Mycoplasma fermentans (incognitus strain), which is the cause of much of the suffering of the U.S. servicemen.
Nicolson is professor and chairman of the Department of Tumor Biology at the world's largest cancer facility, the University of Texas' M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Nancy L. Nicolson is president of the Rhoden Foundation for Biomedical Research, also in Houston.
Garth L. Nicolson, who has published more than 400 scientific papers, edited 13 books and serves as the editor or associate editor of 13 scientific and medical journals, has revealed that the "mycoplasma that we have found in Desert Storm vets has very unusual retroviral DNA sequences; thus in all probability it was 'engineered' and did not evolve naturally."
His wife has written that the cause of the American
servicemen's suffering is the result of the development, illegal
testing on inmates at a Texas correctional facility and the sale
and transfer of the microorganism to the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission
prior to the Gulf war.
Since the microorganism was in all likelihood illegally developed and tested in the United States and then illegally sold and transferred to Iraq prior to the Gulf War, it is believed a major effort is underway by the Clinton administration to conceal these findings, according to the Niclosons.
POSSIBLE CURE
The pair of scientists also claim to have developed a means of treatment.
After working with hundreds of GIs exposed to both chemical and biological weapons used by the forces of Iraqi strongman Saddam Hussein during the war, the researchers have determined that thousands of U.S. servicemen are dying now from lingering ailments resulting from the deadly chemical and biological warfare agents that were used against them.
"We have possibly uncovered one of the messiest controversies and coverups since Watergate," Garth Nicolson revealed in a lengthy letter written to retired U.S. Army Chaplain Col. James Ammerman of Dallas, Texas. "This one makes Watergate seem like a tea party."
Ammerman put The SPOTLIGHT in ouch with the Niclosons. The SPOTLIGHT has obtained a copy of that letter.
Referring to Mycoplasma incognitus, Garth Nicolson explained this particular mycoplasma, and possibly others, is "a common pathogen in Desert Storm illnesses."
Nicolson said the U.S. government has stifled their efforts to reveal their findings, other than a brief paper published earlier this year in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
"Since I have been working on Desert Storm health issues,"
he explained, "I have encountered numerous attempts to prevent
us from continuing our work on Gulf War Illnesses (GWI). I have
suffered attempts to block my papers and journal articles from
publication, my grant applications have been tampered with, and
my mail, phones and fax have been repeatedly intercepted."
In a lengthy interview with The SPOTLIGHT, Mrs. Nicolson said
she is certain their efforts are being stifled due to business
links that current or former high government officials have with
U.S. firms that have developed chemical and biological warfare
(CBW) agents. She mentioned specifically former President George
W. Bush, former Secretary of State James A. Baker III and current
CIA Director John Deutch.
UNDER PRESSURE
"Administrators at my own institution, who are close personal
friends of James A. Baker III," Garth Nicolson said, have
also attempted to discredit me as a scientist and prevent us
administratively from working on GWI. In addition, they have attacked
academic colleagues who come to our defense in the name of academic
freedom.
"For example," Nicolson continued, "I was called
to a meeting with our institutional president and his four vice
presidents, where they attempted to prevent or limit our access
to facilities and materials necessary to conduct research on GWI
or collect data on soldiers who are ill. They also indicated that
I cannot be involved in any professional or public discussion
of our research without first having a special committee appointed
by the administration review the contents of such research. (This
is the first time that such a tactic has ever been used in the
history of my institution.)...Obviously, this is a gross distortion
of academic freedom and a crude attempt to prevent us from
continuing our research and discussing it publicly.
"The reason for such highly unusual events," he explained
in his letter to Ammerman, "is probably due to the fact that
former President Bush and former Sec. Of State James Baker, as
well as the president of UTMDACC (the Anderson Cancer Center),
have financial interests in the local biotechnology companies
that we strongly suspect were selling illegal biological weapons
to Iraq that were subsequently used against our soldiers in Desert
Storm.
"In addition, we have been visited at our hospital by armed
Defense Intelligence agents and warned not to continue our research.
THOUSANDS `TURNED AWAY'
"At the moment," Nicolson continued, "thousands
of very sick soldiers and their family members are being turned
away from military and VA hospitals without any treatment for
their
conditions and are being branded as mentally ill. We strongly
suspect that this is being done to protect a few individuals that
were involved in the decisions to pursue the development of CBW,
even though the U.S. is signatory to international treaties banning
the development and deployment of biological weapons."
Mrs. Nicolson told The SPOTLIGHT it is estimated that at least 250,000 Iraqi soldiers have died as a result of exposure to chemical and biological weapons obtained by Hussein's regime and that an additional million are currently ill.
She revealed a real shocker, indicating that even Hussein himself, as well as his family, are afflicted, including a cousin, whom she said has sought help from them.
Her husband stated the Nicolsons "suspect that tens of
thousands of our Desert Storm veterans and their immediate family
members are being refused medical treatment to hide the possible
origin and use of biological weapons during the Gulf War."
He cited the case of an Army nurse who contracted GWI while assigned
to a graves registration unit during the hostilities. She is currently
the sole survivor of the 17 members of her unit.
"She has severe GWI, is partially paralyzed, has multiple chemical sensitivities (which complicate treatment) and has the mycoplasmic infection. All of the other 16 members of her unit are dead from what we suspect were infectious diseases...
"These (graves registration) units had to deal with the
registration and disposal of thousands of dead U.S. soldiers (not
the 148 claimed) who were, we strongly suspect, exposed to CBW,"
he added. "But since Mr. John Deutch (then deputy secretary
of defense) declared that no chemical or biological weapons wee
used during Desert Storm, the actual number of Gulf War deaths
has been hidden."

Who would know about Bilderberg power better than a former world leader who ran afoul of the elite internationalists?
Margaret Thatcher both denounced and ridiculed Bilderberg-the sinister international powermongers who orchestrated her downfall (SPOTLIGHT, May 29, 1989) as prime minister of Britain-in a private talk with this newspaper.
"It is an honor to be denounced by Bilderberg," Lady Thatcher said. "Anyone who would surrender the sovereignty of their country..."her voice trailed of as she shook her head in disgust.
"They are a stuck up set," Lady Thatcher added.
She appeared optimistic, however, that Bilderberg would fail in its goal of establishing a world government by 2002.
"They said `nationhood should be suppressed,' but there will never be a New World Order," Lady Thatcher said.
Lady Thatcher's comments were made privately to this reporter and another guest at a reception prior to a speech to a full house at the National Press Club in Washington.
Bilderberg used its influence to dump Lady Thatcher because she resisted surrendering all British sovereignty to the European Union, a critical step in its plan to establish a would government.
UNFORGIVING
Bilderberg is now dumping her successor, John Major, who had slavishly fought to surrender British sovereignty, but, under pressure from patriots in his own party, suggested Britain may never go along with the common currency plan. He has effectively recanted, but Bilderberg is unforgiving.
In her formal address, Lady Thatcher denounced the European Union (EU) as a "superstate."
"I reject the notion that we should affectively cease to govern ourselves." Lady Thatcher said.
She denounced the proposed common currency even as EU leaders were meeting in Cannes, France to set up a 1999 deadline for monetary integration.
EMPIRES COLLAPSE
In Cannes, they decided that each nation would call the new
currency by its traditional name with the prefix "Euro"-
Europound, Eurofranc,etc.
Lady Thatcher warned against "passing on more powers to a Brussels bureaucracy" and a "European court that can overrule our country" and those who would "destroy nationhood and national sovereignty."
It is wrong to "create one nation from 15 countries speaking
13 languages," Lady Thatcher said. "The European superstate
is an empire and empires collapse."

Developments in Britain follow a pattern established by the Bilderbergs.
When John Major resigned as head of the Conservative Party, placing himself in position to be ousted as prime minister of Britain on July 4, it stunned the world but came as no surprise to Bilderberg-or The SPOTLIGHT.
Bilderberg had called for Major's political scalp less than two weeks earlier in Burgenstock, Switzerland (SPOTLIGHT, July 3) because he appeared to be growing soft in his commitment to surrendering all British sovereignty to the European Union.
For years, Major was Bilderberg's tool. Britain could not be swallowed into the European Union (EU) fast enough. But the new wave of nationalism that swept the United States in this past year crossed the Atlantic, and many in parliament became "Euro- rebels."
Under pressure from British patriots, including many in parliament and Mrs. Thatcher, Major tried to walk a tight rope- satisfying Bilderberg while pacifying supporters who want to retain sovereignty. The rope broke.
Even as Bilderberg was gathering atop Burgenstock Mountain, Major was saying that Britain is unprepared to join in the European common currency be the year 2000 and that "the time may never be right."
This position brought some applause by "Euro-rebels," because abandoning national currency in exchange for a new European Union currency is one of the last great acts of surrendering national sovereignty.
That was enough for Bilderberg. The world shadow government cut his political tight rope and Major is tumbling down. Unless Tories bote him back in as party leader by secret ballot July 4, Major must resign as prime minister.
In any event, Britain must hold an election in 1997, as his poll numbers are at a record low.
Major tried to grab the dangling rope and climb back into Bilderberg arms when Mrs. Thatcher and other Conservative Party "Euro-rebels" pressured him for a declaration that Britain would never adopt the common currency. He refused.
Bilderberg threw the rope back, and Major is bound for oblivion.
Bilderberg made him and, despite his years as a
faithful lap dog, Bilderberg is unmaking him.
Creating a European Union that is complete, without boundaries, where member states are referred to by name only as geographical references, is critical to Bilderberg's plan for a world government.
Europe is the first tier of the world government's tripod.
Next, the American Union encompassing North and South America
rises from NAFTA and GATT followed by the Asian-Pacific Union.
With the world divided into three great regions for administrative
convenience, the United Nations is to become a de jure, rather
than a de facto, global government a la George Orwell's 1984.

Looking for criminal connections to the Oklahoma City bombing? Look to Bill Clinton's home state.
There are at least two links between accused bomber Timothy McVeigh and Arkansas in the case of the April 19 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.
Investigators believe the 1977 Mercury Marquis, which McVeigh was driving when picked up by Oklahoma State Trooper Charles Hanger shortly after the blast, was registered in Arkansas.
Hanger stopped McVeigh for speeding and for operating the yellow Mercury without a license plate on the rear of the vehicle.
McVeigh purchased the dilapidated sedan on or about April 13 in Junction City, Kansas, trading in a 1983 station wagon and paying $250 in cash.
Hanger has revealed that when he stopped McVeigh, the accused bombing suspect mentioned an inspection sticker on the windshield. It was determined the car had been registered in Arkansas.
The trooper said McVeigh told him McVeigh was in the process of moving to Arkansas and was on his way to retrieve his belongings when stopped.
However, a spokesman for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said information about the Arkansas inspection sticker being found on the vehicle was not filed with the police record of the incident.
Even more mysterious, court officials in Noble County,
Oklahoma, were McVeigh was stopped, said the paperwork on the
traffic stop, which would routinely be filed at the court house
in Perry, the county seat, was never made a part of the court's
records.
Noble County Assistant District Attorney Mark Gibson has refused to discuss inquiries about McVeigh's arrest on traffic charges and for carrying a concealed weapon-a 9 millimeter Glock pistol.
The FBI in Oklahoma City has refused to release any information on the Mercury, including license numbers that trace it to Arkansas. The bureau has impounded the car at an undisclosed location.
"It's part of the investigation," FBI spokesman Walt Lamar told the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, published in Little Rock, "and we're not going to start releasing bits and pieces of the investigation."
If that's the case, it's one of the few details of the case that has not been leaked either by the FBI or the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which is apparently being used as a conduit to the Establishment media by federal authorities investigating the bombing.
STRANGE ROBBERY
McVeigh and his fellow defendant in the bombing case, Terry Nichols of Herington, Kansas, have been-apparently erroneously- linked to a strange robbery last November 5 at a private home in Royal, Arkansas. The accused bombers are alleged to have stolen nearly $60,000 worth of items, including 50 firearms and gold and silver coins.
The FBI has tried to keep the Arkansas robbery a secret, but it is another key element of the case that has not been leaked.
However, as a result of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by the Detroit Free Press, following Nichols's arraignment, a Michigan court ordered details of the arraignment be released to the newspaper.
The Free Press has more than a casual interest in the case since both Terry Nichols and his brother James, who is facing explosive charges other than for the Oklahoma City bombing, are from Michigan. Attempts have been made to link both brothers, as well as McVeigh, to Michigan militia groups.
The Detroit paper filed the FOIA request after being barred from Terry Nichols' hearing, which was held in secret before a federal magistrate in Detroit.
The paper's request was stymied, in part, once it discovered the recording had been mysteriously erased. The court ordered release of documents connected with the secret hearing led to the disclosure of the Royal, Arkansas, robbery.
The FBI apparently linked McVeigh and Nichols to the robbery after discovering a key to a safety deposit box rented by the robbery victim while searching Nichols' home in Kansas.
The FBI quickly moved in, demanding details of the robbery be edited from a report on the robbery on file with the Garland County (Arkansas) sheriff's office in Hot Springs. Among details of the report that were revised was the identity of the victim.
Garland County Sheriff Larry Selig said he agreed to alter
the robbery report after discussing it with the county's prosecuting
attorney, Paul Bosson. He said the FBI and that's the last we
have heard of It," Selig said. "We haven't asked for
any
information.
"We've got an investigation in which we're trying to save a man's life," he added. "If his name gets out, he's a dead man."
In any case, FBI efforts to keep a lid on the robbery details have not accomplished very much. Published accounts in Arkansas have named the victim as Roger E. Moore, who resides with his wife, Carol, at 6435 Albert Pike Road in Royal.
USED ALIASES
However, The SPOTLIGHT has learned from contacts in Arkansas that the Moores have, for reasons as yet unknown, used the aliases of Robert and Karen Anderson and Bob and Karen Miller.
Requests made to the FBI as to the couple's using aliases resulted in the comment, "We cant impart that information due to the on-going investigations."
The home is virtually out of sight from the road, hidden behind trees and a security fence with "No Trespassing" signs posted about every 100 yards. A locked metal gate blocks the driveway to the house.
Moore has reportedly requested authorities to arrest anyone intruding on the property.
In an affidavit given by FBI Agent Arthur Baker, obtained through the Free Press FOIA request, the federal agent states:
"The owner (Moore) did not have a complete list of serial
numbers of the guns, but he did have a description of the
weapons. Although he filed a police report of the robbery, the
owner did not file an insurance claim. The owner believes that
Timothy McVeigh may have been involved in the robbery, in that
he had visited the owner on several occasions and was familiar
with the gun collection."
Why an insurance claim was not filed for reported losses of
nearly $60,000 in cash and property is another mystery
surrounding the case.
According to the revised version of the robbery report at the sheriff's department, a masked man, dressed in camouflaged clothing, confronted Moore at the back door of the home in broad daylight, forced him inside at the point of a shotgun and bound him with duct and plastic restraints. He then supposedly asked, "Where is the Money?" In a subsequent interview, Moore said McVeigh was not a robber.
The report at one point suggests a second assailant may have been involved in the robbery.
An expensive Minolta cameras, a red box filled with precious stones and a cigar box filled with 40 to 50 pieces of pre- Colombian jade were listed as stolen.
The list also included military vibration detectors, which
could be used to "trigger" bomb detonators, more than
$8,700 in cash, more than $4,000 in silver and gold commemorative
coins, a JVC video camera, and 50 rifles, shotguns and pistols,
along with telescopic sights and other gun related items.

The Oklahoma City "single truck bomb" theory doesn't wash with a military weapons expert.
At least one explosives expert has concluded the Oklahoma City bombing was an inside job, caused in part by demolition charges placed at column bases inside the federal building.
Gen. Ben Partin, an Air Force retiree with 25 years of
experience in research, design, testing and management of weapons
development, revealed his detailed technical analysis at a press
conference in Washington, D.C. on June 15.
"The damage pattern on the reinforced concrete superstructure could not possibly have been attained from the single truck bomb without supplementing demolition charges at some of the reinforced column bases," he said.
The total incompatibility with a single truck bomb, Partin said, lies in the fact that either some of the columns collapsed that should not have collapsed or some of the columns still were standing that should have collapsed and did not.
I am concerned that vital evidence will soon be forever destroyed with the pending demolition of the federal building," warned Partin in a May 17 letter to Sen. Don Nickles (R-Okla.).
Although copies of the letter were sent to 24 other senators
and 34 representatives, the remains of the building were
demolished.
Partin said he believes a separate and independent assessment and careful examination should have been made of the collapsed column bases before the building was demolished.
When Partin first saw the pictures of the bomb's asymmetrical damage to the federal building, he said his immediate reaction was that the pattern of damage would have been technically impossible without supplementing demolition charges at some of the reinforced concrete column bases-a standard demolition technique.
He explained:
* Blast through air is a very inefficient energy coupling mechanism against heavy reinforced concrete beams and columns.
* Blast damage potential initially falls off more rapidly than
an inverse function of the distance cubed. That is why in
conventional weapons development, one seeks accuracy over yield
for hard targets. Columns in large buildings are hard targets
for blast.
* The entire building in Oklahoma City could have been
collapsed with relatively small demolition charges against the
base of the columns and with even less explosives if linear cavity
cutting charges had been used.
If the bomb attack was desired to do more than deface the building, he reasons, then inside help or loose security may have permitted placement of charges.
"If they can have an Aldrich Ames in CIA counterintelligence,
why can't they have someone if needed in Oklahoma City?"
he asked. "The payoff to the leftist, internationalist,
implementation of a 'world commonwealth of independent states'
as a prelude to the 'withering away of he state' would merit highest
level planning and implementation of the Oklahoma City bombing
if it could result in new legislation to criminalize the patriotic
support of Constitutional rights."

The incident at 9:02 am on April 19 in Oklahoma city was the crime of the century, quite possibly the worst crime in U.S. history, the second holocaust committed under the Clinton administration, according to Ted Gunderson and Anthony Hilder in Reichstag '95: An American Holocaust.
The deaths and injuries at the federal building were only part of the horror.
Civil libertarians are terrified Congress, stampeded by President Bill Clinton, is using the incident to pass the so-called Anti-Terrorist Act to abolish many of your remaining rights.
Was this another day if infamy as when Franklin Roosevelt set
up the U.S. Navy in Pearl Harbor? Was the Clintonista regime
responsible for this mass murder?
Clinton would have you believe radio talk show hosts and the state militias are to blame for the blast. But who benefit?
Gunderson, who once headed up a branch of the FBI with 700 employees, and Hilder, of Radio Free World, mince no words in warning you of the Brave New World to come.
Gunderson is well known to readers of The SPOTLIGHT for his theory about the size and nature of the primary blast. He also claims the so-called "fertilizer bomb" is a myth promoted by the Establishment.
According to Gunderson, there were actually two detonations, 10 seconds apart, at Oklahoma City, and three highly sophisticated bombs, one of which, fortunately, was a dud.
These bombs were of a type that would only be available to the federal government.
The incident, in Gunderson's considered opinion, was planned as a means t destroy the U.S. Constitution.
Bizarre facts about Timothy "Lee Harvey" McVeigh and John Doe Mo. 2 are discussed. If McVeigh was smart enough t orchestrate the destruction of the federal building, why was he so foolish as to drive away from the crime scene in a car that had no license plate? And when stopped by a state trooper, why did he allow himself to be arrested?
Gunderson and Hilder wonder why, if he had just murdered hundreds of people with a bomb, did he not shoot the officer and make good his escape.
The evidence indicates McVeigh is some sort of patsy, a "Manchurian candidate," say Gunderson and Hilder.
The initial story put forth by the regime was that the building was destroyed by and Automobile bomb, containing 1,000 pounds of ammonium nitrate fertilizer. Then it became, in rapid succession, a pickup truck, a panel truck and a 24 foot yellow Ryder rental truck like that allegedly used in the World Trade Center bombing. The 1,000 pounds of explosives became, in turn, 1,000 pounds, 2,000 pounds, 2,500 and 4,800 pounds.
If you were the regime and wanted to set McVeigh up, you would have him set off small bombs on a farm and make sure the neighbors knew. You would have him join a militia.
Another story the regime put out was that McVeigh and John Doe Mo. 2 were soldiers who were absent without leave. Yet if they knew this, why did they not know the identity of John Doe No. 2? Why wasn't an all points bulletin put out on Doe?
Everything points in the same direction, says Gunderson, such as H.R. 666, which would purport to allow law enforcement officers to come in and search your house without a search warrant, and the Omnibus Crime Act, which allows the federal government to do indiscriminate wiretapping of whole neighborhoods at a time.
Other legislation was prepared, immediately after the Oklahoma City incident, that would allow the president to determine, single- handedly, who a "terrorist" is.
Eighty new prisons are being built around the country to house some 1,400 prisoners each, Gunderson says.
Hilder shows how Time magazine, a creation of the secretive Skull and Bones Society, uses subliminal photo trickery to mislead its readers about the Christian Coalition, making its leader, Ralph Reed, resemble a portrait of Adolf Hitler in order to demonize Christians.
Don't waste your time on Establishment propaganda such as Time, Hilder recommends, but read The SPOTLIGHT and listen to talk radio.
This wide-ranging, timely video is as frightening as it is
educational. It will open a lot of eyes and make a lot of pieces
fall into place for those who want to understand what is happening
to the one-time "Land of the Free."

A "paranoid" patriot fires back at the Establishment and their media toadies.
Once again, American patriots find themselves under attack from "Big Brother." A bomb explodes in Oklahoma City, and after blaming the Arab "usual suspects," the controlled press points it's gnarled finger at the American militia movement.
In reality, the bombing was probably planned by the FBI, the BATF or even the CIA. All of these agencies have a well-documented history of violent excesses, Treachery and trying to frame innocent Americans.
If one questions how our own government could murder 168 mostly innocent souls, all one has to do is look at the chronology of illegal acts committed against Blameless Americans over the last 20 years.
In 1977, American patriot, Posse Comitatus member and tax resister Gordon Kahl had the nerve to stand up to the IRS and FBI agents. He paid for his "temerity" with his life.
Since then, Many other Americans have been killed "resisting arrest," disappeared or committed suicide by hanging themselves in a jail dell with a piece of dental floss, or maybe an industrial strength cobweb, or something else equally implausible.
In recent years, this government sanctioned terror has become much worse. In 1992, Vicki Weaver, wife of Randy Weaver, was cruelly murdered by FBI sharpshooter Lon Horiuchi as she stood holding her 10 month old baby at Ruby Ridge, Idaho.
WHOOPS?
The following year, more than 80 men, women and children were incinerated at Waco, Texas, in a fire which many people think was started accidentally or on prupose by BATF agents.
Now we hear former President George Bush has resigned his life time membership in the National Rifle Association because NRA spokesman Wayne LaPierre called BATF agents "jack booted thugs."
Assuming these non-ID-carrying, ski masked intruders don't burst into people's homes wearing tutus and Air Jordans, carrying tennis rackets, what would Mr. Bush have us call them?
In a recent appearance on 60 Minutes, President Clinton spoke of "violent people trying to steal our American way of life," and "right wing talk show hosts" using language that would incite "fragile" people to commit violent acts.
Clinton could just as well have been talking to himself in the mirror when he made these remarks. It was the constant attacks on our precious Constitution, especially the Second Amendment, the equal protection clause, property rights and our national sovereignty which clearly created the climate that led to the Oklahoma tragedy.
Combined with the non-stop attacks on White males in the guise of affirmative action, insane bilingual job requirements and the false depictions of White males on television and in movies produced by Hollyweird culture distorters, these accumulated attacks may have been more than some could endure. There is a conspiracy to force Americans into a Global Plantation.
PEJORATIVE LABELS
The controlled media tries to discredit patriots with judgmental labels. The reason for this is clear. The shadow government considers the militia movement and populist publications like The SPOTLIGHT to be the only obstacle barring their way to total dominance.
The one world crowd knows that if they can neutralize the patriot movement, America will quickly fall. And as America goes, so goes the world. Fundamental to the success of the international plotters is the total economical subjugation of Whites, the thinning of our numbers and the need to make us lose all hope.
The evil rationale behind this strategy is that White males deprived of meaningful work, and the chance to make a living, will refuse to father children or to even marry.
The dark forces engineering this world catastrophe know that
Whites are for more reproductively responsible than other races.
Rather than see their own children suffer from economic
deprivation, they will simply refuse to have any children.
Another means of accomplishing the genocide of the European American race is by denying us medical care. Perfect examples of this are the medical services promised to veterans, especially Vietnam veterans, and then never delivered.
Needles to say, poor quality medical care, limited medical care and an inability to communicate with one's doctor increases premature mortality. And, by keeping the survivors to sick to work, the economic and therefore political power of Whites is diminished.
Last, but not least, is the power that one wields by causing others to feel hopeless. When militia members and anyone else with eyes look around, and sees a lack of opportunity, justice, rights and of Constitutional government, they lose hope.
Hopeless people, and people who feel victimized, tend to produce less, and to urge the same for others. This, of course, leads to the army or minority enforcers that the federal jack booted thugs prefer anyway.
Why aren't Americans pooling their money and buying or starting
their own major dailies and television networks to compete with
the controlled media? and how strong are our patriotic deep cover
military and feds who may have to join with the militias of free
men and women to save our country and our freedom in the Second
American Revolution?

The government's "leaky" Oklahoma bombing probe is bungling on.
With charges from a defense attorney in the Oklahoma City bombing case that "one abuse has bred another-the government claims the right to inquire at leisure and leak at will"-the federal probe of the tragedy, which took the lives of 168 persons, seems at a virtual standstill.
Michael Tigar. attorney for Terry Nichols, who along with Timothy
McVeigh has been arrested for the bombing, is seeking a hearing
to determine the extent of what he describes as
"government misconduct."
Tigar says a myriad of leaks and efforts by federal officials to prevent witnesses from cooperating with defense attorneys has hindered justice.
An example of the blatant misuse of leaks was well illustrated on the June 21 broadcast of the NBC television news magazine Dateline, in which critics of the government's handling of the case and cover-up of the facts behind the devastating explosion were thoroughly trashed.
EFFORT TO DISCREDIT
An NBC crew taped an interview with Michael Riconosciuto, the inventor of the sophisticated bomb, which he and retired FBI Special Agent Ted L. Gunderson say was the true cause of the blast-not a simple mixture of fertilizer and fuel oil (SPOTLIGHT, May 22).
Near the end of the session, the NBC interviewer brought forth a report of a mental examination given Riconosciuto when he was a juvenile. The report, which indicated that the bomb expert had emotional problems, had been expunged-removed from official proceedings-by the court.
The report has since been determined by competent authorities to be erroneous.
Nevertheless, someone had "leaked" the report to NBC in an effort to discredit Riconosciuto, which is not only unethical but illegal since at the time the record was expunged it was, by order of the court, supposed to cease to exist.
In his presentation to the court seeking a hearing on the government's conduct, Tigar asked the judge in the case to order that the defense be given "all material provided by the government to the media" at the same time the media receives it.
"The leaks are timed and spaced to poison the well of justice in every potential venue from Michigan, to Kansas, to Nevada, to Oklahoma," Tigar charged.
ILLUSIVE JOHN DOE
Meanwhile, FBI agents are supposedly still searching for a man whom they believe helped rent a Ryder truck in Kansas, which they contend carried the 4,800 pound fertilizer and fuel oil bomb to the Oklahoma City building.
The FBI has cleared the man depicted in sketches they provided to the media and described as John Doe No. 2, whom they have now identified as Army Pvt. Todd Bunting, a soldier at Fort Riley, Kansas.
Ironically, however, NBC, while preparing its Dateline
trashing of the government's critics, was totally ignoring the
startling revelations turned up by its Oklahoma City affiliate,
KFOR.
Reporters for KFOR have supposedly located and filmed a former Iraqi soldier, who is believed to have immigrated to the United States after Operation Desert Storm, when the U.S. government spent millions to relocate Iraqis here who did not want to be repatriated to Iraq.
The relocation project reportedly cost U.S. taxpayers about $25,000 to $30,000 each and involved hundreds of Iraqi soldiers captured during the war.
The reporters have interviewed several witnesses in and around downtown Oklahoma ''''''city, who have identified the Iraqi, including the reported tattoo, as the depicted John Doe No. 2.
Witnesses claim to have seen John Doe No. 2 with McVeigh at several locations just before the bombing.
The man, whom KFOR has taped, was last identified after the bombing by a woman who claims he was the driver of a brown pickup truck that almost struck her while she was crossing a street in downtown Oklahoma City.
GAVE FBI FACTS
KFOR, which has presented all of its findings to the FBI, also asked bureau spokesmen about an all points bulletin the bureau sent out immediately following the bombing.
In spite of these revelations by their affiliate in Oklahoma City, the NBC national new staff continues to ignore the story.
At this point, the Justice Department still, by its own admission, does not know the identity of the mastermind(s) behind the plot. Apparently Justice does not have sufficient evidence for solid indictments of either McVeigh or Nichols. The government has requested a delay until August 7 to return indictments against the men.
Currently, final preparations are being made to present a 93
page report on the Oklahoma City bombing prepared by retired FBI
Special Agent Ted Gunderson, and internationally recognized expert
on counter terrorism, as evidence to the Senate subcommittee,
chaired by Sen. Arien Specter (R-Pa.).

In a stunning geopolitical development, two ancient enemies have agreed to patch up their differences in the fact of greater danger from the Israel-America Axis.
Iran and Iraq, hereditary foes for thousands of years, have reached an understanding of nonaggression, friendship and mutual support in the event of military attack.

On of the major influences which finally convinced the leaders of the two countries that they could not establish a friendly relationship with the United States was the 1992 speech by Martin Indyk to the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), an offshoot of the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee. In this secret speech, Indyk, now the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, former director of the WINEP and member of the National Security Council, told his audience his plans to control the Mideast for Israel.
The speech was ignored by all American media except The SPOTLIGHT, but it was translated into Arabic and published widely in Arab newspapers.
The new pact with Iran represents for Iraq the end of trade sanctions imposed by the Israeli-American planners.
It also represents a cornucopia of profitable trade for France, Russia, Turkey, Japan and China. Another significant aspect to the de facto pact is that the leaders of these nations have been kept abreast of the negotiations between the two countries and show by their support they are willing to figuratively thumb their noses at the Israeli-Americans in order to take advantage of the vast commercial and strategic advantages and opportunities the new alliance presents.
For America, the new alliance and its profound geopolitical consequences are the payoff of decades of a potentially bankrupt internationalist foreign policy-a policy now as visibly bankrupt as the U.S. itself. It constitutes a tragedy for America even as it has brought incredible profits to the corrupt super-rich elite who mis-govern America.
Alone among the media, only The SPOTLIGHT has consistently advocated nonintervention in the affairs of other nations, a policy first enunciated by the Founding Fathers of the United States in order to avoid the inevitable calamities that a policy of intervention into the problems of the world would bring.
In the face of this development the next move is up to Israel-
America and could involve a military attack on Iran and Iraq by
a desperate Clinton administration, although this scenario would,
in the long run, bring more problems to the White House than it
would solve.

Secret Bilderberg policy plans-once thought chiseled in stone- are being challenged internally.
New details on the intimate discussions-and occasional disputes-among the principal figures at last month's tightly guarded Bilderberg conclave (see this and previous issues) are beginning to leak out among participants and their aides who have returned from the hush-hush gathering to their offices in the world's capitals.
Some of the planning sessions at the secluded Swiss mountaintop assembly involved strategic blueprints designated by code words familiar only to top insiders and small groups of expert advisers, sources have revealed.
One such secret policy plan, known only as "TRAFTA" (Transatlantic Free Trade Area), turned out to be the scheduled follow up-and culmination-to NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement.
TRAFTA is designed to create the ultimate one-world "free trade" union by merging the U.S. and its NAFTA allies with the 15-nation European Union. It will turn North America and western Europe into a single economic condominium under the international financiers who already call themselves, in private, "masters of the universe."
The designation TRAFTA was reportedly coined last year by Dr. Susan Kaufmann, the senior official of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in charge of promoting NAFTA. After the infamous pact, which has subsequently wrecked the economy of Mexico and fomented revolution there, was ratified, she attended a victory dinner in New York with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and other Establishment luminaries.
ENTHUSIASTIC SUPPORT
"John Major, the British prime minister, was one of the honored guests at the banquet," recounted British news editor Colin McAndrews, a veteran Bilderberg watcher. "The after-dinner conversation was about plans for extending NAFTA into a global domain by merging it with the EU (European Union)."
On being told that the CFR's blueprints for this one-world merger had been tagged TRAFTA, by Dr Kaufmann, Prime Minister Major was enthusiastic and announced that his government would study the plan under the same code name.
But at last month's Bilderberg meeting, European participants raised sharp questions about the real impact of NAFTA, and about Dr. Kaufmann's role in promoting it.
They noted that the sudden collapse of the Mexican economy has prompted the Clinton administration to "commandeer" the resources of the International Monetary Fund for staging "a disreputable and devious bank bailout in Mexico{ that may end up profiting only "Wall Street speculators."
Dr. Kaufmann was identified as the author of a CFR study which praised Carlos Salinas, then Mexico's president, as a "dramatically" successful and respectable economic reformer whose government had richly earned the "confidence of foreign investors."
In late 1993, as the debate over ratifying NAFTA approached its climax, the Kaufmann report extolling the Salinas regime was circulated to a number of 'bilderberg members under the personal sponsorship of David Rockefeller, The SPOTLIGHT has learned exclusively.
Now that Mexico is bankrupt, former President Salinas has fled Mexico as a wanted narcotics fugitive, and the IMF has been forced by U.S. pressure to hand over some $18 billion-by far the largest single payout in its entire history-to a flock of fraudulent Mexican financiers, the Bilderberg assembly's policy planning session for TRAFTA turned into a heated debate.
"A number of participants questioned the credibility and even the veracity of experts who issued deceptive economic studies under the auspices of Rockefeller and Kissinger," related McAndrews. The future of TRAFTA, despite President Clinton's and John Major's support, now seems far from assured.

The would-be masters of the Global Plantation have been stuck with the lesser of two evils in Great Britain.
The world shadow government, which destabilized the Tory government of British Prime Minister John Major because he waffled on surrendering sovereignty to the European Union (EU), was forced to forgive him, given the other choice to lead the party.
The Bilderberg Group was outraged when Major, who had been put in power because Margaret Thatcher had protected British sovereignty (SPOTLIGHT May 29, 1989), tried to appease "Euro- rebels" by suggesting "the time may never be right" for a common European currency.
The European Union is committed to achieving a common currency by 1999. As a final act in the surrender of nationhood, it is high on the Bilderberg agenda. Major, finding himself in political quicksand, quickly recanted and again supports the common currency.
Despite being a tool of the Bilderbergers since taking office, his momentary slip brought outrage, and Bilderberg influence forced Major to resign as party leader and stand for election.
But the only challenger to emerge was John Redwood, a Thatcherite who bitterly opposes surrendering British sovereignty to the European Union, so the Bilderberg Group was forced to embrace its Prodigal Son again.
There was still more bad news for Bilderberg: Redwood's 89 votes, and 12 ballots deliberately filled out inappropriately with two abstentions showed much more strength for "Euro-rebels" than expected.
Major's 218 votes fell far short of the 230 British politicians he needed to be secure at 10 Downing Street. One third of his own Tory members of Parliament oppose him and a merger with the European Union.
Elections must be held by April 1997 and the Conservative Party is 30 points behind Labor in the polls. Many Labor Party leaders also oppose closer ties with the European Union and it will be a major election issue.
This, too, is bad news for Bilderberg, which wants world government to be achieved while people are sleeping, not debating the issue. Bilderberg can't win a battle of ideas in the public arena.
Meanwhile, another Bilderberg goal was achieved when Vice President Al Gore and Russian Prime Minister Viktor Chernomydrin signed a $15 billion oil exploration deal in Moscow.
Oil fields will be developed off Sakhalin Island (stolen from the Japanese following World War II) in Russia's Far East. Exxon may invest as much as $15 billion and Japanese firms also share in the deal.
Exploiting Russia's natural resources and slave-wage labor
has been high on the Bilderberg agenda since the Berlin Wall tumbled
(SPOTLIGHT, May 10, 1993).

The fatal shooting of a militia chaplain in Ohio has created a national crisis.
The fatal shooting of the 50 year old chaplain of an Ohio militia group by a policeman in central Ohio has angered militia and patriot groups across America and caused the FBI to issue a nationwide alert for possible civil disobedience.
Michael H. Hill of Woodsfield, Ohio, was shot dead on the highway at 2:15 am on June 28 by police Sgt. Matthew May, after what appeared to be a routine traffic stop as Hill was driving on Ohio Route 16 through Frazeysburg, located in the northern part of rural Muskingum County.
According to an Associated Press (AP) report, the shooting occurred after May had stopped Hill's car for not having a legal license plate.
The SPOTLIGHT has obtained copies of statements by three witnesses to the shooting, all of whom are militia members who were traveling behind both Hill's car and the police vehicle when the shooting occurred.
REFUSE STATEMENTS
Ohio officials refused to accept the written and witnessed statements of the three eyewitnesses, purportedly because they were also militia members, until after the attorney for the dead chaplain's family-Nancy Lord, a well known civil libertarian lawyer-demanded that they be accepted by Ohio Attorney General Betty Montgomery. Inexplicably, according to the AP report, Muskingum County Sheriff Bernie Gibson said "no officer's life had been threatened."
Gibson said the killing has caused a firestorm of protests, with people calling his department threatening revenge for Hill's death.
The SPOTLIGHT has been able to piece together what happened along the Ohio highway, from a variety of sources.
Hill was traveling east through the small town of Frazeysburg
to return to his home in woodsfield, located in southeastern Ohio.
At that point, three of his militia associates were
traveling in a vehicle directly in front of him.
Hill apparently refused to display the official Ohio license plate on his automobile and instead displayed his own personal tag which read "Militia Chaplain 13-3."
As they passed through Frazeysburg, the militia members noticed a local police officer was monitoring traffic from a parking lot along Route 16. As the militia members drove by, they claim, the officer switched on his beacon lights, pulled out of the lot and began following Hill.
PULLED OFF ROAD
Hill pulled off the highway, as did his three associates in the second car, who had stopped to await him. Both May and Hill got out of their cars and engaged in conversation between the two vehicles.
Then, they both returned to their cars and Hill drove off with May following in the patrol car with the car's beacon lights apparently turned off. Both Hill and May passed by the lead car occupied by the tree other militiamen.
The three have been identified as Joseph A Yacapraro Jr., the driver of the car;his son, Joshua Yacapraro, who was in the passenger side front seat of the vehicle and Larry Martz, who was in the driver's side rear seat.
As they were passed by both vehicles, May apparently turned on the flashing lights again and the two cars again pulled the road, with the three militiamen pulling up about 20 to 30 feet behind the police cruiser.
According to the three militiamen in the third car, the headlights of which illuminated both the police car and Hill's vehicle, Hill and the officer again got out of their cars.
All three said May opened fire with his service pistol after Hill took a few steps toward the officer.
KILLED INSTANTLY
The first shot struck hill in the center of the forehead, a second struck him in the cheek and two others struck his chest. He died instantly.
Hill was armed, carrying a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol in the waistband of his trousers. However, all three witnesses in the third car said Hill didn't reach for the gun. Militia members said Hill walked with his hands at his sides toward the policeman.
After it was reported Hill's family had retained the services of Ms. Lord to bring a civil suit against May, police officials reported there was a second witness to the shooting an off-duty fireman who was riding with May in the patrol car.
Thus far, they have refused to identify the man.
He supposedly supports May's contention Hill withdrew the .45 pistol from his waistband before the shots were fired by the officer. However, the three militia witnesses not only deny this, but insist that there was no one other than May in the patrol car, which was brightly illuminated by the headlights of their vehicle.
In addition, Hill and the officer were bathed in the fright headlights of both vehicles, and Hill was walking into the blinding lights when he was shot.
According to SPOTLIGHT sources, May has a history of using what was termed "excessive" force.
May reportedly once shot a man while May worked as a security guard in Whitehall, Ohio, before becoming a police officer. While a policeman, May brutally eat a man he had stopped for driving while intoxicated.
FBI PROBE
The FBI has entered the case and has received the statements from the three militia witnesses, whom they have questioned, SPOTLIGHT sources said.
More than 300 people turned out for Hill's funeral services on June 2 in Woodsfield, with many attending from eight other states, including Connecticut, Kansas, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Georgia, West Virginia and New York.
He was buried on the family farm in Woodsfield.
Hill served five years with the Canton, Ohio Police Department
and was also an Ohio Army National Guardsman present at Kent State
University during the clash there between students and guardsmen
in 1970, when several students were shot and killed.
Hill had co-authored a book about the shooting: I Was There-
Kent State, Predictable and Avoidable.
This is the latest in a series of deadly clashes between citizens and the police in Ohio.
On April, a two-day siege by police of the Brunswick, Ohio Home of John Lekan ended with Lekan allegedly shooting his young son and then committing suicide.
The Incident had been sparked by threats from local social services employees that the son could be taken from the family because the elder Lekan possessed guns in the home. All were legal sporting-type arms (SPOTLIGHT, May 1).
In another Ohio incident, on June 23 and 24, agents of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) attempted to search a Parma, Ohio home for supposed illegal firearms.
After knocking at the door and causing the family dog to bark, the owner told them to wait while he restrained the animal. Unknown to the agents the man slipped out the back door.
Assuming the man had "holed-up" in the house, the BATF team evacuated the neighborhood, cut all utilities and then obtained a sealed search warrant to enter the home.
The "siege" ended when the man's parents unlocked the home and allowed the BATF agent to enter. They found the house empty. The owner has since returned.
However, no arrests have been made nor have the agents attempted
any further search of the premises.

during and after the terrorist bombing in Oklahoma City were discussed

host Tom Valentine.
The guest was David Hall, owner of KPOC Television in
Ponca City, Oklahoma which is roughly 90 miles from Oklahoma City. Hall
and his news team have been investigation the Oklahoma bombing and have
uncovered facts which do not agree with the official government version
of what supposedly happened.

Q. Your station is located just about an hour and a half's
drive from Oklahoma City and you were covering "the bomb" from the
beginning.
R. That's right. We had people on the scene by about 10:45
the morning of the bombing. We were covering it like any story that we
would cover. However, after abut a week certain things started
developing, so we started looking into it in a serious manner.
Consequently we've hired three special investigators (two of them are
former FBI agents who are working for us for the last 30 days.
Q. Have you also been in touch with Ted Gunderson, the
former special agent in charge of the FBI office in Los Angeles, whose
inquiries into the nature of the bomb have been reported
extensively by The SPOTLIGHT?
R. I have Gunderson's full report and expect to meet with
him eventually. However, we haven't gotten to that part of the story
(i.e. the nature of the bomb itself) as of yet. We're still working on
the McVeigh and John Doe No. 2 angles, trying to bring some
inconsistencies into line and make some sense out of what we've been
told.
Q. What have been some of these inconsistencies and other
questions that have led you into investigation the bombing story
further?
R. I think the thing that really bothered us is that we
were told on the afternoon of April 19, the day of the bombing, that
they had videotape of a brown Ford pickup with McVeigh getting in it,
leaving the truck that was supposed to be carrying the bomb, and that
there was another suspect in that brown Ford pickup with McVeigh. They
also stated that a female witness had been driving away from the scene
as the bomb exploded. She had her front car window blown out. She also
saw these two individuals.
Then we find that McVeigh was arrested at 10:45 that
morning by the Oklahoma highway patrolman, Charlie Hanger. McVeigh was
in a 1978 cream colored Mercury. That caught our attention since this
car was nothing like the vehicle that the authorities were supposed to
be on the lookout for and for which they had put out an all- points
bulletin.
About two weeks ago, we and another television station
confronted them on this and asked why they were not continuing to look
for the brown Ford pickup and John Doe No. 2. That seemed to have
fallen by the wayside.
The authorities told us, though, that they had not put out
an all-points bulletin for the brown Ford pickup and that we were
totally in error. We videotaped that interview, by the way, and so did
the other television station.
However, we then went to the police broadcast tapes that
went out on April 19. We brought up the tape which indicated that there
had been an all points bulletin for a brown Ford pickup that had two
occupants and that this bulletin was put out with the authority of the
FBI. We replayed that tape for them and they said that they had "no
comment" on it.
Now after Waco we had begun to wake up and realized that
these people (the authorities) didn't tell us the truth all the time,
so we started looking at the Oklahoma city bombing case a little harder.
At another point they indicated that McVeigh was arrested
at 10:45 on the morning of Wednesday, April 19 and that the vehicle he
was driving was the 1978 Mercury.
I happened to be sitting by my radio scanner on Friday,
April 21, about one o'clock in the afternoon, and I heard a broadcast
coming over from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol that they had a car on
I-35 and that the car, most likely, had been involved in the bombing.
I dispatched a crew over from the station and they got
there and a lady there told us that she witnessed the arrest of a man
about 1:30 pm. She said he was taken out of the vehicle, put in a
military helicopter and it went south with him. We broadcast that
story as did Channel 4 in Oklahoma City as well as the Oklahoma News
Network for radio.
If that wasn't enough, then, the following Monday we had
our insurance agent for the station who came in that day to visit. He
lives at Perry, Oklahoma. I mentioned this report to him and he said,
"I was coming down I-35 on Friday and a highway patrolman passed me
with his red lights and siren on at a high rate of speed."
He said that when he got up to where the patrolman had gone there were all sorts of vehicles and all sorts of police
(including plainclothesmen). There was a helicopter flying away. So
that substantiates the story that the lady had told. Our insurance man
is a former Oklahoma City police officer.
So we are trying to determine who was arrested on Friday.
Was McVeigh arrested on Wednesday (as they say) or on Friday?
It may be that there is a reasonable explanation for this.
It may be that the car McVeigh was driving was left on the spot for two
days but that's not likely.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has a policy in the types of
arrest that McVeigh was involved in, The car would be impounded and
searched and taken off the highway. At any rate they don't let a car
sit for a 48 hour period on I-35.
Q. Are you suggesting that McVeigh's real arrest by a very
lucky highway patrolman didn't really happen on the morning of April 19
(shortly after the bombing) but that it really happened on April 21?
R. Well, we've been told by two witnesses that there was
an arrest on that date. We're trying to clear this up with the FBI, but
we can't get statements from them. They are not commenting on that. So
it's a very real problem.
However, there's another problem with this arrest.
If McVeigh left Oklahoma City at 9 in the morning (and he
was arrested at Perry, Oklahoma at 10:20 that morning, according to the
official reports), he would have known from early reports that there
were at least six people dead from the bombing (since he had a radio in
that car).
He was running 85 miles an hour down I-35 which has
highway patrolmen all along the highway. He had no license plate on the
car. He had a fully loaded gun strapped in a shoulder holster.
Now according to Patrolman Charlie Hanger, when he stopped
McVeigh, the suspect got out of the car and said, "I've got a gun under
my jacket," and gave himself up.
That doesn't make sense to me. At that point McVeigh would
have had nothing to lose if he had shot the officer right there and
gone on down the road.
Q. It doesn't make sense to a lot of people.
R. There are some real problems here. I'm not buying the
story, not does my television crew, not do the former FBI agents who we
have on board. What we have are several problems with the stories put
out by the FBI and even they are acknowledging that they have problems.
They don't know if they have enough evidence to prosecute
James Nichols and are asking for an extension on the grand jury. I
think, perhaps, there might be similar problems with McVeigh, but I
feel that we have enough information at this time to say that he
certainly was involved int eh bombing in some way.
However, we looked at McVeigh's work record over the
30-day period prior to the bombing and we found that he worked 24
or 25 hours drawing $4.35 an hour.
To build the bomb, rent the truck and stay in the motels
that were used would have exceeded $10,000. How a man such as McVeigh,
whom we might call a drifter, and just working to eat each day, could
have come up with $10,000 raises questions.
We think we have the answer at this time, but I'd rather
not go into it over the program at this time. We've interviewed many,
many people who have actually been with McVeigh and actually know some
of the things involved around this bombing and when all of it comes
out, people are going o be astounded with what we've uncovered.
Q. Have you interviewed Charlie Hanger, the officer who was supposed to have arrested McVeigh?
R. We have talked with Hanger. Charlie is not talking at
this time. He's been told by the FBI not to talk. We did talk with him
early on and he told us that he made that arrest at 10:20 am on April
19. Charlie is under the spell of the FBI. That doesn't have any effect
on the information that we've uncovered up to this point.
We actually know where McVeigh stopped along the way and
talked with people and we've talked with some of those people. The FBI
knows the same thing that we know.
They know that McVeigh was supposed to be in Oklahoma city
at 3 am in the morning and was delayed because he got lost and we've
talked to the people who talked to him while he was lost and got him
back on the road.
Then there are the stories that there were no ATF people
in the bureau office the day of the bombing. A lot of people have heard
those stories. The ATF has sent out a disclaimer saying that they had
five agents who were dead.
However, there's a bad problem with that because two days
prior to that, one agent told us that there were no ATF agents in the
office that day. He even told us where they were. He told us that he
was in Oklahoma City in court with a fellow named Fuzzy Warren.
Then, he said, there were three agents in Newkirk,
Oklahoma on an arson case and a couple others were involved incases
around the country. He said that five agents were up all night because
they were involved in surveillance until about 6:30 in the morning at
which time they went home and went to bed. What he told us was that no
agents were killed, but that there was a secretary in the office and
she did not get hurt.
According to him they were all out doing their jobs. I
will tell you this much: We're going to have a real problem with those
five agents who were up all night and went home and went to bed.
Q. Whatever happened to the brown Ford pickup that McVeigh
and the other suspect were supposedly spotted in just prior to the
bombing?
R. We don't believe there ever was such a vehicle. They've
never produced a videotape of the scene that was supposed to be
Southwestern Bell's videotape of the scene that was supposed to be
Southwestern Bill's video surveillance camera in a building across the
street from the federal building. No one has seen those videos. They've
not been released to anybody, although several people have made
inquiries.
Q. What about the seismographic evidence in circulation
that suggest that there were two explosions at the federal building?
R. There certainly were two explosions. At the onset we
were told that those two seismic readings were the explosion going off
and then the concrete from the building falling and hitting the ground.
Then they retracted that and said that there was the explosion and then
something following it like a sonic boom.
We have a former ATF agent who has looked at the charts
and his conclusions, while not firm yet, are somewhat in concurrence
with those of former FBI official, Ted Gunderson who believes that the
bomb had to be more powerful than what's officially been reported.
We're not ready to draw a conclusion, but we are still working on this
particular question.
Another thing that the authorities will have to address is
that the demolition of the building by explosives did not
register on the seismograph that suggested there had been two explosions on April 19.
We had 60 million tons of concrete fall on April 19 at the
time of the blast. Then when the building was brought down, there were
some 200 million tons fall, but that shock wave didn't register.
Now here's something else that we broadcast (as did other
local Oklahoma stations) and this didn't get outside the state in the
national media reports.
The assistant Oklahoma City firechief, John Hanson, told
us that they had found two undetonated bombs in the building as well as
one rocket launcher in the building.
We have confirmed that they were there, but we have not
been able to get any comments from the FBI or the ATF. So there are
some problems there.
Q. You've uncovered some other interesting things.
R. We think that we've found John Doe No. 2 and we have
had him under surveillance for about six days. We know that John Doe
No. 2 was in Tulsa, along with McVeigh, at a gun show on April 1.
McVeigh was attempting to buy some pistols over there and
he said he was not going to register with the ATF. So we know about
that. We talked at length with a man who was selling guns at the gun
show and he reported this to the FBI and no action was taken of that.
Q. The FBI were certainly miracle people after the
bombing. It was the day after the bombing that they were in Michigan
ransacking houses, in Mexico and Arizona. Did they know ahead about all
of these people?
R. I Think-as do a lot of other people-that McVeigh was under surveillance for a long time.
I think you could put that theory in the bank and draw
money on it. We have evidence that would support that. I think that
there was prior knowledge of the bombing.
Q. A lady named Deborah von Trapp has been claiming that
the American government was responsible for the gassings in Tokyo and
that the Japanese retaliated by the Oklahoma City bombing.
I don't find it credible at all, although I actually
provided Miss von Trapp a forum on this program several years ago in
another matter involving her personal conflict with the Xerox
corporation. Any comments on her allegations?
R. We have totally investigated this claim and we can't
substantiate any thing she says. CBS News, incidentally, actually
looked into her claim and they can't find anything reliable in what she
says either.
Q. Personally, I believe Miss von Trapp was deliberately
handed misinformation so that some of us who believe there's a lot more
to the Oklahoma City bombing story might get entrapped (and therefore
discredited).
R. I believe you're right. I don't know that she knowingly
did this, but we did a lot of investigating into this. Now some friends
of mine at CBS who know what we are doing, and who are friendly to us,
also looked into this. There are people in the major media who share
information with us a lot of the time and their hands are tied.
I want to say that I have a great deal of faith in Radio
Free America. I know that the information that you put out is accurate
and I want people to know that.

What better way to destroy an enemy's capacity to make war than with bad weather?
"International law will soon be forced to evolve doctrines of `weather rights.'"
The words are those of Edith Brown Weiss, a lawyer for the Brookings Institute (financed by the Rockefellers). She was speaking to the American Meteorological Society in 1972 (The Cooling by Lowell Ponte, 1976.)
Ponte asks the question, "Is good weather a limited resource in a worldwide balance of good and bad weather? If so, justice may require some way of redistributing this resource which for most nations make the difference between feast and famine."
WEATHER AS A WEAPON
Yes, we have a weapon in our arsenal, as do the ex-Soviets, so devastating that it could nullify every other weapon extant today. It is called weather modification. Used selectively with the vast stockpiles of biological agents located in the United States, in the ex-USSR and in Israel, it could wipe out, or at the very least, incapacitate, every person in a target area as vast as half the continent of Africa.
Weather modification is a hush-hush subject insofar as the liberal media are concerned. Periodically, they are forced to report it.
TOFFLER AND GINGRICH
We get another clue from the best seller by Alvin Toffler. His book Powershift is subtitled "Knowledge, Wealth and Violence at the Edge of the 21st Century."(Note: He has just produced another book, Creating the New Civilization, with a laudatory introduction by the new Speaker of the House "New Age" Newt Gingrich.)
He addresses "The Coming Eco-Wars," stating that a third for tomorrow's spies in the environment. He uses an example of how Turkey in 1989 cut off the flow of Euphrates River water to Iraq and Syria for a month. Its purpose according to the Turks, to do repair work on the Ataturk Dam. It hurt Iraqi agriculture and Syrian electric supply.
Here is Toffler's crucial statement which I emphasize:
"Someday nations may unleash genetically altered insects against an adversary or attempt to modify weather."
Is this something out of the 25th century?
Au contraire. What Toffler hints at is a long practiced art of truly magnificent proportions, practiced and perfected by some of the world's leading scientific brains, particularly microbiologists and physicists.
Working together under the aegis of the Pugwash Conferences, scientists from the United States, then-USSR, Britain, France and Eastern Europe resurrected and bottled bugs which have produced plagues through the ages to both man and his animals.
Scientists classify these microbes under the heading Zoonosis, or diseases transmittable to man from animals.
Although such notables as Henry Kissinger and Zbigniew
Brzezinski have referred to the potential of weather modification
as a deterrent to aggressors, little or nothing has appeared in
the media about this scientific endeavor that has been ongoing
for at least 40 years.
Rather, the media have bombarded the gullible public for the last few years with stories about the "greenhouse effect," the "ozone hole." the gradual warming of the Earth, the flatulence of cattle and the overuse of body sprays and refrigerants. These same artists of disinformation have pinned the spread of AIDS on little green monkeys from central Africa. (Read the new book by Laurie Garrett: The Coming Plague.)
Weather modification is truly a weapon in the literal sense. And it is in the arsenal of a group (Toffler in Powershift refers to them as being all powerful) who control world finance, as well as the international stock markets and the media.
Their goal is one world socialism which they choose to call globalism.
In 1988, the then deputy secretary of defense for research and development, Douglas Feith, released a paper on germ warfare which outlined all the new and exotic diseases that can be transmitted to man, his cattle and crops by means of what Toffler alludes to in his book: Genetically altered insects carried to select target area by winds aloft.
Feith warned "there is no known antidote" for several of these strains of bacilli.
What he didn't say was that neither ourselves nor our then- enemy, the USSR, could use germ warfare effectively unless we have mastered the winds aloft through weather modification.
But, have we already mastered these winds aloft? By "we" I mean the U.S. scientific community. We have, over the past 40 years at least, shared our scientific and technologic endeavor with that country and continue to do so today.
As of 1977, the Soviets had four ground based transmitters inside the USSR. That winter it snowed in Miami, Florida, for the first time in recorded history. How many citrus crops have been wiped out since then? How long has it been since you tasted a succulent grapefruit or a really good orange or a juicy Georgia peach?
ROSEBURY BOTTLES THE BUGS
In the 1960s, I ran an international program in cooperative research and development involving the armies of America, Britain, Canada and later Australia. The program started in 1958 under Gen. James "Jumpin' Jim" Gavin when he was chief of Research and Development. Most of us involved in the program were combat arms officers - I was a paratrooper and infantry combat troop commander.
We soldiers preferred to work on "conventional" weapons development; we looked askance and were a bit horrified about the work going on in chemical and biological warfare, as well as "weather modification." We referred to the end products as "population control devices." Frankly, we were a bit frightened about what we were doing.
Not so some of our colleagues. They called their work "humane warfare," referring to their end products as "incapacitating agents." One of their manuals stated that it is possible to cause casualties with little or no deaths. It also stated that lethal types of agents may be selected to achieve varying rates of mortality even to the extent of more than 90 percent.
The manual noted "biological agents are capable of reproducing once they invade man...they may overcome the body defenses and cause disease."
Dr. Leroy Fothergill director of Fort Detrick chemo-bio labs, described the ideal bio warfare agent as being "highly infectious, easy to reproduce, have sufficient viability and stability to meet military needs and should not be unduly injured by dissemination in the field."
Two methods of dissemination were stressed: the use of insects and the use of prevailing air currents.
One of our colleagues of those days, a scientist rather than a soldier, was Brig. Gen. J.H. Rothschild, director of Chemical Warfare Research in the late 1950s. He wrote a book in 1964, Tomorrows Weapons.
Rothschild said he saw bio warfare as a deterrent probably stronger than the threat of nuclear attack to prevent communist China from starting a war.
One of Rothschild's colleagues assigned to Fort Detrick was Theodor Rosebury. Known as "Mr. Biological Warfare," he was a bacteriologist. Under his aegis, some of the most heinous killers of history were resuscitated and perfected, including pulmonary anthrax, brucellosis, encephalomyelitis, bubonic and pneumonic plague, Q Fever, rift valley fever, psittacosis, tularemia and rocky mountain spotted fever.
SAME MESSAGE
Rosebury, too, wrote a book, Peace or Pestilence, whose message then was as implicit as Toffler's is today in Powershift. Rosebury referred to his handiwork as "airborne epidemics" and stated that "we might learn to control them as we now control cholera and typhoid fever."
Control becomes the name of the game. It has always been a problem for both biological and chemical weapons. The Stanford Research Institute in Menio Park, California, and the Geo - Physics Corp. of America in Bedford, Massachusetts, have worked diligently since the 1960s on advancing CB weapons systems and their controlled dissemination by means of controlling winds aloft.*
