Here's To Your Health
The Swedish media has taken The SPOTLIGHT's lonely lead, reporting on Bilderberg's annual secret gathering.
STENUNGSUND, Sweden-An unprecedented wave of early publicity
in the Swedish media has prompted Bilderberg to
hurriedly
build a high fence over a bridge crossing its island resort and
take other precautions.
Bilderberg has always had tight security with armed guards sealing off its secret meeting places. This time, the fence went up overnight, on top of a safety fence long in place, so it would be difficult to climb over, dive in the water and swim to the shore of the posh Quality Hotel Stenungsbaden.
The nearby Säve military airfield was on alert, where 23 private jets had been cleared to land. All private helicopters had been reserved by Wednesday, May 23. Bilderberg luminaries were arriving at their island hide-a-way by land, air and sea.
In recent years, Bilderberg has met with a blizzard of SPOTLIGHT-generated me dia coverage, but this time it came early instead of after the facility had been sealed off.
The large Swedish newspaper, Dagens Nyheter, on May 13 devoted a full-page to facts about the secret meeting of the world's most powerful politicians, banksters, financiers and businessmen.
The Gothenburg tabloid Metro published Bilderberg stories and photos on two facing pages on May 14, citing The SPOTLIGHT.
On May 23, The Gothenburg Post carried a story and large photo of the magic fence.
Also on May 23, The Expressen/GT, Sweden's second largest evening paper, carried a lengthy full-page story under a blaring headline: "Stenungsund Is Occupied."
Meanwhile, this SPOTLIGHT reporter, trying to bird-dog Bilderberg, was distracted by numerous TV, radio and newspaper interviews.
In one TV interview, Leif Pagrotsky, Swedish trade minister, was harshly criticized on TV channel 4 for Bilderberg participation.
It is known that Bilderberg is concerned about possible pitfalls in the road to creating an "American Union" and Britain's balkiness about complete subjugation to the more advanced European Union.*
In response to unwelcome media attention, the plutocrats have taken unprecedented steps to ensure their cryptic parley is hidden behind closed doors.
Fearful
that someone will somehow slip through the barricades and peek
up their ideological skirts and view their dirty underpinnings,
Bilderberg will take to the high seas at noon on Saturday, May
26.
Early arrivals of Bilderberg and staff boarded a ship that took them to the island resort, Quality Hotel Stenungsbaden. Name tags were observed by security men - one photo badge in one color for actual Bilderberg participants, another color background photo badge for Bilderberg staff and still another for employees.
It was the first time in nearly half-a-century of such secret meetings of the world's most powerful men of international finance and politics that they became so paranoid they took their plotting to sea.
Earlier, Bilderberg leaders had ordered a very willing Kenneth Clark to bring the issue of Britain joining the common currency and otherwise surrendering sovereignty to the European Union to the top of the list of Conservative Party priorities.
Clarke, a Conservative member of Parliament and former chancellor of the exchequer, is a long-time Bilderberg stalwart who is committed to the European Union and world government.
The world government wing of the Conservative Party has been muted during the current campaign as former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has spoken loudly against embracing the euro and surrendering British sovereignty to the EU.
Bilderberg men, including Clarke, hope and expect the Conservatives to lose in a landslide to Prime Minister Tony Blair's Labor Party in the June 7 elections. Blair is himself a Bilderberger-in-denial who fervently yearns for the euro, a single European state and world government.
Politically, Britain has been forced to do what most of the EU former nation-states refused to do, have a popular referendum on whether to embrace the common currency.
While all major polls point to a big victory for Labor, many in Britain are angry at losing sovereignty to the EU and the euro is in peril when put to a popular vote.
That's why Bilderberg gave orders to Clarke which he was glad to receive: visit Blair and urge him to bring the issue up immediately, promising strng support from Conservative Party Europhiles.
Two years ago, the British were outraged to learn that the European Court had nullified two acts of Parliament. This year, they were outraged when small merchants were tried, fined and threatened with prison for selling products using Britain's traditional weights and measures instead of the EU-imposed metric system.
Even as Bilderberg was gathering in Sweden, Lady Thatcher was speaking against embracing the euro and the European Union, warning that it cost Britain the sovereignty they had "fought and died for."
Blair felt compelled to respond to Lady Thatcher by proclaiming that it is patriotic to embrace the euro and share sovereignty" with the EU. It was in this atmosphere that Bilderberg ordered Lady Thatcher's own Conservative Party to make embracing the euro a priority.*
On May 23, news about Bilderberg made the "mainstream" media worldwide, courtesy of Reuters, an eminently "respectable" source as far as the mainstream goes.
Readers of a Reuters news service dispatch announcing the Bilderberg meeting in Sweden may have felt a sense of deja vu.
Reuters' reportage echoes hundreds of reports about Bilderberg published in The SPOTLIGHT which - for publishing such reports - had been accused of "fear-mongering" and promoting "conspiracy theories."
Describing Bilderberg as "a semi-secret discussion forum for the Western world's power elite," Reuters noted that Swedish newspapers have been reporting on the gathering, pointing out that a half-mile long metal fence had been erected around Bilderberg's meeting place "to keep intruders away."
The report stated that "many critics see Bilderberg as a conspiracy and an agent of a new capitalist world order," pointing out that "anti-globalization demonstrators are expected to protest outside" the gathering place.
Reuters said that "Bilderberg participants abide by the so-called Chatham House rule, which forbids everyone present from disclosing what anybody else has said."
Although pointing out that Swedish billionaire Jacob Wallenberg, a longtime key figure in Bilderberg, "played down the group's importance," the news service noted that Wallenberg had still admitted to the daily Dagens Hyheter that "this is one of the many meetings all over the world where decision-makers get together."
Reuters quoted Goran Greider, editor-in-chief of Dala-Demokratan, a regional Swedish daily, as saying, "Even though no formal decisions are made...this group, together with many others, has contributed to shaping the kind of capitalism we have today and cemented the world's leading business elites together."
Reuters also cited Ulf Bjereld, a political science professor
at Gothenburg University who said, "The secrecy is regarded
as
very provocative.
Men in power talk toward consensus behind closed doors on timely
issues on the political agenda."
Reuters even went so far as to echo The SPOTLIGHT by noting that former President Bill Clinton and British Prime Minister Tony Blair "were groomed at Bilderberg meetings before rising to fame' and that such big names as Henry Kissinger, U.S. Senators Chris Dodd (D-Conn.), John Kerry (D-Mass.) and chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) have been among those at Bilderberg.*
Bilderberg: Takes its name from the hotel in Holland where the group met in 1054, during the earliest period of its inception. Meets every year at various locations in the United States and Europe, always in extreme secrecy, often at resorts controlled by either the Rockefeller or Rothschild families. The Rothschild family is the leading European force with in the Bilderberg Group, sharing its power with the American-based Rockefeller empire.
The Rothschild family is the leading European force within the Bilderberg Group, sharing its power with the American-based Rockefeller empire. The internationalist group has a revolving membership of several hundred participants composed of banking, political and media elites from the United States and Western Europe, almost exclusively from the NATO countries. (Representatives from the former Soviet Union and East Bloc countries attended the 1992 gathering, however.) Bilderberg maintains an extremely low profile and never publishes reports or studies under its own official aegis.
Bilderberg participants and all newspaper editors in the United States denied the group's very existence for decades until forced into the open by the glare of media publicity, generated by The SPOTLIGHT and its publisher, Liberty Lobby.*
A new initiative sponsored by the Mexican government makes it easier for illegals to sneak across the dangerous U.S. border and then blend in once they've arrived.
Rather than take the extra steps necessary to stem the incredible tide of illegal immigration across the U.S.-Mexican border, the Mexican government announced ti will begin handing out "survival kits" to Mexicans seeking to make the dangerous trek across deserts and mountains in order to sneak illegally into the United States.
A committee made up of Mexican doctors and health workers formed by the Mexican government's aptly-named Office for Mexicans Abroad will be in charge of orchestrating the initiative. The newly-created Mexican agency will be headed by Juan Hernandez, a U.S. citizen.
The Mexican program begins June 15 and is expected to cost approximately $15 million.
At first, the Mexican government says it will pick up the tab, but the U.S.-taxpayer-funded California Endowment, a health foundation near San Diego, says it will contribute to the initiative out of a $50 million fund set aside for California farm workers.
According to Mexican official data, out of an estimated 1.5 million Mexicans who attempted the extremely dangerous border crossing last year, 490 perished.
The survival kits, which will be given with no questions asked to any Mexican citizen who requests one, contain the usual food, water, medicine and other vital provisions suitable for crossing hazardous terrain.
What has some U.S. immigration reform groups objecting to the program is the fact that Mexican officials have also chosen to include critical information for surviving and blending in one the illegals have reached their U.S. destination safely.
The Kits contain a list of California health clinics that do not charge fees or ask for Social Security numbers. They also provide information on good nutrition, self-esteem and even Asian meditation techniques "to combat the pressures of being in a country they've entered illegally."
In addition to the necessities and the pamphlets, all Mexican women who want to make the illegal trip will be given 25 birth control pills - a little less than a month's supply - and men will receive 25 condoms. Information on to how use the pills and condoms will also be provided.
Copley News Service reported that President Vicente Fox's administration is setting up a Migrant Attorney General's office with exclusive mandate of investigating and prosecuting crimes that have been committed against illegals whey they are trying to cross the border.
U.S. ranchers who patrol their land and detain or kill illegals who use private property to cross into the United States could face prosecution under Mexican laws.
"The kits program reflect a reality that has rarely been reflected officially,' Jorge Santibanez, president of the College of Northern Frontier in Tijuana, told Copley News Service. "Mexico avoided actions that could appear to be helping migrants leave. There was kind of a self-censorship: What will the U.S. say if we look like we're helping them leave? This self-censorship has disappeared.*
The so-called "hate" crimes statistics that special interest groups and politicians use to justify the necessity for new laws just don't add up.
According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), America needs to punish criminals with enhanced sentences if it is determined that the victim was chosen because of "race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation or gender."
America is listening. Currently, 43 states and Washington have enacted laws based on the model drafted by the ADL. At long last, murder, rape and robbery cases - which already involve an offender who "hates" a victim - will be recognized as worse if they are perpetrated by someone with a prejudice.
The Department of Justice reported the in 1999 there were 7,876 bias-motivated criminal incidents. Of these incidents, whites with anti-black motivations committed 2,030. Only 524 criminal acts were by blacks against whites.
This would seem to confirm the politically correct view of the greater prejudice of whites in America.
This is not the whole story, however.
According to the FBI, in 1999 there were 876,142 cases of violent crime committed by blacks against whites. In that same year, there were only 108,116 cases of violent crime perpetrated by whites against blacks.
The discrepancy is clear. It seems quite unlikely that whites committed nearly four times as many hate crimes against blacks, when blacks committed over eight times as many violent crimes against whites.
The reason for these conflicting numbers lies with in so-called "hate crime" legislation and its application.
Special interest groups like the ADL are creating inequalities all the time, which are quickly accepted as law by cowering politicians.
Hate crime legislation is flawed by the fact that it requires prosecutors to assume that they know and can prove a bias on the part of a defendant. Such legislation is transformed into a brave injustice by applying it to only certain groups in society.
The same FBI report showed that in 1999, less than one-tenth of a percent of black rape victims were raped by whites. In that same period, 7.3 percent of rapes of white women were committed by blacks. That translates to 20,000 rape victims.
Do you think those victims felt at ease when assured that only a fraction of those rapes were motivated by racial bias?
Could a family take comfort that a murdered father was killed by a person with no malice in his heart?
These questions are as absurd as any attempt to try and answer them.*
Paddy A. Chara is the nom de plume of an economist working for the government.
Bilderberg is gloomy over setbacks in its plans for world government and the presence of an Arab leader suggests meddling in the Mideast lies ahead.
STENUNGSUND, Sweden-Bilderberg took dramatic action to keep
its program for a world government from possible collapse while
planning some kind of intervention in the Middle
East.
While Bilderberg has always held its secret sessions behind heavy security and armed guards, this year a SWAT team joined in patrolling the grounds of the Quality Hotel Stenungsbaden.
SPOTLIGHT reporter Christopher Bollyn was seized on private property by Swedish police, driven six miles into the wilderness and dumped. A European reporter was held for several hours.
Tensions among Bilderberg and its armada of police, private security and personal bodyguards was high because of extensive coverage by Swedish media generated by The SPOTLIGHT's early advisories.
This reporter spent hours being interviewed by newspapers, magazines and broadcasters throughout Bilderberg's sessions.
Local coverage was persistent, day by day. The large number of reporters collaborated to keep the gates guarded virtually 24 hours a day. Bilderberg refused, even under the pressure of hostile coverage by major newspapers, to yield up its list of participants and the agenda.
However, participants were identified by sight.
Sources inside Bilderberg and people who move in Bilderberg circles back in D.C. provided more names and information on what transpired behind the guarded gates. From inside the resort, a source was finally able to provide The SPOTLIGHT with a hand-copied list of names and the agenda-at great personal risk.
Notably absent was Carl Bildt, United Nations envoy to the Balkans and host country Sweden's former prime minister. A long-time Bilderberg luminary, Bildt was attending a meeting of the Aspen Society -an arm of Bilderberg-in Brussels. Notably present was Mohammed Nash a shibi, finance minister in Yasser Arafat's Palestinian Authority. He was identified by Roland Rossier of l'Hebdo magazine, who is doing an in-depth story of Liberty Lobby and The SPOTLIGHT's pursuit of Bilderberg over the years.
Nashashibi's presence signals some intervention in the Middle East.
Bilderberg is fearful that the European Union might be coming apart when a few years ago it had expected Britain to be a full partner and embrace the euro by now. A new leader in Italy who plans dramatic tax cuts that would confound the euro troubles them.
Further depressing Bilderberg is fear that "right-wing nationalists" in the United States will, with help from such countries as Brazil, block President Bush's Free Trade Area of the Americas from emerging as scheduled in 2005.
The secret group is determined that the Western Hemisphere become a single economic and political entity like the European Union, where member-states have already surrendered most of their national sovereignty.
In a panic, Bilderberg ordered Europhiles in Britain's Conservative Party to bring participation in the common currency to the top of the list of priorities as soon as the expected Labor Party victory in the June 7 elections is official. It is already being privately discussed with Labor Party leaders.
The orders were transmitted by Kenneth Clarke, a Conservative member of Parliament and former chancellor of the exchequer. Clarke is dedicated to Bilderberg's campaign for a world government.
It was what one called "Maggie's revenge" that prompted the Bilderberg panic. While Bilderberg was hiding here, Margaret Thatcher, former prime minister, was speaking to a Conservative Party rally:
"The greatest issue in this election, indeed the greatest issue before our country, is whether Britain is to remain a free, independent nation state or whether we are to be dissolved into a federal Europe. There are no half-measures, no third ways and no second chances."
The Conservative Party and its candidate for prime minister, William Hague, had made a deal with the Labor Party to keep the issue of joining the common currency out of the campaign debate. The Conservatives would publicly rule out the euro only for the duration of the next Parliament.
This was fine for the Labor Party and Europhiles in the Conservative Party who are committed to a federal Europe because two-thirds of the British people are op posed to giving up the pound or surrendering more sovereignty to the EU. The internationalists wanted more time to condition the British mind to accept the superstate and euro.
Lady Thatcher's outspoken opposition, in spite of her own party's admonition, forced Bilderberg to issue orders for Conservative and Labor Party leaders to bring the euro to the top of the priority list immediately after the election. They didn't want to press the issue this early in the face of popular opposition but felt their hand was forced.
Bilderberg referred to Lady Thatcher's intervention as "Maggie's revenge" be cause it had manipulated her downfall as prime minister because she opposed surrendering sovereignty to the EU and joining the common currency. Lady Thatcher later confirmed this in a personal conversation with a SPOTLIGHT reporter.
The effects of Lady Thatcher's strong, unscripted speech took a comical turn. Tony Blair, Labor's prime minister, felt compelled to argue that it is "patriotic " to "share sovereignty" with the EU and "patriotic" to give up the pound, a symbol of sovereignty, in favor of the euro.
Conservative candidate Hague had been hammering the Labor Party over its support of EU plans to "harmonize" taxes among the EU states. The Tory leader said the EU planned to "harmonize" taxes such as VAT, (value-added tax) and broaden it to include books, transport and clothing.
"More and more of the rights and powers of the British people are being signed away," Hague said at campaign rallies.
Labor and Liberal Party functionaries rushed out to denounce Hague's "scare mongering" and deny there is a plan to harmonize taxes. EU officials also issued denials.
LEAKED
Hague produced a "leaked document" from the EU that The Guardian of Europe described as "a document on tax priorities which did, as the Tories alleged, envisage harmonization of some taxes, including those governing transferable pensions and environmental taxes."
Bilderberg is fearful that Italy will rip another seam in the EU because of the election of Silvio Berlusconi and his conservative coalition in early May.
The Bilderberg-controlled Washington Post called him "the biggest challenge yet to the young euro currency" on May 18. Post Publisher Donald Graham, like all his predecessors since 1954, attended the Bilderberg meeting here.
Berlusconi, though a multi-millionaire, is far removed from Bilderberg and its agenda. He has pledged dramatic tax cuts which, Bilderberg participants said, undermine the euro.
He was also denounced by Bilderberg for "anti-immigration views."
Bilderberg urged members from Italy to search for ways to prevent Berlusconi from becoming head of government. Unfortunately, the process is slow. Italy's new parliament did not convene until May 30. The new government must have a vote of confidence in both houses before it is sworn in, probably around mid-June.
Italians assigned to try to trip Berlusconi are: Giovanni and Umberto Agnelli, father and son owners of Fiat; Franco Bernabe the nation's representative on Bal k an reconstruction; Paolo Fresco, chair man of Fiat and Giulio Tremorti, of the Chamber of Deputies finance commission.
Bilderberg was already concerned that "provincial nationalism" on the part of Americans would ultimately block the emergence of the "American Union" when the stunning news arrived that the defection of Sen. James Jeffords (Vt.) from the Republican Party would put Democrats in control of the Senate.
"Now we have to worry about those [Pat] Buchanan [expletive deleted] ganging up with the labor unions to stop the FTAA in a Democratic Senate," said one.On the formal agenda, Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.) and newspaper tycoon Conrad Black led a 90-minute discussion on "the New U.S. Administration" at 8:30 on Saturday, May 26.
President Bush was given high marks for promoting the FTAA, but all speakers expressed disappointment that he rejected the Kyoto Treaty, one of the building blocks of Bilderberg's world government campaign.
They also expressed confidence that Bush could be pressed into backing some kind of "global warming" pact that would enhance UN control of the world. Richard Perle, assistant secretary of defense, then led a discussion called "European Security Defense Identity and Transatlantic Security."
Perle attended Bilderberg meetings on behalf of President Ronald Reagan in the 1980s. There was debate, but no consensus on President Bush's plan for a missile shield.
Bilderberg participants then boarded the cruise ship Erik-which had a big "B" painted on a smokestack-for lunch and non-agenda deal-making. In the afternoon, Henry Kissinger presided over a discussion of "The Rise of China: Its Impact on Asia and the World."
Kissinger, through his international consulting firm, Kissinger Associates, has extensive financial interests in Red China.
It was universally agreed that the United States must "remain engaged" in China and "not be distracted" by such incidents as crashing American planes in international air space.
The importance of "opening Chinese markets" and smoothing its path into the World Trade Organization was stressed.
It is important, Bilderberg stressed, especially for the benefit of Dodd and Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.), that Congress erect "no barriers" to China's entry into the WTO because of "petty reactions to some incidents."
Both Dodd, 57, and Hagel, 55, are participating for the third time. They are regarded by Bilderberg colleagues as potential presidents. They are from opposite parties and Bilderberg likes to own both horses in a two-horse race. Former President Bill Clinton was an obscure governor of Arkansas when he attended Bilderberg for the first time in 1991 at Baden-Baden, Germany.
The closing session on Sunday, May 27, addressed the subject: "What Should Gov ernments Do About Food Quality?" It was led by Franz Fischler, who represents Aus tria in the European Union.
The conclusion was predictable: a UN bureaucracy must be established to make certain the global population has a healthy diet.
"Bilderberg is really dazed," said an inside source. "They thought by now the EU would be a full super-state with nation-states obsolete. Now they are afraid the whole agenda could unravel."
With the U.S. Senate "turned upside down, they are afraid Big Labor will help stop the FTAA and the 'American Union' will never happen," the Bilderberg source said.*
Under increasing media attention and public scrutiny, nervous Bilderbergers are openly talking about the necessity for a propaganda machine.
Some Bilderberg participants are suggesting it would be better strategy, in view of the blizzard of publicity in recent years, to be less secretive and operate more like their Trilateral Commission brothers.
For years now, they complain, they have been assured of "privacy" only to be blinded by TV lights, have microphones stuck under their chins and questions peppered at them by newspaper report ers as they get off airplanes and move toward limousines or helicopters.
They are also uncomfortable, they complain, with "mobs storming the gates," referring to a mix of media and patriots being kept outside by an armada of armed guards.
"For the last seven years or so, we have been assured that there have been no leaks, that we will not be harassed, yet here they are, every year," said one. "Why don't we just admit that the [expletives] will find out and act accordingly?"
The Trilateral Commission, which has interlocking leadership and a common agenda with Bilderberg, is less "bullied" because it is less secretive, they said. True, the TC's meetings are held behind locked and guarded doors. But the TC will say when and where it is meeting and provide a written agenda and list of participants.
Sometimes, the TC will even hold a post-meeting press conference and provide reporters with an "executive summary" of their reports. The thin reports are laundered, however, while the thick documents handed members have called for an end to nation-states in favor of world government, a standing army for the United Nations and a global tax by the UN, among other Bilderberg-backed plans.
But the "fact that they acknowledge their existence and provide times, locations, names and agenda mean that the Trilateral Commission is less harshly treated by the media," said one. "We should think about that."*
The police state in Sweden responded like dutiful stooges when called upon by the global elite to detain independent journalists.
Bilderberg conferences are always planned to provide maximum secrecy and security to protect the identities of the participants. The Wallenbergs, whose investment company, Investor, hosed this year's confab at Quality Hotel Stenungsbaden, took extraordinary, and quite possibly illegal, measures to keep members of the press from getting anywhere near the hotel.
Swedich riot police apparently violated the rights of several journalists covering the conference by illegally kidnaping and detaining them without formally charging them with any offense.
SEIZED
As The SPOTLIGHT's photographer, I was seized by police with dogs from private property that I had permission to be on adjacent to Quality Hotel Stenungsbaden, detained, driven out into the woods of Sweden and left on the side of a remote country road.
When I asked the police under what law I was being detained, the arresting officer replied, police law number 13."
A young Swedish journalist had be sitting with me on a private dock next to the hotel when Bilderberg security chief, Per Johansson, shouted from inside the resort's perimeter fence to leave the area.
The Swede explained that they were on private property that did not belong to the hotel, but Johansson told them that they had 10 seconds to leave the area.
We then went to the house of the property owner and asked him if we could sit on his dock, which he agreed to. He said he was personally mystified by the strange "silence" about the unusual goings on in the hotel next door.
On the way back to the dock Swedish police with dogs forced the two of us to leave the property. I went back to the property owner and was explaining the problem to him when a policeman with a fog forced his way between us and began pushing me out of the homeowner's yard saying, "You are coming with me."
I explained that I had permission to be there as was working for an American newspaper. Asked again by what law we were being detained, the policeman replied: "Police law, number 13."
Police law, paragraph 13, gives Swedish police the authority to detain and remove from the area a person who is either in danger or poses a threat to society. The law, which is usually applied to rioters or drunks, was loosely interpreted and liberally applied at Stenungsbaden to provide greater secrecy for the Bilderberg conference.
We were driven in a van with six riot policemen out on a country road, far from the hotel or our vehicles, and let out with no explanation whatsoever.
The SPOTLIGHT has formally complained to the Gothenburg Police Department. SPOTLIGHT reporter Jim Tucker explained to the investigating officers that such illegal detention would be considered "kidnaping" in the United States, regardless of whether it was done by the police of anyone else.
Asked by Tucker if "Police Law 13" was a legislative act or their own regulation, the two female investigating officers seemed confused, but thought it was department regulations.
Earlier, Tucker had confronted Johannson, who had chowen to stroll outside the compound, over the incident. To each question, he remained mute, replying with a silly grin.
Nina Ersman, press counselor at the Swedish Embassy in Washington, refused to moment when asked if the Swedish police were acting legally and correctly when they detained and waylaid us.*
At this year's mega-confab, Bilderberg took unprecedented steps to patch leads and prevent any security breaches.
The always-intense Bilderberg security was turned up several notches this year.
The Platoons of armed, uniformed guards, plainclothes security and SWAT teams are routine.
This year, extreme precautions were also taken against the security personnel and staff as Bilderberg determined to end the "leaks" of the past several years.
When participants arrived, they were identified by number codes on a computer, so guards at the gate would not know who was being admitted unless he recognized his face.
Inside, the hotel lists did not identify who resided in which room; again, there was a number code.
Staff was admonished to not "initiate contact" with Bilderberg luminaries. They were "to speak only if spoken to and not initiate eye contact," a source inside Bilderberg reported.
CONSTANT GUARD
The staff itself was under constant guard to protect against leaks. No conversation by phone escaped the open ears of police and no movement went unobserved.
Unlike previous years, reporters calling the resort were not allowed to talk to Bilderberg staff. Hotel operators were told to only "take messages."
The greatest pressures from large newspapers, unlike other years, were unable to pry loose the list of participants and agenda.
But Christopher Bollyn, in his second year of double-teaming Bilderberg with Jim Tucker, obtained the list on the very day Bilderberg departed.
Bollyn had been cultivating a source well before Bilderberg met. The source would wait until the guard nearby took a moment to eat and an associate stepped out at the same time.
EXCLUSIVE FOR OUR READERS
At great risk, the source would go to a numbers code that linked participants for telephone calls, and hurriedly, furtively jot down a few names. While of duty, the source would copy the jotted notes in neat handwriting for The SPOTLIGHT. The process took days and was completed too late to share with the European press, which had departed.
The source also obtained a copy of the agenda and, for fun, a menu. The agenda was printed in black on a dark-red background so a machine copy would be all black and indecipherable.
The source "did it to get back at these beg shots.
In a special tribute to The SPOTLIGHT, the source told Bollyn that Bilderberg is "very afraid of Mr. Tucker."*

BILDERBERG GROUP: Takes its name from the hotel in Holland where the group met in 1954, during the earliest period of its inception. It meets regularly (presumably on a once-a-year basis) at various locations around the world, always in extreme secrecy, often at resorts controlled by either the Rockefeller or Rothschild families. The Rothschild family is the leading European force within the Bilderberg Group, sharing its power with the American-based Rockefeller empire. The internationalist group has a revolving membership of several hundred participants composed of elites from the United States and Western Europe, primarily - almost exclusively - from the NATO countries. (Representatives from the former Soviet Union and East Bloc countries attended the 1992 gathering, however.) Bilderberg maintains an extremely low profile and seldom, if ever, publishes reports or studies (for the public, at least) under its own official aegis. Bilderberg participants denied the groups very existence for decades until forced into the open by the glare of media publicity, generated largely by The SPOTLIGHT and its publisher, Liberty Lobby.
TRILATERAL COMMISSION (TC): Organized exclusively by David Rockefeller in 1973. TC holds an official annual conclave closed to the independent press, but conducts seminars and other gatherings that are less exclusive. Membership is limited to elites from the United States and Canada, Western Europe and Japan, several and has several hundred members. It issues periodic reports known as the "Triangle Papers" and press releases and published a journal called Trialogue (now defunct). David Rockefeller has continuously served, since its inception, as "North American chairman" but is acknowledged as its prime mover.
THE COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS (CFR): Based in New York and comprised solely of U.S. citizens. Publishes the quarterly journal Foreign Affairs and conducts regular meetings and seminars. Key meetings are strictly confidential and offthe record. CFR was created in 1921 with Rockefeller funding and emerged as the American branch of the British Royal Institute on International Affairs (RIIA), succeeding an earlier, less organized entity already established in that role. The RIIA was the brainchild of English financier Cecil Rhodes (founder of the Rhodes scholarship) and devoted to the concept of reuniting the United States with the British Empire. CFR members, beginning with the Republican Herbert Hoover's administration on through the present day in administrations Democrat and Republican alike, have continuously been appointed to key policymaking posts. David Rockefeller himself served as a longtime chairman of the CFR and remains it virtual master.*
Just what exactly are those mysterious airplane vapor trails seen filling America's skies? A group of independent investigators may have the answer.
In a series of high-tech programs that would enthrall the most dedicated science fiction fans, the military is producing what have become known as "chemtrails" - the thick, viscous airplane engine trails that have been poisoning the air and ground with toxic chemicals.
For two years, The SPOTLIGHT has been in contact with experts in fields ranging from medicine to nuclear energy who have been investigating the mysterious trails left by airplanes in skies all over America and in many foreign countries.
These "tracks" in the skies, believed to be left by a combination of military and civilian aircraft drawn into the massive, multi-billion dollar program, are unlike regular high-flying aircraft's vapor trails. Instead of dissipating rapidly, these so-called "chemtrails" mesh together for hours and are often mistaken for natural clouds.
The principal chemical being deposited in the air consists of various mixtures of barium salts, which were revealed in studies undertaken by a Pennsylvania-based high-tech weapons scientist.
Chemicals, he said, were being utilized as part of the development of a new radar system at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
The base will be the site of a massive demonstration on Saturday, June 23, starting at 1 p.m. under the sponsorship of Ohio Citizens Against chemtrails, headed by Kim Weber, one of the citizens working on the chemtrail investigation.
The rally will be attended by hundreds of people from across the nation who are concerned about these poisons being dumped out of the sky onto millions of people on the ground.
Considerable effort has been put into chemtrail research by a physicist who has been associated with Brookhaven National Laboratory on Long Island, N.Y. The scientist with his fellow researchers, has determined that the chemtrails are being created by efforts of the military in at least four major, but separate projects.
The first project is an effort to block the rays of the sun from hitting the Earth, including ultra-violet radiation that will come through without an adequate layer of ozone in the upper regions above the Earth.
In the event of global warming, this, it is hoped, could lower temperatures on the surface of the Earth and block ultra-violet radiation from causing skin cancer in humans.
The aerosol being sprayed in this case is probably aluminum oxide or a compound that would have similar properties, and is the only one of the government programs that does not use the barium mixtures.
BLACK PROJECTS?
The second and most secret project is the Navy's Radio Frequency Mission Planner (RFMP) program, which is a system encompassing a group of computer programs.
One of its supporting subprograms is known as Variable Terrain Radio Parabolic Equation or VTRPE. This is a computer radio frequency propagation program that deals with radio waves and enables the RFMP system to visually see the terrain of a battlefield in three dimensions on a television-type screen.
The RFMP system also depends on satellites to supplement the images of a battlefield picture obtained from the ground, thus producing the 3-dimensional images.
In providing an interactive picture portrayed in the radar screen, the RFMP system allows the computer operator to develop familiarity with the "environment" before a war mission occurs by playing a variety of "what if?" virtual warfare scenarios on his computer screen. Since all major modes of radio frequency propagation are modeled in his computer (the RFMP system), special, sometimes counter-intuitive, cases can be examined in detail and exploited during a battle.
Initially, the VTRPE computer program only worked accurately over water and along coastal areas but not over land masses because the system's radar waves required an atmosphere condition known as "ducting," over land, to operate accurately.
This "ducting" problem was solved by releasing an aerosol, a mixture of barium salts into the atmosphere over the United States. Thus, they can make an atmosphere radio frequency "duct" with a base of barium aerosol released from aircraft.
One of the researchers, the physicist from Brookhaven, explained how the process works: The chemical and electrical characteristics of the misture cause moisture to stay in the clouds. The aerosol sets up an electrical and chemical environment that supports RF ducting for the RFMP/VTRPE warfare system.
"The mixture of barium salt from the aerosol when sprayed in a straight line will also provide a ducting path from point A to point V and will enable high frequency communications along that path, even over the curvature of the Earth, in both directions," he said. "Enemy high frequency communications can be monitored easier with the straight line A to B ducting medium."
The third project also utilizes the mixture of barium salts in the atmosphere and involves weather control. It is a project of the Air Force and utilizes concepts of radio frequency radiation, developed originally by legendary scientist Nikola Tesla, against the ionosphere above the Earth.
Known as the so-called HAARP project, it is manipulating life-support systems in the environment, testing and altering them for military advantage.
Air Force documents, obtained by the independent researchers. Indicate that "the risks are high be the rewards are worth it."
The mixture of barium salts, supporting moisture, is administered along the weather fronts and manipulated in a controlled fashion.
It is believed that microwave energy is also utilized in the weather control program. Weather data is also a required input to the VTRPE program of the RFMP system.
Perfect weather control technology will enable the military to withhold rain, cause floods, cause drought, cause storms, withhold sunshine, damage food crops, and bring any country to its knees without firing a shot.
The fourth atmospheric project is being run by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) as a means to detect and decontaminate enemy biological attacks.
The program also utilizers a mixture of barium salts ans the vase vehicle in aerosol, along with special polymer fibers. The combination allows detection of biological agents.
Some biological agents have actually been released onto the atmosphere in trials, testing the detection and decontamination systems.
It is believed that barium salt, polymer fibers and other chemicals in the atmosphere are the physical irritants that may be directly of indirectly responsible for unexplained nose bleeds, asthma, allergies, pneumonia, upper respiratory ailments and arthritis-like symptoms.
Chemicals sprayed into the atmosphere are producing air and ground conditions that may be harmful to humans and animals, while stimulating the growth of molds and bacteria.
Barium slats, an Earth metal, are toxins that absorb readily into the gastro-intestinal tract which are deposited into muscles and other tissue. No case data is available on the long-term effects of barium in humans.
"The programs remain secret because the Environmental Protection Agency and state environmental agencies need not know' about the by-products of the metabolites of these biological, illegal and harmful agents," said one of the researchers. "It's for that reason the combined projects have been kept secret from the citizens."*
The harsh light of publicity in Europe has, after all these years, put the rodents on the run.
For decades, Bilderberg has smugly considered its plans for a world government and subjugation of man on a Global Plantation an inevitable, unstoppable "wave of the future."
Now, Bilderberg is afraid its grandiose schemes are falling apart.
Bilderberg is feeling threatened by two things it most fears: public exposure to the truth and education of patriotic citizens of nations throughout the world.
The waves of publicity - newspapers, periodicals, television and radio - in recent years become a tidal wave when Bilderberg tried to hide on an island near Gothenberg, Sweden, at the end of May.
Depressed Bilderberg luminaries could feel their agenda unraveling, prompting panic calls to Washington, London and elsewhere. Some examples:
* Just a few years ago, Bilderberg expected Britain to be a full member of the European Union, eagerly embracing the common currency, the euro. Now, Bilderberg fears that "nationalists" will keep Britain from embracing the euro and surrendering more sovereignty to the EU.
* Similarly, Bilderberg expected the road to the "American Union" to be a high-speed highway. NAFTA was to expand rapidly throughout the Western Hemisphere - as David Rockefeller said on national television before the deal was actually sealed. As NAFTA expanded, its 90-man commission was to expand accordingly, forming the basis for the "American Parliament," Now, Bilderberg is afraid the next step, the Free Trade Area of the Americas, will fall apart.
Bilderberg knows that blocking the FTAA, and thus the "American Union," and erosion of the EU will knock the legs from under its scheme for world government.
But as public knowledge of Bilderberg's evil schemes grew in Europe, so too did popular 9opposition. It is less so in the United States, where, with the exception of The SPOTLIGHT, the blackout is virtually 100 percent.
Even as Bilderberg was meeting, Margaret Thatcher, who the secret group ousted as prime minister of Britain for resisting the EU, was bringing audiences to their feet with ringing speeches denouncing the euro and surrender of sovereignty.
With polls showing two-thirds of Britons opposed to the euro, the Labor and Conservative parties had made a deal: Labor would be silent on the euro, and the Conservatives would simply say it would not be adopted in the "duration of the Parliament."
Europhiles in both parties wanted more time to change public sentiment before calling for a vote. Initially, both had wanted to embrace the euro without a popular vote, but, as awareness grew, this became politically impossible.
ABSURD
Bilderberg's hand had been forced and orders were sent to one of their own, Prime Minister Tony Blair, to campaign immediately and loudly for the euro.
Blair was reduced to the absurd argument that"it is patriotic for Britain to share sovereignty" while Conservative candidate for prime minister, William Hague, decided it was expedient to echo Lady Thatcher and denounce the euro.
In addition, Bilderberg was nervous about loss of commitment to the EU from Italy and elsewhere.
Italy had just elected a "right-wing, nationalist" government headed by Silvio Berlusconi. The incoming prime minister had pledged Dramatic tax cuts that Bilderberg said would "undermine" the euro. He was also called "anti-immigrant."
A rising tide of opposition to the EU was also observed in Germany and France. Both nations had embraced the euro without a popular vote.
Similarly, Bilderberg expressed fear that the "extreme right wing" and "provincial nationalists" would block the Free Trade Area of the Americas, which is a major stepping-stone in the political integration of the western Hemisphere into the "American Union."
As public awareness rises, Bilderberg's star falls.*
Bilderberg undertook the most extreme security measures ever in a futile effort to hide.
Bilderberg has always employed heavy security during its secret meetings but this year the most extreme measures imaginable were introduced.
Inside and on the grounds of the Quality Hotel Stenungsbaden, situated in the island town of Stenungsund about 22 miles from Gothenburg, Sweden, armed guards guarded the guards who guarded not only the hotel workers but Bilderberg's own staff.
Police boats patrolled around the island keeping fishing and pleasure craft at bay.
A new high fence a half mile long had sprung up overnight on the bridge connecting the island to the mainland, making it difficult to dive in and swim to the Bilderberg fortress. This was in addition to a permanent safety fence.
Guards at the gate admitted Bilderberg luminaries by computer codes - they could honestly say they did not know who arrived unless they recognized the face, which they were ordered not to observe.
Hotel staff was ordered to "speak only if spoken to" and "not initiate eye contact." It is unseemly for a bellboy to volunteer "good morning" to royalty.
Computer codes, instead of the traditional typed list, were used to identify Bilderberg participants and their staffs. Participants were pinned with a photo-badge of one color, Bilderberg staff with badges of another color and the hotel staff with still another color.
The agenda was printed in Black on a dark red background instead of the usual black-on-white. This made machine copies all-black and indec8ipherable so they could not be copied and distributed.
No list showed which Bilderberg participant was staying in what room. A computer list involving participants and phone calls could be called up on a screen.
The SPOTLIGHT's Christopher Bollyn was seized by Swedish police on private property adjacent the Bilderberg complex. He was driven miles into the countryside and dumped. Bollyn returned the following day and spent hours high in a tree taking photos with a telescopic lens.
The following day, Bollyn SPOTLIGHT reporter Jim Tucker and investigative reporter Dan Hopsicker visited a large location under a bridge where police from Gotherburg and several other jurisdictions were camped out.
There, one of the leaders readily acknowledged that he headed the Swedish equivalent of a SWAT team, The SWAT boss followed the trio to a place of refreshment several miles away.
A source within Bilderberg, who believes that public business should not be conducted behind closed doors, required days to obtain the secret list of participants.
The source had to wait for "magic moments" - when the watching and listening guard stepped away for a sandwich and a colleague ventured to the restroom - to hurriedly, furtively scribble down names. Off-duty, the source copied the names neatly for The SPOTLIGHT.
All this heightened security was put in place by the host Wallenburgs, Jacob and Marcus, plutocrats who own half the stocks traded on the Stockholm Exchange and much of the country.
All of this was in the name of "Democracy," of course.
Ironically, the most extreme measures in Bilderberg history to maintain secrecy produced the opposite. Never before have the world's most powerful plutocrats been photographed and watched so carefully.*

The unwanted scrutiny - that is, unwanted by the plutocrats but wanted by us - has made it more difficult for Bilderberg to enact its nefarious globalist schemes without the world noticing. And as the World awakens to Bilderberg's plans, much to the dismay of the plutocrats, citizens have reacted by rejecting globalism and instead strengthening their sense of nationalism.
Each year, the European media increases the blizzard of publicity while the blackout in the United States remains nearly 100 percent.
Bilderberg was convinced, until the last edition of The SPOTLIGHT burst into print, that at least the sacred list of Participants remained secret. How long will it take Bilderberg luminaries to strip-search their own staffs to identify the "leak?"
Are they now convinced that there is no place to hide?
For a group sworn to secrecy - for years, they denied their very existence - Bilderberg has become its own worst enemy. SPOTLIGHT readers had advised the European media of the dates and places, then Bilderberg fired the flames of curiosity.
Numerous Swedish newspapers carried detailed advance stories on the upcoming meeting. Those in the media who might have thought Bilderberg was being taken too seriously - were they not just "grumpy old men" - become intensely interested when a high fence more than a half mile long was erected overnight of the bridge linking the island to the mainland.
SWAT teams and riot police assembled near the resort to protect Bilderberg in the event that anti-globalization protests broke out also drew the Swedish media's attention.
Twenty years ago, only a lone SPOTLIGHT reporter pursued Bilderberg, over walls or disguised as a groundskeeper. Now, in Europe, so many newspapermen and broadcasters have joined the pursuit that the scene of the crime is under observation virtually all day. Information is pooled.
Still, a SPOTLIGHT photographer had to spend six hours in a tree with a long-range telephoto lens in order to get exclusive photographs of the secretive group of power brokers, banksters and international fat cats.
Not knowing for certain until the meeting was over that the Bilderberg source would be able to obtain the list of participants, many were identified by observation in advance.
Some who were positively identified as attending were not on the list. They include Giovanni and Unberto Agnelli of Fiat from Italy and Marie-Josee Kravis, senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, from the United States.
Listed by absent was Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.), who was to make his third straight appearance as a potential president. He had planned to attend, but when the Senate leadership turned over - which caused panic at Bilderberg because of the threat of labor putting pressure on the Democrat majority to block the Free Trade Area of the Americas - Hagel remained for damage-control duties.
The holes in the list could have been deliberate, or the source within Bilderberg may have missed them in furtively hand-copying names of a computer.
However, in years when the list was either stolen by The SPOTLIGHT or coughed up under pressure from Big Media in Europe, some who have attended were absent from the official list. Notable among those was British Prime Minister Tony Blair when Bilderberg met at the Turnberry resort in Scotland.
More has been learned about Bilderberg's plan to establish a United Nations bureaucracy to keep the world's food "safe."
This was addressed by Franz Fishler the European Union's commissioner for agriculture and rural development and Dan Glickman, secretary of agriculture under former President Bill Clinton and former democratic House member from Kansas.
At the same time, Christine Whitman, administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, was representing this country at a food safety session of the European Union in Brussels.
Bilderberg is attempting, according to a reliable source, to move people in the western world off of farms and become more dependent on African nations for food. The propaganda line will be that this will bring prosperity to war-torn, impoverished Africa while the West will "benefit" from devoting its "human resources" to modern technology.
International corporations, such as Archer Daniels Midland - long represented at Bilderberg - will be able to exploit cheap labor while cornering the world's food supply and kicking prices skyward.
Such evil undertakings are the reasons for Bilderberg's super-secrecy. They are also the reasons Bilderberg must be exposed. SPOTLIGHT is no longer a lonely voice in the wilderness, now it is part of a chorus of protest.*
The United nations has trained its sights on gun owners around the world, calling for a ban on sales of certain firearms and global gun registration for others.
The United Nations is sponsoring "Gun Burning Day" on July 9 as part of its global program to disarm all "citizens of the world" - including Americans who are supposed to be protected by the Second Amendment.
The UN Conference on Small Weapons is sponsoring massive gun burnings to mark the opening of its New York session devoted to disarming individuals throughout the world. They call it the "conference on Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons."
Organizers said "the public destruction of weapons" is good because it is "one of the best ways to attract attention" to global disarmament, according to Richard Stevens of Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership.
The UN has been building on this for some time:
* In 1999, a UN report recommended that "all small arms and light weapons which are not under legal civilian possession and which are not required for the purposes of national defense and internal security should be collected and destroyed as expeditiously as possible."
* UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan in April 2000 called for "non-proliferation of small arms" because "these weapons must be brought under the control of state."
* A UN Committee of Governmental Experts last March recommended that all nations impose centralized "gun control" with detailed record-keeping and prohibitions against selling "small arms" to any except other governments.
Americans' fight for the right to bear arms has gone global.*
During his European tour, President Bush tried to convince Bilderberg that he is a nice boy at heart.
GOTHENBURG, Sweden-President Bush dined with leaders of the European Union here on June 14, less than a month after Bilderberg held its secret meeting at nearby Stenungsund.
There,
as anti-globalists protested outside the posh Radisson Hotel,
Bush reassured EU leaders that, despite political posturing, he
remains true to their agenda, as did his father, a member of Bilderberg's
brother group, the Trilateral Commission, when he was president.
Despite fears expressed by Bilderberg when it met in mid-May, Bush expressed confidence that the Free Trade Area of the Americas will come into existence, as scheduled, in 2005.
Despite his rejection of the Kyoto treaty, he will strongly support efforts under the auspices of the United Nations to deal with global warming, Bush said.
There was nothing to be gained by not taking political credit for scrapping Kyoto when the Senate-which would have to ratify by a two-thirds majority vote-had already rejected the treaty 95-0, Bush explained.
Three senators, Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.), Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.) and Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Tex.) are Bilderberg members.*
A federal undercover informant, Andreas Strassmeir, was operating alongside Timothy McVeigh for a long time prior to the Oklahoma bombing. That's the big secret the major media and the government are keeping under wraps. Slowly but surely the truth is emerging.
While the media devoted endless coverage to Timothy McVeigh's execution, the media censored the fact that growing numbers of bombing survivors and families of victims doubt that McVeigh acted alone.
Those who doubt McVeigh and the FBI base their suspicions on solid evidence that continues to emerge-in particular, long-suppressed FBI documents just recently uncovered.
Instead of reporting all of this, the me dia provided vast attention to advocates of the "lone bomber" theory-such as the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) of Morris Dees - allowing ADL and SPLC spokesmen to speculate about other potential terrorists who might bombanother building in the future. The ADL and the SPLC agree with McVeigh andthe FBI that McVeigh was a "lone bomber."
While the media shifts attention to the grief of those who suffered, the media ignores devastating evidence that federal undercover agents operated alongside McVeigh in the bombing, having had him under close surveillance for probably several years.
The SPOTLIGHT determined long ago that the key to uncovering the truth about the tragedy lay in unmasking the enigmatic German national Andreas Strassmeir. This, in fact, now seems to be a consensus among a diverse group of independent investigators including, among others:
o Ex-Oklahoma State Rep. Charles Key;
o Former London Telegraph correspondent Ambrose Evans-Pritchard;
o Journalist J.D. Cash;
o New American editor William Jasper;
o The late Glenn Wilburn and his wife Kathy (who lost two grandchildren in the bombing); and
o Ex-Marine Colonel Roger Charles (a former producer for ABC's 20/20). In addition, McVeigh's former attorney, Stephen Jones, as well as his most recent attorneys, Rob Nigh, Richard Burr, Na than Chambers and Christopher Tritico, have charged that Strassmeir was a key player in the scenario.
Well-known media figures such as Robert Novak and Sam Francis also raised questions about Strassmeir.
The evidence indicates that Strassmeir, if not a participant in the bombing conspiracy, was certainly a longtime deep-cover informant for some federal agency, whether the FBI, the CIA or the BATF.
ADL FOREKNOWLEDGE
For its own part, The SPOTLIGHT has documented that the aforementioned ADL had early, inside knowledge of McVeigh's activities, possibly provided by its contacts in one or more federal agencies, based on data probably provided by Strassmeir and his close associates.
That Strassmeir was an undercover informant also suggests that his close friend and sponsor (and attorney) Kirk Lyons was aware of Strassmeir's status and was, in fact, his "handler."
Since, for the past eight years, Lyons has been engaged in intelligence agency-orchestrated efforts to destroy The SPOTLIGHT - predating public reports of his involvement with Strassmeir - this adds further fuel to the belief that Lyons is a deep cover operative with a hidden agenda.
Lyons sounds like McVeigh prosecutor Beth Wilkinson claiming that allegations about Strassmeir are an "Elvis Presley" theory (referring to the claim that the singer is still alive).
Along with Lyons, the FBI, the ADL and Morris Dees, it has been elite media voices such as The New York Times, The Washington Post and Newsweek that have dismissed allegations regarding Strassmeir.
Yet, while the Strassmeir connection has been suppressed in the American me dia, foreign news sources have been more forthcoming.
The June 8 issue of The Times of London featured a revealing story about Strassmeir, saying that he could be "the missing piece in the puzzle." The authors clearly believe Strassmeir knows more than he is telling and that Strassmeir probably was an undercover intelligence operative.
The Times comments that "the syringe that executes McVeigh will also drain Strassmeir of significance; give him the status of a footnote"-in other words, eliminate forever the one confessed conspirator who could finger Strassmeir.
The London newspaper adds revelations pointing toward Strassmeir's strange connections. For example, it turns out that Strassmeir can read Hebrew-Israel's state language-as a consequence of having had an Israeli army girlfriend, "not exactly the typical choice of a neo-Nazi," the Times adds knowingly.
In addition, the Times notes that when Strassmeir first arrived in this country that this so-called neo-Nazi extremist "found friends easily-retired Army officers, CIA veterans, history buffs-and became part of a network" which the Times said "is powerful in the U.S., a web of influence that stretches into the Pentagon and the federal agencies, in churches and boardrooms, on the oil rigs and building sites."
Again, hardly the profile of your average grass-roots "extremist" but certainly the profile of an intelligence operative.
The Times concludes its remarkable re port saying that "we don't believe Strassmeir is John Doe II"-few people do-but adds, "there is a feeling, though, that in the huge cast of characters, all the losers, and fanatics that make up the opera bouffe of the Oklahoma investigation, only Strassmeir has the brain to be the brains."
Strassmeir claimed he is "really glad" that the missing FBI papers were uncovered, saying, "maybe they will show what garbage people have been talking about me."
However, when McVeigh's attorneys appealed to block McVeigh's execution, they cited newly-released FBI documents which suggested that, in the attorneys' words, "There was . . . evidence, withheld by the government, that another person could well have been the mastermind be hind the bombing."
The attorneys specifically named Strassmeir and one of his friends, Dennis Mahon of Oklahoma, as possible co-conspirators and charged that the FBI had engaged in a "scheme to suppress evidence" of their roles in the bombing. While the names of Strassmeir and Ly ons were revealed by the European-based Reuters News Agency on June 7, their names were totally suppressed by elite United States news sources despite a media frenzy over the midnight hour effort to block McVeigh's execution.
The Ameri can press continued to hype McVeigh's claim of having acted alone, censoring evidence that others were involved.
Also telling is that McVeigh's attorneys said information in the FBI documents "suggested that one of the other participants in the bombing was an informant for federal law enforcement officers."
Not only do most investigators seem to have concluded Strassmeir
(more so than Mahon) was the likely candidate but Mahon's own
statements suggest that
Mahon-involved in the bombing or not-now believes Strassmeir was
a
government man all along.
Another strike against Strassmeir has also been leveled by an ex-Marine officer, Roger Charles, a former producer of ABC's 20/20 who resigned in disgust when 20/20 canceled his scheduled report on Strass meir some years ago. In the July 2001 issue of Soldier of For tune, Charles says that there is "compelling evidence" that Strassmeir had "ac cess to prior knowledge regarding the bombing."
Noting that Strassmeir, in several interviews, while proclaiming his own in nocence of any involvement, had claimed knowledge (after the bombing) that 1) there were actually two yellow trucks connected to the bombing; and 2) that federal authorities had placed a tracking device on one of those yellow trucks approaching Oklahoma City on the day of the bombing.
Charles reports three different sets of witnesses told of seeing SWAT-dressed personnel with what were described as "hoops" near the Murrah building in the pre-dawn hours prior to the bombing, and on the interstate near Oklahoma City.
Noting that these so-called "hoops" are direction-finding devices used to triangulate the location from which an electronic emitter was active, Charles concludes authorities were tracking the bombers-having foreknowledge of their plans-and this was the activity seen by witnesses.
Charles avers that while the authorities were following a "decoy" truck, the truck used to deliver a bomb to the Murrah building made it to the site.
Charles points out that even The Denver Post conducted a six-month investigation of its own-never referred to in national news accounts-which concluded that not one, but two yellow trucks were involved in the bombing, and that the extra truck (that the government says never existed) "could hold the key to unlocking one of the most enduring mysteries of the case-how many people were involved in the bombing."
Where, asks Charles, did Strassmeir get inside information about a vehicle-tracking device used by federal officials?
That the ADL and Morris Dees of the SPLC are adamant in discounting the involvement of purported "neo-Nazis" such as Strassmeir in the bombing raises the question as to why these professional "nazi-hunters" are determined to discount the Strassmeir connection.
The only logical explanation is that Strassmeir was not really a "neo-Nazi" but instead, a classic "snitch" reporting back to federal intelligence agencies allied with the ADL-or that Strassmeir was an ADL asset all along.*
Dangerous Mexican drivers of unsafe trucks and buses are turning travel on American highways into a Third World nightmare as they are given the free access demanded by an obscure NAFTA panel.
Ten Democratic senators sent a letter to President bush on June 11 asking him to reconsider his plan to grant Mexican trucks and buses full access to U.S. roads. Granting Mexican truckers access "could seriously jeopardize highway safety, road conditions and environmental quality," the letter said.
Bush has said he intends to comply with the ruling of an arbitration panel created by the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) that ruled on Feb. 6 that the United states must allow Mexican trucks and buses to operate throughout the country.
"President Bush has made a firm commitment to implement the NAFTA trucking provisions, and his administration has begun doing that," U.S. Transportation Secretary Norman Y. Mineta said.
According to a timetable outlined with the Mexican government on March 22, the United states will permit Mexican carriers to operate throughout the country before the end of the year.
Although the 10 senators support NAFTA, which says theat trucks and their cargoes should flow freely between the two nations, they have serious concerns about allowing overworked and unregulated Mexican truckers driving unsafe rigs on American highways.
Rep. Jim Oberstar (D-Minn.) Introduced a resolution (H.R. 152) urging the president to delay allowing Mexican trucks and buses to travel throughout the United States until these vehicles are able to comply with all U.S. health and safety regulations and until the United States is able to adequately enforce these rules at the border.
Citing the lethal danger posed by unsafe Mexican trucks, the president of the Transportation Trades Department of the AFL-CIO, Sonny Hall, endorsed the resolution saying, "Mexico lacks a credible drug and alcohol testing program, put no limits on the length of a driver's day, and does a poor job of policing its unsafe operators - these are not trucks and buses we want on our roads."
Mexican truckers are overworked, underpaid, unregulated and have no union. Many work seven days a week for $150-$200 and are lucky to get four hours of sleep a day, according to investigative reporter Charles Bowden, who rode with Mexican truckers while researching an article published in Teamster.
"They do runs of up to 72 hours without rest. This calls for planning. One driver rattles off the kilometer numbers for places he gets cocaine between Juarez and Mexico city," Bowden wrote.
Nearly every driver that Bowden met had been in a fatal accident - and fled. One was carrying a 36-ton load when he fled a bus collision that killed 12. Leaving the scene of an accident is common in Mexico because everyone dreads the arrival of the police, Bowden said.
The international Brotherhood of Teamsters, which represents more than 300,000 American truckers, opposed NAFTA and has spearheaded the campaign to stop unsafe Mexican trucks at the border.
"If even one unsafe truck comes across the border, it's one too many," Teamsters spokesman, Don Owens, told The SPOTLIGHT, "International trade agreements should never subvert American law."
Currently, some 14,000 Mexican trucks cross the border every day and are supposedly limited to a 20-mile wide commercial zone within the U.S. border. However, in the Inspector General's 1999 report 254 Mexican carriers were already operating illegally in the United States.
The proposed changes will allow Mexican carriers to operate their fleets in the U.S. legally, taking work from more highly-paid American truckers and increasing the risk for everyone on the road.
Although less than one percent of the 4.5 million Mexican trucks that entered the country last year were inspected, nearly 50 percent of those were turned around because they failed to meet American safety standards.
Because most U.S. crossing points are understaffed and only have daytime inspectors, a Mexican trucker who has been turned around need only wait until the inspectors leave for the day to enter the U.S. Furthermore, there are numerous crossing points there are no inspectors at all.
Mexican trucks have a 99 percent chance of not being inspected at all while crossing the border. Mexican drug dealers bought border factories in anticipation of NAFTA and unregulated cross-border trucking.
The public has until July 2 to comment on the proposed changes that would allow Mexican trucks and buses unlimited access to American roads. Concerned citizens should call or write the White House and their senators and congressmen.*

Are China's scientists using stolen technology from the United States to develop their own high-tech surveillance and weapons systems?
There is a link between the Red Chinese forcing down a U.S. electronic warfare techniques being developed in conjunction with mysterious chemtrails crisscrossing America's skies daily.
The downed plane and chemtrails information, together, could significantly enhance China's military capability.
The June 11 SPOTLIGHT revealed that the military is developing techniques to wage war by depositing in the American skies chemicals identified as chemtrails left by high-flying jet aircraft.
These new war-fighting techniques include three-dimensional radar that can scan enemy territory from hundreds of miles away; a means of altering worldwide weather patterns; and a means of detecting and decontaminating biological and chemical weapons in the air.
Obviously, other countries are eager to get the secrets evolving from the chemtrails experiments.
As readers now realize, these experiments are being concealed from the American people, who are experiencing health problems from the release of the chemicals, including mixtures of toxic barium salts.
The Pentagon has said little about the type of electronics aboard the aircraft forced to land on Hainan Island except that it was observing military buildups on China's mainland.
With the new three-dimensional radar techniques being developed through use of chemtrails, s well as the means to wage war with the weather, which could destroy crops and cause severe food shortages for China's vast population, China's leaders are intensely interested in America's research.
The communists fear that those weapons, already being tested in America, may one day be directed at Red China.
Just how much of the ultra-secret technology the Chinese have culled from the plane is unknown outside military circles, but those secrets were certainly compromised to some degree.
Are Chinese scientist, through technology already stolen from America's laboratories throughout the years of President Clinton and now from the spy plane, developing their own super seek-and-scan radar - even, perhaps, weather weapons?*
